I went here to have sushi after my doctor's appointment today, and it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere of this restaurant is wonderful: it's very modern with fun wall decor, yet cozy, with the tables placed just closely enough not to be uncomfortable. The sushi menu was genuinely impressive--there was an incredible number of options, and it was difficult to decide which ones I wanted to try! The entire restaurant was in view of the sushi chef station as well as there being a dining counter; it was interesting to watch the chef's prepare my sushi from my table. The server was very attentive and service was incredibly quick. The Futo roll and Tuna Avocado roll were delicious and beautifully presented, and I think my Cucumber Salad was probably the most beautiful salad I'd ever eaten at a sushi restaurant! I also ordered a Hong Kong Milk Tea with boba, which was a bit sweet, and would have been better without the boba, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'd very much like to come back and try more of the menu. Remember to also tip your sushi chef for their hard work!

The only thing truly holding this place back is the inconsistent Drinks Menu which range from the cliche sugar based fruit smoothies, and certain exotic teas being listed bit according to some regulars haven't been back in stock for years. I'd like to blame covid but in all honesty it could be lack of interest leading to low restock priority.

You can order on the take outside if your in a hurry or you can enjoy the dinning side which features a more far-east theme with a Sushi bar and standard bar across from it.

Either way you will enjoy the food ornthe drinks alcoholic or virgin.

The sushi here is so fresh and delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The staff is amazing, super friendly and attentive. The second your glass nears being empty they swoop on by and give you a refill.

my fiance and I come here almost weekly. consistent friendly customer service and quality of food. Avocado salad is my fav. Orange chicken and various specialty rolls always a hit!

I've been coming here with my fiancee for months now and everything thing has been amazing! The taste has always been consistent and our waitress has always been nice, tend to us and goes above and beyond. I highly recommend the avocado salad!

My order to go total for $46.34 did not contain any hot mustard. I request only 1 hot mustard and was surprisingly denied. I was rudely told "if I want mustard I have to pay 50 cents for each one. According to the server "I don't care about the cost of your order and being a long time customer, mustard does not come with any order unless You must pay 50 cents for each mustard because the manager/owner Jason said so".

Great food, Try the Specials or combo's pricey be prepared.

I went with my husband and my daughter, we don't know the place, we arrived very politely asking to see the menu, and I don't know if the two people who are there, the waitress and the person who prepares the sushi, don't know how to speak English, they couldn't answer you if they could give the menu, my super kind husband asked for it again and the waitress there who by the way is the most rude and uneducated in the world with a rude tone told us to sit first, to which my husband agreed to sit and I told him what was happening, why didn't they show us the menu first, to which the waitress and the person preparing the food began to speak in their language angrily and the waitress proceeded to throw us out of the place making signs like "shu shu, leave from here", we did not deserve that treatment since we were only looking to see the menu first, we ended up leaving there angry and scared, I understand why the place was completely ALONE, I agree with other comments from the waitress, DON'T GO! He will give you a hard time thanks to his bad behavior, if he doesn't like customer service or doesn't know how to handle it, get out of there!

I have been going here for years and I'm happy they survived COVID. They were mostly take out until recently, when they reopened their dine in area. It's a quiet, nice restaurant with good sushi. I have gone to other places for sushi both in surrounding suburbs and in the city and this place is still the best one.

I’ve gone here twice already and I can’t believe how empty it always is! My party and I are consistently the only ones there in the evenings. The fish is SO fresh and when you order the sashimi, they aren’t skimpy at all! This has to be one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever been in a long time with lots of unique and delicious rolls. My wife and I have been enjoying a variety of Asian foods with consistent quality at Junki (rather an unfortunate name). For me, sushi is the main attraction. The variety, quality, and presentation has been consistently delightful. The salads are well dressed, the soups condimented perfectly, and the fish always tasty. For example, Saba or mackerel as nigiri or in roll seems to me that the chef has carefully cured and prepare the fish as shushi. The server we have had, a mid-age Asian-looking lady (sorry I did not asked for her name) has always been patient and very attentive to our needs at the table.
Lunch is a good time to taste dishes from various regions in Asia at a reasonable price. Dinner has been a time for us to enjoy quality of food with families and friends. I do not recommend ordering food to take out, which you have to do through J Wok, the store next door. The food and service have discouraged our business at each experience we had with them.
I encourage you to try Sushi Junki, which provides quality of food, great service, in a down to earth setting. Such businesses improve community life and we need to keep them around. Enjoy a culinary tour of Asian cooking!

I showed up at 915 and the dinning didn’t want to let us eat there, so I had to order for take out! So rude I don’t think that’s right. We still had time to eat, every time I come here I get the same thing and no problem. I’m usually in an out because I come here to eat exactly what I want.The kitchen people were literally just sitting and the lady as well just killing time when they could of easily just taken my order and let me enjoy my meal.

Wether you want a quick bite, lunch or a date, this is your spot. Service is great and the food is delicious. I’ve had sushi, the Chinese entrées and THE RAMEN!! THE Ramen is amazing, it will cure a hangover or COVID lol.

Stopped by here solely because I was in the mood for sushi (without looking at the menu), and we were very surprised at the breadth of the menu - sushi/Japanese dishes, but also Chinese, Korean, and Thai (maybe more - stopped looking because there were already too many great options). Pot stickers, pork buns, sushi, and bibimbap were all great, and the food started coming out quicker than we expected.

I’ve been coming here for a while and I typically don’t write reviews but this place is phenomenal, they’re busy for a reason and worth every penny. They pride themselves in quality and it shows, every single time. Cheers.

Calming and relaxing atmosphere, very beautiful space. The sushi rolls are huge! Some of the best sushi I’ve had, my boyfriend doesn’t really like sushi but after we tried it here for the first time he’s been wanting to come back again, and so have I of course!

Really great attentive service and menu options are through the roof. The sushi was Delicious and the establishment was very clean and inviting!

I give 1star for food and the customer service is horrible. Food is good and that's why I went today for lunch 4th time. Waitress was very rude and during lunch time charged us the regular dinner prices and than getting mad at me. Obviously during lunch time I am ordering from lunch menu. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant because of rude and bad customer service.

Live nearby, have to say this place has a huge menu and each time I come I try and switch it up, I have yet to have anything made wrong or to taste unexpected, service is a little slow but quality of quantity they put effort into each roll

I had a couple of orders of their sushi creations, specifically the Godzilla rolls and Berwyn Maki which are both fried rolls. The atmosphere is great and a good spot for couples, friends, or family. Delicious, fresh sushi at a reasonable price! It has a pleasant atmosphere overall, while the staff is attentive. Every visit has been during the weekday when it never seems too busy, but definitely a hidden gem.

I just ordered Sushi Junki for the last time. Ordered sushi at 6:19, still waiting at 8:31 despite repeated calls to them and reassurances from them that food is on the way. Food is good, but this is the last straw. We had put credit card numbers stolen twice at Sushi Junki as well. That’s it, never again. All this for $70. Rip off artists.

I just want to say I don’t eat sushi as much but i will say my love for sushi has grown after eating here.the most tastiest sushi I ever had I dined in as well and wasn’t aware of the time they closed and they were so accommodating and let us enjoy our meal. And I believe it was the owner who stayed after hours that even had great customer service along with the other employees, offered a small desert. This restaurant is fantastic. They just recently opened up back their dining side which has been completely remodeled. The restaurant manager was there and he was telling us about all of his new updates and was super friendly with us. The staff was quick with our food and were attentive to our table and the manager even poured our beverages for us at our table. I definitely would recommend going here for a dining experience because it was really beautiful and would even be a perfect date night because of the ambiance/ environment.

I actually really love this place for sushi. They’re usually right on top of it and all but today was a game changer. I had placed an order online ( as usual) and came by after 25 mins and waited longer- an hour to get sushi! During this pandemic I was waiting inside for an order that wasn’t even made ( as promised via email confirmation). I saw others come in and out with their orders, yet mine not ready on time. I call and the lady on the line said, oh we’re busy! Oh no, you actually missed it. I had my husband come and swap in with me and they forgot about it on their clipboard. Be honest and then offer a discount, a free pop, a discount for next time.. something but I received nothing, barely a sorry. No manager on duty to talk to me about it. This was my worse experience here. I’ll have to reconsider coming back.

Carry out is the way to go. Sushi is fresh and priced right. We ordered a mixture of Chinese specials and maki-rolls. Schezwan beef lunch special, comes with fried rice, eggroll and decemt portion of beef and vegetables. Sushi rolls to try are Dragon, Spicy Tuna and Rainbow maki.

Visited the Sushi Junki in Berwyn. Ordered the sushi online at 7:50pm and it said sushi would take between 15-25 minutes to be ready, so we allowed 25 minutes, then went inside to pick up. The woman at the register was very rude, when I told her I’m there to pick up my order, she yelled “sushi not ready”, so I asked how much longer and she said “sushi not ready, 20 more minutes!” So I let her know when I ordered it said between 15-25 minutes, and it has already been 25. Then she yells “sushi take 1 hour”. Well, than they should provide the correct time on their website! They made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Had we not paid ahead of time, I would’ve just canceled the order. Sushi was just ok...service was horrible. I won’t be spending my money there anymore!

If you like good sushi, I don’t recommend. If you don’t like sushi usually, try it out. The sushi rolls were doused in sauces & toppings, the rice texture was weird, and the ginger and wasabi were bad quality. I gave it a couple stars for being edible and delivering it within the estimated time.

For my first time experience here this was very terrible. There customer service is very unprofessional. Becky, the manager of this store, was extremely rude taking my order and rushing me as well. I ordered ten pieces of avocado sushi rolls, she then completed my order through the phone and she then took my credit card number, and hanged up saying "thank you bye bye." Without telling me my total and how long my order will take to be ready. After a few minutes, I went inside and come to find out my total was $121.66. She tried to blame this on me and was very unprofessional yelling, while I was doing my best to keep my composure through all of this. This was clearly her mistake, she didn't once repeat my order or tell me my total. Unfortunately, she didnt give me a rufund bc they just charged me and took it out from my bank already which I have to wait a week for it to return back into my account. They clearly need to work on their customer service from what I can tell from there reviews smh.

If I could leave no stars I would. Food is delicious but the service? Horrible. Waiter hovered over our table and took away our plates when we weren’t even done! Then he mentioned they were closing already when there was about two hours left. Not to mention once it was time to pay he DEMANDED a tip. And then told me off in his language which I thought was very disrespectful, I would’ve left a small tip of course if he would’ve given good service but in my situation I didn’t specially if the tip he was demanding was $5 or more. Then once I got my card back he said “next time go next door for fast food, no tip? Haha no tip? Bye” like excuse me? Horrible experience.

The crab rangoons and hot & sour soup are complete standouts, I order them every time. The smoothies are so delicious, and there's a million ways to mix flavors. I love the sushi. I did not like the thai food it was not authentic. I personally have not had the Chinese food, but my son loves it. I usually stick with sushi. I have sushi here at least 10 times and it has always been consistent...knock on wood.

We ordered and asked to order more and the waiter said not to order more because it would take 40 minutes to make our food because the party (5people) next to us "ordered a lot of food." It was unprofessional to say that in front of that party and also aren't you a restaurant and are supposed to accommodate to a big group in your restaurant? Then a couple next to us asked for napkins, the waiter gave the woman 2 napkins and told her "after this no more napkins." I was shocked that he even said this to her. Wow. I don't think we will ever be returning again or ordering to go after this poor service.

A terrible experience.

If I could give this restaurant no stars I would. I have been to this twice before the food was great and the service was great. I went this past Sunday my daughter wanted her birthday dinner at this restaurant. The moment we arrives we were told we have a two hour limit and had to be done by a certain time. I can only think it was because of the color of our skin..The service was HORRIBLE and while some of the food good staples like the Sushi and fried rice seemed as if it had been reheated from the previous week. While this was a nice little spot to go to I dont think I will ever go back to this restaurant.
