Called 2 minutes after ordering to ask if the tofu could be extra crispy & they said "No, it's done already." It's so mushy, why would anything be cooked for so little time? I've had good meals here before, but it's become way too inconsistent & poor quality.

Came in with a party of 12 with 4 young kids, and was so impressed with how great, fast and prompt the service was. Ordered and the food was out literally in 5 minutes ! Everything was delicious, servers were quick helpful and super friendly. Oh and their Thai tea is BOMB 🤤 ! Prices are slightly high, but the quick service and deliciousness make up for it!

The ambience is great. We ordered the Kao soy(the yellow curry dish) since it was on the daily special menu and it was one of the best I have ever had in my life. The crab rangoons could have been crispier, the tempura shrimp rolls were amazing.

Overall good experience, I would recommend the pad thai and fried rice. California roll was rolled poorly, and it would fall apart when we tried to eat it.

Best thai restaurant in Algonquin. Beautiful ambiance, fast and friendly service . Food tastes really good as well . Really nothing negative to say . On top of all, healthy thai food . Tried the spicy fried rice and it was really good , not very hot ( for me ) but flavorful. The one i like the most is basil fried rice !!

Food is incredible! Red Curry Chicken is my favorite, and the Basil Fried Rice with Chicken is good as well. We always order the Chicken Satay as an appetizer and a side order of Potstickers. This is by far one of the best Thai restaurants in the Chicagoland area! Amazing food and very reasonably priced. Great staff and wonderful service.

Most of the food is fantastic and the lunch special is a great value. Panang Curry, volcano fried rice and Pad See Ew are our favs

My family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 12 dined here. The food was pleasant, the service was ok. We enjoyed the curry chicken most. It was very flavorful. The kids liked the chicken fried rice.
We were shocked by the large party fee ($32) included on our ticket, especially because there is no notice in the menu. The food was good but we won't be returning.

Bangkok is my go too for a nice lunch with nice atmosphere, nice food, and nice servers to boot!! Every time I go there it’s always so calm and serene, and almost every time now a waiter there, Paul, serves me and he is always such a lovely person to chat with with how friendly and open he is. Looking for a good meal? This place should be your go too!

Second time here. Great Thai and sushi. Celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary and they made it very special.

Drove 20 minutes for this and it was CLOSED even though it said it was open until 9pm. We got there at 7:55. Very frustrating.

Last 2 times everything came as ordered. Today an appetizer took much longer and after main entrees were served. When the beef roll asparagus did come out, the beef did not have the teriyaki flavor infused through out the beef and the marinade was more liquid and not reduced like in the past.

Food is amazing but this place has terrible service. The servers prioritize cleaning tables over taking care of dining customers. The food takes long to get to your table and a party of 5 is considered a large party. Be sure to ask questions about the menu since the descriptions are confusing. Probably would place a to-go order but definitely not dining in again.

My husband and I dined here with our 1 year old on a Saturday night and it wasn’t too busy. Only half of the tables were occupied. A few minutes passed after we were seated, people started to arrive and they were seated at the tables next to us. Even though they arrived after us, they received utensils and the complimentary salad first. They even got to order first. Finally our salad arrived and the waitress still did not give us any utensils. She passed by us several times as well but nothing. The table next to us had to tell her we had no utensils. We would have understood if ALL the tables received the same treatment but no, we had to get their attention while they just check on other tables on their own. When it was time to pay the bill and get a to-go box, the waitress gave us a dirty box that looks like it had brown water splashed all over. I had to ask another waiter if they were serious. He was shocked and apologized when he saw it. He gave us a clean one and apologized again. Food was mid for $70 and horrible service. Will not be returning.

I tried this location after a long time. Feels like the taste is not the same. We ordered pad Thai (overpowered with tomato sauce). Pineapple fried rice was nicely decorated and the only dish which wasn't disappointing. Tom yum soup was okay and Boba tea was not good at all. Even kids refused to finish it. Overall not a great experience.

I’ve been eating Pad Thai for a couple of years from Bangkok Thai Sushi. They are consistent on flavor and spice levels. Sushi is 7 out of 10, but very affordable price. I will keep ordering my dinners from them.

Driving home from WI dells, so sick of fast food, pizza, and chicken tenders. This place was so friendly and CLEAN! Food was so yummy and we loved how there was a variety of options including boba for the kids! Highly recommend and this will probably be our go to place for future road trips North.

This restaurant is hands down one of my favorite restaurants. I have not had a bad dish. The new staff is a bit slower than the previous, and with the language barrier it’s a bit hard to understand at times.

We decided to visit that place because I am a big fun of duck dishes and did not disappoint.We tried Roast Duck Basil and Red Duck Curry, very good dish, reasonable portion, full of flavor. We also ordered a rainbow sushi rolls for our 5-year old, it came with 8 or 9 rolls and he finished ALL!! Like he normally eats max 3, so it is the best recommendation :-) Our waitress looked like as she was sleepy the entire time and super serious but there was a different waiter from another table that was very entertaining instead. We got a bowl of yummy matcha ice-cream at the end for my birthday. Overall very pleasant place with good food to celebrate. We will definitely visit again.

Definitely has become our go-to spot for delicious thai food and amazing sushi rolls. Upon entering, you are greeted with the warm and inviting ambiance that instantly sets the mood and it smells sooooo good inside. I highly recommend massaman curry for those who do like curries. if you are a fan of sushi rolls- I recommend them all, I have not had one I wouldn't like.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Impeccable service, which is hard to find lately. The food is delicious and the chef goes out of his way to accommodate special dietary needs! I eat a plant-based diet so I ordered a vegetable sushi roll and a noodle dish with tofu, no egg. I also ordered a curry, to take home to my son. The chef took the time to come to the table to ask me if I'm vegan because many of their sauces have fish sauce as an ingredient. I didn't think of this, so I was grateful to the chef to personally come talk to me about the menu, then make my meals without fish sauce. He also brought me spring rolls instead of the typical soup and salad that's usually presented with sushi, because they had animal products in them and he could make the spring rolls vegan. The meals were reasonably priced, more than fair in today's economy.

Really disappointed with this place. I’ve ordered from here few times and this time was just really unpleasant. I ordered 50$ of sushi and asked for spicy Mayo. When I picked up my order I was told the spicy Mayo is in the bag but I got in the car and my husband checked because he is a spicy Mayo guy and it wasn’t in there so I walked back and asked for spicy Mayo I was told they are running low and I asked well I spent 50$ on sushi I’ll pay extra for Mayo because most places charge extra. She rolled her eye and kinda refused to get my some but then walked back and brought me this tiny container. I asked how much she said again they are low but for free.
Will be going somewhere else next time.
I was also surprised the place was empty and it was Friday night.
Just disappointed because I really liked this place.

This place was empty when we got there and service was slow and then more tables were filled and then it got slower. We wanted to take food to go but decided against it because it took forever to get a server. However, the food was delicious! If you have patience and time, I recommend.

Great food! Many times when restaurants try to do multiple cuisines, some of them are not as successfully done as others. That is not the case here. We had some excellent sushi, and maki rolls followed by equally good Thai food. We will be back!

One of the best Thai restaurants in the area. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. The service was quick as our order took no more than 15-20 min to be prepared. We ordered the fried tofu, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles and all of the dishes were exceptional.

Eh... best describes their food. Heard the hype , went to grab a to-go order and for $130 we were expecting a lot more. Their "chicken with brown sauce " was dry. There was no sauce. The sushi was soggy. The pad thai was dry and way too sweet. Not to mention our oder was messed up. Props for the potstickers though , those were decent but again, for $130 it was way too bland and with the mistake, our dinner we all were so exicited for , left everyone a bit frustrated.. if i could recommend, id say panda over this place.

The food was really good except the messed up on the fried ice cream. They have us vanilla instead of green tea ice cream. It was my daughter's birthday dinner, so it was a little disappointing when we went to the freezer, pulled out the dessert. We sang happy birthday, they realized that it was the wrong ice cream.

Very bad experience after ordering first time! Zero service on pickup! Nobody care what you picking up! Finally found my order! More expensive then others sushi restaurants but less food. The worthless thing that I put a note NO avocado for all rolls. But they still added. I have avocado allergy. That fact destroyed all my evening and all night. Never ever!!!!

It's a shame to have to write this but as a warning to others be careful of the take out process. We ordered take out today and had the order in a little after 4 pm with a 5:15pm pick up. We ordered two sushi rolls so not a large order. When my husband got there a little before 5:15 the order was not ready or even started. He had to wait for 45 mins to get the order. As he waited he noticed all the Doordash and Grubhub drivers getting their orders first. At no time did anyone apologize or acknowledge the delay or care. It's a shame that regular pick up means less and doesn't matter to this restaurant.

Whenever we have a taste for Thai cuisine, we go to Bangkok. In the past, the portions were bigger and served on different plates. Our go-to is always a mussamam curry. Before we would fet a decent bowl of soup with lots of meat and peanuts. Recently,the bowl was halt the size, the liquid was barely there,and there were no peanuts. We asked our waitress about it,and she confirmed that there have been changes to the portion sizes. However, their sushi and starter salad are always really good! Our kids ordered tempura chicken tenders with rice which were really tasty,but the wait time was horrible. We were able to finish our entrees before the kids got their meals.. I truly hope they improve their management, especially that the flavor is still there... it would be really disappointing to see them make harmful changes to the restaurant.

I've eaten a lot of Thai food in different cities and Bangkok Thai ranks among the best I've had. We order on average a few times per month and we're never disappointed in the food. The staff is very friendly as well. There really aren't many Thai restaurants in the area so we're grateful to have this little gem close to us.

The Pad Thai doesn’t resemble anything close to a Pad Thai. My husband likened it to noodles with sweet ketchup- yes it was red. The Tom Kha soup wasn’t even remotely close to a Tom Kha either. I can’t even tell you what was going on there…?

Ordered UberEATS after an "asian" food establishment closer to me completely butchered pad Thai. I ordered super last minute, but the pad Thai here is very good! I like that the lime was super fresh and the peanuts are separate so you can add as much as you want. Could use a little more spice, but I ate every bit of it, so I'm happy!

Made an order for myself and 12 other colleagues online. It clearly states take out and delivery on the website. There is also a sign on their window at the restaurant. Called when our order was said to be ready but staff argued that they didn't deliver. Ended up sending someone to pick it up, and they were met with a rude staff member whom said "tell your people we don't deliver". Food wasn't even worth the attitude. I'll never be back

First, i hav eaten here several times and the chef preparing the cooked meals does a very good job, hence why i come back.
However, something needs to be done about the sushi chef. He's on showcase where the patrons can see him shoveling food in his mouth with his bare hand and not washing his hands and then people are supposed to eat raw food with his dirty hand germs? This behavior is bad for business. Please stop him now before it's too late. There are many other places to eat, people don't have to tolerate that.

Loved the apps, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and green curry. Each person wanted different spice levels which were perfect.

I regularly visit Bangkok Thai for both their thai and sushi selections. Their Tom Yum soup is the best around, very well balanced in sour and spice. I often get their black dragon and shrimp tempora rolls with a house salad. Very good. Their panang curry and Bangkok spicy fried rice are also a part of my regular orders. Once you find something you like, you just keep ordering it.

Love their spicy tuna roll because it's really spicy and all the sushi we've ordered so far has been fantastic. The spicy garlic shrimp Japanese appetizer is delicious and the Thai basil chicken extra spicy with an egg on top is so yummy. We usually order delivery right from their website and have never had any problems. We dined in last month and the service was great.

I ordered chicken egg rolls, chicken pad thai and basil fried rice vegetarian. The chicken egg rolls do not have chicken in them. I found in one a very tiny piece of ground chicken. The rice had burnt taste. The eggs are burned. The pad thai is the worst, no flavor. I can't believe this. I like thai food, this is terrible.
I called and asked for a refund for the egg rolls. Very disappointed.

This was my first time coming here because of all the positive reviews I have seen and I really enjoyed it. I got the lunch combo with rangoons, miso soup, potstickers and some other entrees. Everything came out fairly quickly and tasted good. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area who is looking for good sushi. I also had the California roll and that was quite delicious also. The host was attentive and friendly. She made us feel welcome. Overall, I had a really good experience!

We've been going for over 6 years. Love the fried rice dishes and sushi rolls. Been through new ownership, menu revisions and internal renovations- and COVID take out. Changes have always been for the better. A regular stop on our date night out.

I can’t say enough good things about Bangkok Thai and Sushi. Aside from amazing food, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. I am gluten intolerant and they made my meal gluten free- which, is actually very hard to come by! Their sushi rice (the vinegar used to flavor it, specifically) is also gluten free! I ordered three different rolls- two I specified needed to be gluten free and the other contained gluten (it was for my mom) and the sushi chef made sure to mention to me that it had gluten- it was very thoughtful of him! We also got fried rice and pad Thai, both were amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant!
