Nice place with inviting bar. Phad Thai I've never had sweeter, almost like a pancake syrup. Red curry zero taste, almost like dish water. I've eaten Thai food all over northwest over 40 years. This is right up there with the worst. Quick service. Maybe it was time of day being in between lunch and dinner at 2:00 although there were customers.

Also tried the fresh vegetable spring rolls/summer rolls with peanut sauce (made in-house), and the tom kha soup (small bowl is still very generous) - all excellent and tasty, they have a spice rating of 1-5 and level 1 still offered fantastic flavour. Family suggested that levels 2-3 were quite spicy, although we are generally weak when it comes to spice! Visited on Sunday evening and it filled up fairly quickly after we arrived. Good on-street parking just outside. The waitress and servers were fantastic and joined two tables for us for a party of 5, giving us loads of room.

Good, consistent Thai food with a homely interior. Krung Thep was a very nice spot where you could chill eat some good Thai food and watch the game on one of their big screens or at the bar. To start I got the Thai iced coffee which was really good. It was a large size for an affordable price. The drink was very refreshing and had a lot of coffee but it was just a little too sweet and I have a massive sweet tooth so the drink was exorbitantly sweet. It was a good contrast to the spice filled entrees though. Then I got the wonton soup which was HUGEE for its price. It had wontons filled with shrimp inside and it also had plenty of veggies and chicken in it as well! Everything as very well cooked and the meat and veggies were tender and the perfect consistency. The soup had a clear chicken broth that was sweet and salty which also had a little bit of tanginess as well! The service was fast even though the restaurant was packed and the servers were all kind. OVERALL I would definitely recommend Krung Thep to others when driving through Idaho Falls you most likely won’t find a better option!

I love Thai food and was in downtown Idaho Falls today and figured I would try out the food here. We got Pad see ew , orange chicken and chicken satay. Everything was delicious and the portions were enough that I could have save some to take home and still been full. It did take a few minutes longer than expected for them to take our order, but they got our appetizers salads and entrees out very quickly. We both enjoy spicy food got spice level 3/5 and I felt that it was fairly mild. The breading on the chicken was light and crispy with good flavor, texture and flavor of the pad see ew was good and I always get a little extra peanut sauce to add and it was delicious. For the two meals and tip at lunch was about $30 which is reasonable for a sit down restaurant. 9/10 and recommended this for anyone looking for good Thai for reasonable price!

This is hands down my favorite Thai food place in the area! The flavors are so deep and rich! My favorite food to get here is pad see ew with 0 spice level. I’ve tried the chicken and shrimp ones. The curry is also really delicious. My husband really liked his duck curry today.
Lunch menu usually comes with a spring roll and salad. I absolutely love the peanut sauce with the salad. They forgot my spring roll today, but gladly they gave it to me after I asked for it.
We also always get mango sticky rice. The mangoes weren’t very sweet this time, but I’m glad they started giving more mangoes because now it worths the price better.

The food was impressive. Much better than I expected! Lunch specials were a great value.

We ordered to go fried dumplings, a chicken Pad Thai and a Spicy fried rice. The noodles were overcooked and Pad Thai too sweet. The fried rice was very clumpy and sticky and not much chicken in it. I had better Thai before. Was disappointed.

Fantastic Thai selection. I tried the Cashew Nut dish with chicken with the spring roll appetizer. Wonderful!

A regular dining spot for me. Always a good experience. My favorite is the masaman curry, and I love the peanut sauce on the side salads at lunch.

I grew up in Idaho Falls and lived there off and on for 40+ years. My career took me from there, but I occasionally go back to visit family.

We've been to Krung Threp more than 10 times and I can say this is some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Including places I've been to in Toronto, Ottawa, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Their Curry's are flavorful and full of vegetables and meat. Their Drunken Noodles are amazing. The Fresh Ginger stir fry is a favorite. If I had time, I'd try the entire menu and I'm confident it would all be excellent.

I'll be stopping in there next time I'm in Idaho Falls!

Kind of my go-to place for Thai food. I had the red curry with chicken, heat level number three. It's one of my favorite meals what I'm eating out. The staff is great. They've always been attentive and ready to help me.

We ordered several dishes for our table and loved them all. They also have so many gluten free options that were all delicious.

Very flavorful cuisine. So well balanced. It’s the best I have had. They took care of our varying vegetarian needs very well. And did not complain when we stayed well past their closing time

This is my favorite resturant in Idaho Falls. The only problem i have ever had is getting my moms food too spicy, but they remade it for my mom graciously. Absolutely try this place the curry is amazing!!

Visiting from across the state, usually go to Blue Hashi and though the building outside looks historic and unrestored, inside was very nice. The food is very good and service as well. Glad we listened to other reviews and stopped in.

The food portions have really decreased...to the point where my husband was still hungry after eating. It was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant. I dropped the food and atmosphere scores to 3 stars. ***

I visited with my eldest son and husband. We were the first customers there for the day. The service was very good, friendly, and fast.
We ordered a BWM roll to share. It is the only roll my husband, who doesn't like sushi, has ever liked. I really enjoyed it a lot and probably could eat almost two of them alone. We then ordered three entrees to share, sweet and sour chicken, pad Kee moa w/beef, and panang curry w/chicken. All of the dishes were very tasty and well prepared. The portions were a nice size, not too much, but plenty to satisfy. I tasted a little of each dish and was happy that we had leftovers to take home.
The restaurant is in an old building down town with very few parking spots and it kinda feels/smells like it's age. It has a clean and pleasant atmosphere, but the damp/ musty smell that I experienced upon walking inside is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. (I have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell.) I'm sure once they get cooking for the day, you probably wouldn't notice it. I remembered to take pictures, but we had already started dishing out the food.
**Update**We went back and got the BMW roll again and a beef salad. Unfortunately, the roll was not good this time. I like the flavor of the beef salad but my husband did not. It had a lot of fish sauce on it which he did not care for. So I had to take away one of the stars for food. Overall still a good place to go, but if they're not consistent with the food quality then I don't know that I'll go back.

Was one of my favorite restaurants in Idaho Falls. Until the last couple of months.
Sushi is not made at the sushi counter and is no longer made with listed ingredients.
Service is not as good as they were, no longer friendly.
Menu items from the regular kitchen aren't constant.
I hope things go back to the way that used to be

Big complaint - i came and ordered a lunch special for $11. Off of the the lunch menu. In front of the waitress. They brought it out, food was good. Then the bill came, and it was for $15. Supposedly if you dont verbally say "lunch special," they will automatically make the dinner portion. And of course charge more and be very pushy about it. Only 2 stars for bait and switch scam.

Service: Their menu had clearly written that they will add 18% gratuity for groups of 6 or more. We were 5 in our group and yet, they added the 18% gratuity. We saw another group complaining about the same thing, so we asked as well. The lady was pretty mad that we caught it. She printed a new bill without the 18% gratuity. We added tip for the new bill (~14%) and then she was very explicitly unhappy about the amount of tip. I have never been to a restaurant where server asks why didn't we give more tip.
Food: Our cashew nut stir fry was swimming in a sea of oil. We ordered a spice level 3, but it was way more than that. It was very spicy. 2 in our group later had stomach problem due to the oil and spice. But some of us are okay with spicy food- for those the taste was decent.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place and it’s great! There’s a bar and many TVs for sports. The waitress was attentive and the food was delicious. I ordered fried chicken and fries, crab cheese wontons, chicken fried rice, and sesame chicken. I loved the sauces that came with the fried chicken, just the right amount of spice.

Great food! I had dumplings and a curry and both were good. The staff is fast and kind and the food came out quick and hot. The rice was slightly dry, but not enough to really care.

Went here as a last minute choice since they were one of the last places open. The service was great and friendly despite us coming in 45 minutes to close. The food was phenomenal, we ordered orange chicken and pad Thai, which was a safe option but we plan on branching out more next time. The prices were also beyond reasonable and almost too low for the quality. We plan on eating here again soon, one of the best meals I've ever had at a reasturant.

Genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed the Pad Thai and Pad Kee Moa. Service was so friendly and the interior was eclectic and fun. We traveled all the way to Chiang Mai, Thailand, the birthplace of Khao Soi, to see what real thai food tasted like. It was wonderful, but I can confidently say, after spending 2 weeks trying every Khao Soi dish I could, Krung Thep's Khao Soi is still the best I've ever tried.

Probably my new favorite place to eat. I love the orange chicken and had a few bites of my husband’s dish, which I wish I would have ordered myself. Very classy and very clean environment. We looked up the meaning of the name “krung Threp” and it means City of Angels. I love this this place. Food is soooo good.

Wow!! Fresh, authentic and serving size generous. We had a sushi roll and two entrees and three pours of an adult beverage and our ticket was inexpensive! Loved everything!

This was, without question, one of the best meals we've had in a long, long time!!! The flavours in each of our dishes (Celiac and Vegetarian) were different but equally rich and layered. Serving sizes were generous and value apparent. The service was warm, fast, and flawless. We're on a stop over on our way home to Canada and I'm actually trying to justify another trip to Idaho Falls just to visit this restaurant again!!

This place was surprisingly good!! Very nice decor and delicious food! I have to admit that I was not expecting much, everything we ordered were made with fresh veggies and tasted wonderful, although I could use less sweetness in the noodles.

Always fast service and my go to is always on point. pineapple fried rice with chicken, shrimp and extra pineapple.

The drunken noodles with beef were the best I have ever had! The orange chicken was on point! Lightly breaded and crispy fried…. Exactly how they are described on the menu. It was a fancy little place! Not busy or crowded (I went Tuesday evening). The food was really good!!! I got the glass noodles (which are a favorite of mine) with chicken. The spice level of 1 just gives it flavor and no spice, so if you want a little kick, 2 is not bad, and 3 is just right. But if you want the real spice, go for a 4 or 5.
My date got the fried rice with a level 3 spice and it was great as well!
We received our food relatively quickly.

The Massaman curry was pretty good, and we were seated and served quickly despite how busy it was.

I ordered Tom yum shrimp the bowl size and mixed vegetable with pork. Both 5 star spicy. If 5 is thai spicy 2 has to be black pepper. Pickled Jalapeños are spicier. My rice I opted to upgrade to fried. If I had known it would come half empty I would've just kept the jasmine. My bowl of soup had exactly 4 shrimp. I opted to come here because of the high rating and amount of reviews but felt even panda would've been better after I spent 30 bucks for what I got.

We went yesterday at night hopping nothing but the best and we had the worst experience ever they were racist towards us we got there way before some other people and they took their order first (they were white ) and that was only the beginning when we got our food the smell of the meet was horrible it has a weird taste we Didn't even ate .
Such of bad experience for $80 dollars that we paid I wouldn't never go back here .

Krubg Thep is one of the best places to eat in Idaho falls. We always order a sushi roll alongside an order of yellow curry.

So , the portion got a lot smaller and , more pricey, won't come here again for a while , service is really worse!!!!

The food was disappointing. My husband and I got two different soups and both were overly salty to the point we couldn't even eat half. The Pad Thai was super sweet and the curry was lacking flavor and again very salty. The food wasn't good and we were bummed we spent our money here.

And to top it off they have full sized beer mugs!! Everything was perfect and well priced 👌👌

I stopped here a couple of years ago, and it is just as delicious today

The best Thai place in Idaho Falls. The service was good and they asked about spiciness for each person by number!

It was a very busy day for them, but the food made up for the time before getting sat.

The server was on the ball the moment we showed up. "Your 1st time right?" He patiently gave us a tour of their cuisine. I chose the Calamari appetizer and of course Pad Thai.

The waiter carefully explained we each got to choose a level of spice. My somewhat wimpy friend Gary was a gringo 1 on a 1 - 5 scale. I confidently chose a 3.

Great food all around. Hand made Wontons! My 🥜 peanut based dish was likely a good pick with level 3 spice. Going on to a proud level 5 next time.

Updated. This restaurant alters your tip after you leave, leading to inflated bills. What was initially a $66 bill became $74.97. It's disappointing that such practices occur in a reputable town. The service was subpar, with numerous tables yet limited staff. We endured a 40-minute wait for our meal. I ordered curry and noodles, hoping to mix them, but the curry didn't arrive until after I'd finished the noodles. They dismissed my concerns, saying it wasn't a big deal. Consider the extended wait time if you're thinking of stopping at this restaurant during your road trip. Altering the bill post-dining is unaligned with the essence of American dining etiquette.

We made the silly mistake of ordering sushi at a Thai restaurant. The sushi was terrible, not fresh, slow, and zero kick to the wasabi. We also had the curry and that was pretty good. Would not go back.

The yellow shrimp curry was very good. The service was excellent.

Top level Thai food. I would go back.

Just had lunch here. I loved the green curry and the sticky rice with mango. Portions are large, so me and my husband split everything. I would definitely come here again.

Thai curries are great here, really liked the taste. Didn't like their dessert much. We had the mango sticky rice but didn't like it much. Service was good.

I enjoyed the Panang curry and fried rice.

The Spicy Eggplant on the a la cart menu was exceptional. Panang Curry and Tom Kai soup were both 10/10. I wish I lived here so I could come weekly. Yum Yum!

Great food, but service was pretty bad. I usually don't complain about wait times but they took an exceptionally long time to do anything for us: get our drink order, get our drinks, get our food orders, get us a check, take our card, etc. They may have had short staffing issues, not sure. I'd eat here, but just be prepared to be there for a long time.
