Down-to-earth restaurant serving a range of classic Thai dishes, including vegetarian options.
Eating Thai food is like a part-time job for us. We live on Maui and we are in Thailand exploring Thai food quite often. Thailand Cuisine at the Maui Mall is your best choice for authentic Thai food. The owners are there every day, full time, ensuring that every dish is prepared to perfection. When you are ready for high-quality, fresh, authentic Thai food, check out this hidden gem!
I have been to Maui 4 times and had Thai food every time I visited…Thailand served me the best Thai food I have ever had on the island. The owner are original from Lao, they are real nice people!!! Pls check them out, it’s only 6 minutes from the airport in case you get out the flight hungry or before catching your flight.
Great food! Excellent staff! Accommodated very hard food limitations, including vegan + no sugar. AND sent us our forgotten credit card. GREAT RESTAURANT ALL AROUND! ✨🙏🏼✨
We stumble upon this Thai restaurant while we were looking for food in the Maui mall. I like the decorations and the vibe of this place. It looks very authentic and traditional. Their Thai ice tea is also bomb! It taste very tea liked but with Thai style ! Their food is okay, rice is not included doe ($2.95) for a tiny bowl of rice. The server that day was not very friendly
Absolutely hands down the best Thai food I have ever had. I am surprised this place is not rated high! It’s an easy sit down, comfortable and the food is delicious. We got the red curry and Yum Woon Sen Chicken salad. That salad 🥗 is to die for. I would fly from LA for this!
This is the best Thai Restaurant ever.
The plates were so good
I'm from San Diego, and this restaurant is the most I miss from Maui.
If you have the chance, don't lose it.!!!
Incredibly flavorful food in a nice and cozy setting. Really loved the chicken salad - yum woon sen. it really put all the salads I’d ever had to shame.
The red curry was also really good. You can select your spice level. We selected medium but could have easily ordered spicy.
Highly recommend.

Place is very hot. Does not have AC !
My family & I use to love this place. Today was the first day after 5 years since we ate here , the food is not as good. Portion really got small and flavors are not as tasty. We are disappointed and will not be back.
Excellent curry
Not as advertised. Prices on the actual menu in the restaurant are around 30% more than displayed here. Food is awesomely delicious; its just feeling cheated with respect to prices.
Very bland food for it to be a Thai place
Paid $26 for the seafood vegy plater. Rice extra!!! Said no I’ll have a bowl of won ton soup instead. Brought out seafood and we’re going to bring out soup as well??? Veggies were cold and I think it was a scallop tasted like chicken. Obviously it all came out of a bag of frozen supplies. Was hot and hungry and had to get to the airport so ate it and left. Worst meal ever!!
Very nice
One of my favorite Thai restaurants on all the Hawaiian Islands. I keep returning since 15 years. Highly recommend.
I were ordering a food lunch on the website app. To have alunch
meal
red curry, lemongrass chicken were superb. Vegetables and sauces have a fantastic freshness! Get them spicy and the cool the burn with some iced Thai coffee.

Nahh bro this place should be shut down this place is trash im sorry but with all do disrespect it is garbage never come here!! AINGGG
Coming from upcountry, this is our go-to Thai restaurant. We continue to enjoy dining in with family or a date night, as well as grabbing takeout.
This quiet little place is super amazing! We actually stumbled upon it by accident while on holidays in Kahului. We have had Thai food in many different cities in North America and by far, Thailand Cuisine is one of the best!
The chef’s expertise with just the right amount of aromatic and fragrant Thai spices was exceptional. We had both medium as well as hot spiced dishes and all were appropriately seasoned.
We would highly recommend the Tom Yum shrimp soup #15 as well as the Thai red curry shrimp with pineapple #36 and the most creamy and delightful chicken Pad Thai #21. I must also add that the staff and manager were very friendly, professional and accommodating. The restaurant was very clean and there was quite a bit of takeout customers as well as dining in. In closing, I would be remiss in not suggesting that the meal won’t complete without ordering a Thai Iced Tea. It was totally the bomb‼️‼️
I can hardly wait to return on our next trip to Maui‼️‼️
Delicious Yellow Curry with chicken and Pad Thai. You can choose your spice level. Very clean. Definitely will frequent.
Delicious Thai Food!
Employee/owner hung up on me as I was asking a question. I was literally mid Sentence. Great food poor service.
This place is our go to for great Thai food. I love the coconut soup and the chicken pad Thai. Excellent service, quick to bring out the grindz, and consistent quality food. We're already looking forward to our next date night. Thanks Thailand Cuisine! 🙂🤙
This used to be my go to thai food spot. Over the last few years the food has gotten worse. But I ordered it today because it was the only thai place open. Menu said my Tom Kha Gai soup was 13…ended up being 18. Friend banana with ice cream said it would be 7…ended up being 16. and the THAI TEA ended up being 16. Absurd. When I called to confirm the individual prices I was shocked. I told them to update their online menu, they just said sorry. But of course they will not be doing so. Never going here again. Complete scam and waste of money.
Was charged $16 for a Thai iced tea… not much more to be said
Very thorough covid protocol. Fast, friendly service. Delicious, fresh, flavorful meal.
Best Thai Food on Maui! Great service also!!!
Excellent traditional Thai food
I love this place. Something has changed... a new face was there for sure. I love the beef (which was not as tender as usual) salad. I ordered dressing on the side. Got it confirmed. I live an hour away, stated that it wasn’t for much later. Turns out, the next day, when I opened the box, everything was soaked, the lettuce, not as crispy as I anticipated. I ordered it medium (the box is clearly marked, I triple checked) - there is no spice. The one I ordered hot, set the heat lover in the house on fire. My medium Tom Yum was mild at best. The take out portions seemed smaller, my other half asked if all of the ginger beef was for him. I recall the owner saying she wanted to sell, if this is the case, and the name & prices remain the same to keep the old customers, the food and service have to remain the same or better for me to be dropping $100 for dinner. All the dishes lacked a crispness. Everything could of been kicked up a notch or two - flavorwise. The dressing, the Tom Yum, the larb and the green papaya - it was not up to par. I will be re-thinking my Thai restaurant choice for the next round.
Nice place.. good food .
Nice sized shrimp in the Tom Yum. Everyone's orders the red curry... the chicken was chewy.
All food here are so delicious 😋 the server always so friendly ☺
Friendly staff and owner, a nice variety of Thai food, and good size servings, on top of tasty food!
The best thai food on Maui. If you know anything about thai food.
I ordered 3 takeouts with 3 orders of jasmine rice for $78. I love Thai food but this was the worst Thai food I've ever tasted, it's mediocre at best. Plus it is was extremely expensive and each meal I ordered only filled up half the takeout box, smallest portions of food I've ever seen. 100% not worth your time or money. Go somewhere else.
I ordered chicken yellow curry with sticky rice, the curry was in a box instead of a plastic bowl no salt added very disappointing expensive with small portion.
Thailand Cuisine has excellent curries. The location in Kukui Mall Kihei is my favorite dine-in Thai food restaurant on Maui and I get take-out at this one sometimes. Highly recommended.
Red curry was phenomenal. Fiance got the pad thai and said it was average. Not a lot of vegetables or peanuts.
Service was quick, friendly, small place but very comfortable. Very reasonably priced.
Would definitely return.
Really good food, lots of choices, good service.
Eh, it’s not that good for the price.
The best Thai restaurant I tried so far! Great tasting.
Good food, small portions, expensive prices, very nice people serving you
Food is good, Yellow Curry is my favorite. Prices are a little higher than most, especially with the quantity given. Its good for a snack or appetizer, but getting full is a little challenging.
Food may be mediocre but at least it’s expensive! Try Thai Mee Up by Costco or upcountry if you want good Thai food. This is not the place.
Very gracious service and the food is always outstanding!
The two female employees were ultra impatient and had no introduction to customer service!
Food is great
Green curry taste the real Thai green curry.
Panang Curry is the best! Funny muted Thai singing shows on TV's.
Eh... not that good. The Pad Kee Mao tasted like curry (not supposed to), and everything I ordered was bland. Just go somewhere else.
Excellent food and service
Great food and service. Always come back.
The foods are great.. service excellent..
Food was good once we got it but the service was terrible, more employees to serve customers would help...
This place used to be better. Raised prices and less product, make this an underwhelming experience, if you ate there ten years ago. Don't expect large portions, or abundant veggies, your free refill, or any item to be more than you expect. This place has pared down the portions, the variety of produce, everything- to a bare minimum... Even the service is minimal, as they are busy watching TV which is on and degrades the dining experience... The flavor is still there, which is why they get 3 stars.
This place is super expensive, service not so good, I asked for Thai hot never got it, they finally said they don't buy the peppers anymore, too expensive. I tried this place a few times, but never got the true heat I was looking for, found better places then this place, better food cheaper prices..
Absolutely enjoyed the food here. Definitely would go with the standard or "basic" dishes. Ordered whole fried fish, which was too expensive at $35 Market Price and the sauce tasted like too much tomato, not very authentic thai. Green papaya salad was delectable.
What a great find in Kahului. Outstanding service and some of the best Thai food outside of Bangkok. They have a very extensive menu. Try this place you won't be disappointed.
Curry baby.
Very tasty Thai food! Excellent service.
Okay
Worst Thai food I ever ate. Food tasted like it was from 3 days ago.
Once a month foodies fix. Very good.
Great food. A solid five. Service was a 3.5 to 4 but it is a mall restaurant... Worth the stop!
Great food and good prices. they can actually make spicy thai food which is awesome
Umm is this Thai food? From my experience at EVERY other thai restaurant on Maui, make that the world, there is some kind of spice/heat involved. I typically order my massaman curry chicken medium as it gets you sweating a little but not as if you have to take a break from it while eating. It comes in a creamy reddish orange color normally and has chicken, onions, potato etc....Well my dish had no color to it, almost white like a gravy, and if there was onions in it I couldn't tell. It was mostly potato (As most sub par thai places uses to cut down on cost and to fill you up) with a piece of flavorless chicken here and there. But most importantly or I should say disappointedly, there was no heat to it. I mean NONE what so ever! It's like they boiled potatoes chopped them up and threw some coconut milk on top and wala! No thank you. Then the chichen thai coconut soup...normally my favorite. It was hot temperature wise which it should be(probably the only thing done correctly) but I went to take a bite and there was 3 HUGE mushrooms in it that when I took out accounted for 30% of the soup! I have NEVER had this soup where the mushrooms weren't cut up to some extent and definitely should not be the focal point of the dish , but these babies where to big to eat and had to be cut into 3rds to eat. So I took them out and found the chicken. It was so over cooked it was curled up with zero flavor and chewy like a piece of beef jerky. There was hardly any vegetables other then the 3 huge mushrooms and a very faint lemongrass flavor and ZERO heat. I stopped there and ate the chicken satay which was palatable but I am pissed off I spent $70.00 for this food which is bland and poorly cooked/prepared. If you like bland thai food then sure it's edible but I would recommend ANY of the other 10 + thai restaurants on Maui over this place for sure!
Tom KA gai. Pretty good. Pineapple fried rice tasty. Will come back
All time favorite and anytime go to place. Love the food and ambience
We ordered veg and chicken pad Thai. Both were very tasty and quantity was also good. They have lots of options for vegetarians
Loved it....
Good food. I went for lunch with some new friends. It has a cozy atmosphere, prices are fair.
They changed their chef & menu . Not as good as before . To bad , I use to eat there twice a month . I found other Thai restaurants . Pretty good !
Oh yeah ... found a great place to eat! Had the drunken noodles, Thai hot. Even the appetizers were extremely tasty.
Love their cuisine one of my favorite dishes there is the Garlic fish I highly recommend you order it if you ever visit Thailand cuisine...!!!
Not good, expensive, not very large portions, poor service and not at all spicy, even though we ordered medium-hot.
I love this place. Intimate and charming. Great food.
Was very disappointed. I wanted to try a different Thai place then my usually choice. I ordered takeout. Vegetarian Tofu Tom Yum and Pad Thai. The noodles for the Pad Thai were all cold and stuck together like it was sitting for awhile and it only came with a few pieces of veggies. (Broccoli and carrots) The Tom Yum seemed watered down. Not very much flavor. Also had the same small portion of broccoli and carrots. Not much vegetable variety. For the price it’s not worth it. I will not be returning.
Ordered beef pad see ew and red curry duck (very mild spicy).
The pad see ew was extremely bland, and the curry duck was extremely spicy. A must skip.
Food was delicious the service is ok the waithelp could smile it goes a long way
Good food, quick if your in a hurry.

Tomyum soup, the best so far that I had
This location is the sister restaurant to the one in Kihei. The food at this location is good but not like its sister restaurant in Kihei.

Excellent service and excellent food...!!! I would recommend Thailand Cuisine to anyone visiting Maui....
Food is very good but services is bad
This is a cute little restaurant that we found while walking around Maui Mall looking for inspiration. My boyfriend wanted to just eat at Subway so he went to get his sandwich and I went for some Thai to-go. I wasn't feeling super hungry but knew I'd want some nice Thai leftovers so I ordered the Spring Rolls and the Pad Thai noodles. They were soooo good and fresh tasting I was in heaven! I thought the Spring Rolls would be deep fried like I'm used to but they were actually just wrapped in rice paper that was thin and soft. It really makes the Spring Rolls less heavy and more flavorful when you dip it in the peanut sauce.
The food was decent, but we did have a cockroach run across our table. Didn't particular care for the uninvited dinner guest.
My family and I eat here at minimum once a month and we love the food, its great, get there early for dinner there could be a wait, but the service is quick, the food comes out quick and its awesome. Recommend the Evil Prince entree!
It was good restaurant. Green curry was spicy and taste good though it was without rice.
My mom is from Thailand 🇹🇭 so I know good Thaifood!! This is the place...
Not the worst thai we've had, but the worst made in a restaurant. No restroom, overpriced, rice not included, and creepy dolls outside.
Too many good eats in maui to waste the money here.
One of my favorite places in maui!! And its close by my job. Pad thai chicken is my favorite dish.
A very cozy little venue, with good service and of choices on the menu. The food is good, although it hasn't been my hands down favorite Thai restaurant.
Coconut Soup is sooooo good
Chicken Panang curry was awesome. Fast friendly service too!
I eat there with my family at least once a month. Always great food and fast, friendly service. Cool ambiance as well!
Its ok but there are better Thai places (see Saengs in wailuku or even Tiki Tiki down the street).
Ginger mahi is pretty good, Thai eggplant and Evil Prince Kukui is ok.
Honestly I think there's a cultural misunderstanding. They're not rude or snotty. I love their food and the only thing I'd really say that could improve is for them to get a bigger space. Other than that I recommend this restaurant. Also if you go into any restaurant a half an hour before they're closing they'll be irritated. Do you even know how long it takes to clean and everything?! If not don't assume. Another thing is that just bc you're a customer doesn't make you entitled to act like the workers are below you.
Very little chicken and shrimp in our meals, forgot to bring tea and still tried to charge us for it.
Delicious food, reasonable price.
Every time so many families wait.
We ordered from the to go menu and the angel wings on the menu says 3pcs but the cashier said it only comes with 2 and said the menu is old so they won't honor the amount specified on the menu yet they have a bunch of the to go menus out for everyone to order from. False advertising!! The food wasnt up to par with quality and cost.. Its expensive for the quality and quantity of the serving .My boyfriend ordered the beef pad thai, it was so skimpy.. It only had 5pcs of thinly sliced beef and very little carrots and green onions. Not worth the price. It tasted like fast food quality. Service was horible.. The cashier who took our order was not welcoming and did not honor us like paying customers. The owner then brings out the food to us and says "okeeeeey" with a smerk on her face.. I said thank you and she walks off. I wasted my money on crappy food and bad service.. I will never go to this restaurant ever again.. I prefer Thai Spice in Paia.. Great service with amazing Thai food..
Kihei one is great! Maui Mall location: Snotty woman who acts in charge, was basically rude when we entered a half hour before their serving time closed for lunch. They, as posted, should be happy to take an order and serve for an additional half hour, but, also, seemed to be in a hurry for us to leave, after the food was served. As locals, we tried another time, around 1pm, a half hour earlier, with the same attitude. Won't go back. Food was ok, but the uncomfortable feeling was predominant. Never rush your diners 🌴
tthe room is small
Ottima cucina Thai. Servizio gentile ed ospitale, prezzo buono.Lo consiglio
Another favorite of mine...very nice wait staff. The food is good Thai cuisine, standard dishes and very tasty. Good place to eat.
Located reasonably close to the Kahului airport, this authentic Thai restaurant proffers: satisfactory food, fast service, and low prices.
We eat here often. Love the food and service. Best tasting Thai on the island.
Clearly too many holidaymakers mean that they don't care if the food served is not as expected or advertised and they are in too much of a hurry to close the kitchen at lunch time to worry how you would like your food served. Do they care? No! If they knew the kitchen was closing they should not have sat us down. Save your money and eat elsewhere. This made me think of a new phrase 'missable Maui'. Just a dreadful experience. Oh by the way, when paying by credit card they prefer the tip in cash.
Always delicious and the service to fast and friendly. This place is a winner.
Always good food and service. Delicious flavors and good portions. Great Thai food!!
Supposedly the award winning Thailand restaurant in Maui come short of appeasing this little critic review. Matsamen beef curry tasted water down and the beef was too chewy. Surprisingly the vegetarian mixed dish came tasty. From receiving an awarding winning review you would expect more, but it felt flat of expectations. Perhaps I ordered the wrong dishes, but I felt I tasted better in New York. Beside this review, I do recommend this is you're looking for something quick and inexpensive.
I had the matsaman curry and it was great. Don't let the Maui Mall location fool you. They have great food.
