Thai street food fun and vibes
I visited SingSing last Saturday night without high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious—the school fish was perfectly crispy and easily the best dish of the night. I also really enjoyed the pork neck; it was so juicy and flavorful. The ambiance was fun, and the service was great. Plus, they’re BYOB now, which is a nice bonus!
I had the Chicken Cilantro Salad, Pork Skewers, and the chili soft shell crab. It was all delicious.
To top it all off we got to try the Moo Deng Praline and Ice Cream.
I was glad I found this spot in China town. We will definitely be coming back again before I head back home.
We are thai and this is really good thai food. They make a lot of creative and local dishes not normally found at other thai restaurants. First time we have had dessert curry puffs and they were great. Everyone was so nice and this is a great addition to the chinatown community. Prices are really great for the quality of the dishes, portions, and service. We will definitely be back for more!
We have been missing Opal Thai, and have been excited to visit SingSing since it’s opened!
Everything was amazing, especially all the sauces! We got the issan beef tongue, koa kling pork, crispy pork belly, and tom yum fried rice, and we can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!!
Good atmosphere, extremely helpful staff, mindfulness when refilling the cup consistently without needing to ask. The food is very fresh and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend going. A lot of positivity and good communication!
A Stylish but Subtle Taste of Thailand in Chinatown
Nestled in the heart of Honolulu’s Chinatown, SingSing is a new addition to the neighborhood’s dining scene, offering a beautifully designed space with an inviting, cozy atmosphere. The moment you step inside, you’re transported—intricate Thai decor, warm lighting, and traditional accents create a setting that feels both authentic and intimate.
The staff, a friendly and attentive Thai team, add to the restaurant’s charm. Service is impeccable—gracious, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. The open kitchen concept is a nice touch, allowing diners to catch glimpses of dishes being carefully plated, adding a bit of theater to the meal.
The menu leans toward a more Western-friendly take on Thai cuisine. While beautifully presented, the flavors play it safe—subtle rather than bold, catering more to delicate palates than those seeking the fiery, complex layers of traditional Thai food. Portions are on the smaller side, making it more of a tasting experience than a hearty feast. That said, bringing your own booze (with no corkage fee) is a definite plus and helps balance out the lighter portions.
SingSing is stylish and promising, if not yet the go-to spot for an all-out Thai flavor explosion. It’s worth another visit, perhaps with the hope that future dishes bring a bit more depth to match the restaurant’s undeniable charm.
This restaurant is so good the food is so yummy I think you will like thai food.
Every dish was incredible. Pork ribs, dumplings, massaman curry, beef satay, roti. Staff was super friendly and were able to squeeze us in on Valentine’s Day. Highly recommend !
Food is chef’s kiss

Had an amazing time at SingSing! The ambiance is just perfect—cozy, stylish, and welcoming. 🌟
The Beef Carpaccio and Papaya Salad? Absolutely top-notch! 🥩🥗 The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and simply delicious.
A special shoutout to the two lovely ladies who served us—they were super kind and took the time to explain each dish, making the experience even better.
And the best part? The prices are great! At $15–$20 per dish, it’s definitely worth every penny.
Can’t wait to come back again! 🙌✨
Took my wife there for her birthday. We had so much fun. Great food. Everything was perfect. Staff are unbelievably nice and accommodating. Cool atmosophere. Good pricing! We'll be back.
Super Tasty Thai Food!!!!!!
I loved it! The food was so good, especially the papaya salad. It was full of flavor and The place was nice and chill, and the staff were really friendly. They made me feel welcome and helped me pick some great dishes. I’ll be back for sure!!!
Our new favorite restaurant! Everything was so stellar!
My brother was in town visiting and shares my love of Thai food, so I did my research and felt confident choosing this place (I am always right when it comes to food 😄). My husband, brother, and I went in and we felt welcomed immediately by the gracious and charming Opal, who led us to our table and checked in with us throughout our meal.
We tried two appetizers (highly recommend the tempura mushrooms!) and ordered green curry, seafood curry, and the beef cheek entree with some roti and rice sides. Everything was inventive, interesting, SO flavorful, and perfectly portioned. We finished the evening with some sweet - the moo deng coconut jelly with ice cream and praline and Thai tea custard - excellent!
My brother and husband were so happy and pleased and of course, you fulfilled a 30-week pregnant lady's Thai craving dreams (and her baby's! 😄👶💕) and we can't wait to try so many other items on your delightful menu and be regulars here. 😄
The two lovely female servers were so attentive and wonderful and the space is chic and lively - we will see you soon!
Blessings upon your journey to Japan. ✨️
Wow the food!!
I'm aircrew on layover in HNL and found this amazing restaurant. There's a great vibe to the place.... The open kitchen allows you to hear, see, smell all the yumminess and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I tried the pork ribs (with a knock-out dipping sauce) and a Thai salad. Very fresh and delicious. I've been to Thailand over 30 times for work and this jewel is authentic.
Highly recommend!!
We took the whole family down last weekend and had an amazing collection of food! We love the kalbi fried rice, pork neck, pork belly, and satay! Will definitely be back!
Used to eat at Opal Thai Haleiwa food truck. Didn't get to try Opal Chinatown but was super excited to try Sing Sing and see Opal and Lilo after so many years. Best wishes to them in Thailand, wish we could have said hello and thanks for all the amazing meals we shared as our boys and Lilo ran around the lot around the truck.
Tonight's dinner was wonderful, Beef Cheek Panang, Nissan Chicken, Beef and Chicken Satays, Pork Neck, Thai Tea Caramel and Stuffed Pineapple. Each was wonderfully flavored, expertly displayed and delicious!
Highly recommend a visit!
Absolutely amazing experience at SingSing Thai Street Food in Downtown Honolulu! The food was incredibly delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. The service was top-notch! friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for fantastic Thai cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere!
This hidden gem is the ultimate Thai street food experience on the island! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant decor with Thai textiles and neon signs transports you right to the streets of Bangkok. The menu is a delightful journey through authentic Thai cuisine that goes way beyond typical restaurant offerings. This restaurant is hitting it out of the park!
The wing bean salad brought me back to my life in Thailand, and each dish was a flavor explosion. The chef’s attention to detail and commitment to authentic street food is remarkable. This restaurant isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. A fantastic addition to Honolulu’s dining scene that I’ll definitely be returning to again and again!
the Ahi betel leaf is an absolute flavor bomb that demands your attention. This dish is a sensory explosion, where the delicate herbaceous notes of the betel leaf perfectly complement the expertly marinated poke. It’s quite simply the must-order dish on their entire menu - a culinary experience that will transport your taste buds directly to the vibrant streets of Thailand…. The wing bean salad is a dish. I can’t go a day without you really can’t go wrong with anything you order. I keep coming back to the fried mushrooms and the green curry.
Listen up, food lovers - YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GO TO THIS PLACE! 🔥 But also… maybe don’t? Because I want to keep this little slice of Thai street food heaven ALL TO MYSELF. 😂 I’m totally cool with everyone knowing about this incredible spot, just as long as they magically save me a table EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I want to waltz in and have my Ahi betel leaf and wing bean salad waiting, no questions asked.
Pro tip: Tell everyone about this place, but like, not TOO many people. I’m counting on you to spread the word juuuust enough to keep the owner thriving, but not so much that I can’t get a seat. Deal?
Seriously though, this place is a game-changer. Come hungry, come curious, but maybe call ahead.
Discovered a gem on Smith Street Road! This lively spot serves up Thai street food Izakaya-style—perfect for sampling multiple dishes. Plates are small, priced $16-22, and full of flavor. Standouts? The school fish, pork ribs, and beef carpaccio. Save room for the Moodeng dessert—it’s a must-try! Fun vibe, great food—visit before it gets too popular!
It's like bringing Thailand into this restaurant. With a variety of dishes, if you want to experience authentic Thai street food without traveling to Thailand, step into this place, and you'll fall in love with Thai cuisine more than ever before.
Fantastic new Thai spot opened Dec 2024 with a creative menu serving uncommon Thai dishes expertly crafted. Definitely try the smoked salmon salad, beef dumplings, turmeric squid, and I heard the next table over raving about the beef cheek penang. Will be back!
Such a fun and authentic take on Thai street food. Spice and flavors were spot on! We ate everything without even thinking of pictures! Staff and owner were so friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be back! BYOB as well. Add this to your Chinatown food list!
Oh the food is so good. A new take on Thai food. We ordered the (sorry I don’t have the proper names):
-koa pork wraps (sooo tasty with wonderful spices)
-buttery eggplant (10/10 would do again)
-crispy potatoes (oh damn, please order this)
-prawns satay (the spicy sauce + prawns = happiness)
-soft shell crab (a must with that sauce and some rice)
I will be taking friends here because the food is great, husband and wife combo + staff are super friendly, and it is just a happy place to eat at.
Delicious and modern thai food with a slight twist. Everything was wonderful, but the green papaya salad and ahi betel wraps stood out the most. This restaurant offers a wider range of thai food options than your standard thai place. Highly recommend trying this place out.
It's authentic Thai cuisine. Special place especially in Hawaii.
We stumbled across SingSing and couldn’t have been happier with our good fortune! We tried several dishes and all were super fresh and perfectly balanced. This is the way Thai food is meant to be enjoyed and enjoy it we did. Can’t wait to go back and try more things!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
Tom yum fried rice is the must, yummy pork ribs I can go back there again and again for that.
Service was nice and friendly they explained menus to us.
We will be back soon for sure!
