Welcome to Sabb Thai, a gem nestled in the heart of Honolulu, HI, where the essence of Thai cuisine is brought to life with a masterful touch. Renowned for its exquisite FRIED RICE, WOK STIR FRY, and aromatic CURRY dishes, Sabb Thai transports your senses to the streets of Thailand with every bite. Our carefully crafted menu is a celebration of traditional flavors meticulously blended with a modern flair, delivering an unforgettable culinary journey.
*Update: it seems like this place is going a bit downhill because last night I ordered pineapple fried rice. First let me say, using canned pineapple in Hawaii is diabolical. And where were the red bell peppers as described on the menu?? Also, the four slivers of carrot is crazy cheap. this was the most basic fried rice I've ever had and not in a good way.
I have eaten here several times both dine in and carry out. It really is a hit or miss -sometimes the food is great and then other times it can be too salty or the rice too sticky or the Pad Thai noodles are clumped together as if they're overcooked. But when they get it right, it is delicious.
The food at Sabb Thai is very good. The prices are on par for the quality and portion size. Got to talk story with the owner. Very pleasant and friendly.
The location is becoming more typical of many Honolulu locations with lots of rubbish and homeless around. Unfortunately the curb appeal turned me off for several years as I walked by this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and homey the inside of the restaurant is.
I had the no meat spicy eggplant and green curry. Recommended and I look forward to returning.
Delicious food at reasonable prices. Very friendly and attentive staff. Tons of filtered ice water too- they never let our glasses get past half empty.
The restaurant was clean, but it’s in a slightly dicey part of town so walking there was interesting. Definitely worth a stop for an awesome lunch. The drunken noodles, pineapple chicken, and lemongrass sausages were so good.
I had an amazing lunch today. I was craving Tom Yum, so I walked down to the place I see every day I’m driving home from work. I was not disappointed. The ladies there were so nice, and the food is so delicious. I had Tom Yum, Nam Tok, and an order of some of the most crispy Spring Rolls I have had in a while. Some ladies there were eating a delicious looking Lao Papaya salad that I can’t wait to come back to try and want to try the sausage as well. Can’t wait to become a regular!!!!
This cute corner-style restaurant charms with its inviting ambiance and attentive service. The staff makes you feel welcome and well-cared-for, adding to the cozy, enjoyable vibe. While the menu holds promise, I found the chicken curry a bit underwhelming for my taste due to the mixture of light and dark meat. The flavor was amazing, but I didn't enjoy the meat. For those who enjoy the contrast, it may offer a pleasant complexity, but if you prefer large chunks of white meat, it might not quite hit the mark. Nonetheless, the experience is worth a try for the overall vibe and great service!
Don’t waist your time. Probably the worst Thai food I have ever had. We ordered our order ahead of time and they didn’t see our order come in. The food was dry. We won’t be back EVER!
Nam kau
Food was extremely delicious, staff was very friendly.
Too spicy.
Love this place! Food is always consistent and service is fast and friendly! We love the garlic stir fry and curry! 10/10

Excellent food - drunken noodles were on point and spicy had some nice heat. Service is friendly. Not an elegant restaurant but cozy and quick service.
Really good Thai boat noodle soup, beef was really tender with delicious fat! Service was awesome, ice water was always full, made us feel like we were at home.
Everything was amazing.
Food, hospitality everything was good!!! Amazing! We ordered thi curry, fried chicken, drunken noodle, kalbi plate, summer roll and mango sticky rice. Chicken and kalbi's quality are wonderful! And curry is also super good! Highly recommended!!
Everything about this place was excellent. Having lived in Thailand, I've been on the hunt for great Thai food for years, and haven't found one this good. The food was exceptional as was the service. Just in town for a few days but I'll be stopping here again.
I love the worst food we’ve ever eaten. Really bad
Fast, friendly service. Delicious drunken noodles.

The food was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was great. We ate in. It is a very small restaurant. Don't let the small space fool you.

curry was fine but the pad thai was SO salty it was inedible
The best curry, drunken noodles, and calamari
My favorite Thai restaurant. The best lemon beef salad ever! All her curries are delish yellow is my go to. If you love Tom Yum this is your spot. If you haven't tried Sabb Thai food you are definitely missing out on the best Thai/Lao food in Honolulu.
Definitely top tastiest Thai food restaurants I’ve ever had!! Every dish we had was overwhelmingly delicious. The orders came out very fast and tasted fresh. Portions were generous. I don’t think I’ll eat Thai food anywhere else.
Excellent food 👍
Good Thai food.
Best Thai food on the Island. Lao and Thai food...😍
Papaya salad of is delicious!
It's one of the best tasting thai/lao foods in Hawaii! The laab was very good, and the sausage was hands down one of the best I had. The owner is very nice and accommodating. She gave me some samples to try, and it was delicious. The place is true authentic Thai and lao food!
Delicious Thai iced tea and coffee. Summer rolls are big! Peanut sauce was outstanding. Severe diarrhea. Would come back.
I went here tonight and ordered my normal Thai meal and asked the guy taking my order to give me one of his favorite dish. The dish he gave me was absolutely mesmerizing!!! I didn't even bother eating my go to Thai meal (panang curry) and just ate the amazing dish he got me.
Tasty food, awesome people, what else could I ask for? Highly recommended!
From the second you step foot in the restaurant, you'll be greeted with warm hospitality and amazing service. The flavors and freshness of their Thai cuisine are simply outstanding. I'll be back again....and again!
Best thai food I had in a while!
Awesome food!
Sabb Thai is a must-visit restaurant, where the food is a delightful combination of fresh flavors and the service is truly exceptional. 10 stars+
I recently dined at Sabb Thai and I was blown away by the amazing food and top-notch service. The dishes were fresh and bursting with delicious flavors, while the staff was friendly and provided high-quality service. I highly recommend Sabb Thai for an outstanding dining experience.
Good people, good vibes, definitely will be back for sure!
Had a great time today, I can highly recommend them!
I eat here on a daily basis and I can assure you that the service & food quality you'll get here is by far the best in town. A++
If I could give 10 stars I would definitely do it. AMAZING experience!
Great place to go for Thai and Lau food. You can order from Bobby's bar next door and they will bring your order to you.
Criminally underrated. The flavors are fresh and balanced with a heavy portion of vegetables (exactly what we all need). The pad sew ew blew my mind, so delicious I couldnt get it into my mouth fast enough. The fried chicken was crispy and moist and cooked perfectly. Go here, it’s authentic and delicious and you will not be disappointed. Bonus - bring over some soju from the market across the street 😉
The fact that this restaurant has anything less than a 5 is shocking to me. It’s some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The pad see iew noodles were huge, delicious and also packed with delicious vegetables and shrimp. The flavor of the garlic shrimp was incredible!! The service was so friendly and quick too. I will be going back and if you don’t go you are missing out!
This review is long overdue. This place is great. The food is amazing and the owner is so nice, she provides that homey feeling. Both me and my husband loved it here.
Great hidden gem of a restaurant. Go there for the taste and not the ambience. Their Tom Yum soup is great and the fried rice is awesome! Every dish we ordered was worth it. To top it all, it’s reasonably priced! Had we discovered it earlier, we would have eaten here more often on our vacation.
This restaurant is INCREDIBLE! The food is wonderful and the staff is truly the best of the best!
Best Thai food we had on the island during our honeymoon! The owners are fantastic and incredibly generous. I would 10/10 recommend for anybody, especially folks staying in Ala Moana/Waikiki area. Super easy walk and an awesome vibe inside the restaurant!
Hot damn! I stumbled in here from the heat looking for something that would set my mouth on fire and boy did they deliver. The basil chicken had me crying like a baby in therapy with enough basil and flavor to keep me coming back for more. Thanks for the great quick lunch for a guy on the go!
Amazing food..the best Sausage I've ever had was this Laos sausage..we will definitely order here again
Good food Lao sausage very good
Service was very friendly, prices reasonable, food had some authentic qualities about it, overall pretty good
The food was atrocious. We ordered a curry and a Tom kha. Both were incredibly salty, almost like they cooked with sea water. The curry was drowned by saltiness, and lacked sweetness and herbal notes. The Tom kha was not only salty, but completely ruined by the overuse of coconut milk. Its texture felt like clam chowder with how thick it was. Couldn't finish either dish cause they burned my throat with the salt. This is hands down the worst Thai restaurant I have had.
Good food tasty fast good portion kinda expensive
Best Thai in town.
Best food ever. The green curry was wonderful.
Ordered larb. Traditional dish. Bland. No chilis, only about 9 bites of pork. Pretty upset.
It's alright the steak plate always tastes different each time I order it but it's still good I'm guessing different chefs come in at different times and they cook it a bit differently than the other. I love the ice coffee it really hits the spot I wish I could order that everyday 😍 ! Hard to find parking though
This is my favorite place to get thai! The food isn't presumptuous or fancy but it is very good and reasonably priced. Portion size is excellent and flavor is second to none. If you like spicy food, and order "spicy", no punches are pulled. Also, if you are looking for a fun, authentic, thai atmosphere check out Bobby's Bar which is next door. They share the kitchen and menu. The staff is warm and inviting.
Heavily using with my colleagues and family. Good genuine Thai foods with reasonable price.
Pad-ped is my favorite.
ハワイにしては安くて、おいしいタイ料理屋さん。同僚や家族とよく食べに行きます。
(日本人なら辛さはNot spicyにしておくのがおすすめ。Spicyにすると本当に辛いです)
Hole in the wall. Good food. No ambience.
Delicious food, wonderful low-key atmosphere.
Delicious! My friend who just visited Thailand says it's definitely authentic! The family who works there are friendly and great cooks. We are becoming there weekly customers. The pad thai, green curry and yellow curry is very flavorable. I like the Jazmin rice with my curry. Thai ice tea is so good to. Can't wait to try more!
Good shrimp pad thai, friendly service, casual laid back atmosphere, interesting corner space.
맛이 일정치 않은 곳.
Small little spot, but some of the best green curry under $15 I've found on Oahu.
Friendly staff, the food is fantastic. We love eating at this restaurant and highly recommend it.
Super good curry. I marked it on my map for future
Great little place that has really good and fresh food
Not at all what we expected after good recommendations. Food good but not a restaurant.
Before food it good and not expensive! But now to experience , food taste bad never come back again
Not authentic by any means. I ordered Panang.. and they brought me a hot steamy bowl of spiced coconut milk loaded with MSG. I instantly got a headache, felt very lethargic and bloated. Not at all what I expected. I ended up at home over the toilet with my finger down my throat. The End.
Fast food Thai.
Well hello, decent Thai food near Don Quijote. This cute little Thai restaurant is cheap, A-Okay, and probably not named after the car company (may Saab Rest In Peace).
The shrimp in my shrimp curry was frozen, but, for $10/plate, that is acceptable. Few restaurants could pull off fresh shrimp at that price. The food was authentic and, unlike many establishments, very nice and spicy when you ask for it.
The austerity of this restaurant is complemented by its authenticity, I can't help but give them a good rating. Try it for yourself!
Another secret little local spot that is out of the way and has great authentic thai food. Pretty much as good as Thailand without going there. Food has not been westernized to meet the dull boring farang palette. Always awesome.
Fabulous food
The tables and chairs aren't comfortable. Otherwise good.
A very pleasant experience.. the food is great... Delicious.
Awesome Service. FOOD is worth Price, Amazing variety. Employees Very Beautiful and Attractive. NO Tax
Great food and great service in a comfortable setting. If you like good Thai food, this is the place to go.
This is a simple walk up counter order plate lunch kind of set up. All food is in big color photos on wall and u can order to take out or est in tue small room 4 tables snd a counter. Its bery good thai food. Very spicy very very spicy.
