This unassuming, casual storefront specializes in traditional curry, noodle & soup dishes.
We were enroute to volcano national park and wanted to eat Thai and found this place on the maps. Very small restaurant that seats 6 people so unsure how i saw a big restaurant pictures! Anyways the service was prompt and food delicious. We were so glad we stopped. We tried the cucumber salad, the mixed vegetable curry and eggplant stir fry with tofu. The food was so fresh and on point. If we were living in the area, I would have been a regular.
Nice friendly service. Clean restaurant convenient to Downtown Hilo. Had the Coconut Chicken soup and the Pad Thai chicken noodles. Both were good. Also had the Thai ice tea and was good. I would recommend 👌 this restaurant for good Thai food. Close to the Hilo open product market so you could take care of your produce shopping while having lunch. This restaurant is not very crowded as we were the only customers at 11 am Monday.
We were near Hilo in the afternoon and were interested in eating Thai for lunch as we ran of options. Hilo Siam was a nearby and highly rated restaurant which we found on Google and so we went there for lunch along with my family. We ordered Tofu basil fried rice, Chicken Basil fried rice and Chicken Pad Thai and the level of spice was hot which was way more than hot we find in other Thai food places but the food was yummy, portion size was good enough.
This place is amazing! Every dish was so good! I’ve never been to a place that each dish was flavored so well! The service was great- so friendly and fast! And the whole place is so clean. The Buddha Rama Chicken was my favorite! This will definitely be my first stop next time I’m in Hilo.
Each dish is made fresh to order and looks great, I saw every plate come out of the kitchen and wanted to try each one. I had mild garlic chicken and mild basil pork, both were tasty with just the right amount of heat. Dishes are affordable. The menu is huge and they even have specials under $12. The dining area is fairly spacious, booths on the edges with a few movable tables in the center, able to accommodate small groups. There was one man running the front. He is sufficient but not very pleasant. Overall this place is a good spot for Thai food.
My first food in Hawai’i and I couldn’t wish for more! I am in self-quarantine and ordered with Door Dash, the order was at my door in about 20 minutes. I made last changes in my order through Door Dash delivery and it wasn’t a problem. Food was good all around, shrimp in “chefs special” was amazing (especially for a traveler that used to cooked frozen shrimp)! Everything was exceptional including the delivery. Thank you and aloha!
My family ate here while vacationing in Hilo and it was amazing! Some of the best Thai food I've ever had! My younger brothers said it was the highlight of the trip--it even beat the sunset on Mauna Kea and a volcano eruption.
In the words of my brother, "With every bite, it gets higher on my list of favorite restraunts!! It's my favorite in the whole world!!"
During a very busy Tuesday afternoon they were able to seat us (group of 15) without a wait. Generally that is a bad sign but since the reviews were good we decided to sit and eat. It helped to have a clean bathroom we could use as we are traveling with kids. Food here was very tasty. Thom Yum soup was delicious but had too much vegetables (mainly cabbage) in it. Broth was on point. Green curry with chicken was cooked to perfection and the fried rice was a good portion to share. Try the Thai iced tea if you like sweet drinks. Service her is very casual. No formalities or hostesses at the entrance. You walk in, waiter greets you and tells you to pick any empty seat. Avoid the booth cushion seating as it's not comfortable. It has no proper back support and I left with a back ache after sitting there for 40 minutes. Also be ready to spend some time looking for parking. Due to the farmers market the place is packed. Overall good restaurant that is reasonably priced.
Great price, delicious food. Deserves a higher rating

Great food! Authentic!!!
Hidden gem. A small 6-person dining area, a busy kitchen, and some of the best Thai food in Hilo.
Best Thai food I’ve had on island🔥
My favorite is
Special 1. Chef Suwan's Favorite
Shrimp and crab meat simmered with fresh vegetables in a yellow curry paste and coconut.

Best Thai food in Hilo and Hawaii.
Tried five different items on the menu. Every single one better than the last.
Essen schmeckt wirklich megaaaa gut . Egal ob Nudeln ,Hähnchenfleisch, Suppe oder Frühlingsrollen. Es hat meinem Mann und mir super geschmeckt. Waren jetzt schon 2 mal innerhalb unseres Urlaubs hier 🤿
The Pad Thai was some of the best I e ever had. The seafood curry was also good.
Great! Fresh food. Just had lunch there and the Chicken Panang was fantastic. Just across the street from the farmers market.
Was quite simple and food was prepared when ordered. I like that. Was reasonable priced also.
We came to Hilo on vacation and stumbled upon this place the first night. We loved it so much, after eating all over town the whole week we came here for our last supper before departing. Excellent seafood curry, spring rolls, cucumber salad is the bomb, and my family members that have never tried Thai food were converted to being tai food believers. Very friendly owner, they do a lot of door dash and you can tell the locals know where to order. Our family highly recommends this joint!
Absolutely one of the best Thai place I have been to as a Californian. They have great vegetarian options. We ordered pad Thai, red curry, and crispy spring rolls.
We place at least four to six DoorDash orders from this location each month. We ALWAYS order the same dishes. We ordered takeout for dinner because they had recently reopened after being closed for over a month and a half. When ordering over the phone, I was very particular on the quantity of the items and extremely thorough about what it was we were getting (our usuals).
Upon picking up our takeout, I was surprised when I saw that the total was about $80 dollars. I was accused by the man who was working of placing four orders of Cashew Chicken. I informed him that over the phone, I had expressly requested two orders of that. He refuted it, claiming that I ordered four orders of the Cashew Chicken but I KNOW FOR A FACT I only ordered two because why the hell would I order four (for only two people?). I just apologized because I wasn’t about to go back and forth with this man. He went on to tell me that I was wrong and that I should have asked for two. As previously mentioned, I frequently place orders from this restaurant , so I know how to order and we consistently place the same order, always.
The man working was very rude to me. In front of a couple dining there, he added, "Next time, say two, not four," and the man laughed at me. I was really ashamed. I'm positive I said two, not four. I had a really bad experience with the service. Unfortunately, even though I love their food, I almost never want to place another order from them. And I still tipped the man even though he was extremely rude to me.
Closed for vacation. May 14 to June 26 2024
Great delicious authentic food, at decent prices. Nice service.
Best priced best food in Hilo. The spring rolls are insanely good.
The basil scallops were inedible; they charged extra for the rice that would have been served with the dish at any other restaurant - and the rice was soggy. My companion's pad Thai with tofu had no tofu.
The waiter never checked back after the food was delivered, never asked us how the meal was or if we needed anything. When I indicated that my food was inedible, he just shrugged and dropped the check on the table.
Save your time, money, and tastebuds. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.
This place is amazing! Every dish was so good! I’ve never been to a place that each dish was flavored so well! The service was great- so friendly and fast! And the whole place is so clean. The Buddha Rama Chicken was my favorite! This will definitely be my first stop next time I’m in Hilo.
First time having Thai food. The server was great in explaining things. Got a #56 pork mild. Great flavor, serving size and wasn't very spicy. He gave me a small sample of the spicy and it is hot.
Extremely greasy food..each item was soaked in oil..none of the items were good
This is a mom and pop shop hole in the wall, and you may need to wait a little for your food because of it. But WOW, you will be blown away. Fantastic overall!
We were near Hilo in the afternoon and were interested in eating Thai for lunch as we ran of options. Cockroach ran across the floor, rice bags sitting on the floor
It wasn't the worst ever, however, curry was ridiculously sweet. Thai food is often excessively sweet, but this was beyond. I'm guessing it's because excessive sugar seems to be a running theme here. Glass noodle salad had the most bizarre dressing but was otherwise fine. No fish sauce. I asked for mild, light spice as my mouth doesn't agree with my stomach on that anymore so I have to go easy. I got zero spice. I will just specify in chilies from now on. Unfortunately the dressing is kind of integral to the dish so...dud. Beef salad was westernized with lettuce. So many Thai restaurants in Hilo. Still looking for one with proper Thai food. Twice bitten, really shy now. I don't get where all these great reviews for all of them are coming from. I lived in Thailand for 3 years. I do know the food.
One of the best Thai restaurant in Hilo. Excellent food, service and quiet atmosphere. The green papaya and house special red curry were delicious. Price is very decent with a great dine-in experience l.
I love this place and they have the best food
Food was delicious and tasty and best of all, the most affordable place on the big island my group ate at. So many good choices and a place I would definitely go back to.
Tried this place while visiting Hilo and it’s fantastic! Small but fantastic food. We had the mixed seafood Tom yum dry, the Thai garlic shrimp, panang curry, shrimp fried rice, and pad Thai. Everything was amazing, and oh my god the prices were so affordable. The only downside is the shop does have a bit of a smell to it, which some might have a hard time with before the food comes in. But otherwise, 10/10 rating experience.
Absolutely delicious Thai food! Had several dishes, including yellow curry, panang, basil chicken. We liked it so much, we had it twice during our stay!!
Every dish was delicious. Quick friendly service. Very reasonable prices for tasty food and good portions. Ambience is more historic Hilo vibe than date night. Would come here again. About 1 block from
Hilo Farmer’s Market.
Stopped here randomly with 3 friends and its a very local simple establishment with spectacular food. Very reasonably priced. Some of the best thai food I've ever had. You can't go wrong here.
Delicious!!! We got the vegetarian Tom yum soup, crispy noodle appetizer, and chicken pad Thai. All amazing.
Each dish is made fresh to order and looks great, I saw every plate come out of the kitchen and wanted to try each one. I had mild garlic chicken and mild basil pork, both were tasty with just the right amount of heat. Dishes are affordable. The menu is huge and they even have specials under $12. Very authentic and good thai food if you mind mind the ambience.
Solid Thai food joint. Prices are on point for the delicious food.
Seafood curry was so good!!! Thai tea was delicious!
NEW REVIEW (2023) Not good, too many bugs. It has really gone downhill over the past couple of years. I recommend the other Hilo Thai place.
OLD REVIEW (2019) Fantastic local Thai - a favorite every time we are in Hilo.
While it could use a little bit of paint on the walls, the food is worth it! Our family has several favorite dishes, and it's always fresh and delicious. Some love seafood. I love the chicken curry - and the pumpkin curry is a great change.
Only drawback is rice isn't included, but the jasmine and sticky rices are always tasty, something we always add to our meals.
But dont be late - they close at eight!
The food was authentic and unique. We enjoyed the Tom Kha soup with its really flavorful coconut broth. Plenty of vegetarian options too!
This is the best Thai food so far. Has a lot of variety when compared to what we eat on the mainland. Tastes so much better with the flavor. The owner is very hospitable too. Took special interest to explain about the food.
We tried eggplant chicken , basil chicken and pad thai.
Omg worst service everrrr, the guy rushed me to order and snatched the menu. My coconut milk soup had so much slimmy goo inside and the waiter didn't EVEN know what it was, extremely disgusting. I didn't eat it and he didn't have the decency to remove it from my bill. NEVER RETURNING I RATHER PAY MORE AND GO AROUND THE CORNER TO THE BETTER THAI RESTAURANTS. Ragdy Establishment
Buddha rama is my favorite. Gotta have the sticky rice with it, and either Thai iced tea or coffee. Service was a little slow during dinner (there were 3 other parties at the time with only the owner serving. Don't let that stop you though. Food is well worth the wait. Or you can always call ahead for take out.
Takes no pride in food. Even the white rice was bad.
I crave their panang chicken curry at least once a week. So good.
The tapioca pudding is fantastic!
One of the best curries I have ever tried! Honestly this restaurant is delicious, and I am quite fussy when it comes to food. The best Beef curry ever. We'll repeat for sure!
Don’t judge a book by its cover is definitely fitting for this quaint little restaurant. It may not look like much but its definitely worth a stop! The food was delicious and the owner was attentive.
We were a party of 4 wishing to try some delicious catch of the day. The green curry with fish satisfied our palates, as well as the red curry with sea food which made us dream of Thailand. Recommend visiting this restaurant, staff is really kind and welcoming, orders were taken rather quickly and food was prepared paying attention to the allergy requirements we had.
Excellent food, great prices, friendly service. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Hilo!
I wouldn’t say I like Thai food, but I found this restaurant very good. I got the green curry with rice 🍚 that was awesome!
Panang beef was very good but that's it. Tom Ka Ga was watered down, the same as the Papaya Salad. The Rice Noodle dishes need work. The restaurant ambiance need make over. Friendly service. Easy parking. Price is fair for the portion.
Amazing food
This is possibly the best Thai food that I have ever had. I live in Las Vegas; we have loads of Thai eateries. This one was such a pleasant surprise. On a whim, we drove to Hilo from Kailua-Kona, stopped at Rainbow Falls, and moved on to the Hilo Farmer's Market. We were getting hungry and decided to see what was nearby. My husband spotted this small eatery and with the menu posted outside, we knew there was something that each of us would like. He had Chicken Pad Thai, which is his usual order, and I had the Red Curry Mahi Mahi. We also had the pudding at the end. Everything was absolutely delicious. I cannot fully articulate how much I enjoyed this meal. Do yourself a favor and add this to your "must do" list in Hilo!
Great Royal Siam fried chicken and Tom yum vegetable soup. Right next to Hilo farmers market
If you imagined great Thai food, than kick it up a notch. More complex flavors and textures. Nice clean restroom and helpful owner makes this a downtown Hilo go to after walking the Farmers Market.
Amazing food! Had the red curry and Pad Thai and it was so good!
Extremely mediocre food. Staff also not friendly. Spend your $$ somewhere else. No idea how they got 4 stars.
Everything is made to order, so when I requested no sugar, he was happy to modify. He joked that it wouldn’t be as good, but it was still amazing. I love Thai food but rarely find anything without sugar. This was such a treat that we came back a second time. Enjoy this gem!
Terriblefood
Really good food. Great service. Take out was a great option.
Food was delicious. Portion sizes were also big. Reasonably priced. Casual dine out with amazing Thai food
Actually legit Thai spot. The kind you can get in somewhere in Bangkok itself, flavour, spice levels and freshness wise. The owner is great too.
Absolutely the worst Thai food I ever had. After seeing the gigantic cockroaches in the restroom, and a bug in my coconut water, that was it for me.
My dude took time out of his busy evening and talked us through Thai cuisine. We asked for spicy and got spicy! Turns out the unique recipes for each restaurant are indicative of quality and individuality. Great experience, recommend asking for the whole fried fish. Excellent restaurant!
Not normally a fan of Thai cuisine, but this place changed my mind. Authentic, fresh, and hot, what a find on Hilo. This restaurant is not going to win any awards on ambiance or decor, but lets me serious that's not what we are here for.Try the curry's..amazing
Good food but the server didn't wear a mask the entire time.
Best chicken satay and Panang curry..
Authentic Thai spicy. Very good food! 云南人辣哭了,不过挺好吃的。
This restaurant is a hidden gem. While many restaurants have closed or limited hours during the pandemic, Hilo Siam Thai always seems to be open and has great Thai food.
Had a terrible experience at this restaurant. When we called to ask where we should park, the person who answered the phone was very rude right off the bat, saying "I have no idea, go find it yourself" instead of just politely saying only street parking was available.
Once we got in, it took 15 minutes for a waiter to even bring us water and take our order. At this time, we could look around and see that out of the 10 seated groups, only 2 had already received their orders. Of the items we ordered, after 30 minutes, about half of them finally came. Not the appetizers, which you'd think would come sooner. After we finished these dishes, it seemed like the waiter had forgotten that we had ordered other plates as well because he said he would let the kitchen know that we were adding things. We had to remind them of the rest of our order 2 times over the next 45 minutes as they brought out our last entrees and then at the very end, our appetizers, both of which they had clearly forgotten despite the reminders.
The food was mostly great but the portions were very small given the price. None of the entrees came with rice, which is different than any other Thai restaurant I've been to. In addition, their fried rice was very, very bland. It seemed to be rice cooked with some egg and a few pieces of chicken, with absolutely no seasoning and only carrots as a veggie.
I would definitely avoid this place in the future.
Our food came 20 min apart from each and the first disch arrived after 40 min. It also took them 30 min to come back and tell us that they were out of chicken satey. Other than that the food was OK at best
We had the chef’s seafood yellow curry dish and it was delicious I know we had to wait a little but it was worth it they were upfront about the wait letting everyone know before you ordered
If you are looking for fancy dining then this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for authentic, flavorful Thai food with the freshest ingredients, then don’t miss this place. We were originally planning to dine at the nearby restaurant just across the street. But the wait was too long, so we decided to give this Thai restaurant a try. And we did not regret!!
Everything were reasonably priced. The curry was probably 11.95 and the fresh catch of the day was 14.95.
We ordered the fried tofu, seafood red curry, fresh catch (fish) of the day and the larb pork. The seafood curry was very flavorful and the taste was very balanced, not too sweet and not too spicy. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. There were big prawns and squid and scallop.
For the fish of the day we can have it made in anyway we want. And the fish was mahi mahi. We asked for the mahi mahi to be cooked with eggplant and sweet basil. Man!! Super fresh and tasty!
The larb pork was a ground pork stir fry with onions, fish sauce, lime and probably lemongrass and fragrant leaves. Honestly I do make them at home but they did it better than me lol. You can also do larb chicken or beef if you don’t like pork. But personally I think pork is the best.
Anyway, I am from California and we have so many Thai restaurants there. But I think Hilo Siam is so far one of the best ones I’ve ever been, partly because of the fresh ingredients that we probably won’t be able to get over there. I also think they prepared it really well.
If I ever return to Big Island I will surely go back again!
All the ingredients were very fresh. The dishes were absolutely delicious. We ordered the mahi mahi and they let us to cook whatever the way we wanted to. Excellent place to have authentic Thai food.
Excellent food, godsend during thanksgiving. The garlic shrimp was apparently insanely good - I tried the gravy it was killer. My red curry was DELICIOUS. Do visit in Hilo
Best Thai restaurant I have tried anywhere in the World. This unassuming family restaurant is as authentic as they come, making up for the lack of pretentious ambiance with an outstanding, truly 5-star food experience.
The food was pretty good, but if you like spicy food, make sure to order it hot, because the medium didn’t have any spicy-ness at all
Best Thai food in Big Island. Try the special #1 or #2
The food and service were fine.
Amazing food, great owners! Farmers market next block is an easy walk.
Good variety of food.
Great place !! I highly recommended it !!
A fantastic dinner tonight at Hilo Siam! The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. If you’re in the mood fir curry, this is the restaurant for you! Thank you for such a nice experience!!!
Food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Amaaaaazing food! We loved this place!
It has no proper back support and I left with a back ache after sitting there for 40 minutes. Also be ready to spend some time looking for parking. Due to the farmers market the place is packed. Overall good restaurant that is reasonably priced.
Green curry the best
I waited 30 minutes for the waiter to tell me they were out of a dish I had ordered. The noodles they did have were bland with frozen vegetables. I had to ask for chili to get some flavor. I do not recommend at all.
This is a little hole in the wall place. Don't be put off by the sparse interior the curries are amazingly delicious and fresh. The catch of the day when I was there was Mahi which was cooked perfectly and the portions were so filling no rice was even needed.
Very nice small restaurant with great Thai food, the Seafood red curry was delicious full to the brim with shrimp squip fresh fish etc and no rice filler unless asked for, the shrimp fried rice had many full shrimp and steamed Mahi was firm not over cooked. Highly recommend!
Food was great! Comfortable environment. Great prices!!
A hidden gem.. very flavourful food. Reasonable cost.
Delicious Thai food with plenty of vegetarian options.
My family loves curries and this was probably the best we have eaten. We ordered yellow and red with various degrees of heat. All four of us thought the food was excellent. Not much in the way of ambiance and could use some cleaning but great food.
The place was excellent. My wife and I are curry fans...this may have been one of the best curries we have ever eaten. The restaurant itself is not very clean, but the service was fast and friendly and the food was awesome.
Came on a pinch on a holiday when most restaurants were closed. Ordered chicken panang and it was decent. Saw other tables ordered some sort of salad thing and it looked pretty good. The service was very quick. If you didn’t want to wait long this is a good choice.
Very affordable and tasty with great specials with fish!
It's a hidden gem among this farmer's market area. The food is really tasty and fresh, we order 3 dishes, and the flavors of those dishes are all very unique, (not like most other restaurants )
And the price is very good, very inexpensive, lunch menu are around $10, the other eating places at this area are all much more expensive. ($15 - 25 per dish) We spend less than $30 before tax and tips.
If you visit Hilo, please go to this place, you will feel happy.
Delicious food. Had the seafood curry and red curry. Amazing.
Good service, good menu at a reasonable price.
always perfect!!
We had never eaten here before because we already had our favorite Thai restaurants in Hilo. However, all of our faves were closed because of Christmas, so this was the only Thai restaurant I found open. Our family loved every single dish that we had ordered--vegetarian pad thai, summer rolls, Buddha Rama tofu, drunken noodles, and crispy noodles. We will definitely be returning. Yum!
Excellent food and service . Best Thai food in Hilo
Awesome fried oysters! Very friendly staff! 9/28/20 we will definitely be back to try the Thai tea and curries!
Exceptional curries!! Absolutely delicious. Wonderful local spot.
Chicken Very soggy, daughter kept running in dining area. Guy constantly watching me while on computer. Foul odor like rotting meat. No come. No eat.
Always excellent food and very nice service.
My first food in Hawai’i and I couldn’t wish for more! I am in self-quarantine and ordered with Door Dash, the order was at my door in about 20 minutes. I made last changes in my order through Door Dash delivery and it wasn’t a problem. We love this place’s basil beef and buddharama curry
Great place for a night on the town dinner. EVERYDAY dining enjoyment..
I love the food there. It is a very unassuming place, but venture in and you will get the best curry dishes, papaya salad and for dessert get the tapioca pudding with blues sweet potatoes.
Food is good. Prices good. Could use better atmosphere and cleaning.
Loved this little restaurant. We just walked in and were seated and served almost immediately. The food was great! Both vegetarian and meat dishes. And the prices were reasonable. Seated next to us was a local couple who have been on-island for 31 years and come here all the time. They love this place.
I was very pleasantly surprised how much I liked this place! Was really authentic and the food was great and really low prices for the area. We loved everything we had, and I want to copy some of their recipes! There isn't much intrigue in terms of the decor, but I don't usually go to restaurants for that anyway. I'll definitely be going here again.
I didn't get a chance to take a picture of our food, but here's my delighted dinner-mate enjoying the place:
Amazing food at great prices count me in!!! Seriously, found this place while taking a walk and the food smelled so good walking by I stopped in and tried the Cashew Chicken. Damn it was good, perfect spice, super tender chicken and a ton of cashews! Way better than New Chiang Mai(which is good but not great) and half the price! Might be my new jam for lunch :)
Went here for thanksgiving dinner 🤣
It was cheap and delicious!
The pad Thai tasted like ketchup was used in the sauce. I had forgotten we'd been here before. The sauce hasn't changed.
Excellent Thai food with great service at a fair price! Don't let the physical condition of the restaurant push you away from this gem of an eatery.
The best Thai in Hilo. The ambiance is lacking, but the food more than makes up for it.
Thai chicken is to kill for. But only chickens
Great food. And they mean Hot when u ask for hot. Lol be prepared cuz it's awesome. Didn't give 5 stars simply due to location and old building. But that's downtown Hilo.
I usually don’t write reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was not a good one! The service was not good, and the food was even worst.
Food is always great! Friendly service and home style cooking!
Restaurant is dirty and the WORST customer service I had ever experienced. I will never come back.
Beat thai food in Hawaii, great owner.
Awesome food for affordable price!
Exellent food, good prices and friendly staff. The yellow curry and thai shrimps were awesome. Already exited to try something else on the menu, which is a lot of varieties. Dont be fooled by the outdoor apearance. A must!
Delicious food. Best Thai.
This is a hole in the wall that serves good food! Been going there for years and love it!
Got take-out here more than a few times on an extended visit from the Bay Area last year. Enjoyed yellow chicken curry as well as the red vegetable curry. Good, clean food and reasonably priced.
Great food, great prices
Do not order the chicken curry
Disappointed. Prices are reasonable, but portions are small. While eating with a friend we asked for some sauces: red chili, fish sauce (nam pla), and some soy sauce. The guy seemed upset and said, “You want all that?!” Considering most restaurants already have those sauces on the table it just shows this place likes to skimp out. Anyways, not the best Thai place by far. Wouldn’t really want to go here again.
We got a few dishes, but the pic is of the Beef Salad. More like Beef Soup salad. Not what you’d expect with other Thai salad styles.
I have never had Thai food this delicious before. Chose to come here since a lot of places are closed Sunday and I'm glad I did. Great prices and quality food! They have many vegan and vegetarian options. Their coconut milk soup is sublime especially paired with the papaya salad. The crispy tofu appetizer was just the right amount of crunchy with a soft center. The pad Thai is spicy, delectable, and filled with many vegetables in a tangy sauce that's sure to hit the spot. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality meal for a more than reasonable price.
Hilo's original Thai Restaurant. The recipes haven't changed. Neither has the decor - lol. But very very good Thai food.
Best Thai cuisine in Hawaii! Food is better than all competitors in town. My fave!
Good food, good prices and decent sized portions
The booths had wear and tear, but the food was EXCELLENT! We will be frequenting it in the near future. I had the shrimp fried rice and she had the drunken noodles. Great food, very friendly service. We had tried a couple of other Thai places around Hilo and this has been our favorite.
I'd recommend to try Thom Yam. It was great. Had it couple of times at this place.
The prices are very reasonable.
But you need to know what to eat. Oysters were too deep fried I barely notice oysters itself
We recently went here while on vacation. Everything was super tasty and fresh. The staff was attentive and sweet with a good sense of humor. The prices were not bad at all.
So cheap so good. best Thai
Love this restaurant-eat there regularly at least once a month.
Very good food! Try the larb beef very spicy!
This Thai restaurant in downtown Hilo is the best place for Thai foods.
I have been to several Thai restaurants and this restaurant is by far the best.
The cashew chicken, curry and the Thai noodle soups are just amazing.
Thai noodle soup is really spicy but it's so good your stress will go away.
Oh! and don't forget the papaya salad it goes well with any food you choose.
If you are in Hilo and want Thai food check this place out~
With the number of great Thai places in town, the only reason to visit this place is if it happens to be the only restaurant open (the predicament I found myself in the other night). If you love Thai food without any flavor, that's not fresh, then yes, you will love this place.
Take my advice and visit any other Thai place in town, there are numerous fantastic options.
