Serving quality Thai and Hawaiian cuisine
Some places still do things correctly, and this little gem is one of them! The building is clean, unpretentious, and interestingly decorated. You can park right out front. The ingredients are very obviously fresh, and the presentation is quite nice. Service was friendly, quick, and seemed genuine (in that when they ask you how everything tastes, they're actually curious, instead of just going through the standard script). The bathroom has extremely hot water coming from the sink- always a positive critical indicator for me. This is one of the best dinners I've had in a while here in Savannah. I had the chicken Tom Yum soup and the Thai chicken fried rice. The bill was totally fitting of the quality and quantity of food. I will absolutely return again very soon. Please, go eat there- it's a small place, and a bit hidden. This is the kind of restaurant that *deserves* more business in this town, instead of the rip-jobs that others are doing downtown. This is a native Savannahian's opinion.
Run from this place! I know this is Savannah, but it's not outer space! I should have left when I saw Mango & Sticky rice being priced $15.99. Food is SOOO overpriced here, and I've had better Thai foods for sure. $5 for a tiny bowl of jasmine rice? Come on! People are not here just for your cute flower decoration on their plates. And, they were ready to kick me out when I even had food in my mouth, the place was not even a third full.
My wife and daughter and I just had our first visit. What a great place! We all commented on how fresh, flavorful, beautiful and high quality the food was. And the service was outstanding - very attentive and friendly. The prices are a little bit higher than other places, but you’ll soon find out that it’s true at this restaurant that you get what you pay for. We’re all looking forward to our next visit.
The place is a little hard to spot from the road as it's tucked in there. But the place inside is very lively and has a good vibe. Some Thai decor, but caters to a larger audience.
Ordered the Spicy Basil with Tofu. The pepper was not mixed in very well and the sauce could have been a bit thicker, but it tasted good. The Tofu was fried well. The vegetables were tasty, but I would have preferred them to be a bit more crunchy. Good portion.
The Panang curry was excellent.
We also ordered the drunken noodle and a tom yum soup. I didn't have it, but someone else in my party said it was too sweet for them... particularly the soup.
Overall, it's a decent place to stop, but would definitely suggest you tune your dish to your liking.
What a wonderful place! The BEST food i’ve had since moving to Savannah in 2024. I had the traditional Loco Moco and Tom Kha soup, the flavors of both dishes were next level! Too often restaurants think flavor only means more or less salt, at Chiriya’s you can taste the fresh flavors of every ingredient. So happy I finally tried this place.
We were so disappointed in the quality of the food and the prices are honestly shockingly high, especially considering that it’s not downtown … but if the food was amazing, okay, that’s fine. You’ve earned it. But that’s not the case here. The chicken satay ($16) involved some pieces of chicken that were not terribly impressive, seemed sort of braised instead of grilled. There were gristles 😱. The peanut sauce was not good… sweet, bland; basically it inspired us to ask “why don’t we do this at home more often, because we can make a kick a$$ peanut sauce and this isn’t like that at all.” We each got a really really small amount of tofu with our dish as the protein. Mine literally had three small chunks of tofu in the entire dish, massaman curry which was $18. The sauce was incredibly thin, the potatoes were freezer-burned (I did pick out and eat all of the baby green beans, which were fine). We paid and left a few minutes after getting our food, my wife barely touched hers (one bite told her it was not good) and our server didn’t even ask if everything was okay with our food. There are several much better options for Thai in Savannah, I highly recommend that you avail yourself of one of them.
I absolutely love the atmosphere a lot in that place and the food had so much good flavor same with the drinks and the waitress is super sweet and nice I’ll definitely eat there again, to anyone who wants Thai food I highly recommend this Chiriya’s Thai Cuisine it has the best atmosphere and service
Ordered the tofu Thai fried rice. I am not exaggerating when I tell you there were like 5 TINY pieces of tofu. Tofu is like 2 dollars for a whole brick?! Why so stingy? The rice was very greasy and the dish had a weird, sweet taste. I ate 2 bites and asked for my check. The server didn’t even ask why I didn’t want a box🤣🤣🤣🥲 17.99 and I didn’t eat the food and you don’t even know any to know why? Honestly I have eaten at some pretty upscale places and these prices were really excessive. 15.99 for mango sticky rice DESSERT!

Friendly family owned establishment, lovely people and delicious food. I always get the beef salad and hawaiian tea
This place is joke there was a bug on my bowl and the place is overpriced me and my wife spent almost a $100 at this place. If you want to eat thai food please so somewhere else.

Love going here. Pineapple curry and drunken noodle have been my favorites for many years.

Perfect! Loved the food
My wife and I have come here repeatedly for the excellent food, convenient location, and unique take on Thai favorites.
Update: had the "nuclear chicken" it was so tasty. Love that I finally found a restaurant that actually has good spicy food. It made me very happy. Still has great service too!
Other reviews indicated this restaurant had spicy food. I got Pad See Ew "Thai hot" and it did not disappoint. Also, the servers were all very friendly. I will definitely go back again.
The food was excellent! My husband and I were staying near by and decided to stop by one night for dinner. The food was great and the staff were friendly!
Delicious, hidden gem. Best Thai in the Savannah area.
Great Thai and service. The food and atmosphere have a very authentic taste and feel. We love this restaurant!
My experience here was one for the books, I have visited before, but this time it was so great. The service the warm welcome everything.
Great food and service
Always best drunken noodles in town - shanna
The BEST pad Thai ever
After a long wait got our food 😳The portion was so small and for extra rice, they charged an enormous fee !! Wouldn't recommend it!!
Yes, the food tastes good. But when you're only getting 3 pieces of meat in your curry you wonder what you're paying for. (Based on 3 visits). Would rather take my business elsewhere.

Best food in Savannah, hands down one of my all time favorite places to eat at. Always good food, wonderful staff & lovely vibes.
Chiriya’s special noodles is my go to dish almost every time we go there.
I eat here a lot and have never been let down. Great people who make amazing food.
Our new cute date night spot! Food was outta this world! Went twice in one week. Will be back soon!
Best Thai in Savannah. Been here semi regularly and consistently have an amazing meal every single time.
Prices seemed a little high for the portions, but everything was delicious! Uploaded menus with current pricing and dated the photo to help others.
We had Drunken Noodles, a curry, pad thai, and cashew nut stir fry. Everything was delicious and the staff was friendly.
Like others, I read the reviews and was thinking how great this place was going to be, I'm afraid I have the same opinion as others. Great atmosphere, good service The food was level two thai food, We have a hole in the wall back home with better food and way cheaper. If you're looking for a great Thai experience, this is not it? If you're looking for expensive mediocre thai food, go for it.
Very expensive..
Best Thai Restaurant in Savannah! We’ve never had a bad meal here. From dining in or picking up dinner to-go, the food is always exceptional!
The best food in Savannah, Ga! So fresh, so delicious...your taste buds are gonna do a little dance!
If you don't know, now you've been told, go to Chirya's right now!! They have a lunch and dinner menu. Lunch is served 11:30am to 3pm. I got the lunch portion of Kaula Pig & Cabbage. Smoked pork that has been slow roasted in banana leaves, cabbage and rice. Delicious! Seasoned well and the pork was out of bounds! Lunch is reasonably priced for what you get, $11.99 plus tax. Don't miss out!
Great food and service. It is one of the best Thai places in Savannah.
came here on a whim, as I just moved to savannah and was craving thai food. the green curry was to die for!! the inside decor was also very cute and cozy!! will definitely come back. so glad i found this place!
Had been here a few times a liked the food. Sadly probably wont be going back. Placed a pickup order at 630pm. was told an hour. showed up at 730. sat and waited for 45 minutes with no updates. watched as other pickup orders showed up and were also made to wait and I saw no one get food in the time i was there.
I probably wouldnt have written this review if they had even offered me so much as a glass of water during the FORTY FIVE MINUTES i sat at the empty bat waiting but......
Good Thai food enjoyed the experience.
Food was mediocre to say the least. Ordered garlic chicken with vegetables for lunch and was quite disappointed. There were four tiny pieces of chicken with a small amount of vegetables. I asked the server about the skimpiness of the dish. She took it back to the kitchen and was told that’s the size of the lunch entree. I will not be returning. The server was quite nice
My party of 3 each had something different off of the lunch menu.
Cashew chicken it was delicious, drunken noodles with chicken, Thai basil with shrimp. The first two were medium and just right, the last dish was no spice and she still had a tiny bit but she said it was a great dish.
I eat here at least once a month.
Also try the Thai iced tea it is worth every penny.
Have always liked this place despite slow service. Most recent experiences have been disappointing. Flavorless Pad Siew. How can that even happen? Owner said they could remake, but I was hungry and didn’t have time to wait. Back to the drawing board…
Always fast service and the best hawaiian fusion inspired food you'll ever find. We come as often as we can!
Great Thai place with excellent atmosphere and wonderful staff. My favorite is the green curry or pad Thai. We go to the Savannah children's theatre often and look for great near by food and this hits the spot.
Exclectic restaurant with an intimate atmosphere. Quiet and personal, the staff was knowledgeable on the menu and very non-intrusive. Perfect place for a second or third date night. The Tom Ka was spot-on. The huli huli chicken had a distinct flavor that got better with each bite. I especially enjoyed the Hawaiian iced tea. It complimented what we wanted for a special Friday night together.
The green curry was very good!
Recommend!
Chiriya's is a wonderful little eatery. I love the menu options and everything I have ordered has been nothing short of amazing. I highly suggest stopping here if you are visiting bonaventure cemetery as it is close by. The photo I included is the drunken noodles and yes it tastes as good as it looks. I also suggest the plum wine 🍷.
Great food! Great friendly service!
Very authentic Thai.. peanut sauce for chicken satay are excellent and an actual Thai recipe..
Service is great and lovely atmosphere. Very recommended
we tried this place while on vacation because of its excellent reviews And it did not disappoint. we placed a to go order, the food was excellent, the pick up was easy and the prices were good.
Low key, quiet place, i had the crispy quacker just to joyride the experience, and it was delicious. Ducks are fatty. I did not know that before, but I'd expect it to be the new carnivore diet animal. Also had some Tom Ka; please drown me in it if I do get a death wish, it's almost too good.
Food here was not impressive. The canned bamboo reminded me of a toilet bowl, very unfresh i sent it straight back. The waitress couldnt understand english well either, made me wish i hadnt stopped at all. These ratings are inflated.
Stir fry was just ok.
Pork was not very tender
No one was here when dinning in expect us. The food was not that good either. I was not expecting so much sodium in the pad Thai with only 5 pieces of shrimp. Too expensive for low quality food.
We just tried it for the first time and will definitely be back. My husband had the yellow curry — no spicy and I had the red curry — medium spicy. Both were excellent! The building was very clean and inviting and the staff was kind and attentive.
Really great place for Thai food.. try the fried ice cream... You will not be disappointed
Amazing food and excellent service! We’ll be coming back for sure!
Great food and great people! We love this place!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. I went with my family (9 different meals) and everyone left impressed. In particular their drunken noodles and all of their curries were really excellent.
Had to change my review to better fit what's going on there now. Unfortunately, the quality has dropped tremendously. I ordered the Chicken Pho. What I got was a bowl of chicken noodle soup, there wasn't a vegetable to be found. I think they wave the veggies over the bowl a few times. Other than that it was basically broth and Chinese 5 spice power sprinkled on top. My friend got green curry Thai hot the exact same thing she's gotten for literal years. They clearly made a mistake not only did they give her the scorpion hot, but the owner even caught that it was the wrong color (orange) but played it off as it was what she ordered. When the server was asked, the server had no choice but to repeat what the owner said which was "nothing in the recipe has changed". even though it was orange, and it had extra pepper flakes. The biggest give away was not only the bright orange color for the green curry. But it tasted like peppers. Zero other flavor.. just pepper. Now I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I don't particularly like being lied to and then getting told we're wrong and we still had to pay for food that wasn't even eaten. This will be the last visit we ever make here. We've been coming here for years. On to the next place. the Server was amazing as always!
Christina was great! She made our night ! Thank You!

Love this place!
As a food sales rep , I travel the east coast eating Thai food to find the best and most authentic . When I got here and got her special ramen noodle, I knew instantly this place was the real deal . We got the pad thai and the ramen noodle, easily top 5 and I’ve been to over hundreds of Thai restaurants . This is the place! Ms Chiriya is the real deal
Definitely in my top three favorite restaurants without having to go through the hassle of downtown. We have been eating at Chiriyas since they were located on the south side. I’ve NEVER had a meal that was disappointing. Everything on the menu is so delicious
What an amazing find! I was looking for a place to get so Tom Ka and a Red Curry.
This place is amazing! The staff is wonderful, very friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding. I love the brightness of the To Ka, and it's spice level was perfect. The Red Curry Chicken was phenomenal. I got the medium heat and would have gleefully eaten another plate or 3.
I did do this as takeaway, and was delighted to see how they labeled the container!
Amazing find in Savannah!!!!
This is my favorite place to eat in Savannah. Everything I have tried there is amazing. The owner is a doll and she knows her customers by name. I just moved here and was by myself for a couple of months before my family moved here, and I decided to go in and eat alone, which I don’t like to do. They made me feel like family and from then on this was my go to spot. The spring rolls are amazing. The Hawaiian tea is so good. Literally everything is delicious. This place holds a special place in my heart ❤️ Order anything and you won’t be disappointed! The servers are great too. You can tell they love what they do.
I don't think there is enough said about this hidden treasure Thai spot. Highly recommend if you're looking to impress family or impress a date!
Husband wife duo mix Hawaiian and Thai food culture in amazing flavor combinations. Prices are reasonable for the food but it is worth multiple trips.
Highly recommend the House Noodles and the Pork and Cabbage with rice!
Tasty curries and jasmine rice. Pad Thai also delicious. Generous portions so you will not leave hungry. Served with a smile!
Food and Service was Excellent. I will definitely be back there again soon
Good food, reasonable prices, fast service. Great lunch spot!
The best Thai food in Savannah. The summer rolls with their peanut sauce is to die for
Awesome Thai food and friendly host! Would come again.
Authentic, delicious Thai food! Great and fast service, enjoyed eating here.
Great place, good food and friendly service. Spring rolls and fried dumplings with cream cheese are excellent. Only improvement would be wider selection of craft beer.
Consistently super good food !! Always incredible, this place has always been an awesome place to eat:
Great staff. Owner present and super nice. Our boys (under 10) love their fried rice and apps. Heat scale exceeded expectations due to its combo with flavor. If not asked, be sure to specify heat preference. Mild is the default.
Top-notch Thai in an excellent family run spot. Not much to look at, but the food makes up for it. Our go-to place for reasonably priced Thai with some Polynesian specials thrown in. Everything is great, but beware of the Nuclear Chicken, which may be the spiciest menu item on Earth. The very friendly and efficient staff will warn you away from the Nuke, and you should heed their warning unless you want your tongue to end up in the nearest ER. Otherwise, there's lots to enjoy without emptying your wallet. No liquor, just beer and wine, but so what? Food this good doesn't need an accompanying martini. A must try.
Very friendly staff. Delicious food. Outstanding Larb.
this was a wonderful find: an authentic family-run Thai restaurant with Hawaiian specialties...the pork larb was fantastic, the kalua pig stir fried with cabbage and onion was delicious, the service was excellent, and the space was very comfortable... I'll definitely be back!
Delicious 🤤
Beside the great authentic taste of the food the staff and setting make for the perfect romantic evening for lovers.
Excellent food, friendly atmosphere
i like the vibes the staff is chill you feel like you’re in your friends house i always seem to go there when i’m brain dead from a long work week and i just zone out to good food and a beer
A must visit in Savannah! A fantastic 'hole in the wall' restaurant that never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and and outgoing and the food is top tier. They serve a variety of Thai and Hawaiian inspired dishes. My favorite is the chicken pho, but I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered!
Ordered a curry for dinner carry-out while they were serving lunch. Service was spot-on. Food was excellent, actually better than I expected, since I lived 40 years in Seattle, which has some of the best Thai food in the US. The curry had some good heat, which I had requested. I admit I could have used a little bit more rice, maybe a pint instead of a scoop. The presentation in the carry-out dish was even nicely done. Will return.
First time here. Delicious!
We had our 7th anniversary there. Very nice/special place. Go...you won't regret it.
I was craving a healthy Thai soup and the Tom Yum soup was absolutely the best tom yum broth I have ever tasted! Lots of garlic too, all in all a great help for my Fall sinus issues, look forward to returning!
Amazing food, wonderful staff, great prices. Chiriyas is the real deal. If you are in the mood for authentic Thai food, this is the place to go. I suggest the panang curry with chicken and definitely try Chiriyas cheesecake for dessert. You won't be disappointed!
Delicious and very friendly service! The best Pad Thai and super delicious soup. The spice level is on point!
Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Atmosphere & decor were great!! First time!! Great pho
Great food!

Very good food but very pricey. I like the atmosphere too. Service was ok.
Excellent Thai cuisine; beautifully presented and expertly seasoned.
I rarely give 5 stars. This is the best Thai restaurant . The food was very spicy Like I like it , fresh flowers on the table great place for special quiet events. The staff make sure you are taken care of. The owner is Chiriya is down to earth. If you do not eat here just once you are denying your self
Chiriya has been one of my favorites for 15 years. Do yourself a favor and eat there. Start with a Hawaiian tea.
One of our favorite places for takeout for the family or for a date night. Amazing as always.
This was by far the worst Thai restaurant in Savannah Georgia.
Fantastic food! Great service!!
Excellent pad thai and drunken noodles.
While you check out the menu, have a thai iced COFFEE!
Delicious! Spicy food was no joke!
We have wanted to try this out for months but always seem to crave it on Sundays and Mondays when they’re closed.
Our whole family loved it. The kids got chicken stir fry, my husband got red curry, and I ordered the pad Thai and the Hawaiian tea. Everything was delicious and the portions were ample. We will certainly be back!
Excellent food, great service very relaxing atmosphere.
Ridiculously expensive . My 2$ a piece crab wonton had no crab. Disappointed.
Does has a very nice atmosphere 👌
Delicious food and super nice service!!
This place is Fantastic! Best That I've had in Savannah - Thunderbolt on islands.
Everything was perfect waitress was amazing and the food will bring you back!
I've enjoyed food here on 3 separate occasions. The service has always been excellent. The food is delicious. I subtracted 1 star because there is no option to purchase additional curry sauce for my meal. All 3 curry meals I have ordered have been lacking in enough curry to thoroughly mix with the rice and veggies. My friend and I inquired on our latest visit if we could order a side of curry to supplement. We were told the owner absolutely refuses to do this, even for a surcharge. It was clear we weren't the first to request this and be refused... It's really a shame because the food is so fantastic - I just want a bit more curry with my curry meal.
We really enjoyed the food and service. Loved the Tom Ka soup and chicken dumplings along w our meals. I had Pad Sew like Pad Thai but Brown Sauce I just am not sure how to spell the name.My boyfriend had the Kahlau Hawaiian Pig w Cabbage. Both were delicious ! We love this place and the owner and staff.
One of my favorite places to go for lunch. I always get the summer rolls to start, they're a must! Chiriya's special noodles and Pad Se-Ew are my go-to entrees, and she always gives the best service!
This is coming from someone that has had authentic thai. It’s not it. Flavors are not there nor the quantity. There are better options for thai in the city.
Love this place! Best people best Thai !
The staff is phenomenal, the ambiance is soothing, the food is comforting. Love this neighbor jewel!
These people are awful to their workers (tip thieves) and they reuse garnishes (staff got in trouble for throwing them away when they were “still good” 🤢) Avoid if you have food allergies or want food that has definitely not been on someone else’s plate. One star only because I can’t post without it, would prefer to give zero.
Best Thai food in town love it all time nice and friendly environment.
Usually great but tonight missed the mark. Pad Thai was so sweet it was inedible. Picked out some of the pork before having it taken away. (Waitress offered a box but wasn't interested in asking how it was. I think she knew.) Wish I had seen a previous post reporting the same but I have never had a bad meal here so I didn't think to Google investigate. Wife had the beef salad which she said was fantastic as always. The fried wanton app was a great starter. Great little place and we will be back....just not for the Pad Thai.
We took my daughter there to have dinner with her . The foods was so so salty !!!! We can’t even eat it ! Awful awful .. I would never ever come back here again .
Ordered the pad Thai and spring rolls. Pad Thai is super sweet and I was not able to eat it. The spring rolls were soggy and very bland.
Ordered take out lunch special curries including green and panang plus a cup of Tom yum. Had high hopes for this as it was our first time at Chiriya's, the Tom yum was too oily and lacking the bite Tom yum has, the curries we're good but not great. Being that I love closer to King and I I will keep ordering at King and I as their food is superior.
