Thai eatery serving classic dishes & wine in a relaxed space with vibrant art panels on the wall.
Delectable Thai cuisine and a casual atmosphere. Mixed drinks were unique and inviting. Generous portions for each meal.
Red curry(in the picture) is always my go-to, but the larb, ginger, and massamun curry were flavorful too. The red curry was on the sweeter side with a good deal of spice.
Server was polite and very attentive.
Beautiful restaurant - really clean interior, modern, and appealing! Nicely lit. You could dine in here or sit on their nicely appointed patio. But… we all know Thai food is also great takeout!
Their Pad Thai is easily some of the best I’ve had. If you like to feel the heat, ask for EXTRA spicy because they held back a little. ;) the drunken noodles were delicious. Great flavors.
I would return here any time!
The restaurant was packed when we walked in, from what I've heard it is great to have a reservation as we had to wait 20 mins before being seated. There is no waiting area indoors, however they do have a bar where you can be served the full menu if you're dining alone. Their menu is expansive and has a lot of customizable options. They care for your dietary restrictions be it vegan or vegetarian and they make sure fish oil or paste is not added to any broth or stir fries. I highly recommend their pineapple friend rice, it has a smoky flavor and is quite filling. All the food is nicely plated and well served. Their tom kha is also quite flavorful. The ambiance is casual and family friendly. They don't have any stairs and is accessible with wheelchairs and the tables are also appropriately tall. There are accessible stops for parking in front of the restaurant and ample of free parking in the lot. The service is fast. They offer dine in, to go and delivery through all major apps.
This was an absolutely pleasant experience! We could not believe how wonderful all the items were and how perfectly balanced all the flavors were!
This could easily be our new favorite thai restaurant! We arrived yesterday with a pretty large group but despite that, our server was patient and kind. She got all the orders perfect and took care of us in an efficient manner!
The level of spice and the blend of flavors was excellent and wr really enjoyed it. You know this place is popular when basically every seat was filled on a Wednesday evening! But that just goes to show how much people like this place.
I would honestly put this on the same level, if not higher than Nahm and Thooms Thai...but it was definitely way better than squared.
Thanks for a great meal! We will be back again and again!
Ordered delivery from here. I’m a vegetarian, so I ordered Pad Thai vegetarian, no protein and add ginger. It was terrible! No peanut sauce, and it had meat in it with no veggies at all. I travel all around the country, and this was the worst Pad Thai. It didn’t even have one strip of carrot, and absolutely a tiny amount of sauce. The peanuts and sauce is why you order Pad Thai! And, the meat looks like diced chicken or pork. Its def not tofu even. Wow…. Disappointed and now I have no dinner.
I ordered food from here last night on February 19, 2025. I had ordered 2 fried rice and 2 pad see ew. The food was VERY BLAND , REALLY NO FLAVOR AT ALL. My family and i were very disappointed. I paid over $60+ with an 18% tip over $80.00 for a pickup order !!!
The food was horrible, ordered Basil fried rice, it tasted like Chinese fried rice with Tofus with no flavor. The quantity was also less for $17 (dinner portion).

Amazing food. Thai red curry was ultimate..

Not good! We ordered thai basil rice with chicken and eggs and chicken padthai, bith were horrable! Not worth the money. We prefer fast food than this teasturent.

Food was ok, manager was very rude. Had ordered a coconut soup, we said there was no flavor and she made a scene about it. We’ve been here before, never treated like this.
The food was ok ok, taste wise compared to some of my other favourite Thai places in and out of the city. The ingredients were good. I recommend not adding too much sweetener( sugar) and keeping it authentic
This is a great restaurant. It is very clean. The food is prepared well and the ingredients are fresh. They offer dine in or take out and the prices are reasonable. We always enjoy the Thai Basil wraps and spring rolls. Make sure if you don't want your food to be spicy that you tell your server in advance. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Today I placed a To Go order and drove approximately 15 miles round trip to kickboxing. Unfortunately I did not check my bag before I left and got home to find they did not put any rice in the bag. Zero rice. The food is wonderful but I sure with I had some rice. Make a note to yourself to double check your To Go order before you leave the restaurant.
This is really a gourmet experience and everyone should try it.
Phase Seau Was Delicious!
Awesome food! Plenty of interesting options. Service felt a bit slow but it was an almost full house.
Great meal served hot and flavorful. Portion sizes were good and we eneded up taking leftovers home. We got there before the rush so we were served relatively quick. They do a great take-out service, as I saw dozens of picknups while we were enjoying our meal.
This is THE BEST THAI RESTAURANT in Cumming. Awesome food and great service . Soups are awesome and food fantastic
Food was good, service was ok.
They took forever to add a dessert to my order and got confused on how to charge my credit card. Wait time was too long.
I like this restaurant
But Todays dinner was really disappointing the rice was uncooked and Thai taste was missing
Noddles tasted very bad very very disappointed
This has been our go to Thai place for years now and we were never disappointed, UNTIL yesterday. They have increased the food price on pretty much all items, which is okay, but the quality of food has gone down.
We asked the server what kind of seafood comes with the seafood pineapple rice. She said calamari, shrimps, and scallops, so he ordered it, but it came with mussels also. The server did not mention that it contains mussels, which we don't like. We also ordered the catfish and it was very salty! The server did take it back to the kitchen and had another new one made, but by the time she brought it out, everyone was done eating!
It was the best until recently, but today I online ordered basil fried rice and Panag curry and very disappointed with the taste. I will avoid going back
Awesome food and great service 😋
Reordered same items we really enjoyed about 2 months ago. Big disappointment. Tom Yum soup seemed off, the Thai Lamb Basil was good, but a little overdone, the Roasted Duck Curry was very good, not great and the Pad Thai and Fried Rice were just fair.
Food - Tender, fresh and tasty!!! We ordered mix appetizer plate with satey, shrimp dumpling and crab rolls and an entree of green curry with egg fried rice and white rice. The food was just amazing specially satey was soft and tender and smoked (slurrppp). Our toddler enjoyed egg fried rice and fried dumpling.
Service : excellent service!! Chris was Friendly and welcoming! The service was fast. The place was pleasant and spacious!
Decent place for a family dinner or a catch with colleagues and friends. Entrees and main course is good. You feel the authentic Thai taste in wvery dish. Their Massamun curry, Pad Thai and Salmon Green curry tasted great! Drinks can be better!
On of our favorite local places. Great service and delicious food. I really appreciate that they can make things gluten free!
Got served a bunch of one vegetable where the seeds had all turned brown and taken on a strange flavor. They cut up the vegetable and decided to serve it anyway, but it kind of spoiled the dish. Waitress was very nice though.
Try the place across the street if you're not satisfied with Thai Basil
This was an absolutely pleasant experience! We could not believe how wonderful all the items were and how perfectly balanced all the flavors were!

Thanks for a great meal! We will be back again and again!
Update: Service is abysmal. The waitress mumbled and did not speak more than very basic English which also is not understandable. The bussing staff are much more friendly though their English also is limited. Food was just about ok - a bit too salt heavy on the pad prik sauce and undercooked fibery green beans. Earlier: We've been having lunch/getting takeout more frequently and food is quite flavorful and well-presented. So adding a star. Still 1 star held back for hit-or-miss service - understaffed and it shows.
Beautiful restaurant - really clean interior, modern, and appealing! Nicely lit. You could dine in here or sit on their nicely appointed patio. But… we all know Thai food is also great takeout!

The best Thai Food around. We absolutely love this place and it’s the only Thai restaurant we will eat at. The portions are huge and the flavors are amazing. We are so lucky to have found this place when we moved here. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant at all.
Don't go here on a Sunday. The food is not the same as usual. Watery curry, overcooked appetisers. Check when they have a proper chef, then this place is 5/5.
I cannot express my frustration enough.
Its the worst Thai food I've had in a long time. We ordered panang curry, drunken noodles and basil fried rice.
Spice level was medium but the food came as sweet as doughnuts.
In fried rice, the rice was raw, veggies inside all the dishes were stale esp. Baby corn.
We paid extra for Tofu in Drunken noodles guess what it had 2 peaces of tofu for an extra $2.
Panang curry tasted weird. Again the rice came with it was raw.
No offense this place is running pure business . The managment and people working in the kitchen were not even asian. which is unusualt to see at a Thai place. I would never visit this place again to waste $$$.
Good, flavorful food here, the spices are very well done. Will go again!
Food is absolutely wonderful !!
Food is very tasty. Crab roll is too good.
Don't miss out. Great lunch selections. The amount of food is beyond what you would expect. This place would definitely impress a date or a business luncheon. Price is not a shock.
Really delicious! We love the basil rolls, crab rolls, massaman curry, and calamari. Tried the crying tiger today, also really good. They have something for everyone. On top of food, service was really great!
We followed the chef from our favorite Thai place to Thai Basil when he opened it several years ago. Incredible food, fantastic service and they continue to invest in the facility and its wonderful and comfortable to visit, whether you sit inside or outside on the side patio. What we love most is that the food is consistently excellent.... Every single time!
Amazing, delivery is always hot on arrival and crispy.
Fair Thai food overall, friendly, quick. Watch for over cooked curry. Pricey for Thai at this quantity/quality.
Delicious food. Thai Basil has become one of our go to restaurants. Try the Pad Thai!
The crab rolls are my favorite appetizer ever. Every dish was spectacular. Can’t wait to go back
Ordered few dishes on a Monday night and we received stale spring rolls, ofcourse they were crispy and hot but filling was completely gone bad.
Ordered few main courses and the quality and taste very bad
Double check your order MULTIPLE times now they have given me the wrong protein in my order when the receipt shows the correct order.
I love this place because every time I come here with my family there's always great service and the food is so delicious. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Best crab rolls I’ve had!
The timing says 9pm on google but when we arrived around 8:30 pm, they said it’s closed, now we cannot even go to a different place cause even that will be closed by the time we reach.
Food tastes good
This place makes you pay and out of the door before food is even finished. Wanted to order more food and drinks but was bright bill which i flipped but she came with machine 😃 she rushed me out of the door even after I asked to leave me to chew the food.. rush rush rush
Bringing bill without asking for it is rude and insult to your customers
No English at this place
PROs - ambience, location, interiors, many food items were good, price
CONs - Serviceeeee, Veg food
First timer.. was craving thai food and went to this restaurant. Actually when we entered , it wasnt that packed. only a couple of tables had customers. Service could have been better. Someone took orders right half of the table and didnt ask the other half of table. half table got drinks while other half was waitng. We tried calling them multiple times, but they kept saying "im not assigned to this table" .. atlast after 10-15 mins everyone in the table their drinks. price was ok.. not that expensive. They have a full fledged bar with some decent collection of beers .
Food was ok. pad thai was really good. the noodles was a bit thick but it tasted good. vegetarian friend rice was OK. vegatarian food overall was average. Fried tofu was good . satay was good , and soup was also ok. we just loved the fried ice creams to finish things off. that was our favorite. overall a good experience with food, and service could have been better.
This is my FAVORITE place to get Thai food. The food here has so much flavor and everything taste so fresh and delicious here. My absolute favorite meal is the “Pad Prik King” 10/10 recommend.
We've never eaten in the restaurant BUT we have takeout perhaps 2 or 3 times a month. The food is excellent and never disappoints.
When collecting the food the atmosphere in the restaurant always seems to be good, we must try it sometime soon 😁
We tried this place a few weeks ago, and we loved it then. So we came back.
This time we got here when they just opened. It was quiet but pleasant. Our appetizer came in fast but our drinks took a little too long, but it was worthy.
The chicken Pad Thai was so delicious, I do like it better with lime and when I asked the server, she brought us a bunch of them unlike many other restaurants. The sauce of my Pad Thai was so delicious.
The fried rice was also very good. Not salty at all. Had a lot of chicken too.
In general food is very good. The taste, the amount, everything. We even took some leftovers home.
Peach, our server was very nice and kind, attentive. The best we have had so far.
Pad Thai was yummm!!
For 25 -30 years we used to drive around Atlanta looking for the best Thai food. And then they opened up Thai Basil 4 miles from where we live. Wow damn the luck.
We think this is the best one in Atlanta.
Service is very poor and seems to entertain certain people more than the others. Hostess showed us to the table and forgot all about us and was busy attending guest that came in way after we arrived. I had to call an employee walking by to take our order or send a server. Highly disappointed. Recommended some friends but now not so sure.
Very fresh and delicious food. Lots of variety on the menu. They did a good job getting the spice level accurate. Quick and attentive service. Relaxing and spacious atmosphere.
Went in for lunch. Got satat a table waited 20 minutes and was not greeted. I had to get up to fet someones attention. Finally ordered got food and no one returned to check on us. I had to get up again to ask for my check. Will not be returning. The only reason I gave one star is that the eed curry was good.
Food is always great!
For their prices and the food I am surprise they don’t have white paper to cover the tables. The food will look even more beautiful and will match their prices to a more upscale look. The space design is pretty, but white tables will take it to a 5 star. Is not clean enough to have a dirty rag cleaning the tables. Is not good hygiene.
Food was cold. I mentioned to keep the spicy level to Hot, but the Red curry and Basil fried rice was sweet to my taste.
Excellent pad Thai.
Very good!!!
I ordered seafood pad Thai to go and when I got inside to the bar to get my food, nobody assisted me, one of the waitress looked at me and ignored me. Then after I waited a little bit more, a different waitress came and gave me the food. I paid more than $20 for one pad Thai but it tasted horrible. Seafood was not fresh and tasted stale and sweet. Pad Thai supposed to be savory not just plain sweet. I would not come back in the future.
Wow!!! This place is absolutely a gem - we loved our dinner here! First of all, their menu is clearly marked with gluten free options, and there are plenty to choose from! We ordered the pad thai with shrimp, the panang curry with chicken, and the larb. The food was SO flavorful! Everything we had was more on the sweet side, which works well for me, but is just worth noting if sweet isn't your thing. Will absolutely be a regular here!
I paid $25 to the regular size shrimp fired rice which tastes very below average.
Changing my review from 5 star to 1 .. this is my 3rd visit here ... Something changed .. pathetic service ..
Horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was the only black parson in there to pick up an order and was blatantly ignored. I had to literally chase a worker down to give me the order that was already sitting to picked up. Save your black
Dollars
This place has the most amazing food! Nok is an amazing hostess.
Did a pickup food was amazing service was great would definitely recommend this place
Great 👍 place for Thai food. Good wall decor.
Good is descent but there is no reason it should take so long to get food. Even take out always takes twice as long as they claim
Very good flavors, service is great and good prices
The food is decent but the service is just horrible. The servers are rude, specifically the Asian lady is very unfriendly, trying to rush things!
Not a good experience.
Best Fried rice I ever had…very clean place and they have great energy!
Food is always great!
Food was great. But service was terrible, server was rude. We spent $60 for vegetarian basil fried rice, green curry, spring rolls and salad. Next time, I’ll be ordering to go.
This is the first time I ordered from this restaurant. I ordered Pad Kee Mao from grubhub, it felt like I was eating a burnt piece of ash. The chicken and rice noodles had dark burnt ash flavor. I would never order from here again.
I don't think they would mind losing a customer!! I'm disappointed.
Great food and quick service!
Still great after many years and so many wonderful meals! Very grateful Thai Basil is in my neighborhood.
I was very disappointed with the today’s service. I ordered Thai roll, king soup, pad mai and red curry, but they brought me panag curry instead. The noodles and soup were good, but the curry was too sweet for my taste. I tried to tell the server about the mistake, but they were nowhere to be found. When they finally came, they offered to change the curry, but I had already eaten half of it. They took the half-empty bowl and brought me another half bowl instead a new dish, which was not red curry either. It was some bland and watery sauce that had no flavor at all. I told them that I preferred the previous one, even though it was too sweet, and they just said “okay” and walked away. They did not apologize or offer any compensation for their error. I felt like they did not care about their customers at all.
I would have given this visit five stars but half our party did not receive their meals. Had to track down waitress and wait. Our meals were given to another table supposedly. They were very busy and the help was overwhelmed but trying. Food once received was awesome.
Very small portion
Tasty as always!
Excellent menu and very good service , best taste
Great place to go and eat
They charge 17$ for padthai or fried rice takeouts .. i expect good taste as well quantity..
quantity I received was as if slightly more than half filled with all sides left open..
Beware with the TIPPING SCAM!!! No Custom tip accepted.. they add default 20% tip even if it’s just 2 people eating
Very nice restaurant, food was tasty, good price, nice ambience, excellent service
The ambiance at Thai Basil was perfect for a relaxing night out with our favorite couple friends. We started the evening with Lychee Martini’s and that did not disappoint. I mean just look how delicious they made them look and taste. Service was impeccable, we never felt rushed or neglected. The menu offered a well balanced variety of dishes, from the soups to the meat sticks and the entrees, all our dishes were the perfect balance of sweet and savory, aromatic and perfectly spicy. A truly delightful culinary experience.
Love the quality food and service
Very good
Awesome coconut soup and masamam curry.
Over the years food at Thai Basil has stayed the same or better . They are vegetarian friendly and can recommend dishes that can be made without meat or fish.
Dinner portions are sufficient for a person.
Medium tends to be sweet. Order spicy for Thai flavor.
Great place to eat - excellent food and great service.
Server wasnt helpful in explaining the dishes! Food was good but service can be improved!
Best Pad Thai I’ve had.
Fantastic service. We love that place.
Best Thai food in Forsyth county. I have not seen any other Thai restaurants coming close to Thai Basil in taste, service and ambience. The only to go place for Thai food in Forsyth. Consistency in taste ever since it first opened up.
If I could rate this restaurant lower than one star, I most certainly would. My visit to this culinary catastrophe was nothing short of a nightmare. As a vegetarian with a severe shrimp allergy, I was assured that the basil rolls I ordered would be free from any seafood. Alas, it turned out to be a reckless lie that put my health and well-being in grave danger.
Picture this: I place my order, specifically emphasizing my allergies to shrimp, hoping that my simple request would be diligently followed. Oh, how naive I was!
The basil rolls arrived, looking harmless enough on the surface. However, upon my first bite, I felt an unmistakable tingling sensation that immediately raised red flags. Panic ensued as I realized that my worst fears were coming true - the rolls were undoubtedly tainted with shrimp!
Summoning the courage, I beckoned the manager, expecting a prompt and serious resolution to this life-threatening oversight. But what I received instead was an appalling display of indifference and apathy. The manager's blasé attitude only fueled my frustration, as they casually brushed off my grave predicament and nonchalantly handed the matter to a junior staff member.
The lack of concern for my safety was utterly mind-boggling. This was no trivial matter; my life was on the line! Yet, the junior staff member's response was equally as underwhelming as the manager's, displaying a complete lack of training or empathy in handling such sensitive situations.
To make matters worse, the manager failed to show any remorse or remorseful compensation for their blatant negligence. Instead, they seemed more interested in brushing me off and continuing with their lackluster day-to-day operations. This level of customer service is nothing short of abhorrent and highlights a gross disregard for patrons' well-being.
It is disheartening to witness a restaurant that treats the lives and health of its customers with such reckless abandon. If I could implore potential diners with one piece of advice, it would be this: steer clear of this establishment unless you have a penchant for gastronomic Russian Roulette!
In conclusion, my experience at this restaurant was a harrowing ordeal, leaving me not only physically compromised but also deeply disappointed in the utter lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by the management and staff. As I reflect on this traumatic event, I hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for others seeking a safe and enjoyable dining experience. Trust is a fragile commodity, and this restaurant has shattered it irreparably. Shame on them!
THE BEST Thai food in ALL of Forsyth County. Period. Hands down THE best. If you like Thai food, there’s no way you will not like this place. I’ve never had a bad dish or service here ever - and I’ve been going here for several years.
Food and service were great! Reasonable prices too! I will be back!!
The problem with preparing Thai dishes in the U.S. is the unavailability of Thai/Asian vegetables in this country. So I understand the chef just has to do his/her best. Me, as a Thai native, do not like to go to Thai restaurants for these reasons. Wrong types of veggies used can alter the taste and consistency of the dishes. And a lot of Thai veggies if available at all are too expensive for restaurants to use. Anyway, food here was good. Met my usual expectations of a typical Thai restaurant.
Food is absolutely heavenly, service can differ from day to day, it's never bad though, just slow some times.
Authentic Thai food! Loved everything about this restaurant.
Food was good, but the service was pathetic. Soup was served, but there were no cups for 10 mins.
Then food was served without any plates.
Our favorite Thai place in ages. Fresh vegetables in everything amazing flavor.
Great food. I have eaten there several times but last two visits they got my order slightly wrong. Otherwise I recommend this place.
I thoroughly enjoyed going here! Our waiter was super kind and welcoming. I tried the massamun curry (it was my first time trying curry) and absolutely loved it! The food was carried out quickly, and I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Would definitely come here again.
Very delicious, seasoned food! I really liked the unexpected spice I tasted in dishes I’ve never had a little spicy before. Customer service was excellent. It was not very busy so we were seated quickly and our food came out quickly also. Best money spent in a while. Thanks for the great after-workout meal experience!!
Loved the food and the friendly staff.. the red curry and rice 🍚 was my favorite 😍
And definitely try papaya Salad 🥗, super fresh
Love this Thai food place! The recipes here are fantastic. The red curry is my favorite! The servers are always sweet and have a smile on their face. It’s been about 4 visits now and would recommend! Lunch menu is good portion and prices are good value.
We at 8.40 refuse for service and also employed ask if we sit down and eat we have to pay 30% tip, I been going all the time 3 time months with family but I think this is not for good service no more that place for food 😡😡😡😡😡
Don't ever order the food through their website. I did thinking that it would help them vs ordering through doordash to reduce the fee - but they never got the order - and my card was charged. It was a nightmare. 20 mins just waiting....
Overall I think it’s pretty good! I got the lunch special Thai rice Kra Paw with mice chicken and my friend got the sticky rice. All are all very delicious!
Food was Good, good ambience.
A friend recommended Thai Basil to me. My daughter and I really enjoyed everything that we ate there. I had the Drunken Noodles called Pad Kee Mao and added shrimp-delicious!!! My daughter had the Thai Fried Rice and added shrimp. Also I had a Thai iced tea and Pad Thai to take home for later (I’m sure my Pad Thai would have been better if I’d eaten it there instead of to-go, but it was still tasty.)I want to sample more of their menu, so I’ll be back soon…
Great Thai food
Tasty Thai food!! The fried catfish was my favorite and I couldn’t stop eating
Edit: I’ve been back so many times since this review just for the catfish!! It’s actually my favorite Thai dish now. I also really recommend getting their combo starters (I always choose the rice paper rolls, spring rolls and satay) but you really can’t go wrong!
Placed order online 3/31/23 with estimated ready time of 7:23pm. Arrived at restaurant at 7:23pm to pick up food; Cashier said it wasn’t ready, so I took a seat in the waiting area. A few minutes later, my phone rang and it was a gentleman calling from inside the restaurant, so I walk up to inform the cashier. One of the employee explained that they were confused about my “cellophane only noodle”. She proceeded to tell me that it was a $2.00 up charge. I explained that it wasn’t an option indicated online. After I had paid online, the cashier created a separate transaction to charge me $2.00 despite the fact that the order was 20 minutes late. Is this fair or customer centric?
Excellent food and large portions
Always great food & service! Our family's favorite place for a great dinner. :)
👍🏻good
Good food and great Ambiance
