What was most of our crowd’s last choice, turned out to be the BEST meal any of us had had for quite some time. WOW! Everything we ordered was impeccable! Everything!
The service was tremendous and our server was so much fun and efficient.
We arrived around 6:45pm and they were able to take our orders and deliver our food before we attended the premier of TO THE MOON at the Newnan Theatre Company at 8 PM!
We will return to Garlic Thai Cuisine and Sushi Bar next weekend when we return to see TO THE MOON a second time.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Came here for brunch with a friend. I got the sushi roll which was around $13 (not including tax). It was delicious. My friend got the curry and she said she loved it. She paid around $18. The gentleman that was our waiter was friendly and very attentive. Thank you for the yummy food and great service!

First time here...crab angel appetizer, lamb chops, dynamite roll, crunchy roll and a water..$75 ish. Service was ok, it was busy for lunch on Friday, waitress took a long time to come back to the table but was pleasant. Food was really good!! Crab angel, like crab rangoons, stuffed with a good amount of crab and cream cheese... But the dipping sauce that came with it was way too sweet for me, but they were good on their own. The dynamite roll has to be one of my favorites and the crunchy roll was good but nothing like the dynamite roll. The lamb chops were really good also. They carry Pepsi products and I'm a mountain dew fan, which is hard to find it seems these days at most restaurants who carry coke products, so that always puts a smile on my face.. lol... Small space, kind of packed in because it was so busy during lunch time but the food definitely made up for it. Definitely will be back!

The BEST Thai food I’ve probably had in my entire life and I eat a lot of Asain cuisine… the curry is to die for and you have to get some Thai tea it is sooo good l.. the server was so nice and food came really quick.

A delightful lunch experience- very friendly and helpful server, took great care of our kids, and really delicious food- best Asian food we’ve had in a couple years
(Edamame, pumpkin curry, basil fried rice, and chicken tenders/fried rice for the kids)

By far the worst Thai food I’ve ever had.

I've been to Garlic Thai several times. The food and service is always excellent, especially this most recent time when the waitress was very thoughtful regarding my toddler. My only suggestion is offering a small side dish of sushi for $4 or $5 instead of only offering big rolls that are $9+.

Management or ownership change and unfortunately menu change and food quality change. Service change too. I used to love this restaurant, but I will not go back anymore.

Pad Thai with tofu is the way to go.

Went for lunch with friends. They have great $10 lunch specials. We shared the Pad Thai and Massaman Curry, both delicious. The coconut soup was amazing! And I LOVED the Tuna tacos. Tasted my friends sweet and sour chicken, that's what I'll order next time. Yummy!

Motorcycling is so drying on a day like today. I prefer country roads and passing through small towns. I don't actually know where I am, but my phone knows. I got the Pho! It's fresh and delicious and it's restoring my electrolytes and hydration like only a pho can do. What I see and smell at other tables seems just as good and the portions look generous. I'm gonna slurp every drop of the broth and ride on. I recommend Garlic Thai Cuisine on N. Court Square in ... where am I? ... Georgia. My bike is in the shot ... too subtle?

We've been coming here for a few years now, and I honestly don't know why I haven't written a review sooner. I LOVE Garlic. The staff, the food, the atmosphere. It all adds to the experience and I cannot express enough just how lovely visiting is. Every time I've asked about a dish and the contents of it, they always make sure that I am able to have it. Being gluten free, this is such an important thing to me, and everyone we've had help us out here is knowledgeable about gluten allergies, or knows I've never gotten sick from eating anything labeled gluten free here, which is pretty rare.
Will never stop coming here. Don't change, Garlic!

Found this Thai spot while traveling. Had good reviews so I decided to stop. The food was excellent, friendly service. I ordered beef khao soi and a Tasmania roll. Soo good, seriously recommend this little spot. It was Saturday and this small town was very active, lots of young people, good vibe.

Some food is really yummy like the fried rice and others are good too. Some food is an acquired taste but overall it was a good place.

The teriyaki was, eh! The sauce was liquid. The sushi was very good.

Best Thai food in the state

I didn’t take a picture, we were too hungry. But had the double decker sushi roll and a noodle dish with chicken, broccoli and a sweet garlic sauce. It was all delicious and the service was great.

No, I don’t know how to make great Thai food, but I can make Thai food without bugs in it. I ordered the beef penne, curry, and it was surprisingly good until I saw two bugs in my food and immediately went to the bathroom to puke.

I love Garlic Thai!!! The food here is fantastic.

I've only had one issue and that was with my take out order last night. Ordered for four people and all came out fine with the exception of one meal. We had ordered the red curry but found out, once I got all the way home, that they had forgotten the rice that goes with the dish. So basically only gor a half of a dish.

The above issue was minor and I could have avoided it if I simply checked my order before leaving; however, the bag was completely stapled up and I didn't want to undo that. Like I said very minor issue and doesn't sway me from making a good recommendation - we all make mistakes some times.

Update - Four years later after making the above review and now outside of COVID (meaning dine-in now availabke), I'm still in love with Garlic Thai! My favorite dish is no longer on the menu but they will still make it for me when I ask for it.

This is quite literally the definition of a "hole in the wall" as the atmosphere is nothing special and is definitely not fine dining; however, the food and staff are always exceptional! My favorite place in Newnan!

I don’t usually review but because of the situation I decided to. I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened and even when I come to town, I go here. Today is the first time I found bug in the food. I originally found hair in it but ignored and started to eat. On the 3rd bite, found bug. I called the server who took the plate and server said they’ll make me new one. Second plate came only for the server and another person to come and tell me the bug was in my food because I was sitting outside ! No! The bug was inside the food. Server asked if I wanted to sit inside and I sit no. 2nd plate, I could not continue to eat and was offered a to go plate. While putting food back again, I started looking more in the food and started finding more hair and another bug.

I paid for the food and left. This would be my last visit. I originally was not going to review but to find multiple bugs and when I tell y’all, your response is that the bugs came in due to me being outside?

All the best to y’all but I hope the kitchen gets managed better.

My family enjoyed eating at Garlic. We went on a Saturday during lunchtime, and only had to wait a few minutes for our table. Our server was spot on for an questions we had, refills, and comedic relief. All of our meals were delicious. The place seemed to be quite a hot spot. I would definitely visit again.

This was possibly the best Thai food i have ever eaten. We loved the spice. We had three couples that chose to do a family style so we sampled 4 dishes. My favorite was the brisket coconut curry.

Fantastic thai restaurant located just outside Atlanta. My girlfriend and I found this place on a trip to Florida and the food was superb. I highly recommend the Thai Basil. The food was so good, we stopped here again on the way back from our trip!

Had the spicy Jungle curry and it was freaking amazing.

I got the yellow curry with shrimp and chicken and it was amazing. My mother and brother got the bbq chicken and they said it was good as well. The chicken was very juicy and the barbecue sauce was flavorful. The waitress was very friendly and informative so I would definitely come back here and eat again👍🏽

My husband and I have dined at this restaurant on several occasions. Today 6/28/24 we visited the restaurant and I ordered the egg rolls. Unfortunately, they were not good and I took one bite and my husband took one bite and advised our waiter. The restaurant REFUSED our request for a credit or refund even though we did not eat the Appetizer.

We have patronize this restaurant on numerous occasions and I am very disappointed that they could not make this right.

I haved worked in the hospitality industry over 25 years so I certainly understand that mistakes can happen. But it is the rebound that customers will remember and this I certainly will and will share with everyone that I come in contact with.

Celiac tested and approved. I had the chicken larb appetizer, a veggie sushi roll and salmon sushi roll, and the coconut brisket green curry chef specialty. Nothing made me sick, they even had gluten-free soy sauce. My waitress was very nice and did a great job for being the only waitress in the restaurant while I was there. The curry was amazing!!!

Rudy does such a good job with making our whole experience amazing. All the food we have ordered has been amazing. The Basil rolls, veggies roll , fried calamari, crab stuffed angels, the Hawaiian roll, and curry is the best! I’m a creature of habit but I stepped out and order the soft shell crab with green curry and it didn’t disappoint. We also ordered coconut sake and mango sticky rice. We even had some food to bring home which Rudy helped package nicely. The best by far in GA!

Very nice dinner with friendly and efficient service.I had the salad with steak,avocado,tomato,etc.It comes with a spicy lime dressing however,I had it with a ginger dressing.The food was fresh and presented nicely.Tiffany was our server,she was awesome.There were 6 of us and she gave us seperate checks.This takes additional time and organization.I appreciated her effort.

When we walked in we received a bunch of stares from other customers. Not sure why! We were greeted kindly. We were seated in the back of the

This was our first time visiting the restaurant and we do not live in the area. I order the Choo Chee Salmon with vegetable sushi. The food was good. They had a variety of dishes to choose from. If you enjoy small settings and cozy environment then this is the restaurant for you to try. Not to mention the weather was perfect for us. I did not order any drinks, so I cannot review the drink selection but they had quite a few options available. But overall my dining experience was great. The only issue I had was the stares, as if we didn't belong. But that was an instant perception which left once we were seated and served. We are not from the area, so I am not sure how the city people are in Newnan! But the restaurant was a great experience! Try it out🙂

I love the atmosphere. The service was exceptional! I’m beyond picky about restaurants that claim they’re authentic but I grew up eating southeast Asian fare and I’m more accustomed to the savory,slightly sweet flavors. Most places in the Atlanta area are popular but I can’t be too biased because,again I’m picky about seasoning. Garlic Thai was great! I had the beef salad requested medium rare which was perfect,a cup of coconut soup,and the Thai tea which taste housemade. This place is so convenient because I usually venture to a restaurant near my job,the Buford hwy area. I’m bringing my family with me next time!

Server was amazing and kind! Food came out surprisingly fast and was tasty. 10/10 - he gave free to go drinks before leaving.

I enjoyed my experience. The food was tasty. The staff seemed confused about what options they had. The person who took my order knew for sure. The tofu was batter-coated and fried. It was tasty but in combination with the fried rice, it was dripping with oil. The sweet n sour sauce was delicious but incredibly sweet.

We have been going here since we moved from nyc. Food is fresh, served hot. Their sushi is really good, try going at lunch so you can taste everything. Great customer service and waiters. Love the egg custard desert.

the Thai tea is a most really yummy, the dishes we got I don’t remember the name of the dishes hahaha, but all of them where great.

We went to Garlic Thai for my girlfriends mothers birthday dinner. This was my first experience with Thai cuisine and I was skeptical at first. I ended up going with a Brisket Thai Pad, which is Asian noodles in a peanut sauce with beef brisket. It was nothing like what I expected. Delicious noodles with the sauce much less peanutty than I anticipated and beef that literally fell apart like a slow cooked pot roast. Absolutely delicious. The waiter was awesome and the casual dining atmosphere was very pleasant. I highly recommend Garlic Thai to anyone who is (or isnt) looking for their first Thai experience.

It's the best Thai I've had in years. It was a central meeting place between Opelika, AL and Atlanta for my family to meet and enjoy a meal. We will definitely travel there again.

I love Garlic Thai. We had an amazing experience. Fast food great quality and amazing service. The coconut soup was a little sweeter than I'm used to I prefer more of a savory/spicy profile. That being said it was still amazing. I ordered for my entree the thai fried rice medium spicy with chicken. If your not to keen on spicy I suggest no spice. I ordered medium and it was really spicy but still yummy. The portions were phenomenal. I had to take some home and it was still good the next day. The calamari was tasty and cooked well but I wasn't crazy on the onion ring style batter they fried it in. Overall definitely going back.

I’m finally getting around to reviewing this place. I have no negatives. The food here is great I’m obsessed with the coconut soup, so much so I attempted to make my own at home ( epic fail) I guess they’ll still keep getting my money. Well I ahi tuna tacos are also as good. We also ordered the curry panag dish with brisket and sushi. Overall a 10!!!

The Pad Thai with tofu I ordered was unpleasant and of low quality. The peanuts were overcooked and lacked any taste, except for being excessively spicy. It was far from being an authentic dish.

Similarly, my son's drunken noodle with steak looked unappetizing and lacked flavor, except for an overpowering smell of basil.

This restaurant falls short of being an authentic Thai restaurant.

Furthermore, I had to wait for 45 minutes for my order without receiving any compensation for the delay.

Just a nice place to get some good Thai food. In the heart of downtown Newnan, no wait on a Friday night, but we were lucky to get the last empty table. There is a bar with draft beer, bottle beer and sake and wine. The service was great and the food was nice. They have vegetarian and vegan options. Their Thai hot is pretty hot! Tons of vegetables in the dishes which we like. Thanks!

Everything sounded delicious, it was hard to decide on entrees but he ended up with the brisket panang curry and I had the Kim chi fried rice. Both were delicious and very generous portions.
