Asian, Thai, and Japanese restaurant with a full bar. We offer Thai, Asian, and Sushi
Best Thai food in tallahassee! Tofu padthai and spring rolls for vegetarians as well as myriad other options. Classic basic Asian style restaurant atmosphere....I felt like I was in Chaing Mai...not inexpensive..$35 per person for a very generous serving.
I can only describe this place in a few words.. mind blowing, and next level come to mind. We had the spicy tuna roll and Hawaiian roll which were both perfectly fresh and flavorful and the combination of flavors on the Hawaiian were mind boggling. Their take on a fried green tomato was outrageously flavorful and paired perfectly with the crab meat and sauces it was topped with. I also had the Mongolian beef with pineapple fried rice with crab meat and all the flavors meshed well and took a very typical meal and made it very special. If you haven't tried them, make it a priority. This is by far one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while, maybe ever.
Went for a second time and the staff was very kind and accommodating. The food was still quite good, but I think more down to earth from the last experience. Still a fan of the tempura fried green tomatoes with crab on top. Great place to go when I'm in the area.
Very good food with the red curry shrimp and lobster sushi roll my favorite of the evening. The calamari was a bit over breaded but good as were the sauces it came with. The rice wine with mango was a sweet treat and you should give it a shot... FYI... high sugar content. The ambiance was ok, the wear and tear on the menues, furniture and tables starting to show its age with mothers day specials still posted... We will be back eventually. Enjoyed the meal. Service fairly quick and friendly. Total bill for 2 was $120
We really enjoyed our date night here! The server, Jason, was so wonderful and courteous. The tuna tartar was really good, and Jason brought out different spices so we could add heat to our liking. We got a bowl of vegetable Tom Ka to share, and I was so happy it really did have lots of veggies. Our dinner choices were also really good. The only complaint my husband had was that he would have liked some sauce on the crispy duck in his drunken noodles. My eggplant stirfry with soft shell crab was fab. We had the thai tea creme brule for dessert, and it was a perfect ending. Friendly staff, great food, good prices, and a nice date night atmosphere . I hope we can come back soon and try the pho!
Tom Ki is wonderful. Some of the best I have had. Be sure and get their Grilled Brussels Sprouts. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
Service, atmosphere, and most importantly, food, were all excellent. Our group had various soups, sushi, Thai, and an Indian eggplant special, and all were delicious.
This was our first visit and we loved it. Service was friendly, competent and attentive and the food freshly prepared and absolutely delicious.
We shared an appetizer of wings and a Super Red Dragon sushi roll. The wings were crispy, lightly salted and presented with slivers of fried jalapeno peppers, and the sushi roll light and delicate with a delicious mix of fresh tuna, veggies and nori. After that my husband had the ginger chicken and rice and I chose the drunken noodles topped with a delicious crispy half duck. Portions were generous, light, fragrant and bursting with fresh veggies.
This is a very reasonably priced local place for us and we will definitely be back.
I hadn’t been to Siam Bistro in ages. No reason in particular. Decided to try their new location since I can literally walk there. Absolutely did not disappoint. Best Asian north of I10.
Pros:
Food is amazing. You can taste the freshness and ingredients. Especially in those sauces. And the spring rolls are to die for. Sushi and sashimi were perfectly cut and prepared and plating was beautiful.
Also, service was on point. For being in that location for only a week you could tell they have good leadership and training because everything was very smooth and fast. Even after a big rush of tables, ticket times were very fast.
Cons:
The new location is very intimate. Read, not a lot of seats. And that’s fine. But this is not a location for a big group and once they are busy it’s filled immediately. Go early or call ahead. Great for a date night or double date though.

Can’t go wrong with the hurricane roll & basil fried veggie rice. Best sushi in tally! Excited for their big move!!!
Service, atmosphere, and most importantly, food, were all excellent. Our group had various soups, sushi, Thai, and an Indian eggplant special, and all were delicious.
Love this location nice atmosphere and the staff is not only friendly but knowledgeable keep up the good work
Always so yummy!
Justin was amazing!
I really wanted to like this place after hearing rave reviews. We waited an additional 20 minutes for our food and then I got food poisoning from the sushi the next day… will definitely not be returning.

First time there and was very pleased. The only comment I'd have, and this would pertain to almost every restaurant in America, is the size of the entrees. There was so much food on our plates that we'll be eating it again at home. I'd rather pay a little less and be able to finish my meal in the restaurant. Maybe offer choices of half or full size entrees.
Awesome people and food!
We were there and the service we got from our waiter was very undesirable He was not knowledgeable of certain items in the menu I requested for the lobster and asked if it was a 3 oz lobster and his response was no no no no no no it's much larger than that and what I got was a 3 lb lobster very, very disappointed!! Requested for no pepper in my food and our rice was for us extremely spicy service in serving our food was extremely slow people were coming in party of six and above and they were getting served before we were people that were seated at the same time as we were had been long gone before we even got our food, furthermore items that we asked for were never brought to us at the table although our waiter was very courteous he still had a thing or two about this trade of business. This I know all too well because I am a retired chef myself. I will not be coming back to this establishment ever again. When a customer specifies a specific restriction on their food it must be respected to the utmost That respect was not extended to your customer that evening. Another thing the place was extremely warm could have used air conditioning, could have used additional bathrooms especially women's bathrooms there were men going into women's bathrooms which is a big No-No and turn off for us. The lighting was way too low, I'm sorry I like to see what I'm eating not to guess what I'm eating this wasn't one of those in the dark restaurants, if that was the case we never would have chosen to come there. Needless to say our evening was wasted as well as our time and money
Best sushi in town, hands down! Excellent food and service! Very kind people. Be patient with them, as quality takes time.
Food is delicious; owners and wait staff are awesome!
Overpriced for the small quantity of food.
Sadly, this is another place we won’t be visiting any longer. 3/4 of our takeout order (the entire sushi part of the order) was not included in our bag. We drove an hour to pick up and bring back a box of fried rice and salads. Sayonara Siam Bistro.
The worst experience in Tallahassee so far. Food was bad, service was trying but still didn't do so well. Food took about 45 minutes and the rice was dry and noodles were overcooked. Never going back again.
Had a great meal eith great service. The portion size for the price was perfect.
Great food, prompt service and a super waiter.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Tallahassee!
Great Thai food and sushi. A bit pricey but worth it especially for special occasions or you really want some good Thai food.
Server had zero real recommendation or knew how to describe dishes we asked about prior to ordering. Wasn't very busy weeknight. As always the Tom Kha with shrimp was delicious and the sushi 🍣 . The steak was slices if very thin roast, not what one would expect from menu or server, but it was tasty. Overall, I still like tha place and ther server tried her best, but needs some training on how to help with recommendation.

I been to so many Thai restaurants in the past, but nothing compares to this. They have so much variety that they even custom make food. The servers are incredible and haven’t gave me an attitude every time I’ve went. And it’s not only the service, The food was unbelievable, the fried ice cream was mind blowing.
We found hair in my food, my child found hair in her soup. Tried to tell the manager, but she decided not to talk to us. 40 minutes later we decided to get up and talk to her and she started laughing about the situation. We travel an hour to come here and this is what we get. Never again.
Great for take out
delicious food, big portions, and great service!
Probably the best place to eat on the north side of Tallahassee, and it might not even be close. My wife and I have eaten here almost weekly for two years and have probably tried at least 30 different entrees between us. Everything we've had has been delicious. You could probably blindfold yourself and throw a dart at the menu, and still come away with a winner.
Eel, salmon, and red snapper nigiri/sashimi was good. I enjoyed the Godzilla roll. The Thomasville and Sunday Morning were my least favorites. My wife wasn’t impressed with any of the sushi.
This food does not taste like the Thai food I know. It tastes Americanized like a chain food place. There’s no depth to the flavors, our meals were very underwhelming. I will not be coming back. But, the prices were good.
Very mediocre. They don’t seem to have a clue as to what they’re doing. Cooking is more than reading off a recipe list and throwing it in a wok. There was no depth of flavor to their meals. The pad kee mow was missing key ingredients such as oyster and fish sauces, and the Thai food was bland overall, the antithesis of true Thai food. While bahn Thai and the place next to dominos seem to understand that cooking is an art, Siam has watered it down for mass consumption and lost any simulacrum of authenticity. Even the garlic had the life cooked out of it - everything can’t be thrown into the wok in the same order, and regarding the onions, burnt does not pass for mollification.
Had a great meal. Group of 9 and everyone enjoyed their choices. Server went above and beyond.
Fresh Ginger, hot, with just veggies and sub out rice noodles for the rice. It is so crunchy and delicious!
Great tasting Thai in Tallahassee!
The yellowtail roll was extremely poor quality. There wasn’t a solid piece of fish anywhere in it, just many little tiny scraps of sinewy fish gathered together. And it was bad tasting fish, didn’t seem fresh at all.
Who would have guessed that on a return visit almost 8 months later Tik, the proprietor (with her husband) would say "Nice to see you again, would you like the duck and eggplant special that you liked so much the last time?" And Dylan, our server, also remembered us. That speaks volumes about the people and translates to the quality of the food.
Attention to detail. Delicious flavors. As spicy as you want it.
Yes, it was as good as I remembered. As was the coconut soup and the the hamachi appetizer.
Will most certainly be back.
Best Thai we’ve eaten!
OML the miso soup, plus the hot sake, and the edamame, and also the salmon roll, all to die for. I've been to a lot of Asian cuisine locations but the miso is authentic and has a slightly smokey flavor which is impeccable.
I will absolutely be back, I ordered 8 tom kha soups to go, this place is the bees knees.
The happy hour and the indie video game music creates the best vibe. Def my fav place between Gainesville and Pensacola.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had really good sushi like this is a matter of fact I don’t know if I’ve ever had the sushi be this good in the world. I’m Asian I’ve had sushi all over the world. I probably will not ever go to another sushi bar in town. I will not eat tilapia and I’m very happy that they had snapper on mine plus Bluefin, bluefin, tuna. I was so pleasantly surprised to see the clam and the squid. The salmon was so fatty buttery delicious. If you haven’t tried this place you must.
Best appetizer is the fried green tomatoes with spicy crab. You won't be disappointed!
Maybe I'm just a food snob and picky. Before Thai food became popular I was eating it at a mom and pop place outside of Ft Meade and I really dislike Americanized versions of it. The staff was good so not taking away from them. Just don't dumb down the food for me and give me the real stuff.
We returned a year later for dinner in Oct. 2023 and enjoyed the crispy duck in red curry and the Indian eggplant with fried tofu as much as before. Our server, Dillon was very pleasant. Only the panko fried oyster appetizer was unusual in that the oysters remained completely uncooked within their deep fried coatings, and rather strongly tasted of the sea. Other than this, we enjoyed our visit and will return in future. We spent about $80 for two entrees, an appetizer and a Thai tea.
The best place to eat Thai Food, Quality Food, Best Green Curry with Kafir Lime Leaves. Everything on their Menu is great. Great service, nice/kind people. Try once & you will get hooked. We live 70 miles away & still go there because of the satisfaction of their food.
Great service from Dillan who was a great server. We had the Mongolian beef with pineapple rice , very big portion enough for 3 people. And appetizers were average, but the Arnold Parmers and the main dish were awesome, and this was our first time visiting. We will return.😉
I’ve been to Siam Bistro on several occasions. The sushi is excellent, but the protein I choose for my entree always has an off taste to it. The Pad Thai always has way too much rice noodles and very little sauce. The filet was very dry and overcooked. I’ll just stick to the sushi or just get vegetables instead of meat.
Great sushi rolls, edamame, and tom kha soup!
My first visit, my server was very helpful, polite and knowledgeable about all dishes. Prices were reasonable, great lunch specials. My food was great, will be going back, what a Gem in north tallahassee.
Siam bistro is consistently good! You know you will get a great meal and good service. It's definitely one of the recommended spot for Thai.
Great Thai food, plenty of curry options that are all great. Service is excellent!
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Siam Bistro. The food looked very appealing with this different colors and textures for what you've been served to the area. The aroma was very enticing and the taste of the food was authentic. Your are served an amble amount of food for a resonable price.
I came for homemade wonton soup. Fir some reason I've been craving it. This is the best I've found in town. Nice flavorful broth and fat homemade dumplings!
The sushi was good too.
Friends who frequently dine here suggested this place for dinner one evening. I was quite impressed. The atmosphere, service, and food are all very good. I had the Fresh Garlic Thai dish with Crispy Duck and was very pleased with the meal. My buddy had the same but with chicken and his wife had the Teriyaki Chicken w/ Fried Rice and they both had apps. We all enjoyed the food. Service was great and the food came out quickly even though it was a Friday evening at 6pm. I'm looking forward to trying more of their dishes.
Highest quality miso soup and salad compared to any other Asian restaurant we’ve been to in the Tallahassee area, and we have many favorites. Even the water with lemon didn’t taste chlorinated. We had sushi and the poke bowl and everything had amazing flavor! Our waiter was Ethan and he was very attentive and friendly, overall highly recommend and will be coming back!
Wow, just left there, and are we stuffed! Also happy that we FINALLY found a good Asian restaurant. We live in Georgia, but come to Tallahassee often to shop, and we will definitely be hitting this place up again. The service was great and the food was delicious, came out quickly and piping hot. We had sushi, made to order and very fresh, the cream cheese egg rolls are not to be missed. Entrees were great too, the drunken noodles were on point as was my wife’s teriyaki steak. The meat was cooked as ordered, tender and juicy. The only problem we had was our fault, we bit into the egg rolls before we let them cool enough and burned our tongues, but they smelled so good we couldn’t wait. Nice clean place, including sushi bar, reasonably priced for the amount of food, (we had plenty left over to take home), and plenty of menu options. Will definitely be back.
Very authentic flavors often too much so. Allot of people don't expect fish sauce in their pad thai and such. But I've enjoyed everything I've gotten here.
First time there. Food was very good. Katie our server was top notch. She continued checking back making sure everything was good.
Food was good. Service was good. Will have to try other menu items too.
We enjoyed the food. The lady eating behind the sushi bar, threw us off a little bit but whatever. Took a minute for us to get refills and the mixed drinks are done so with that Nasty plumb wine. I would not recommend the martini that is made with plum wine but the panang curry was great!
Delicious food and fantastic service I got the Siam Roll and it was perfection. Our server was extremely friendly. I am a picky eater yet no request is too much. Everything was offered and done with a smile.
met with bookclub. chicken teriyaki was excellent and had PLENTY to take home! service included regular checks!
This place is awesome! Went for anniversary and had a great time. The food is amazing, including the sushi AND the hot food. We had the Lobster Bomb 2 ways and the Pad Woon Sen and everything was great. Service is awesome and super friendly and the owners are some of the best in town.
Great little place. Food was fresh and tasty. Was understaffed and slow to get food and bus table.
Excellent sushi. Godzilla roll is my favorite. It's like dessert.
Good food and good service. Price is a little high but what isn't today?
Great place. Food and service were exceptional
Best Thai food ever. Love the red curry!
Delicious ginger with shrimp.
The food here is always awesome. I try something different every time.
The thai food here is legit. I came for the green curry and was not disappointed. Can't wait to go back. Xoxo
My husband and I were looking forward to trying this place after reading the reviews but we were very disappointed with our dinner. The tuna roll was just a tiny piece of tuna with a lot of rice wrapped in seaweed paper. Awful. So we tried the California roll and it wasn’t any better. It didn’t look anything like the pictures. The fried rice tasted pretty good so that’s why I gave them a 2. Maybe they’re better at the other types of food but we didn’t try it and we don’t plan to.
Delicious food. Great service.
Good portions.
I eat there regularly
We ordered a variety of food for takeout! Everything was absolutely exceptional, I can not believe we’ve never tried this place sooner!! Do yourself a favor and try this fantastic Thai Cuisine !!
Always amazing food service is hot or cold depending on the night
I've been eating at Siam for years and have never had a bad meal or experience. This restaurant is good all the time and with an extensive menu you'll never get tired of eating at Siam Bistro.
Siam Bistro has lots of gluten free options, including pad Thai and red chicken curry. Their sushi is also great. The staff is always friendly and helpful and it's easy to order carry out.
Sorry no photos, but kudos! Stopped in for an early dinner what a great experience. Atmosphere and service was excellent. The Sushi portions were fresh plentiful well garnished and delicious. In an era where it is hard to find a restaurant that meets expectations Siam Thai restaurant does this and more. The entre; Chicken Sticks and Fried Rice was flavorful textures great and my pet peeve what the right temperature (hot).
Everything about this place was great. I've had better Thai food that's why they got a 4 but the food was still very good.
This was delicious 😋 and the service was amazing.
This place is outrageously good. I've been here twice now. I have now tried: tremendous miso soup with beech mushrooms, the second best calamari I've ever had (and I've had a lot of calamari), huge sticks of satay with great peanut sauce, and THE SALMON PLATTER. I don't know if we just came on a great day but the salmon itself was perfect.
The only thing I didn't like so far was the phad Thai, but I'm excited to try other things. Maybe the pho next.
Just walked in for the first time and stood at door for several minutes, one worker made eye contact with us several times but no one came to greet us, offer help or anything! We left, not wasting my money here.
I went there with friends and we shared the dishes. The pad Thai and fried rice was good. I have had better green curry before. Service was good too.
The food is fresh and tasty. I will be going back. Great value for lunch.
Food was great and the service was wonderful. Will definitely be back.
So good
Always good food! One of our favorite Thai restaurants.
Very good food with the red curry shrimp and lobster sushi roll my favorite of the evening. The calamari was a bit over breaded but good as were the sauces it came with. The rice wine with mango was a sweet treat and you should give it a shot... FYI... high sugar content. Consistently great pick-up experience. Great dishes and sushi. Always a family favorite!
Thank you for having the Unconquered Scholars family!
Great, authentic food and excellent service.
This place is unbelievably terrible. It is average to below average Japanese/Thai/Chinese and the prices are like it is is five star. I cannot believe what I got for these prices. I've had cheaper take out in virtually any other city for 10x the quality.
Hidden away in a little store front is this amazing gem! Great atmosphere, with a plethora of amazing dishes to chose from!
Great food, nice people
Great food and staff were very attentive. The food was more than enough for one person.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. Sushi is delicious and well priced. I had a little wait today (was crowded) and they very nicely invited me a drink. Really well run place!!
Food was good. I ordered the food with medium heat. I barely felt any spiciness. I would recommend getting hot or thai hot. The menu didn't have any info on the soft drinks availability, had to ask the waiter if they serve soft drinks such as soda / tea.
Katie was one of the best servers I've ever had!
Great lunch specials!
Be nice if they would pick up their phone.
Very tasty
I have been here several times the service has always been exceptional and the sushi tastes really fresh the egg rolls are very good as well.
I wish we found this place years ago! I feel like it's really hard to find Thai fried rice that has that nice sweetness to it, but this place nails it right on the head. Wonderful sushi, huge portions, and very friendly staff, too. Even though it's a little bit north of town, it's well worth the drive!
Great place to eat. Good food. Love that it's in the neighborhood.
Never would have gone here; but few co-workers went for lunch and I decided to tag along. I most say this was a delight. Everything was very delicious and well cooked. I had a General Tso chicken lunch special which came with broccoli and white rice. I'm not a fan of plain white rice so I substituted for fried rice. Fried rice was some of the best I've tasted.
I would have given it 5 stars, but it took over an hour to get my food. Overall I must say it was worth the wait though.
Really like this place. Always get a good meal here. Service was a little slow last visit though.
Food was hot and tasty. Staff was friendly and generous.
Good service good food good prices
Good food, my favorite place for Thai food.
Ate here for the first time a few days ago and I have had such great food! We were absolutely in love with the environment and food!
Best Thai place in town, Bistro>Sushi, they are not the same establishment
This place is always nice and clean With a great ambience. The food is amazing.
Again and again, they keep hitting a home run. My favorite Thai place!
Consistently good sushi; perfect for a night out or catered party. The snapper carpaccio, Panang Curry Filet, and Siam Bistro roll are our favorites.
Have only done curbside so can't speak to the inside dining experience, but the sushi is great. Gyoza appetizer is also fantastic
Great place to eat very nice servers
Pad thai was awesome! Comfortable but not huge portions. Lunch special is good prices, but outside 11-2 the food is more expensive! Clean inside, good service.
Delicious food. Pleasant atmosphere.
First visit was great. Loved the food. People here are nice. Will be back for more. It is clean and feel safe here. Not too busy and not too vacant. Just right. They do make some very nice food here.
Legit.
Siam Bistro has a great menu and I eat there several times a month. I love the Nam Tok salad more than words can say. I also recommend duck in just about anything. I have not really sampled the sushi menu, but need to.
I can only describe this place in a few words.. mind blowing, and next level come to mind. The worst! Had to wait 2 hours for terrible food. It's bad and overrated.
Best sushi and Thai food in town
Always great food and service!
I ordered a Posiden Roll 30 minutes in advance. I arrived at the establishment and I was told that I was the order right behind the other order. Additionally, it would take 5-10 extra minutes. After waiting an extra 30 minutes and three other customers receiving their to go orders, I questioned the lady at the front desk. She told me that the cook was still preparing the order. When I received my rolls it was very disappointing. It was dry, rubbery, and the eel sauce was too thick. These rolls cost $19. Would not reccomend. Find another place.
The sushi here was amazing! The Miami Vice is a cucumber wrapped sushi instead of rice. I had never tried it before and liked it. I also ordered the King Kong roll. That one was delicious. Lots of fish and mango, asparagus, and avocado. My wife got a spicy tuna roll that was a happy hour sushi and therefore was less expensive. She also got the Siam roll. It, too, was delicious. All we are there was sushi, so if you need a new sushi place to try, go to Siam Bistro.
T made my lobster bomb, hubby had chicken teriyaki and we split the best Calamari around here. Service was great. 5*
We have eaten there many times and the food was good but the other night it was terrible. I was sick all night into the next day. Don't think we will be going back. Told waiter food tastes bad but he told us it was ok and it was just the sauce. WRONG food poisoning.
