Food was excellent! Ordered hibachi at the booths instead of in front of you with our group. Service was kind of slow at times and a few items were missing when delivered, however, the sushi was fresh tasting and delicious! Overall, will be back! P.S. the passion fruit green tea is 👍🤩
We were down visiting family and had dinner there and it was the best Hibachi food I’ve ever had, hands down with arguably the best hibachi chef, Thomas, I’ve ever seen! He was fun and did some tricks we hadn’t seen before along with preparing incredible food. Steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Fried rice was spot on. Veggies cooked perfectly. And great service from our waitress as well! My 5 year old loved it and is still talking about it today! I highly recommend it!

New Sushi and Habachi restaurant. Only open a couple of months. Our first visit today and very pleased. Looking forward to our next meal there. Food is fresh, plentiful and very good. Presentation of the food is very nice. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Owner was pleasant to talk with. Try it I think you will enjoy it.
By far, the best hibachi I ever had! Seasoned perfectly and fresh. The steak is very tender, and the sushi is so fresh and flavorful as well. The staff feels like family and very accommodating and the prices very reasonable. This will be my regular place to go from now on. I highly, highly, suggest you try it soon.

The waitress was nice, the atmosphere was very nice. It was nice and bright and clean looking. The food however wasn't really what we expected. The noodles in the Ramen were really over done and mushy. The sushi rolls weren't that good either, they were luke warm. Publix is better. The krab Rangoons were my favorite part! Also the dishes that are pre set at the table were all dirty so we didn't use them. The new owner is very nice but the food really needs rethinking.

Grateful we were seated away from hibachi area..it was loud, food came out out of order, very very mediocre food, crispy honey chicken had no flavor and was overcooked, spring rolls, crab Rangoon and gyoza were not great, gyoza had an odd flavor and dipping sauce looked and tasted like nothing more than jarred duck sauce. California rolls were good, sashimi was okay but didn’t look like any high grade fish. Would not eat here again. Service was good but not outstanding.
I hear they've been under new management for maybe three months. They might have a few more kinks to work out. But they're very close.

Delicious! Our chef was spectacular, friendly, creative & interactive with everyone. Even had some activities we hadn't seen before in a hibachi restaurant. Our waitress was on top of all our needs, even before we asked & was so sweet!
Excellent change, Fuji has a new owner that renovated the restaurant and upgraded the food. The quality is so much better!

They don't saturate their food with oil, it's very fresh and the best hibachi between Ocala and The Villages combined.

I took my 4 year old here for our weekly fancy date and could not have asked for a better experience! Staff was beyond exceptional! Very personable and kind! The food is phenomenal!!! We ate there and got some sushi to go!!! Highly recommend! A great restaurant all around!

Recognized the store from parking lot after coming to area to eat Mexican. I see a Grand Opening banner on front window and got excited to eat some fresh Japanese food for lunch. Stepped inside and folks the rest is history. Atmosphere fresh, new and bright and then the real reason we came , FOOD ! Absolutely the most horrifying experience in a Japanese restaurant in my life time. I clearly do not understand why persons open a building and put a sign on the front with no plan of how they are going to operate. Will not be going back and I’m really hoping this young man ( manager ) will find himself a different way of making a living.
2nd time here. First time was mediocre. This last time was a disaster. Never going back. One hibachi table was filled and then maybe 5 other customers. We walked in and a couple up front at hostess stand left...other people started leaving. Should've been first clue. We said 3 for hibachi. Hostess went behind sushi bar to talk to someone, came out and seated us. We told her our 3 drinks, we received 2. Never got menus. We see her running around frantically but doing nothing. 10 minutes later we see a cook come out not knowing where any of the food goes. We left the money for our drinks that were received and left. Never got menus or service other than being seated. When we got up to leave that's the only time we were noticed. Never again. They need to get their act together.

The best sushi hibachi place in the area hands down. It won't blow your socks off compared to really good places in larger cities but around here they are way ahead of the competition. We have been here many times now and the quality is always solid.
Service is fantastic. We went here just after hurricane Milton while the power was off for so many of us. They were slammed but still managed to provide excellent customer service. The staff were on point despite being extremely busy. So many places get sloppy as they get busy, but the food was still excellent and the staff still friendly.
Lost a star from the last time we were here. Don't have the ingredients for the drinks on the menu. The waitress filling in as bartender. And never came back to ask if we needed anything else.

We came in for lunch on Saturday, it wasn't super busy so wasn't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was super tasty, I ordered the spicy tuna roll which was very fresh, the rest of my party enjoyed the crab rangoon, gyoza, and a miso and clear soup. I would definitely come again to try their hibachi. The wait staff were very attentive coming back multiple times throughout to check on us.
First of all ever since they opened back up their prices are higher than every Japanese steakhouse in the area. I forgot about that or I wouldn't have gone today. Instead I picked up a Yellow Tail roll and a Philadelphia roll. Both of them look like I made them at home with the kids. Sloppy looking kind of like too big falling apart huge chunks of cream cheese and cucumber so all you taste is rice and cream cheese and cucumber. Really no other flavor was recognizable. I ate one bite of each roll and stuffed it in the refrigerator hoping that somebody else at my house would eat it. I'm never going there again. I recommend vki in Sumter Landing it's been my favorite for like 10 years.
Waiters forgot our apps we ordered, they kept forgetting our orders. And the portions are extremely small. We barely got any rice with our food. Cheif also forgot our order and had to cook it in the back to bring it out. Also the Boba tea I ordered HAD NO BOBA IN IT AT ALL and it was warm?! Never had warm Boba tea and I get it all the time from other places.
We first got a waitress that did not speak a word of English. She couldn’t understand us very well, and we didn’t understand her at all. We also ordered it was a party plate with six rolls which seem to be good at the time. But the minute we arrived home And all morning of the next day I’m vomiting from dinner. I don’t think the sushi was very fresh. And I should’ve known when we pulled into the parking lot. There were barely any cars we walked in. There was another couple eating at hibachi and we were the only ones , the sit down side definitely will not be going back
Placed an online order and there appeared to be a mix up but my order wasn’t placed. The person who appeared to be management swiftly stepped in to accommodate me.
The inside is BEAUTIFUL all the staff are super friendly! Definitely will visit again 😻

It's very nice when you walk threw the door. Immediately noticed the bartender was struggling with her drink orders. We sat a a hibachi table after waiting 15-20 minutes waters finally showed up. The table next to ours chef started cooking. After seeing just of white fried rice and noodles and only receiving water and not placing an order we left.

Food was average at best. We were there a a group and the service was horrible. One server for over 20 people. I won’t go back myself. Better places to spend my dining out budget.

The re-opening is amazing. It's not just a place for hibachi anymore... It's the best damn Japanese restaurant around. Boba tea, a generous serving and delicious. The ramen feels expertly crafted and a heaping portion. The sushi absolutely BLOWS away the nearby competition. I tried the green curry, and was amazed at how intricately they perfected the taste of it. The sweet, taste of potatoes against the fiery spice of the sauce is a wonder of this world you must try.
That's just the food! The atmosphere is completely changed. It's modern. It's well light, bright colors yet at night it feels like a venue off the main street of Japan. The music!! I felt like I was playing the game Yakuza. It actually plays music representing a Japanese restaurant. No villager music, no country, no elevator chime music, no weird chi energy waterfall music... Just Japanese soundtracks that feel completely genuine to the environment.
The staff is warm and welcoming, with the chef coming out to ask how he did. (Amazing btw).
I don't care what issues or misconceptions you had with the old Fuji's... But this new one is completely turned around, and you must give it a shot.

Our first experience of a sit down japanese steakhouse ...the prices very reasonable the portions are insane ...the chef was hilarious and very skilled this is the greatest dining experience.. the drink service was awesome always full cup ...the flavors were awesome if you love japenese cuisine you must give this place a try
I got the vegetable udon soup to go as a pick up order. I’ve never had such a great preparation of an udon/ pho soup. It was super hot, very flavorful, and really delicious! I live close by and will definitely get food here again! I also saw a sign for $4 margaritas all day everyday! Did not try one, but will be back after a long day at work to with friends sometime!
New ownership and it’s such an improvement. The food isn’t weighed down with sauce. It’s done lightly. New floor tiles, hoods and tables. It’s so nice now. Definitely will be returning. We did the hibachi and sushi. Both were very good.

Just recently opened, so everything is new and super clean. Attentive and professional service. There are several hibachi tables and stove tops. We ate a hibachi lunch at a regular table. The food was very good. We both had a combination of steak and shrimp and enjoyed it. Even the veges were good. I believe this Steakhouse will be competitive with others in the local.
We visited Fuji yesterday for the first time since their remodeling and reopening. The last time we visited was 13 years ago and while the food was acceptable then, the restaurant and the staff seemed well-worn.
Yesterday's lunch however was a completely different experience! The new design is very clean and up-to-date, well appointed, with a very pleasing atmosphere. The staff was bright and inviting and we were promptly seated at our choice of booths (Hibachi and regular tables are available also). Our server was Joseph, a young man with a big smile who made us feel at home and took care of every need quickly. Although the restaurant has only been reopened a couple of weeks, he was very familiar with the entire menu. Two family members joined my wife and I a few minutes after we had been seated and he handled the whole experience with professionalism, keeping up easily with our beverage and appetizer ordering..
My sister-in-law and her husband had hot tea which they said was very good. My wife had water with lemon and I ordered hot sake which was excellent and an ample serving. For appetizers we had tempura vegetables, Gyoza, and the JB Tempura Roll. Nice size servings of each and the flavor and cooking could not have been better. The roll was especially delicious, made even more so as the roll was sliced and then each piece battered in tempura separately.
I ordered the House Special Ramen which was delivered in a huge bowl brimming with delicacies in a tasty pork broth with just the right amount of noodles. I am a hearty eater but I could not finish it all. Everyone else had an hibachi dinner. It was served with the traditional miso soup and salad topped with a very nice ginger dressing. Each dinner included fried rice with stir-fried vegetables. My wife had steak and shrimp, my sister-in-law steak and chicken, while my brother-in-law had just the chicken. I sampled everything my wife had and it was wonderful. The table was unanimous that we had enjoyed an outstanding meal.
The pricing was very reasonable for a Japanese steakhouse and we all agreed that Fuji would be our first choice for that cuisine going forward. They have an expansive menu, so on our next few visits I am planning to treat my pallet to some variety.
If you are in the Summerfield/Villages area, you owe yourself a visit to the new Fuji. I believe you will be as delighted as we were. All of the waitstaff seemed attentive but I would certainly ask for Joseph if he had a table available.
Unless you're tall, the seats for hibachi are low, leaving you needing extra cushions.
Waitress said they don't have cucumbers to put in a glass of water, but cucumbers are mentioned in like 5 dishes. Spicy crab roll was not at all spicy. Aloha roll tasted of nothing but cream cheese. Other sushi rolls were ok. Beer was good.
We used to come to Fuji all the time, It was our go to for hibachi, We were upset when they closed. When we heard that they reopened under a new owner and remodeled we had to come. We tried it out tonight and it is way better than before. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. Our hibachi chef was fantastic. And the food was even better. We will definitely be back and are happy that we have our hibachi place back.

We just had dinner at Fuji in Summerfield. New ownership, we thought we would give it a try. Appetizer came out after our dinner. I had the scallops that were bay scallops, chewy tough and not very good. My wife had the shrimp with noodles and rice and said that the Shimp were good. the waiter offered us a tempura sushi, that my wife had, and said it was the best thing we had tonight. really can't compare it with Sakura, they are a cut above Fuji.
Unable to order to go online. Called to place order. First 2 items listed on take out menu not available Thai and fried. Changed order. Spicy Tuna roll very fishy taste and smell. Not edible. Smallest portions ever on hibachi dinners. Not sure of return visit. Jury still out
They are back open with new owners. The inside is updated and much cleaner. The food has WAY more flavor. So much fun with the chefs trying to get you to catch is zucchini with your mouth to pouring sake in your mouth from behind the cooker. NY Steak and chicken $22. NY steak and shrimp $23.50. They really cared about how your meal was. We will be frequenting more often.

The new Fuji steakhouse is absolutely the worst Japanese Steakhouse in town. Food has no flavor and let's not talk about the portions you get for $25 plus a plate, it's smaller than a kids meal. I had them take my food back and will never return. It's a shame because they cleaned the place up pretty nice and the servers where nice but the price and quality of food is definitely not it for this economy!
We had a decent time. Our cook wasn't the best at putting on a "show" he tried, though. The food was okay. I've had better experiences there, though.

This used to be a place I would go with my friends and family all the time before I closed and was skeptical when I saw that it was being remodeled and reopened. But to my surprise, the place has improved greatly! The the prices you are very fair for the amount of food you receive, and the taste is amazing! And the staff is very friendly and professional. My server Kyra was very kind and professional.
Fuji Sushi & Hibachi has reopened under new ownership and is conveniently located right next to Sweet Alps Ice Cream. The restaurant is modern and clean, offering a wide selection of Sushi, Hibachi, Ramen, Thai, and Boba Teas. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. I will definitely be coming back!

Food has always been phenomenal, but lately they never answer their phone during operating hours, they answer then hang up, or you get the message "this number has been disconnected". Shame Kobe's isn't closer because this place was great for the food, but after covid they stopped giving a flip about CS

I would give no stars if I could. There was 1 waiter trying to wait on the whole resteraunt. We waited 1 hour for our food. It was awful all of it. The cook came and asked how did it taste I said it was terrible. He said well that is what you ordered. Worse japenese food Ive ever eaten. My daughter didnt eat hers either. I had steak she had chicken. We sat at a table. When we got our food it looked like someone had just thrown up noodles. Rices, vegetables & meat in a plate all mixed together. Paid $50 for 2 people to eat horrible food. Waitress came in and was going to be the only one, be ause the waiter was waiting on her so he could leave. Will never go back or recommend.
So we have been here before ... Heard there was new management or owners and you can tell. There was 5 people still dining at 1 table and 3 leaving. We waited to be sat...? Ok then once sat at an empty table they place us 2 on the side and 1 infront of flat top grill. So I said can we all sit here infront of the grill. She said no... its community seating. So doesn't that mean sit openly where seats are available? Then it just continued down hill from there. The other 2 male employees we speaking to each other and laughing in their language right there infront of us. It was handle in such an unprofessional way I lost my appetite. We decided to leave and didn't place our order and will not be back if that's how they are going to continue to treat the guest that they desperately need. By the way it was my bonus daughters bday dinner we were trying to celebrate. We are going all the way to Tony's sushi in Ocala now. We are never unsatisfied and always treated well and feel appreciated by Tony's employees and owners!!!

Wanted to place a togo order. Was hung up on, then they left the phone off the hook. When I arrived to PLACE MY ORDER I was told it will be over an hour and thats why they left the phone off the hook. This place has definitely gone down hill. Sucks I have been going here for over 15+ years. I miss the old owners.

We waited over an hour for our food that arrived cold. Two cooks with only three tables sat. The waitress was very good so it wasn’t her fault in the least. For a restaurant to not be busy it should have only taken 20 min at the most to get three plates of food not an hour and a half. The cooks do whatever they want in the time frame they want even after the waitress asked what was taking so long. We ordered a side plate of gyoza and the chefs told the waitress that they refused to make them and the sitters had to make them herself even though she isn’t one of the cooks. Needless to say we will not be back due to the entitlement of the chefs. By the time we were done eating our food we could have been on our way to go do something else that we had already planned but it set us back two hours.

Been eating here for last 10 years. The last 2 times this year food is very good but the chefs have no personality, after checking your order they don't talk , no jokes. No fancy knife butterfly shrimp. Not the same place as it was. Will star looking for new restaurants.

It was my burthday & my 2 daughters treated me 2 dinner. It was very good & Paul was very courteous & enjoyed his proficiency with the knives, thank heaven. It was a lot of fun.

I had the #15 - Filet Mignon Hibachi & Diet Coke, And my husband had the #14 - NY Steak, Chicken, & Shrimp Hibachi & Raspberry Iced Tea. The onion soup & salad were both very favorable. The Filet Mignon was tender & cooked perfectly. Our compliments to the chef!

Great food and huge portions! Our gal Cill took great care of us! They even did the birthday gong for our sons 17th bday and made him feel special with some ice cream!
Food was amazing and most deffentitly get your money's worth. Cost was reasonable. The place needs a face lift and cleaned well ! Carpets were sticky!

We went in for lunch yesterday and the hostess doesn’t like to answer questions directly but I won’t get into that. I’ve been coming here for years and when I say years, since 2001. As we made our order, I noticed the hostess who also is a cashier says,” lunch comes with rice and veggies and either soup or salad. When I asked her about the noodles, she explained that the noodles came with the Early Bird. We didn’t come for the Early Bird. She didn’t offer to tell us how much more noodles would be with the lunch but it probably would take the lunch to dinner price. All I can say is this lady was not nice enough to listen to her customers, she just don’t know how to shut her mouth to hear her customers and it came across as rude and I felt she had an attitude. Even my 12 yr old felt she had an attitude. I also tried to talk to the owner but I don’t know if he understands English but he could be stressed out because he didn’t have customers. The place was deserted at 2:00 in the afternoon except for my family and I. I understand they changed the lunch menu but I don’t have to eat there when I can go down the road and get more for less and people with better customer service and attitudes. I will be telling my entire family to take their business elsewhere. To the owner,” Please make some more changes to keep your business open, it went down hill fast. Don’t take what your 20 year customers say to heart. Take it as constructive criticism and get your business on track. Good luck!

I'm extremely disappointed, this used to be such a good place to eat and I never had problems before when I let them know ahead of time about seafood allergies when we used to go awhile ago. The chefs used to keep my food from cross contamination... and kept it separate. However, this last visit the chef knew about the allergy and acknowledged it but put scallops with the chicken.
Then the chef took the plate and just put the scallops on another plate leaving the chicken still on the old plate that had scallops on it. Unfortunately, my health is important so I had to leave without food. It wasn't worth the risk of having to use my epi pen. The waiter and waitress were understanding and were awesome.
This place unfortunately has definitely gone downhill.. we use to LOVE this place. Food was great and staff was like family! This New staff is rude, very slow service and food is no longer all that great.
I understand.. especially now.. help is hard to get. But… you can’t expect customers to be ok with already waiting 45min to cook to only to find out they haven’t even started to cook your meal… then expect an additional 45min to wait. This has been an ongoing issue… They were not busy they had a few customers… The place also feels and looks dirty. Sigh… we have a lot of very good memories with family & friends it’s a shame… the past few times I have gone it’s been disappointing.
Hopefully it turns around.
I've been here 4 times now and each visit did not disappoint. The food is fantastic and it is never crowded. So I get a seat right away. Best Hibachi in the city.
We went to eat as a family and were waiting on two people, so we were told we could not be sat yet. We completely understood, but the hostess was extremely rude about it. The outside of the restaurant smelled very chemical and it was dirty inside. When we inquired about the early bird special, the menu said it went until 6 but we were told it now ends at 5 and we could not get it. We decided not to eat at the restaurant for these reasons.
Excellent food! The chef at our grill table was entertaining and funny. He did the silly onion volcano trick that somehow I always love. The portions are pretty large, so we always come home with a box of food for at least one other meal each. That makes Fuji a great value as well.
I was extremely dissatisfied with the service at this place. They were extremely slow and nonchalant. There was also something floating in my soup. When I went to pay, they acknowledged me and then took the people behind me. I would not recommend
We ate sushi and sushi me and the Shishimi was warm and it was OK good sized portions good sized slices but it should have in my opinion should have been colder. With a $29 dinner for just shishimi we got Clear soup no salad.
I have never had such a bad experience! No coordination between the employees. Waited way to long for bad service and paid too much for an experience that was not even enjoyable!!!! Seriously. Cooked the servers food with ours and ripped us off of our food. The whole experience was a cluster of wth! Would never go back.
