Pricing for a bowl of Tom kha Gai soup was a complete rip off! 10.50 for a small bowl. 11.50 for 8 pieces of spicy tuna with rice- this sucked so bad I had to ask for tempura flakes to make it a little bit better. This place has lousy pricing for what they provide you, and no way they can blame food pricing has gone up. As a frequent traveler I've seen way better pricing / value options elsewhere. Didn't get pictures of the other entrees but they were pathetic as well. My business is elsewhere

I have been going to Sushi Yama for well over 4 years and they have by far the best sushi I have found in Martin county. Their rolls are expertly made with quality ingredients. They also have a variety of Thai and Japanese noodle and soup dishes that are amazing. Plus they are very affordable and have great customer service. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for sushi in Martin County.

OMG! The best sushi, the best service and a great atmosphere. I would drive 35 miles each way to eat here without any hesitation. The boat of sushi that you see was what two of us had and it was so good we ate it all along with appetizers and dessert. I’d give this place six stars if I was able. We even kept the receipt with the names of what we ordered so awls we have to do is take it in and say we want the same thing again. What a treat! By the way, here is what we ordered on this boat:

This place was awful! From its location, to atmosphere, service and subpar food; we will never go back and recommend others look for other options. We were the only ones in there, no one greeted us or came over for quite a while. Food was not good and overpriced for the quality. Spent way too much money for such a terrible experience. Please find somewhere else to go! I feel terrible writing this, but it was such a waste!

Service was just OK. Been there about 3 times .. It has never been great.. but went back because of location. Sushi didn’t taste as fresh this last time. Prices were standard but since it did not meet my expectations- I thought it was overpriced. Cloth napkins had an odor of humidity.. so they were very stinky. I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

The best sushi takeout I’ve ever had. This place is great all around. Large sized specialty sushi rolls and fresh individual sushi at reasonable prices. We will continue to only order our sushi from here as long as we are in the area. Get the lobster roll you won’t regret it!

We frequent this restaurant regularly, and tonight I was impressed by not only the food, but the service. The service is typically great, however tonight was the best yet. The server was quick to let us know sushi orders would take a while. He got our drinks and appetizers out in a timely manner. Before and after our food came out, he kept checking on us and making sure everything was ok. The busser made sure to keep dishes clear and check on us as well. Definitely recommend.

Let me start by saying the food is delicious. I've been there multiple times. but this time needs to be addressed especially by the Manager/Owner. Most sushi places when you order a deluxe sashimi dinner comes with soup AND salad. This one didn't and when we expressed we were looking forward to both were told sorry....Ok fine....we order the soup but the waitress brought out a salad by mistake and instead of saying don't worry about it she took the salad off the table and but it on the dirty table where it was thrown out in the bus tub. So you would rather throw it out then make a customer happy? ... Again fine .....but when the manager/owner's family came in (party of 12) after us and we waited 45 minutes for our food but her family got plates of sushi. She came to our table and proceeded to tell us that it was for the baby (really the baby is eating plates of sushi) so we left hungry because after finishing our meal we wanted more but wasn't going to wait again. Will we come back?? Not sure

The food was very good, service top notch, and great intimate dining with a good selection of music. They remade food that was just a touch too spicy for free even though it was our fault. Very kind of them! Will definitely come by again.

I will not eat here again. I ordered chicken pad thai and the noodles were dry and had very little flavor. It tasted like it was cooked hours earlier and thrown in the microwave when I ordered it. It was by far the worst thai food I have ever had.

I don't believe that I have ever experienced such a tasteless meal. Curry was frozen, udon noodle broth tasted like water, but the sushi was adequate. There was no one there initially, but a party of eight came in, and they immediately catered to them. We just did not complain. We simply paid, tipped, and left. The waiter was quite nice. This is a not a restaurant which we will try again. We were there yesterday, Saturday, about 12:30 p.m., party of three.

The food served here is ok. Sushi is of decent quality. When compared to similar sushi restaurants in the area this establishment is priced a bit high with smaller portions. The hostess was nice, promptly greeting and seating my group. Our waitress however did not provide good service. The restuarant was not busy during my visit. Food arrived in a timely manner but no drink refills were offered. It took 30 mins to get a check after asking for it. We tried to get the servers attention several times during our meal. She acted as if she didn't see or hear us. I do not reccomend eating here because of the poor service. Servers should be nice and attentive. The server here ignored my group and was not pleasant at all. There are much better Asian/ Sushi restaurants in the area.

Our server Caroline?...was the only positive on our visit. Won Ton soups were so salty we couldn't eat. They were replaced. Then after over an hour and fifteen minutes passed without receiving our dinner order we lost confidence, paid for what we received and went elsewhere. A regrettable experience. I would hope the can improve.

Wonton soup arrived with so much salt it was inedible. We waited for our food for over an hour and finally left the restaurant without getting our food.

Horrible experience we waited 45 minutes for our order, when it was ready it sat on the counter for over 10 minutes. Our waitress was on the counter punching numbers on the register. When I asked another waitress she indicated that she heard them talking about my order. I waited another 5 minutes seeing our food and the waitress still at the registered. When I complained about our food sitting at the counter and no one giving it to us, the waitress got snappy . I asked for the manager , we got our food and the fourth plate was still not done. I complained again and the waitress and her assistant disappeared. Needless to say Sushi does not take an hour to make, never coming back here ever again!!! If I could give zero stars I would . Waitresses have a horrible attitude if you complain about bad service and delayed food delivery .

I ordered from this restaurant, which I have for several years, but I must say my expectations dropped immensely this time. I ordered the fish soup, I realized I must have made a mistake, since it was a vegetable soup with three small pieces of fish in it. My wife ordered the mild chicken curry, which had four small pieces of chicken and she said it tasted like a coconut milk soup. The sushi appetizer was good, but the soy sauce cup was filled a third of the way up. Fortunately, I had soy sauce at home. This was my go to sushi restaurant, but I think it has changed too much.

For lunch it was very expensive and it was just okay the tea that I got was little the waitress had an attitude wasn't something I would tolerate again I Won't Go Back

I used Uber Eats to get the food delivered to the hotel right down the road. It took 40-50 minutes and when the food arrived the noodles were soggy, the food was cold, and the Donuts were dripping with grease. I requested fourth some spices to be on the side and they forgot to include them, so the food was very bland in flavor.

Normally I would not even bother to take the time and leave a review or elaborate on it but this was such a bad experience on sooo many levels, I hope this review will save someone else from the frustration and disappointment I am currently filled with... called to place a pick-up order was placed on hold for almost 10 mins. By hold I mean the phone was thrown down on the counter with the with the speaker on so I could listen to the wait staff joke around with each other as they ineptly meandered around the background. After becoming certain that the person who had picked up and placed me on hold had completely forgotten about me I decided to hang up and call back (I know I’m a glutton for punishment), after being placed on a short hold despite my objections I placed my order and was told it would be ready in 20-25 mins. I arrived almost 30 mins later and wouldn’t you know it, my food still wasn’t ready... over the next 15 mins while waiting for my order, I observed 5 different wait staff and total of 7 people dining in the restaurant, 4 at the sushi bar and a table of 3... needless to say this further begged the question how could I have been placed on hold for a total of almost 15 mins when placing my order and how is it still not ready... after finally getting my food and getting home the disappointment continued. Not only had they messed up one of the two orders of sushi and given me the wrong thing altogether neither one of the orders was very good and the presentation (even for take out) was sub par... furthermore the chicken pad Thai was dried out, flavorless, and had the appearance of having been reheated in a microwave, not to mention it only had 5 meager pieces of chicken in the entire dish... there was a time when this use to be a respectable Asian restaurant but that is obviously no longer the case, idk what happened there but it will never happen to me again...

I’ve eaten here before, and it was pretty good, but something must have changed. Also prices have gone up. The service was horrible, not enough wait staff. Loud 80s music was blaring overhead so we could barely hear each other talk. The atmosphere is that of a sports bar rather than a sushi restaurant. We sat down & it probably took 10 minutes until we received a menu. It took another 10-15 minutes for the waiter to come back and take our order. There were three of us & it took an hour for two of the dinners to arrive. My mom‘s dinner only had two shrimp on it! The waiter did bring more a little while later. My dinner came out 15 minutes later – Pad Thai which was all congealed on top, and warm underneath. Lukewarm shrimp. Disgusting. I will never go back here again. Several other sushi and Thai restaurants to choose from in the area. Don’t waste your money on this one like I did.

Because of covid and being short staffed the food takes a little longer than usual but I promise its worth the wait. Please be mindful to these restaurants that are up and running and short staffed during covid!!! They are doing their best!!

This used to be one of our favorite sushi restaurants, although we have not been in recently. Walked in, place seems to have had some upgrades, was not busy although a large party was just leaving. Barely greeted at the door and waiter head motioned for us to sit in corner. We sat and sat. Finally menus and utensils, but not even a drink order taken. Prices seemed to have gone up...,for what though? After about another 15 min or longer without even a greeting let alone drinks or any kind of service, we got up and walked out. As we walked out then waiter said he’d be right with us...oops, too late. We will go elsewhere. Sorry we wasted the drive.

I have been getting sushi from here for years and it was always a good experience. The reason I am giving 2 ⭐️ is because of my experience last night.
1. The food was not ready when I arrived an hour after ordering.
2. While waiting at the counter, the woman ( owner? Manager?) was extremely rude to her employees and scolded him in front of me. She then apologized and asked if I was ok? It was weird.
3. The above woman was not wearing a mask even though all the other employees were.

They must be under new ownership, because everything was different.
The 2 ⭐️ are for the food which was still tasty.
I hope the new management gets it together soon, because I will not go back if they are treating their employees poorly.

When we called the restaurant, GiGi, the manager was so rude and actually hung up on me when I asked her name! She then handed me off to another staff member who was just as rude. We are from NY/NJ so we are used to attitudes, buy they were beyond rude!! Do yourself a favor and find another place for sushi. I understand that you can be busy, but beyond mistakes in the order and given the opportunity to do something to remedy the situation, it wasn't handled well at all. Shame on you!!

Been going here since we moved (5+ years) and every time is a pleasure. They remodeled the place in October 2019, so it’s been a while since we last went there. Thought it was not possible since they were already amazing, but they’ve improved! Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food served. (I take that back. They’re actually lower than other sushi places around) Worth the wait and money. Cannot wait to go back. Wish I could rate more than 5 stars. Keep up the great service!

Best sushi on the Treasure Coast!!!

My Grandson, Son and I went to the restaurant on 10/23 as we all usually really enjoy the restaurant. It was not very busy, especially with half of the seating gone. My son and I ordered hot meals and my Grandson sushi. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes for my Son to get his food, about 10 minutes later I got mine and then another 10 minutes for my Grandson to get his. The server just said, it was busy! There was no apology, no nothing and no offer of maybe an appetizer while we waited, very dissappointed in the staff, we had eaten there many times in the past but will not be going back. There were people around us who were in the same situation and everyone was complaining!!! Time to relook at Sushi Yama!!!!

Visited on Saturday around 1pm. Not busy, but yet it took an hour to get the food. And it came out in spurts not all at once. The kids meal was Awsm and plentiful. The beach roll was tasty. The pad Thai smelled like dirty gym socks. Our fourth person had the beef fried rice but was not fond of it. Service was slow to even take our order, but they were friendly. Outside was not much to look at. Inside decor was not impressive. We will not be back. 2 is because of the impressive kids meal and the friendly service.

Some of the best sushi in town! HIGHLY recommend eating here! I'm very picky about my sushi, and this place has very high quality ingredients as well as A LOT of options when it comes to rolls. You'll want to try it all lol. Good service too!

My fav sushi hot spot! Staff is always friendly and funny and the food is amazing, my wife loves the sushi and sashimi and im addicted to the Thai food there. The owner has a hilarious personality love it, try it I dare you.

Good, but charging just a bit more than you would expect from a standard sushi menu. The default for sushi when ordering flat bed sushi is it comes in two pieces, not individually.

This is the best sushi restaurant around. I love it here. Service is amazing, food is always fresh and delicious. I come here sometimes more than 2 times a week, I really can't get enough. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!!

Long waits for small, below average sushi. Not going back!
