I was looking for a new Thai spot for my fam and I. I had been going somewhere in Pinellas Park but they started slacking on the quality and quantity of food. I looked this place up and saw wonderful reviews. The reviews were spot on!!! Not only was the customer service fabulous . The food was amazing!! Fresh, flavorful, plentiful and beautifully presented. My fried rice was actually Thai hot (the way I ordered) and not mildly hot . The shrimp were nice sized and cooked perfectly. My cucumber roll was filled with crispy veggies I will definitely be returning here. I hope my 1st time experience will be repeated consistently! I may add the restaurant is beautiful inside as well .

Spectacular! 🤩 Good food and great vibes.. Our second time here and it’s always amazing. I love their Panang Curry it’s way better flavor than I’ve ever had… Pad Thai was great too…also the fried rice… We really clean our plates that’s how delicious it was… We will definitely be back! 👌

We came here for my wife's birthday and Lanna Thai did not disappoint. The staff and service was great and the food is outstanding. I have become a huge fan of sushi thanks to Chef Rome. I now come mainly for the sushi because it is awesome. That is not to take away from the regular menu items which are very good also. Definitely a regular place for us now days.

Definitely definitely love this place. While others are charging a ridiculous amount for dinner, they are very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. I would recommend the chicken pad Thai it is great. The service was impeccable and they definitely wanted to make sure that we were completely satisfied with our meal and our experience.

The servers were very attentive. Almost too much but better that than not enough. I highly recommend the Crab Rangoon the curry in the stuffing is a very welcome & delicious addition. We both had sushi rolls & we shared the crispy duck entrée. The entrée is definitely a sharable size perhaps even for 3 people. All in all it was a great 1st experience. The booths are a little shabby & it could handle some deep cleaning but nothing tragic that I saw. We'll be back!

The bad customer service reviews are 100% real. The food is 3/5 but the customer service is dull and sometimes irritating. But today found a piece of metal nickel in my food. The server didn’t even say anything for the blunder which could have injured my mouth/throat. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times due to food but will avoid in future.

Absolute hidden gem. The menu isn't the greatest but they execute on everything and the aesthetic vibes are unmatched in the area! The definition of "don't judge a book by its cover". Go inside and see for yourself!

100% the best pad thai in the county... I've tried a few other places when this isn't open, and they all fall flat on their face. This has the best flavor, and if you love hot, spicy food then ask for thai hot. They give you a slice of lime that literally takes the pad thai to a whole another level of flavor... and I can't forgot how much they give you, it doubles, sometimes triples the amount given by any other place.. I decided a couple years ago I will never get pad thai anywhere else.

If you love pad thai, this is your place.. if you've been here before and haven't tried their pad thai, your extremely missing out!

Got the sampler platter. Did not like at all. Everything had a sweet taste to it.

The food was not authentic, they were so americanized and Pad Thai smell like smoked. Tomyum soup was missing coconut milk.

We were served by an old waitress and she ONLY cared for White customers, she would walked around asking them if everything good and ignored my table, plus only came to us when we called her.
As an Asian this annoyed me because I felt like I was being racist by my own ethnic.
Never comeback again!

Place is slow and not very organized as to order handling day in the place for over 30 minutes waiting for my order definitely won’t be coming back no matter how good the food if the wait staff suck so does the food at that point very rude no manners would not give updates as to why I was waiting what I was waiting on nothing just when I get to you I’ll get to you

I was super impressed! We split an excellent sushi roll. I had "Three Kings" (Chicken , Duck, and shrimp over vegetables) and it was fantastic. Service was excellent. Great portions and we all took home leftovers. We will be back for sure.

This is among the best Asian food in South Pinellas. Great atmosphere, good food and large portions. Highly recommend. Hurricane scallops was fabulous and lots of scallops. Soft shell crab panang, couldn't believe the amount of crab!

This was is my first time eating here. It's officially my new favorite restaurant. The panang curry was so delicious and just the right amount of spice, the flavor of the coconut in the sauce was perfection. The tasty sushi rolls were made by Chef Romeo, they were crispy and fresh and absolutely delightful. Hands down the best sushi I have ever had.
We had great service by our waiter Tong, not only did he keep our drinks filled he entertained us with his personality. I will definitely eat here again and again.

This place was great the first time but woefully disappointing the second. It had a bad smell as we entered which we got used to and when I ordered my meal and asked to have noodles replace the rice-the hostess agreed. When I received the bill-I had been charged $3 for the noodles. When I questioned the charge and asked why I wasn't informed about the upcharge when I was ordering, she said to read the menu..."money is money" and maybe I will read the menu next time. NO NEXT TIME WILL HAPPEN. Three days later I discovered on my credit card charges that AN ADDITONAL CHARGE WAS ADDED AFTER WE LEFT. The restaurant added a tip TO MY CHARGE AFTER I LEFT. I CONSIDER THAT THEFT AND HAVE ALERTED THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE. Please check your charge AFTER you leave this restaurant if you are foolish enough to go there.

That restaurant was great before covid. Now, it's become just ordinary. Dust everywhere . Need to be hard cleaned and renovated. Restrooms kinda durty, doors handle is durty too. Pop music is playing, instead asian, TV.... like in sports bar and nothing national.. no atmosphere. Very pity 😕

Such great Thai food here, this is my absolute favorite! I’ve never had a bad meal here, they have amazing starters such as steamed dumplings, spring rolls and chicken and rice soup. My go to dinner here is their Amazing chicken dish, so much food and so delicious! Excellent Pad Thai as well.

FRESH AND Delicious! Restaurant is scrupulously clean. My friend had a dragon roll which she substituted salmon for the shrimp. It was beautifully presented and she said delicious. I had their egg rolls appetizer hot and lovely presentation. I can't wait to go back with a bigger appetite!

Stopped by here for wife's birthday. First time here. It looked cosy with the decor. The menu was easy enough to read and understand. My meal as shown was very good and tasty. It was filling and my eyes are always bigger than my stomach. I could not finish it. All in all it was a very nice experience and will come back.

Good sushi

Consumer Beware! We had a disappointing interaction with the server and then we got the bill and without a word said they added 20% gratuity for a table of 5. Not 6! She felt her tip was going to be affected so she secured her 20%. I know she was hoping I would tip 20% on top of it not noticing.

However they do have damn good food!

This was our first time at Lanna for take out. The Amazing Sause with chicken lived up to its name. Can't wait to visit again and experience dine-in.

The service and food were great! We went for a birthday party and everyone was taken care of without issue. A little dated feeling but charming in its environment. Helpful in the menu and would definitely go back. Had the Crispy duck, veggies and noodles on side with some spicy seasons to add as I pleased.

I almost pulled into Wendy's for lunch but I thought perhaps I should try something different and give a small business my money. There was Lanna's across the street calling my name.

Excellent Pad Thai and Sushi with generous portions for the price. If you like spicy, go for very spicy as I found their medium a little sweet.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Maybe it was the time of the year, but it wasn't busy at all. In and out very quickly. Watched them with a difficult and rude customer with class.

I don't visit this part of town often but I'll definitely be back if I am in the area again.

Place has the best sampler in Pinellas county. Also they serve Laos food Yum beef. They also have the best sushi chef Rome fantastic personality

As a trained Thai chef, this was the worst Thai food I ever tasted. No flavor, everything watered down. The women in our party kept complaining about how cold the dining room was. We were told that the temperature was set to 75.

Love it here. Recommend the papaya salad and the pad thai! Sushi is pretty good too.

Fwiw, my family members seemed more satisfied than I was. I ordered pad see iew with shrimp, and the table shared an order of crab rangoon. The food was good enough, but this wasn't a place where I took home my leftovers. I usually finish Thai food, and rarely have leftovers but always take them home.

Friendly staff. Strangely our orders were all brought at different times and one of us got their food 5-15 minutes earlier than the rest of us. We were there at night and the location is pretty nondescript. It doesn't look very welcoming from the outside, but once you get past the double entry doors it's a quite lovely indoor space.

Amazing this is the best Thai food around

I've been here many times and loved the atmosphere and the food. In the last 6 months I have ordered take-out food around 4 times. It has gotten progressively worse each time! I kept going back because it's convenient and I had liked their food in the past.(plus I was hopeful)This last order was take-out again. I got it home and it was inedible! I had to throw it away. It was $23 worth of food. I should have taken it back..anyway the guy who checked me out didn't even wait until I was finished signing the ticket. He was more interested in talking to the other staff members. It was not busy when I was there and it smelled bad right at the entrance.. So sad but I will not be returning.

My New Thai Place

I don't plan on returning. No more than 2 stars on my review. Today was my first time. I got 3 sushi rolls. I let the server know that I would probably like to order a lunch plate to go. He proceed to tell me that I had to order the lunch food by 215. I was okay with that knowing lunch was over at 230. It was about 140 so I was thinking what was the rush. He kept asking multiple times, barely a few minutes apart if I knew what I wanted. I wondered why since It was only 150. It was as if his kitchens time was more of a priority than my dining experience. I spent about $60 today. The sushi was okay but too heavy on the sauce. The chicken with vegetables to go was terrible. The chicken and vegetables tasted terribly old. I put soy sauce on it to try to make it taste better but as I chewed the chicken it was tasting like a 4 or 5 day left over dish. I threw most of it out. I felt sick after eating the food.

Food is consistently good

My son and I had dinner here for the first time a few nights ago. We were blown away by the interior decor. You wouldn't have thought you'd walk into such an eloquent dining room from the exterior. We ordered the sampler appetizer, which was delicious, followed by a couple of the specialty sushi rolls. Everything was amazing! Service was wonderful. We will definitely return!

I love the panang curry from this restaurant.

I've eaten here several times. Hadn't eaten here since 4 months ago until recently. Will not be going back. They no longer provide military discounts to veterans. I have always gotten a 10% discount every time I
have eaten there. The waiter was argumentative when I informed him I was a military veteran to get the military discount. He said they have never provided military discount and the owner said no military discounts.I ordered the drunken noodles. The meal no longer comes with the soup and salad. Again, the waiter was argumentative stating that it was provided before 6pm. I have always dined there after 8pm and it was provided with the meal. I
had to ask if my food was ready after waiting over 30 minutes for them to bring my meal. My Man always order Sushi, and in the past it has always been great. However, this time he said the California Roll tasted like it was premade and had been sitting for a while.

Placed an order through GrubHub. Received a cancellation message a while later stating that an item I ordered wasn't available and Lana Thai had cancelled the order. No message, no call, nothing. Just cancelled it. We didn't see the message until a while later when we were expecting the delivery. I called Lana Thai to find out what item was not available so that I could replace the order. They said that actually their GrubHub tablet hasn't worked in a while and they just cancel any order that comes through. How convenient. No apology, no offer to take the order over the phone, just an "OK" and hung up the phone.

Nice place with good food. My first time here and I don’t know enough to order the right thing but we got the curry chicken and it was excellent. A little spicy which I like. The portions are large, very easy to share. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Volcano roll and Dynamite roll are both excellent - yummy! Also nice decor and courteous, prompt service.

I’ve tried many Thai places. Best Thai in Saint Petersburg. Great prices and portions.

This place used to be amazing! It was delicious, consistent, and worth the money. Now, the prices have skyrocketed (like everywhere else) but their sushi and service has degraded. I have had multiple orders that were wrong, and when they were correct, they weren’t up to par. Too big to fit in my mouth, falling apart, too much filler, etc. I hope this place gets back to its glory days soon because it was AMAZING.

My favorite Thai restaurant

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I went here tonight (Mother’s Day), and took my two-year-old daughter. She was pretty loud, made a mess, as she doesn’t yet know how to act in a restaurant. A kind couple picked up the bill for us, and said happy Mother’s Day. I was brought to tears out of gratitude when the server told me. I would very much like to thank them. So if you’re reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Haven't been here in a long while, after tonight I can't remember why we stopped eating here. Food was delicious, I had sweet & sour w/pork and it was excellent, not like those thick & sweet sauces. This one was well balanced, the veggies were perfectly cooked. My better half had the cashew nut w/chicken and she felt the same about hers as I did about mine. We also shared the steamed dumplings, the meat mixture was great, but the only issue was the wonton wrappers were "chewy". We'll definitely be back!

I have had Pad Thai all over the world and this was the worst. My brother and I couldn't eat the overcooked noodles emersed in a strong brown fish sauce; and the bean sprouts were cold and wet and tossed to the side. We will not be back.

Soup served cold and hot tea was room temp! The woman that presents to be the owner or manager is excepionally rude! I have allergies and she has said to me on 2 separate occasions that I should not go there to eat. Gave it a second try, thinking she MUST have been having a bad day. No just should not be in business! There are MANY other MUCH BETTER SUSHI/ THAI RESTAURANTS to go to. **Rain is just down the street and very nice, clean, delicious and accomodating for allergies! Food is ok at LannaThai but not worth it. And not crazy about being treated like that!

Very lovely atmosphere inside this restaurant. I have been looking forward to going to eating here since I moved back. The menu has some great choices, though I really wanted the softshell crab panang and sadly they did not have it. I had the squid 🦑 instead and Inga had sweet and sour shrimp. We also had the Thai donuts for desert. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and look forward to eating here again.

UPDATE: was back in town recently and ordered my favorite - pineapple fried rice. not sure what happened... no veggies, just onion, pineapple and nuts. the food was tasteless. new staff? new cook? not sure. even my wife was disappointed. could barely eat what i bought and threw out the rest. so sad, b/c their food used to be amazing. will not be returning.

This was the absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Management was beyond rude when we said the food tastes off and was cold - took food away, did not offer a new plate, and then came back with snide, rude comments that the plate was still warm - when we said it was the FOOD, and not the plate. Wanted to pick a fight and argue when we just wanted to try and enjoy our remaining food. Entire restaurant was appalled at managements behavior - we did not even touch our remaining food afterwards and said we lost our appetite, so sent it back. Another server came over and thanked us for speaking up - and said that the manager had been rude to her all day long. We felt bad, for the staff, and anyone eating their food. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I do not recommend this place, Nori Thai blows it out of the water. Go there instead, I sure will be.
