I had meetings and we were left in the dark about delays. When asked they said had a big order in front of us. If something is happening that is out of the norm - let your customers know (like will take 40 minutes to get their food). Utterly disappointed in this visit, the service was just lacking. Do not thing, we will be visiting to ever sit in, will start exploring other options in the area now.

My wife and her co-workers had ordered food from here. They all raved about how good it was. We had family coming over for our daughters birthday. We decided to give Lavender a try. They definitely have a large variety of Chinese and Thai food to choose from along with sushi. If you're looking for an Asian restaurant this is going to be the place to go to with a large variety. We ended up ordering a tray of chicken lo mein, chicken penang, and two quarts of hot and sour soup.

The food was all very good. Coming from Chicago I appreciate restaurants not skimping on the meat and the vegetables, or portions. I was very pleased with the amount of food in the trays. This place definitely delivered on both. Service and food quality.

I picked up a to go order on Friday afternoon at 4pm. The place was empty except for one table. I ordered chicken pad thai to go. When I got home and started eating it, I realized that I was eating chicken and shrimp pad thai. If I were allergic to shellfish that would've been a VERY bad thing. My pad thai was very good, but be careful and make sure that you are actually getting what you ordered.

Love this place! This is the only Chinese/Asian restaurant that I have found that has an extensive Gluten Free menu. I have 2 sons and 1 has Celiac while the other has Gluten sensitivity. Every New Years we place a large order of various dishes both from the regular menu and Gluten Free menu.The food is very good, however it is a bit bland. They don't use MSG which I appreciate and I also like that they allow you to season to your individual preference. I like garlic but sometimes when I order a dish it is so overwhelming that I can't taste anything else. This restaurant does it just right for me. I sometimes have to add a bit of salt and/or soy sauce to my dish here but that's ok with me. I like salt very much but my husband is a little more sensitive to it, so we are both happy to personalize our dishes. Our sons love their GF menu which is quite extensive, so if you have gluten sensitivity or Celiac this piece is a dream come true! The only problem for me is the location, it's a bit of a drive but so worth it. We have eaten at the restaurant once or twice but mostly do
to-go orders. The atmosphere inside is very nice with a bar and nice decor not tacky like some Asian restaurants can be. I would eat here more often if they were closer to my home. It is anywhere from 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic, so not horrible but not very convenient either. Definitely worth the drive for us on special occasions. Highly recommend!

I’ve visited Lavender Bistro multiple times despite consistently poor experiences, solely because my wife enjoys it. However, after today’s visit, I feel compelled to share my concerns. My wife and I sat at the bar to order food and martinis. I fully understand and respect the importance of verifying IDs when serving alcohol, but being asked to verify my identity three separate times felt less like a policy and more like harassment. To address any concerns, I even presented my veteran ID for additional verification, which should have sufficed. What made matters worse was the blatant disrespect from this one employee. If there were genuine issues with serving us, I would have appreciated open communication. Instead, I was left feeling targeted and unwelcome. This level of treatment is unacceptable. If Lavender Bistro cannot uphold basic standards of respect and professionalism, I’ll gladly spend my money at an establishment that values its customers.

I ordered pad thai to go. It tasted like i was made with oveecooked Ramen noodles without a flavor packet. The chicken was bland, the pad thai had no bean sprouts and they didn't give me silverware or napkins!

Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants around Snellville. I've eaten here with my parents, friends, and grandparents and its always amazing. The food and portions are just right.

Lavender Asian Bistro is my favorite restaurant! My husband has Celiac, and LAB’s gluten free menu has allowed us to enjoy some of my favorite dishes on our dates without worrying about him getting “glutened”. Everyone is very friendly, and I always have a good experience. Great lunch deals as well! :)

I used to come here frequently, but I hadn’t been in over nine months and I was looking forward to ordering the Larb. It was served Cold this time and I remember it being a warm dish. I also ordered the spicy tuna roll. It was just OK.

My daughter and I are absolutely obsessed with Lavender! She loves to order the Bagel roll off the sushi menu and I love the Eggplant in garlic sauce from the vegetarian entrees. For appetizers we get the basil rolls. The best ever!!

Amazing sushi everytime.

Called asked about delivery. Told me will deliver and will be $3 for delivery. However after calling to place order I was told they won't deliever because of distance. They only go 5miles and my GPS says in 5.1miles. They wanted to take the long way to make it 6miles based upon GPS. Wasted my time.

Great lunch experience

Just some feedback: When the driver gave me the bag, I placed on the counter and noticed that the bottom of the bag was very wet with the coconut curry sauce. It then ripped open and the containers fell on the counter. Glad they didn't fall on the floor. I was able to salvage most of the Masaman, but had to do a lot of cleanup.

Ate here while visiting family for the holidays bc it came up with gluten free options. It was amazing. We had gf calamari, tangerine beef, Kung Pao chicken, golden crispy prawn, and sesame chicken. ALL of it gf and amazing. It was so good, I almost cried. We have lots of gf restaurants in our home town, but this all tasted like Chinese food from my childhood. It was delicious and nostalgic and we will be stopping here whenever we are in town! The service was also fantastic and friendly. It is too soon to know if we got gluten, but if we did I'll update my review

Everything I had was exceptional. I got sushi and red curry. It was possibly the most fragrant and floral smelling red curry I've ever had. They were very kind as well. It's also not very expensive. Definitely recommend. And they drew a fish on the plate ☺️

Do not trust this place. I have gotten sick on multiple occasions from this location and thought I would try again, but have found that it was always the common denominator. Their cooked sushi is always cold, and they advised it is served cold. I have gotten it warm before... so is it just old food then? My stomach issues were just a coincidence. I would be terrified of parasites... Beware...

Deep fried sushi is always cold. The staff is dishonest, and serves old food. My friend had a horrible experience with them through uber... she was pregnant and they admitted that they did not remake her order that was delayed and her secondary order was just rebadged with the delayed order that was over an hour late through uber. I would not trust this establishment, because they are dishonest to save a buck and do not care about their customers health.

The staff here is completely dishonest... I am pregnant and placed a uber order for priority delivery. For the sake of understanding, the order was placed at 6:50pm. This was a sushi order, which contained seafood. The first delivery person had an emergency and they cancled the order so it was reassigned. My huisband then re-ordered the exact same rolls and a drink instead of an egg drop soup. Uber canceled my order and refunded what was placed at 6:57. The second order that was placed was at 7:55pm, which was when my original order was due for delivery. My second order was due for delivery, and showed up stone cold at 8:15pm. The tag was ripped off the bag, and I recieved an egg drop soup and the original tag on the soup for my name, not my husbands name. The literally took the sushi that had sat for over an hour (A COOKED SUSHI, DEEP FRIED) and pushed it to another customers order. This is a serious health issue, laziness, I do not, and will not ever trust or order from them again. I advise you to do the same. This shows a lot about their business and the lack of health concerns for their patrons.

This place is always my go to for something extraordinary. I love the fact that they treat every customer with the same enthusiasm as the one previous. The food is always hot and served in the order you would expect from a 3 or 4 course establishment. If you’re hungry and love seafood I suggest the hot pot it’s to die for.

Nice little hole in the wall spot. Blends into a little strip mall, but don't let appearances fool you. Once you walk inside it's very nice. I've tried lots of dishes and the food has never disappointed.

Restaurant on Scenic Hwy... check for times and days open.... With friends, I decided to try something new and went with Mushroom Chicken. To my surprise, it had some veggies that were not mentioned on the menu. Was good but was hoping for some different mushrooms. Spring rolls were good. Hint: With other restaurants, karate class, etc sometimes it maybe hard to get a parking spot. We go thru the gas to get out sometimes by the traffic light if Scenic Hwy is crowded. Restaurant has a bar and open for lunch and dinner.

My Seafood Hot Pot was really delicious and worth the price. And one of my companions really enjoyed her chicken with string beans dish. However, the dish my other friend got was not quite what she ordered, and neither was the one they replaced it with. The waitress's English wasn't great, which may have been the issue. We ate there at about 5pm in June (so it was still light outside). The restaurant atmosphere, however, was quite dark and a bit old fashioned.

Killer sushi! The Masaman curry was perfect. Will definitely be back!

The atmosphere was dark, customer service was horrible, Pad Thai was bland, and the Sweet and Sour Shrimp was didn’t come with vegetables, and it was so over cooked the shrimps were tough.

I love the food! Thai Fried Rice is delicious, so is their Sushi, rather the California Rolls.

We were here taking our turn caring for elderly parents and ordered delivery. Picky parents enjoyed the shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce(not spicy) and sesame chicken. It’s been hard getting them to eat but they devoured their food. Made us happy to see that. We enjoyed ours also. Honorable mention to the crab Rangoon!

I brought my family here from out of town instead of going to Sri Thai. My curry was basically peanut butter after I asked for Thai hot. My family liked it ok. The food is just mediocre. The chicken is really unnaturally soft not sure what’s happening there. It’s just mediocre I wish they would cook authentically instead of trying to tone everything down into Americanized mush. People who go out for Thai want Thai or else they would buy some knock off at the grocery and stay home. Please step it up guys the curries are kind of a joke to be honest with you.

All of the things we have ordered from Lavender have been excellent. Their sushi is good and relatively inexpensive (their roll combo is a great deal). Their Thai menu is delicious - I recommend their tom yum soup. For their Chinese menu, we love their seafood options - the chef really knows how to cook the seafood just right.

The sizzling rice soup was not sizzling and the rice was like soggy Rice Krispies. The sauce for my very tough Mongolian beef seemed watered down. The spring roll was good. The outsourced fortune cookie was the best part of the meal.

I just changed my review because the last time I went there (Feb. 2023) I ended up walking out. We sat there for 20min and no one came to take our order, bring us water or anything. They are horribly understaffed now, and there might have only been one guy trying to serve the entire place? Don't go unless you expect to wait

One of my favorite restaurants

This is our second time trying their curry options and again, both curries were incredibly bland and watery (almost as though they used coconut water rather than coconut milk?). Their panang is likely the worst-tasting curry I've ever had. We also never received the crab rangoon that we ordered and paid for. We tried their sushi in the past, which was very stale and rubbery. In short, this was our second and last disappointing $60 "dinner" from Lavender.

We stopped in for lunch on Sunday. We've been here several times, but weren't pleased with this visit. The ambience and restaurant is nice. It took 10 minutes for our server to acknowledge us and take it drink orders. He wasn't the friendliest and most attentive. We finally placed our order and my meal came out with chicken instead of shrimp. The server told me that's what I told him, but he was the one to say chicken. He brought me a new meal. It looked better than the first. The pad see-ew was missing some flavor and some of the shrimp had not been completely deveined. GROSS, chewing and suddenly feeling grit in my teeth. This happened in at least 3 shrimp. My mom had a similar experience with her shrimp pad thai. Beware when ordering shrimp.

Amazing menu. So much to choose from. They have many varieties of rolls and sushi. We ordered lo mein noodles, garlic egg plant curry and thai green curry and all were delicious. They mostly have the most common thai and Japanese items on the menu.

Worst tasting Thai food I've ever experienced. Ordered Thai Ginger with Beef and Thai Shrimp Fried rice from Uber eats. The beef dish was inedible because the meat was tough, rubbery and had NO Ginger flavor. The rice dish also was not tasty, no Thai flavor and of poor quality. This did not even deserve 1 star but I couldn't provide feedback without a star rating.

This place used to be one of the best. I don't know what's happened to make it go downhill but I don't plan to eat here anymore. The green curry used to be amazing but the last two times I've ordered it it has been terrible. They also used to have the best spring rolls but now they are filled with flavorless goo.

My dad loves this place. It’s pretty good for what you get but pretty overpriced and the service isn’t that great. Good food though.

Best Asian food in Atlanta!!! It's been over a decade since I have been here and the food is better than I remember. So good I came back the next day. The crab ragoon is the best I have had. The shrimp lo mein was so fresh. If you eat clean and want good flavor, this is the spot!!

Great food and hot and portion size is decent enough to be full. Not bad also for weight lose substitute. Will be going again sooner than later.

I just couldn't give more than 3 stars for this place .... however the Sizzling Rice soup was good! The hot tea too. My favorite the Salmon Roe was a bit off colored as was the flavor of it. The Philly roll was good. The shrimp lo mein wasn't quite up to par. Maybe they were having an off day.....

Besides coming in to dine in throughout the year, every year we order Christmas or Christmas eve dinner from Lavender and it is our favorite tradition!!! Always delicious!! The crab rangoons are the bessstttt ❤️ thank you, Lavender!

We had a party of 6. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We're all foodies! I gave 5 stars because of the food understanding that many restaurants are struggling with staff. Yes, the food took a little while and there were only 2 wait staff and probably short staffed in food prep but when one of the appetizers was incorrect, they corrected it with no hassle. This was my first time back since the pandemic started. Glad to know the food is still delicious!

We have orderd carryout from here many times. I recently ordered Chicken Pad Thai but it was missing some of the ingredients. There were noodles, chicken, sauce and limes but no peanuts, bean sprout, egg or scallions as mentioned in the description of the dish.

I stopped by for lunch and grabbed a few sushi rolls. Amazing. Even better prices. I have had their Chinese food in the past and loved it, but I am impressed at how good the rest of items were. Definitely will be back!

This used to be our standby for Thai and Chinese, where thevfood was reliably wonderful. They must have changed chefs or altered ingredients. My larb was 70% Onion. The spicy fried rice bereft of veggies and meat. Luckily my shrimp dish still had plump, fresh shrimp, but the walnuts were burned. Plus, the waiter made more than one error...unfortunately this isn't the first time.

Ordered takeout. Service was quick. Food was mediocre at best.

The crab rangoon tasted more like cream cheese which was off putting. The sushi was okay but not something I have to have again

I used GrubHub. I had chicken corn velvet soup and Tangerine Beef made extra spicy (medium). Excellent 👍. I've been going in person for years,and I Always had a great time, wine and cocktails are great! Prices are reasonable.The wait staff are attentive and accommodating, as I like booths better than a table. I will be returning in person soon.😋😋😋👍

For an early ladies lunch out for two gluten free guests Lavender Asian Bistro had a separate large gluten free menu. From chicken coconut soup to the Kung Poa chicken it was delicious. Great ambiance and seating was perfect. This is family owned and operated and a must try for my gluten free folks out there.

I have always received great service and perfect food from here. They do a great job with a simple and refined lunch menu that I always find something new on.

Been here three times and won’t come back. My family was really hoping it would work out because I have celiac and was told this place was great preparing gluten free meals. First time I did not get sick. Second time got sick, but figured something just went wrong and decided we could give it another try. Went there tonight and got sick again. Unfortunate because they do seem to have a large menu. Might be good for people with no dietary restrictions.

I’m sad to say after being a loyal customer for almost 10 years, tonight’s dinner was our last supper from Lavender. So disappointed! Higher prices and LESS food! A lot has changed here over the years and now I’m really starting to see it😒

Not sure about the other food here but this is the worst Chinese food I've ever had. It's like they are repurposing the proteins from different dishes. It wasn't fresh at all.

I had heard about Lavender Asian Bistro for a while but never had the chance to try it out. Tonight, was the big night as we we're celebrating our kid’s graduation. Regardless it was probably the best Asian food I've tried in Lawrenceville and the servers were very friendly!

The food was cold and service was bad.

We are usually very pleased when we eat here, but the past couple of times everything hasn't been up to the usual standard. We ordered calamari, which is usually really good. This time we immediately noticed a strong fishy odor and taste which indicates it wasn't fresh. Also the ginger dressing had a strange taste the last couple of times we visited. Otherwise, the soup was really good as was the sushi. We'll give them benefit of the doubt that this slump in quality was only temporary and hope for a better experience next time.

Interesting this Meme Coco has never experienced a good restaurant ever in his or her life. All his or her review turned out to be bad. What a coincidence.

Came last week had great experience from the older guy. Food was just OK but service made the difference. Today, food not so good and the Young girl server made sure I never wanted to come back. Terrible personality

Service and food good. Coconut chicken soup delicious with a hint of spicy 😋. Lemon drop and pad Thai good. Large selection of sushi, must try! Enjoy 🙂

Fodd was very good. Best sweet and sour I have had! Not super crowded, good menu including sushi. Will definately return!

The food was very bland. Ordered about $200 worth of food and almost everything lacked flavor. The food also took over an hour to arrive and only one of our meals came during that time, still had to wait longer for our main dishes.

There are much better Asian restaurants in the area. Go to those.

Food taste good but when I was sick with Covid & left my soup out...I had it delivered & would not bring it back out to my house. Got into it big time with rep on the phone. Advised I have been coming there for years & they never have to worry about me again

Food was excellent and priced well and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

Pointed to the menu and ordered spring rolls. Never got them. Asked if they had hot tea just like I always do in Chinese restaurants and they charge me three dollars for a teabag and hot water. Didn’t get the soup with my lunch but just got one spring roll. I would make sure if you go to this restaurant that you make sure the waiter and waitress are paying attention to you. I won’t be going back ever again. Sad because they actually have pretty good food

The menu choices are terrific, including vegan. They're able to deliver for a reasonable price.

I had the Crunch Dragon Roll sushi (without eel) it was filling & really good even my picky daughter ate some! Plus the price of it was decent 👌🏾. My first time coming here and I will be back!

The red and green curry was good. Enjoyed the Sushi. But they are not friendly. Been twice, no smiling and very matter of fact. But I will go again!

Never had sushi that didn’t have any flavor. Hot and sour soup was ok. Lo Mein was decent.
