I love everything about this Chinese restaurant! All the food is exquisite! Of course, we had our usual favorite dishes last night, with one addition: grilled yellow tail collar! What an awesome dish! It was absolutely delicious. The fish was light and tasty, and the presentation was beautiful! Superb!
Also, the staff is always welcoming and efficient, and the restaurant facilities are impeccable and comfortable!
This is THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN ST. PETE AND TAMPA! Absolutely off the charts!
Not sure if we came at the wrong time but the food here was very disappointing. The fish was slimy and had little taste, the claypot spare ribs were bright red, moist in a bad way and also tasteless, the char Siu was also tasteless and very chewy. The only decent dish was the broccoli with beef. Service was decent, not much to say about it
Delicious and abundant shrimp fried rice. We tried the spring rolls and wonton soup and I'd order them both again. Great service and no long wait. I had some tea and it was perfect on a cool night. If I lived a bit closer, it would definitely be my go-to for Chinese food. Very good prices too.
Love the lobster or crab with ginger and scallion. The steamed fish with soy sauce, ginger and scallion is pretty good too (but sometimes tastes a bit overcooked so it’s drier than I’d like). The steamed chicken with ginger scallion sauce is amazing. We’ve also tried the steamed oysters, which were pretty good.
Visited this Chinese restaurant, and it's a blend of authenticity with adapted dishes and genuine service.
Being in the area, we decided to try Chinese food, as it's been a while since we were in China.
The place offers an extensive menu of traditional dishes, and the small portion of dumpling soup was surprisingly large, enough for two. Overall, generous portions, speedy service. The jasmine Chinese tea was exceptionally delicious.
2 stars out of 5. Still on the search for great, authentic Chinese food. We tried ABC Seafood (66th st) and it was very disappointing.
The Crab Rangoons had had no Krab in them. The Seafoid Fried Rice was more like steamed white rice, very bland and tasteless. And, my Seafood Chow Fun had very little seafood in it, only 1 piece of squid.
The real disappointment was the Salt & Pepper Calamari which had a stale texture as though it was cooked hours ago. These squid have fantastic reviews and they sucked!
The green tea was the best part, loose leaf tea, nice and hot. The service was great, very friendly and attentive.
ABC Seafood Restaurant recently moved to a newer, bigger, and cleaner place on 66th Street N.. Finding this place caused some confusion since another restaurant called ABC Chinese Cuisine moved into their previous location on 54th Ave N. This should not be allowed. It’s obvious the new restaurant is capitalizing on the ABC name. To add to the confusion, the signage outside the new ABC Seafood location said “Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant”. There was a smaller banner in front of the new location that said ABC Grand Opening. Despite all these hassles, it was worth going to the new location. There’s more parking spaces than before. The roasted duck was as good as ever.. They improved on their Salt and Pepper Tofu recipe. The rest of the dishes we ordered failed to disappoint. Better yet, they proactively offered to give us plates and forks so we can serve a birthday cake we brought with us to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday.
Great food and service. Large portions and competative prices. Tables with Lazy Susans for sharing dishes. Our new favorite Chinese restaurant.
The food is SO good that I gave 5 stars in spite of the mediocre service. Our favorite is shrimp with vegetables. Plump firm shrimp, ample crunchy veggies, and very tasty sauce that isn’t over-salted or over-seasoned.
The fish is good.
Crowded but good service. Food was authentic Chinese and so delicious. What a gem for great Chinese food here in St Pete.
Love Sandy, she will hook you up. Come with a group and fill that lazy susan up w the best chinese seafood in town. Please do not disrespect the fish head - eat it.
Absolutely a delight. We got the Duck, Bao, Wonton, eggplant and clams sesame balls
Always fresh, crispy, flavorful. I haven't been here since they moved from old location, but this place is very nice, friendly attentive staff and clean bathrooms. However, menu is Not Gluten Free Friendly.
Very good experience
Authentic chinese cuisine. Large portions. One of the best in town.
Working in the area for a few months. I will definitely eating here at least once a week. This place has made it to my top 3 Chinese restaurants in the US, with China Cottage in Ohio, and some hole in the wall in San Fran China town.
Sampling something different every time, and just happy to have fantastic Chinese food in the area.
Best Chinese in st Pete by far
Excellent food !
Their food is superior. We have made ABC restaurant one of our regulars. Most recently, we ordered a large take-out order for 16 guests and they nailed-it. Suggest you try their Hot & Sour Soup, with or without seafood - one of the best and their Mongolian Beef is excellent. Don’t hesitate to give this place a try.
Very good Chinese food
This is the worst place to go for Chinese food. they use to own the one on 54th ave and then they got big and bought out lucky star, since then they got a big head think they are everything THE BEST in Tampa bay. NOW THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO BAD TO THIR OLD CUSTOMER. THE FOOD QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN.
This used to be Lucky Star that really was not friendly towards white people. The new owners here still kept on the old main manager of Lucky Star. The place smells like rotten fish. You will want to walk out right away. My take out food smelled like trash that was a week old. It was not fresh. Even the won ton soup had spoiled soggy won ton noodles in it. I got a very bad stomach ache after trying that and ended up throwing the rest of the spoiled food out. Yuck. Should of went to Hoa Wah Chinese restaurant.
The food is exellent, service is a bit slow when there is a lot of customer. Parking lot is big enough. Recommended!!
Best Chinese food in St Pete area

The best Chinese food in town. The Cantonese style sweet and sour pork is authentic and very delicious. Highly recommended! Price is also very reasonable.
We normally come to this restaurant quite often. 2-3 times a month and every birthday anniversary But today I'm not okay. Because we haven't finished eating yet and we are still spending time with our family happily eating. A waiter came and asked, Do you want to take the leftover food on your plate and put it in a box to take home? So we said yes.She disappeared for a moment. and came back with a box of food prepared for us. along with the bill that the customer will pay I don't think it's right that you brought the bill in while we weren't finished eating. And there was only one table in the whole restaurant. At that time it was only 9:30 p.m. So we asked what time your shop closes and she said 11pm. What are you rushing us to pay for? If we assume that there are a lot of customers at the shop that day, we will definitely eat quickly as a courtesy. But today is very bad. But my friends like it and compliment that your restaurant makes delicious food. But this kind of service probably won't come again. We, too, probably won't be going to your shop for a long time.
Great food and service
My first time in to get some take out and I loved the vibe. I found the lady who was working in the front of the place to be upbeat and kind.
I ordered the wonton soup and the wontons were fresh and so delicious. The broth also had a delicious flavor that I'd willing to bet was also made in house.
Next was the beef chow fun with the homemade rice noodles. Huge portion and scrumptious! I could eat this again and again.
Pork fried rice. Huge portion and the best I've had! Tremendous flavor.
Everything tasted expertly made in house and I can see myself craving this food again. I can tell you that I can not ever see myself leaving ABC without some of that wonton soup!
Always love ABC. Everything from food to service is always excellent.

This is THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN ST. PETE AND TAMPA! Absolutely off the charts!
Everything was good. The flavor was authentic. We ordered 4 scallops which opened to 8 servings. Only one was sandy. The duck was juicy, abit too juicy, skin was not crispy. Beef brisket hot pot was a bit tough but we finished it anyway. We polished off the on-choy and salt&pepper tofu also. Ordered the shrimp with coconut milk puff. You rarely find fried milk on a menu in the US and even more rare to have it done right. Try it.
Authentic Chinese cuisine. One of the few places down here with Chow Fun, and theirs is freshly made. Simple place with GREAT food!
Definitely my favorite place for authentic Chinese food. Don't expect the food to be like every other Chinese place around, but do expect to be pleasantly surprised.
Excellent restaurant if you want the closest to authentic Chinese cuisine in this area.
I usually only order General Tso when I go to a Chinese restaurant. Would not go back to order again, but staff was friendly and service was great, food quality is good and prices are fair. They make homemade noodles and I'm sure they have other great selections that I haven't tried because it seemed very popular with the locals always a good sign.
Finally after 3 years looking for decent chinese food in Pinellas county we found the best in St. Pete! Excellent food!
One of the best Chinese restaurants in St. Petersburg
Salt and Pepper shrimp is amazing
Staying out by the beaches. This is the only legit Chinese spot
Love, love, love this restaurant. Thanks Genie for the being so kind and welcoming. Don't get the 66th St. N. location mixed up with the old location on 54th. ABC is located in the old Lucky Star restaurant. ABC on 66th is where you want to be. Very affordable and nice sized portions. My only go to for great food.
We go weekly. The food has always been good at this location however ABC has taken it to a even higher level of taste, quality and consistency. The staff is always wonderful. The Chinese Vegetable with Beef and garlic wine sauce is the best chinese dish I've ever tasted. This is my #1 recommedation for Chinese in St Pete.
Second time here. Love this place. They always treat us like family. Food is delicious and the prices are great. A must visit.
Wonderful food and service in the ABC Seafood.I love food and love Jenny too.
Best Chinese Food in St Pete! Excellent soups, noodle and rice dishes. Ordered 5 dishes and all were excellent. We will try more as this will be my go to Chinese restaurant in St Pete.
The cold jellyfish and beef shank starter was perfect on a hot August day, though I think my super white and American boomer parents greatly preferred the coconut balls - think piping-hot, super crunchy deep-fried coconut custard. A little bit of powdered sugar on top and they would sell out of these at state fairs.
For entrees we went with the beef stew, sizzling beef in honey pepper sauce, and a chicken and mushroom claypot. All was delicious, though the beef stew is made with chewy, gooey tendons, and might not be what you'd expect. I loved it though. The dishes all come with just enough white rice though I was kindly offered more when I finished mine.
We stopped in right when they opened on a Saturday, and our servers were super sweet and attentive. What a wonderful spot! Can't wait to try them for take-out next time.
Update: They switched locations to 66th St. Still great food. I burnt my mouth on the coconut balls because I couldn't wait to eat them! :3
Nice service and delicious food, very authentic!
Best Chinese food in St Pete! Sesame chicken and spicy eggplant were awesome!
Good Food but found the venue difficult to order from. Wait staff was not very helpful but overall service was ok. Food was tasty. It's worth a try.. but no combo plates that I coukd see on it
Visiting friends in St. Petersburg Florida was craving Chinese this by far is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at food was absolutely fresh tasty nice servings. I just wish I wasn’t so far away that I could go enjoy it On a regular basis 🤩
I was able to order late night and the sesame chicken was amazing. The pieces are small strips/chunks so it’s nice and crispy. I was bummed I couldn’t pay to sub fried rice for white rice, you have to pay for a full order, but the white rice was perfect. They have their own version of a crab Rangoon, it’s definitely worth trying.
new / relocated
Love the lobster or crab with ginger and scallion. The steamed fish with soy sauce, ginger and scallion is pretty good too (but sometimes tastes a bit overcooked so it’s drier than I’d like). The steamed chicken with ginger scallion sauce is amazing. We’ve also tried the steamed oysters, which were pretty good.
We’ve been going to and picking up from ABC for years. Best Chinese in Tampa Bay. The new location is great.

Homely restaurant with open layout, food was fresh and delicious.
This is the ORIGINAL, ABC Hong Kong style Chinese Seafood. The previous restaurateur's sign out front threw me but this is the original ABC. Bigger building with all the same great no compromise recipes and it still reasonably priced. If you're a foody it's an absolute must.
Best Chinese food in Tampa!
The appetizers were cold, the entrees were luke warm, the soup was hot, and one person never got their food .
Great place with real authentic Chinese food.
New location is cleaner and nicer. The food still one of the best Chinese in St Pete
Very good food, sweet & sour chicken
Fish in spicy sauce was great. We ordered green beans, let them talk into a veggie dish that wasn’t bad, just mediocre. We ordered 2 spring rolls, got two orders of 4, so 8 in total. They good but you might want to explain it better. Bathroom was very clean. Best we’ve had in the Tampa/ St Pete area. Much yummier than the yummy house
Best Chinese cuisine in St Pete. And the freshest seafood too!
Food was great! Finally an actual dine in Chinese restaurant that has quality and tasty fresh food. I've looked for a restaurant like this for a while and others have failed. Sharable portions and a lot of variety. The staff helped with recommendations and were very nice. It's a bit more expensive than your average Chinese spot but this isn't your average one. They have many tables but they got filled fast so if you can make a reservation as they do take them. The abc special fried rice was delicious, so was the Peking duck and everything else we ate. Definitely returning. The decoration wasn't the best so I'm giving 4 stars because that and the alexa they have for music wasn't working so there wasn't any music playing when I was there, which is always nice.
I've been going here for 5 plus years would recommend it to

A perfect Chinese-American culinary & dining selection in St. Petersburg, some might even argue THE best one overall! Tom Yum soup and seafood clay pot were exceptionally delicious, and were served very quickly after ordering. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Cannot wait to return!
Easily one of the best authentic Hong Kong style Chinese restaurants in the area. Between the seafood specials and the clay pots, they have a good variety of unique dishes beyond your typical dishes. Some of my personal favorites include the chicken mushroom sausage clay pot, the salty fish and eggplant clay pot, the salt and pepper pork chops, and their oyster special with black bean sauce. Not to mention, whenever I get the check, the total price is always a lot lower than I expect when taking the amount and quality of food you receive.
When I tried to go to their old location a few weeks ago, I was so sad to find a completely different restaurant in their place under completely new management. I was so disappointed thinking that they had closed, when in reality, I just found out this evening that they have moved to where Lucky Star used to be. After our dinner tonight, I can confidently say they are owned by the same people and have what seems to be the same staff and same great quality and taste of food.
One of the very few authentic Chinese restaurants in St Pete. My family is from Flushing NY and when they visit we enjoy coming here when they feel for a little taste of back home. The fried flounder in sweet and sour sauce is excellent! Their beef chow fun is a favorite of mine and pretty much everything I've ordered is prepared wonderfully and reminiscent of restaurants back home in NYC.
New owner. Everything has changed.
New owners, not the same place. Food was still good, but not what it was. Service was still good.
Ordered wonton soup for 4 and seasame chicken and white rice. The soup given was wrong but we let it slide. Never refilled our waters which was annoying. The chicken dish was not great, the rice was OLD and inedible. Horrible service, sat and waited for check that never came so we stood at a counter before another patron finally told us where to pay. Saw people walking out without eating and I kinda wish I had too.
Long time waiting for poor quality food. Very rude people.
A delicious Chinese food restaurant. Recommend to people who wanna try Asian food in Tampa/St. Pete area.
Greatest duck ulong you can get anywhere in the area
Best chinese food here, by far. Everything was amazing. Beef chow fun needed more beef, but still tasted good.
Beef chow fun
1/2 peking duck with baos
Mixed seafood and veg with XO sauce
Salt and pepper calamari
Duck was perfect but a little small
Mixed seafood was tasty and cooked well.
Calamari was perfect. Super seasoned and crispy and addicting.
The food 5 stars, the smell of the restaurant -100 stars. The food is phenomenal but when you walk in the smell hits you like a wall. It's coming from the bathrooms. This horrible dank, mildew, water type smell. The problem is my family loves this place because of the food. I've been here a lot of times the smell ranges in its potency. It often has made me throw up in the bathroom and their toilets don't flush well. Don't go #2 there. Take out is the way to go. Food really is incredible. Anything with XO sauce is good. Salt and pepper calamari are puffed perfection.
The flounder we ordered was clearly spoiled. The head waitress kept on saying she will report to the owner but we still got charged $50+ for a smelly spoiled fish. Will not go back there again.
Great food. Very authentic.
Amazing food!! Fresh and full of favors... best Chinese food we have had in Florida!
It was one of the worst lo main i ever had . Even the can noodles have a better taste , I have never experienced tasteless noodles , I asked for spicy it was litterly just cayenne pepper a bit of salt no taste at all . Paid almost 60 dollars I expected a little more from the this place . The reviews where great smh .
I eat alone so the service is usually poor and this place is no exception.
Just the absolute Best Chinese Food we’ve found since moving here 10 years ago!! Great Gal taking order, super Texture and Flavor!!
Need take out Menus made, pronto!!! I’ll send everyone I know there! Nice Dining room, clean! Great experience!!
Can be improve
Our family enjoyed our dinners tonight! We had the spring rolls, wonton soup, sesame chicken & szechuan chicken. Yum. We've lived in St Pete for years and can't believe we didn't try ABC sooner, we will be back!
Really tasty food and nice service. I feel like the Mongolian beef should have more beef than string beans. A little disappointed, but very tasty.
The best Chinese food you can get in town.
Amazing Cantonese style Chinese cuisine! This is Not your average Chinese/American style restaurant. The food is authentic, fresh and surprisingly quickly served after ordering. See Photos. Highly Recommended
Best service !!
Most delicious !!!
Must recommend!!!! yeah
Best authentic Chinese food in Pinellas Co. Lots of good quality live seafood, excellent chef.
There web site did not indicate that they were closed to the public this Saturday. You can imagine my disappointment when we drove up to a hand written sign that said they had a private party and no admittance to the public.
Better call before you go.
Leaving for month without changing the opening hours on Google ? My Uber fees 🫤
This place NEVER disappoints… well, only when you get somebody that is not so nice on the phone (but you don’t tip for take out)…..
We always order the Clay Hot Pot Bbq ribs and the special pork fried rice and always so yummy. You might get the ocasional too fatty rib, but some people might like that 🤷🏽♀️.
I 100% recommend it !!!
Ah ! And they are open until midnight, so if you a late night eater this is a good thing.
** UPDATE: just found out that the place has Closed … DO NOT GO !
It's a great place. They have vegan options (I believe depending on preparation). Good food, but it does seem to get busy and felt bad for the servers running around like crazy to get to everyone.
It was a great experience for my friends birthday had a great time and the food was amazing will definitely be back 😁👍

I would love to give ABC Seafood Chinese Restaurant a five for its deliciously prepared food and expansive selections of Chinese cuisine. The dining room is clean with good looking furnishings and decor that enhance the meal. It all states this is fine Chinese dining, not a take-out joint.
But the service is substandard to the point we were agitated and worn out trying to have a relaxed evening of dining! The lighting can't be dimmed, so it feels as if you are eating in a cafeteria with the bright glare from the light fixures. A young child sitting on the floor behind the counter without toys or books started screaming during our meal at his older brother who was doing something that aggravated the child.
The waitstaff is abrupt, non-smiling order takers. One waitress was actually running at all times form table to kitchen, which made no sense, since there was no line of people waiting for tables. I actually asked her to stop running, but it did no good.
Drinks are not replenished. Coke cans are left on the table next to your glass. Food dishes are dropped quickly on the table with little regard as to who ordered the dish. Waiter does not stop by to see if everything is ok or what else you need.
Trying to dine with all the commotion including the banging as dirty dishes are cleared from the tables is disturbing.
We loved the food, but were relieved to get out of such a disturbing dining experience.
Awesome
Consistently excellent Chinese food that's not overly americanized. Spicy XO dishes are my favorites. Seafood XO fried rice is always filled with shrimp, whitefish, and scallops. Very reasonably priced.
Recently found this restaurant, and we can't say enough about their food! Just amazing, period.
Food was a bit bland. Used to dine in years ago when they first opened and dishes were so much more flavorful. At that time they were the second of two of the first really authentic chinese restaurants in Pinellas County worth dining at where I could get the NY and CA experience I was accustomed to. Might be better experience if dining in.
This is the best Chinese food in the area. The pecking duck is the best I've found in Pinellas county, I only wish it was served hotter with more sauce. The bao served with it is always fresh and moist which is hard to find. The honey walnut shrimp is delicious. Perfectly flavored and moist. Definitely try the sesame balls and coconut balls and always get a tea with your meal. The inside is unassuming and the service is great. The dishes mentioned are all around $25 (half duck not full) and the portions are more than enough for one person.
Excellent as always! Last evening ( Xmas) was quite busy however the food and service was perfect. Can't believe hosw the kitchen handled the cri
Came in at 10:45. Hours said 11:30. Server told me it was due to Memorial Day but her would ask the kitchen kitchen said yes. Received the bill first for
60.00 and I left a 10:00 tip. Unfortunately he bought my food out in togo containers and my beer Togo. Never told me I had to eat Togo. The food was delicious but the service was terrible.
Hidden gem. Usually when the food's great at Chinese restaurant, the service is bad. This place does it all. 5/5 will recommend.
Great genuine cantonese style seafood. Only dinner, no lunch. Nice service too.
Best Chinese food in town, where the local Chinese community goes.
Fried noodles dish was as good as same dish I had last year in a top hotel in Las Vegas.
Delicious. Like pork fried rice is supposed to be made. Came back the very next day for more :)
Amazing Peking duck
Authentic Chinese food.
Everything here is better than you’ve had in the USA.
7 Stars! Outstanding food and service, will be back!
In St Pete, only three restaurants serve authentic Chinese Cuisine. This place is popular even though I think they changed hand at least once, but the food standard still there. The dishes are considered good but the Peking duck is not up to par. It didn't separate the skin and meat, even worst, most of the pieces are bone-in. In the past, they offered two dishes option for the Peking duck, guess it is too much trouble. Besides that, rest of the dishes are good.
Came here after hurricane Ian knocked our power out. Way bigger than it looks like it would be from outside. We had fried rice, beef stew, and lo mein. Delicious food made very quickly! A great experience, will definitely be coming back.
Thr food was just okay. The szechuan chicken wasn't to my or my friends liking. We took a few bites but ended up leaving the entire dish behind. The Singapore noodles needed more flavor (the pork was super juicy which was the redeeming quality but the shrimp had no flavor). The salt and pepper tofu is the only thing I'd go back for.
Inexpensive, tasty Chinese comfort food. Try their beef or BBQ duck noodle soup.
Best chinese food in Southern Pinellas County
Amazing huge menu with lot of choices, super friendly staff, delicious and beautiful food!!!
Good Cantonese-style cuisine. They have live seafood tanks in the rear, near the restroom area.
The restaurant was clean but understaffed. The servers were friendly but unattentive. The food was served hot and with good presentation. The dishes were tasty. Plus they have a very wide menu selection.
The decor / atmosphere and service could be better. However, if you're going out to eat primarily for the food, then this is the place to be.
One caveat, restaurants in this town tend to change hands/cooks frequently. -- May 2022.
Follow-up visits:
Visited this establishment several times subsequent to my initial review. The food is inconsistent, sometimes resulting in a very disappointing meal. Servers bring food out with no regard to order (ie appetizers or soup before entre), and cop an attitude if you request otherwise. Sometimes the requests are not even honored. -- Dec 2022.
Definitely surprised when the family ordered Chinese and this was amazing. I can’t wait to order again. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The crab Rangoon and spring rolls were not pleasant. None of us liked them. Mushy, fishy, weird.
Out of all the Chinese in the area this is up there with the best choice.
Authentic Chinese food in a great atmosphere, food was delicious and quick.
The food was not good as it was before. Could be under new management?
Another amazing meal in a long string of visits.
Fantastic authentic Chinese food.
