I wasnt very impressed with the food. All of it went in the trash and what follows is why. I also spoke with the restaurant and was not offered a refund- even though they were at fault. The tofu that came in the curry was fried in something so i removed it from my food. I have a wheat allergy and didnt want to risk it. It also wasnt specified the tofu WOULD be fried in the curry as currys typically do not come with fried tofu- at least- it said tofu- not fried tofu. i eat alot of thai food and ive never seen it previously. Also the absolute worst customer service i have ever received from a thai restaurant. Food was improperly packaged- the green curry came in aluminum foil inside styrofoam and wasnt even folded close. All the curry was out of the package by arrival and i was left with a few vegetables. When i spoke with the restaurant i was informed it was the delivery services fault and i would need to contact them for a new order. This is obviously because the restaurant is 1) theyre too cheap to buy proper packaging for liquids, and 2) they wanted door dash to replace the entire order so they could recieve payment twice for the same meal. And myself? I paid 20 dollars for a messy lunch portion that went directly in the trash and was refused a refund.

The service was good. The sushi is average. My wife had a chicken soup that she says was great. We only had sushi and it was average. It seems that if you become a regular it may be for the atmosphere and personal attention.
This is an edit after the owner's reply. We did have two items that were 6 dollars, something safe that should be the same everywhere. However, we had two rolls that were over 12 dollars and they were average for me. I did not say the food was bad just not exceptional. My bill for two people was over 50 dollars and I just personally didn't fall in love with it. Maybe others will have a different experience, but mine was average.

They used to use door dash and still appear on the app. Ordered them through doordash and waited over an hour to find out sushi spices old owner used them [dd] but the new one doesnt [per door dash], but hasn't taken themselves off the app yet. Please take responsibility and stop advertising your business on a platform you dont use.

Place is nicely decorated and adequately priced. However, there was a piece of plastic on my miso soup and service was very very slow. We had to ask the owner where to sit while the sushi chef looked at his tablet. When the waitress finally came to bring us our check, while really nice, she was talking on the phone with her ear piece on. Our drinks were never filled and I had to call out so we could pay. Never again.

HORRIBLE costume service and the food was ok. Do to a bad experience we were mistreated and the man did not was to hear us out to us and hung up the phone. We were not rude we just question why loose curry was in a to go box and not in a tupaware because it spilled inside the bag. I feel that all the so clam "5 stars" only happen because they asked family and friends to write a review.

The absolute best Sushi in the Tampa Bay area.Great bang for your buck.Fast service,attention to detail and friendly environment to eat.We have covered most of the Sushi restaurants in the Bay area, but once we found this lovely,delicious place,we choose to only go there when we get an itch for sushi.

We absolutely love this place. I travel for business and have never found a better yellow curry. Sushi Spice is amazing and I eat there at least 10 times every month when I'm in town.

My husband and I absolutely love it here, the atmosphere is pleasant, welcoming, and the service is excellent. The ragoon is a little different than what we are use to but everything was amazing and fresh.

Amazing food! I'm super impressed with the food and service! I highly recommend the pad Thai, chicken curry (the one I had was a peanut butter-like curry) and their fried bananas with honey drizzle! My boyfriend loves this place too and swears by the soups!

Just ordered crunchy roll, meso soup and the teryaki chicken meal. All came very well prepared and tasted wonderful. I've tried a lot of sushi spots some more high end than others. And this is some of the best I've had, honestly. I would recommend this 10/10.

First time there since the new owners took over. Nice new menus. Very attentive. The Philly roll was really good. Some of the most flavorful smoked salmon ever tasted. The crowds haven't discovered it yet. Very enjoyable experience.

We have visited this please 2-3 times a month for 6 months and still get the best food in town.

As an avid sushi enthusiast I can confidently say that my recent experience at Sushi Spice consisted of the absolutely worst taste and texture to date. The shrimp and salmon smelled rancid, the rice was dry, and the vegetables seemed long dead. Terrible service and even worse food. 0/5 stars.

This place is phenomenal, the freshest sushi I have ever had. Thai food is fantastic, friendly, helpful staff. An all around great place. Would recommend it to everyone.

Yesterday at 330 I was waiting for restaurant to reopen at 430. An employee came to my car and said she didn't want me to have to wait so she offered to fix my order during their closed hours. She was so kind! This was definitely extraordinary customer service!!!! They care about their customers! Thanks so much!! P.S. and the food is phenomenal!

This is the best place for sushi in the area! I have lived in the Tampa Bay Area for over 10 years and this is the absolute best sushi. I have been coming here for about 6 months and will continue for as long as possible. The portions, the price, the taste and even the service is so spot on. I always recommend this place to friends and look forward to coming back each and every time!

Great place! I accidentally recieved mail that was supposed to go to sushi spice. I called them and they offered to pick up the mail but I left the owners know I could drop it off. The owners were kind enough to feed me in exchange for bring ing mail by. They were very kind and the service while at the restaurant was excellent and the food was great as well! My husband and I recently moved to the area. I was so excited to try the pad Thai here as I haven't been able to find anything comparable to my favorite local restaurant that I would literally drive hours to visit. So my mother invited me and my husband out tonight, and they ordered sushi, no complaints, her boyfriend ordered soup that he cancelled because it never came. I ordered beef pad Thai. A plate made it to the table, it was obviously chicken pad Thai. Eh no big deal I'll tolerate chicken, but I checked with the waiter to make sure there wasn't a price difference (in most restaurants there is) he responded with what? And I had to explain it was chicken, not beef. He then said no n that's white beef. I'm sitting there I disbelief. I explain no, but it's okay so long as there isn't a price difference. He said there isn't but it is white beef, I'm going to talk to the cook to verify. He comes back and says it is chicken he gave me the wrong order. I'm not upset, I was willing to keep what I had, but he insisted he would switch it out. No complaints about the food, it was very good. I was looking forward to coming back even with all of the craziness. Then my husband went to pay. He was trying to politely explain to the owner what had happened and keep in mind we still had intentions of coming back, but the owner accused us of calling the egg in pad Thai white beef. Apparently we were the cause of all of the issues. Please tell your wife she did a wonderful job, it's the best Thai I've had in a while. Unfortunately after dropping nearly 100 dollars on food after tip (yes after no soup and the white beef we still tipped) we will never be back.

Awesome service and awesome food specially for vegetarians like me. I am really impressed with the service as its my first visit. We tried Japanese and Thai veggie food. It was superb. Want to visit again and want to tell my friends about this restaurant.

Driving by, saw this restaurant despite being hidden in a strip mall behind a McDonald's. Great food. Service was l little slow due to being short staff, but the two owners held forth. Seems to be a struggling new restaurant worthy of support. They have mine. Will be back again.

Awesome hidden gem! I have lived next door to this place for 2 years and wish I hadn't waited so long to try their sushi. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful with making the choices for sushi easier, and the sushi chef was an absolute delight to watch create his masterpieces. Definitely will visit again! My suggestion is to order multiple things so you can try different things. Don't forget the eel sauce aka yum yum sauce.

First time coming here and I was BEYOND impressed. I am a big fan of pad Thai, so naturally seeing it on the menu I had to get it. THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!! They have the best food! So many selections not just sushi and not just spicy food! I had the sexy woman roll and the california roll, it was delicious. Me and my girlfriend also had the chicken yellow curry and chicken pad thai, best I've ever had. We tried the thai tea, it was delicious! We also got crab ragoons & the house salad with ginger dressing. Everything was so good and the best I've ever had! The place is clean and comfortable. They also deliver, definitely will be eating here again. You won't regret eating here. There something to try for everyone!

We had gyoza and spring rolls ....... both delicious and beautifully presented. 2 sushi rolls for me ---- fresh and VERY tasty!!! Cashew chicken was the same story - absolutely fantastic and large portion. Amazing Eggplant was just that. Better than any other Thai restaurant anywhere and a HUGE portion. Restaurant was nicely decorated and comfortable. VERY clean, which is a must for me. We will definitely be back. Often.

Though the sushi was decent, the service left something to be desired. Ken's Sushi on Gulf to Bay is MUCH better.
My boyfriend ordered Tom Yum and it never came. We ordered a bottle of Saki and only one cup was brought, we had to ask for three more. My daughter ordered Beef Pad Thai. When her order arrived, it was chicken. The waiter came to check on us and she let him know about the mix up. His response was "that's beef... We have white beef here." We insisted it was chicken. He checked with the kitchen and brought her the correct dish.

I originally enjoyed the food here. Last few times the waiter who is also the owner really annoyed me and the people I ate with. The guy is a know it all, condescending, and rude. I didn't go there with guests from out of town to socialize with him. He goes on about HIS life, HIS knowledge of wine (even if you dont drink and clearly say so), and just won't shut his face. Let the patrons eat and stop with the nonsense about your life, ego problems wreck people. We won't be back, do not need the energy there.

I work next door at side pockets and I eat here frequently, even sometimes when I’m not working. The food tastes fantastic, is reasonably priced, good portions, and they have a good atmosphere.

HORRIBLE! Me and my girlfriend ate here last week and shared a couple rolls. I immediately noticed that the portions of fish compared to the rice was near to none and there was not much of any flavor... definately the worest sushi I’ve had in this area I would try rain sushi right down the street.... not to mention by the time we got home we were both already feeling sick & Ended up with FOOD POISONING for multiple days as a result... what a mistake!

We are locals here, so we have our choice of Sushi Restaurants to visit. Out of all of them in our area, Sushi Spice is our favorite. The food is always fresh, comes out quickly and the service is very personal. The Owners are always there, and recognize us when we come in. I lost my wallet there a few months ago, the Owner Larry made sure I got it returned to me. We've never had a bad experience at Sushi Spice! Highly recommend it to you! 🍣

Amazing service and amazing food! This was our first time here and the staff was so friendly and the coursing was timed perfectly. The sushi chef recognized that it was our first time and made a specific point to welcome us. Our sushi was very fresh and a great blend of flavors.

Very good, really fresh and food displayed nicely. I had Cashew Chicken. Spells had Thai Tuna lunch specials. Both came with ginger salad or soup and eggroll. Ice Tea was just right. We will definitely be back. Tuesday is dollar 🍣 Sushi. .

This is the third reinvention of this restaurant since I first ate here but am pleased to say that it remains a decent place for sushi. It's not Kikus but it's still quite good and the price is reasonable.

Shockingly decieving from the outside, Sushi Spice offers fresh sushi at reasonable pricing. My son and I went for lunch and really enjoyed everything! We will be back!

AH-MAZING! I got the Mexican roll and having been disappointed at multiple places and only finding one I liked I didn't expect much. But I was...wrong! It was the best I've had so far. Very attentive, friendly owner/ greeter/waiter Larry, whose wife, Beam, is the chef. Everything is fresh and made to order.

My mom worked here and one day I came and my mom served me alot of awesome things and the managers son had a xbox one and let me play overwatch.

Delightful!!! We had Sushi and it was so fresh!! Presentation was Wonderful !!!!!Rolls are very large and very tasty. Owner suggested coconut soup and it was delicious. Great Atmosphere and very friendly. This place is a treasure!!!!

New ownership! What an improvement! We loved the Sushi ( Tempura and Spicy Salmon) and Masaman with Duck were absolutely outstanding. The owner is very pleasant and so is his wife, who is the cook here.
We will be back for sure!

Everything was perfect. Clean, food is delicious people very very nice. I would highly recommend. They are open on Mondays now as well.

Excellent tasting pad see ew take out, I will be ordering many many more to come. It's very hard to find good tasting thai food around here, and lucky for me this place is only a five minute drive away. I Ordered it with shrimp. It was juicy, flavorful, and very yummy!!!! Thanks !!!
