Absolutely delicious Thai food! I had the Pad Tofu with mid-way spice level, and it was perfect. As we were sitting down, a couple had been leaving and advised us to try the Rib-eye in the peppercorn sauce. My boyfriend got that and said it was amazing, and had tears of joy as he ate it, mostly because he over-estimated his spice tolerance, but also because he said it was that good.
You won't find better Thai food in Flagler or St. Johns County than this.
We were so shocked when we received our take out order this Saturday. We ordered four meals and only received three of them. The portions were small and the beef in one meal and the chicken in the other meal was so over cooked and dry. We’ve eaten here before and have always had a great meal, but I think things have definitely changed and we will not be eating here again.
I have enjoyed Thai by Thai at least 20 times, figured it was time to post a review. This is my go-to place when I want high quality food. Best food in 50 mile radius. The trick here is to take it the way they prepare it, they know best, trust me, always great. The owner seems to recognize me and always offers a recommendation, and I always take his recommendation. Always satisfied!
The food was amazing, but our visit was slightly marred by the fact that neither bathroom was functioning, preventing us from washing our hands. We were curious about their hygiene practices given the lack of working restrooms. Were it not for this issue, I would have rated this establishment a 8/10.
Good food. I had a late lunch/early dinner, and the place was pretty empty, which was nice. I like going to restaurants after the lunch crowd and before the dinner crowd. It's Thai, so it's usually spicy, and I asked for it spicy. It had the perfect heat and flavor. I believe I had #73. It was the spicy seafood with fried rice. Very good. I wouldn't call it a huge portion, but it was a good size. I ate it all and was full. I'll probably go back. There are so many places I want to try in Palm Coast and the surrounding areas.
Stopped serving sushi at the begining of the year. All sushi signs are still in the window!
I gave the food one star because after 40 minutes our shrimp in blankets was no where to be seen. We got an apology when I went and talked to the owner but the food never arrived. We cut our losses and left. We‘ve been long time customers but this will be out last time. Pitiful.

Slipped a little. No longer serves sushi even though still on menu. Small portions. Quality of food good. Service is excellent but owner appears to be a little rough on the staff.
We were greeted with smiling faces, service was great and food was awesome! Mom had the Crispy Duck and I had the seafood special...Excellent!

This is one of the worst restaurants that I have been to. Service is worst by far by tye owner SHA. We order TOM KHA soup and they put too much fish sauce and it’s eating like fish sauce. We were having discussion and out of the blue he took out the menu’s before we even order the food. TOTALLY RUDE and unnecessary. Please avoid this restaurant at all costs. I would have given zero rating. We paid for the items that we ordered and we didn’t even eat and came out of the restaurant right away. I’m not even sure how he is running this restaurant with this kind of attitude. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED
Best Thai restaurant in the area, very close to the food actually in Thailand. Absolutely delicious, and not overpriced like other Thai restaurants (that don't even taste like Thai food at all).

This place is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is outstanding. Our group of four (two adults and two kids) all loved it. I highly recommend it. As of January 14, 2025, there’s a “for sale” sign. I hope the new owner keeps it just the way it is—it’s a gem in Palm Coast.
Yummy food! Great staff!

The food was divine. True authentic Thai cuisine beautifully served. This will become your favorite Thai restaurant. I wish I lived in Palm Coast just so u could eat here weekly! The owner, staff and service were friendly and exceptional.
We love Thai by Thai. Yummy food and great service.
Had an amazing late lunch. We ordered: seaweed salad, edamame, Tonkatsu Ramen, Papaya Salad, Chicken Red Curry, pineapple Fried Rice , Spring Rolls and California Roll. Everything was delicious! Curry a tad spicy but everything on point and tasty!! Wish we would have taken pics ❤️
Thank you so much for the delicious food. I am writing this review as I finish it.
From the seating to the serving of food, I knew I was going to have a hearty meal. It brought so many memories from back home somewhere in Asia. I am so surprised to have the rice served solely on a plate and the salmon curried soup in a bowl with a spoon and fork as this is exactly how we ate back home. No rice bowls. Everything on a plate starting with rice, even with soup, you have to scoop it with your spoon and fork. I felt so at home so thank you for the nostalgic experience. Ive been so used to eating western food with a knife and a fork and no spoon in sight (reserved for soups).
The salmon curried rice is so delicious and it reminds me of my grandma’s fish soup :’)
This memory will stay with me forever. Thank you Thai by Thai.
Everybody is so attentive and cheerful and its so refreshing to see.
The owner and the older server man were very rude. I told him to swipe the first card and then the second to clear the balance. The older guy gave me a dirty look. The owner came and did what the machine was automatically capable of doing. He teared my receipt up, not allowing me to even tip and told me to go home. Terrible customer service; very hostile and unpleasant.
During the day we love the food prepared by the chef the evening chef is not as talented and we didn't enjoy his cooking as much as our lunch visits. We had curry and also usually we get the chicken skewers with a peanut sauce but this time they just tasted sour. The curry Lacked depth of flavor. Disappointed after many good experiences earlier
Best Thai food ever. I love this place.
Reliable quality! The owner frequently will help create a dish off menu based on what I am craving that day...can't ask for anything better than that!

The food is amazing. But on a Saturday at 730 PM- I was turned away because you’re closed? How do you close so early on a Saturday night? One star because I will not be back because the food is delicious. Owner WILL not let you CHANGE anything or share tips with servers.
Shaw makes the Best Thai Food hands Down!!
It was first time at this place the other day with my gf and she wanted to try authentic ramen so I said ok and I get sushi I usually order from fancy sushi and get 2 salmon rolls and 1 tuna and it comes in nori style. On this places menu it doesn't state u need to ask what kind of salmon roll u want or anything like that I saw pics online of the nori so I thought they had it. I order my food and they brought me it and it had all the rice on the outside and sesame seeds on it I tell him it’s wrong and they take it back and I tell him I want nori and the owner comes over to me and says you should have told him how u wanted it and says he can’t remake it “not enough fish he says” 24 dollar sushi too. And the service was terrible no personality everyone there were just completely rude after I complained we got treated differently. And it also got me sick I have food poisoning now after eating here so I would not recommend at all if u want sushi. I will not be back.
Everyone was extremely rude. They made my boyfriend’s sushi wrong and when asked to take it back made an excuse that they couldn’t remake $24 dollar sushi. Gave us dirty looks when walking past us. I had to sit back and cross my arms just for them to notice that we were done eating and wanted the check. Not even a check up on us. Super rude. Can’t speak a lick of English either. Also gave my boyfriend food poisoning. Place was extremely dirty and unprofessional. Please if you value your stomachs, avoid this place. 1 star. Very disappointed.
We went in, and the specials looked great. My friend had the duck dish off of the specials menu, and I spoke with Shaw, the owner, and he asked me what I typically liked, and he picked an amazing dish for me. The Tom Kha soup was the best I ever had. I will definitely be back.
Been going here a lot. Food is very good and lunch is fairly priced. Some more pictures of dishes would help with decisions. Many choices.
This place has very good Thai food. They have a spacious restaurant, but the parking isn't the best. The food is fresh, but they bring it out very fast. This is not the place to sit and enjoy a relaxing meal. It feels rushed, but the food is fresh and tasty.
Thai at its very finest!
We're absolutely addicted! Ask the owner to suggest a special to you.
Quality ingredients. Intricate flavors. Genuine wagyu. I get drunk on deliciousness!!
Sticky tables, poor communication. Rushed service. Thai tastes like dirty dish water. Awful first experience.
Stay away from this place. The food was terrible. Pineapple fried rice was not even get any pineapples in it (2 little pieces) no flavor of pineapple, No Thai tea at all, and owner was so rude to me.
Same delicious food as the previous place but gone is the Thai inspired attire the wait staff used to wear. I really don't like being waited on by the owner in his ratty jeans, cap and flip flops... very sloppy.
Thai by Thai use to be the best in palm coast. Wellll now we are getting other thai food restaurants such at “far east fusion” and “Thai and I”
Thai by Thai will soon be a thing of the past because the portion sizes have gotten so incredibly small yet they still keep raising the prices… it’s sad. What once was an amazing and humble hole in the wall has unfortunately become a thing of the past for my family.
They are a little pricey for Thai but their food is delicious!
Love the pad thai.
very delicious food never disappointing always excellent service
I placed a pick up order for Cashew beef and when I got home the amount of food actual food in the container was joke. Their serving sizes have gotten smaller and smaller but their prices have gotten higher and higher. They charge 18 dollars for a full serving of rice and about a 1/3 serving of actual food. What joke. I won't be ordering food from them anymore. For anyone who orders pick up, make sure to check your order before leaving. Ive ordered from other Thai places and they always fill the container with food and give you a full serving of rice. The portions are joke here now.
Had there food before wasn’t the best wasn’t the worst. Came to get food haven’t eaten all day. Went up to the cash register and got ignored will never come back
Food was great, waiters and waitresses were on point, owner was around and he genuinely cares. I could honestly taste the quality.
Please don’t waste your time or your money in this place! It’s not worth it! Terrible customer service, they are understaffed and treat you pretty bad, very rude people. I’ve never seen something like that. People there are not minimally kind or respectful. I do NOT recommend!!
The view of dirty cleaning supplies right at the entrance should have been an indication. Clearly understaffed restaurants equal poor service and lousy food. 👎👎
Great food. We love Eggbomb. Nice atmosphere - easy and friendly.
I have no clue why the guy at the cash register up front is so rude and nasty! I think he is the owner and I was warned that the people who owned it were horrible people but I still gave them a try and it kicked me in the butt. First he was really rude on the phone when I was trying to make my order just bc I couldn’t understand him. He can barely speak English. But then I go pick up my chicken pad Thai that I ordered bring it home and there are three tiny pieces of chicken in my order so I call and ask what happened and he calls me a liar, saying that this is their portion of chicken that they put on every order And then get really aggressive with me over the phone telling me what a horrible person I am because I called and questioned paying for three tiny pieces of chicken. I took a picture so that everyone could see before I even touched the food. I stirred up thinking I missed some pieces maybe on the bottom And what is on top in the picture is all that I found and they made me pay $18 for that. Do not go there and waste your money and support people who are so rude and nasty and will call you a liar if you have any problem with their food.
Love the food.
I didn’t even get as far as to be able to eat at this place and will never eat there. I called today for an easy to go order because I was in a hurry and I had a whole conversation with the guy that answered the phone about what I would like. then he proceeds to tell me that they aren’t going to start making my order until I get there because they’re busy!! Now, I have eaten at a gazillion Thai restaurants over the years….. I’ve been to Thailand numerous times and never have I experienced something like that at any Thai place or really any restaurant for that matter. if they are too busy to take to go orders, he should’ve said that when I first called and I would’ve just went elsewhere anyway like I did. The whole purpose of calling for her to go order, so I could just go pay for it and pick it up. Not sit there and wait for them to make it. Obviously, that totally defeats the purpose of calling in a to go order🙄 That was literally unbelievable.
Amazing food and owner is awsome. Definitely try the chicken wings. So good.
Very good food. The sushi rolls are large for 8 pieces. BIG bites! Alaska roll. Very filling.
Very expensive for what you get… the food is not good.. palm coast have other better options to go…
Got the pad himmaparn and it was fantastic. One of my favorite Thai dishes. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Faster than fast food!
Very good food but small portions. Gets 3 stars for rude, borderline anti-social waiter. This man must be the owner or relative as there’s no way he should be working in the service industry. It’s unfortunate, this place has potential. On the plus side, a younger White male waiter (who took over our order after the first guy passed us off) was exceptional. Business advice: Get the grumpy and unprofessional guy out of your dining area and give him work away from customers..
Follow-up post: We recently had another lunch at this place and were greeted by the same man I previously complained about. This experience was perfect in every way. He was courteous, friendly, and helpful. I guess everybody has a bad day now and then..
Great food as always. You can always expect consistency and outstanding service. Their menu expansive and delicious.
I will begin this review by saying my comments are based on a takeout experience. I have not eaten in this restaurant for about two years and cannot comment on the current dining experience in the restaurant. I have also eaten at many Thai restaurants in different parts of the world and love authentic Thai food. My experience on a very large takeout order that included six entrees was abysmal. I should have seen the red flags when I tried to place the order on the phone. The gentleman cut me off mid order and asked for the name indicating I was done. I had to explain that no, I still would like to order more items. I had barely finished speaking and he then hung up on me. A second phone call to indicate spice levels after he did not allow me the opportunity resulted in a semi acknowledgement before he hung up on me again. The same rudeness occurred when I picked up the order and would have been overlooked if it were not for the poor food outcome. One entree, the Pad See Ew, seemed to be missing half of the serving and was the size of an appetizer. The curry that was ordered requesting no protein just lots of veggies, was not only free of protein but was also free of almost any veggies. The curry itself seemed like it had been watered down. The fried rice lacked any flavor at all. The only positive comments were from those that had the Pad Thai. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend ordering from Thai by Thai.
Great Thai food with reasonable prices. They also serve some Japanese dishes and sushi. If you like Thai food, this is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. It is actual Thai food, not Chinese with the Thai name.
This is probably the best Thai food I’ve had in the US. If you’ve never been here you must try it. The dishes are all authentic and so delicious. The big menu and rotating specials ensure you will always have something interesting and delicious to try!
My mom loves Thai, so we had to try this place! Portion sizes were generous and we had so many options to choose from. Service was great and very attentive!
Amazing food great staff owner is the best hands down favorite place to eat only thai food I ever eat at and always satisfied -mario
Green curry was awesome. 3 people at my table had the Tiger Crying beef and LOVED it. Always happy with this place. Will be back!
Delicious food although felt very rushed as if closing time was imminent... there was still 45 minutes to go before that time! No complaints on the food though!
What more is there to say. :)
Amazing Thai food! I have been to so many different Thai restaurants all over, and this was probably the best I’ve ever had. Red curry, fried rice, pad Thai, and drunken noodles were all excellent. Really wish it was closer to where we live.
The food is incredible service exceptional
First time trying Thai Food. # 65 on menu with pork was very good big serving took half of the dinner home to eat today for dinner. Would highly recommend.
Amazingly delicious food! So many options. Very good quality, fresh sushi as well!
I have only eaten there twice, but both times the food was excellent.
I love spicy 🔥 food, but a word to the wise " Hot means Hot" there.
Will definitely be returning.
Looking for a new place for date night? The food is fresh and delicious but the atmosphere is a bit hokey. Good portion size. We will definitely be back.
One of the best Thai food restaurants I have eaten at. Don't waste your time going somewhere else. 10 ⭐ if there is such a thing. Great service they are definitely passionate about the food and service. Loved it 4 sure. I had the dry Ranm with the dry tip wagyw is a special that is not on the menu I do suggest asking for it.
There was no wait time. We were greeted with a smile and we were introduced to Thai food in a phenomenal way. They asked questions, they provided options and gave recommendations based on our answers. Then, we were just blown away by the exquisite flavors of the food. It truly felt fresh. They are true to their focus on great ingredients. Just an awesome date night with my wife. We'll definitely be making this specific restaurant a tradition for us.
I got sick after eating dinner there
Customer service was great until I tried telling the gentleman that served the sushi that it was burnt and not seared. I requested to remove tempura shrimp from order and was adamant on paying for food that as a customer I did not enjoy. He then told me to not come back to the restaurant for not enjoying the burnt Volcano roll he had served.
The atmosphere was relaxing, music made it easy carry on a conversation, and the food was delicious with very generous proportions The whole style with the fantastic staff, we found a beautiful place and we will come back with family and friends,
I am always blown away by how good their food is. The sushi is the best in town ans the other dishes are full of flavor.
Delicious ramen and the scenery inside is adorable
The food was slimy as frozen and rethawed or grossly undercooked. I didn't eat it . They charged me full price without trying to fix the order. I will never be back. I'm a Ole x gen, hav eaten a lot of Thai food including in Thialand and this
hands down the worst I've tried. it was undercooked overwhealming incorrect flavor and slimy. I guess there is a reason the resteraunt was empty at lunch time! YUCK!
SERVICE OK, ATHMOSPHERE WAS OK, FOOD , JUST GROSS!
Went to this place yesterday for the first time. The was food was very good, however our waiter ruined my experience. We (as in the group of 3 I went with) were constantly rushed to order, despite being our first time. The waiter also had no knowledge of the menu as we asked for several things that they advertise online, just to be told that they don't have that. He was also very full of attitude, and didn't have much respect for the group. I didn't tip as its been a very long time since I've had horrible service, just for him to come after asking for one. Told us to "order takeout next time."
Like most other red-blooded Americans, when I go to a restaurant, I tell the server what I want in order to get my meal. You can certainly do that at Thai by Thai as well, but you will get a premium experience if you let the server choose the right meal for you instead. I am never disappointed at Thai by Thai. Their neverending specials are hand picked by their staff and feature only the freshest and most authentic ingredients. Jungle curry with shrimp was one of my favorites. Recently I had the wagyu ribeye which just melted in my mouth. Sushi at a Thai restaurant as well? You bet, and it will knock your socks off! The sushi rice is expertly seasoned to perfection and the fish is always fresh.
Awesome all around! I had the crispy duck and it was perfect. The staff was excellent. They got us in right away. 10/10 would come again. Ps remember Thai spicy is very spicy.
Reasonable price for decent quality
Overall good place to eat. During the virus we ordered their take out. I wasn't happy with the portion size and the food was just, ok. Normally very good. Staff are very friendly.
The people here were warm and friendly, the food was good and decent pricing. 👍
Ordered take out , shrimp fried rice and soup.....the rice was clumpy and the shrimp was scare, very disappointed
I love drunken noodle, they have it.
Curry is real good
Good food but costumer service is horrible. Their operation hours state open until 8pm. When I arrived 40 min before closing they do not except you to be seated. Not first time. Even though they have open seating. WILL NEVER ORDER OR GO THERE AGAIN.
We just stopped after I googled Thai restaurants on our way to Savannah. So glad we did! The drunken noodles were amazing as well as the staff. We will definitely be going back on our way home. 😋
My boyfriend and I went out to lunch a couple days ago… the food was pretty good. Our waitress was very sweet. Although, right after we left the restaurant, my boyfriend felt sick and immediately vomited. I believed he had got food poisoning.
Real excellent food
Great Thai I drive up from Daytona to eat here
Food was good. Felt a little put off when asked if we had a reservation, we said no, then we're sat in a different area of the restaurant. But the food was good and service not too bad.
Food was delicious and the portion size just right. Definitely recommended
Very disappointing. Tom Yum soup was just bland broth. We both had duck - both menu options. Presentation was poor and portions were small. Very mediocre and not inexpensive.
It's really hard to trust reviews in Palm Coast. The standard for what constitutes "excellent food" is so abysmally low I'd be surprised if McDonalds isn't a 4 star restaurant around here.
With that being said, people who love the food here must have never been to a place like Thai Kitchen in Port Orange which is significantly better. I literally drive 45 minutes to pick up food because this place doesn't even compare and that's if you can get your order into the rude owner who treats his staff like garbage -- chewing out people in front of patrons is wholly unacceptable.
Fresh Sushi with a good menu to choose from! Highly recommend trying this place.
The Worst place in Palm Coast to Eat no wifi nasty owner!!!! THE WORSE PLACE EVER GUYS THEY ARE 1000 Tai restaurants around why this Nasty place.
Probably the best Thai food in Palm Coast area and very friendly staff and owner!
Beautiful restaurant. The best restaurant in Flagler County. The chef has talent. Shaw brings out different types of dishes once in a while to test! The sushi is very good grade. Would love more variety but I know it not easy. So Many different options. Love it.
The food is always really good, but I feel like the take away portions are like 1/2 size and I'm always sad when I open my food.
No Delivery.
Great little family run Thai restaurant. They have excellent Thai food. Order a number of dishes like pad kra poa, pad see ew, and some sushi. Friendly and kid safe. I will definitely recommend this place.
We were in the area for a few days and my grandson suggested thai couldn't of been a better choice fantastic food great employee 's 5 + service
The food is OK. The service is pretty bad, especially if they are the least bit busy. It took us 45 minutes to even get the soup and that was after having to remind them 3 times. They are the only thing open on Mondays so it is too busy then, but it is the only game in town for Tai on that day of the week because the much better Tai restaurant, Mamalings, is closed. We also went the last time during the cold snap and they had no heat on and it was freezing. Finally, the last two times they got the kind of meat wrong in the dish versus what we ordered.
I'm new to the area, but I love pad Thai!!
When I Saw this restaurant "Thai by Thai" I thought AWESOME!!! 💪🏼💯
The portion was super small, for the Expensive price tag!💯, and it was the worst pad Thai I have ever had in my life, but whatever they served me was tasty. It just wasn't Pad Thai! 🤷🏼♂️
I will go back again because I saw some of the Pho people had, And That Looked Amazing!
Nope,Not for me...
Food was very Blahh...
And Service absolutely Sucked.... the male server seemed to forget about us 😕 😔 and not even an apology...
While we sat there for 20-25 min. Waiting on Drinks after we got our (Food) 🤮🤮
Awful!! My Second try but never again.
We ordered the Larb with Chicken and there was barely anything in the container and Tom kha Gai was so little that it almost appeared like someone had taken sips out of the container. The fried rice with shrimp was a small portion for dinner , which would make sense for lunch. The only redeeming thing was the Mango with Sticky Rice for dessert.
I love this place. The portions are not as generous as I would hope for the prices, but they are delicious enough for me to keep paying them. I haven't had anything on the menu that isn't good. The service is also great. Everyone is very friendly, patient and helpful. The restaurant is clean and has good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Thai by Thai.
Absolutely delicious! I’m so glad we found this place. We are picky eaters and this restaurant really knocked it out of the park!
I have never written a review for a restaurant but this is by far the best ramen I have had in my entire life. The flavors are absolutely incredible. The crispy spring rolls are also amazing as well. I highly recommend you try this place out and I will be coming back again!
I am blown away by the food here. Japanese or Thai, I'm a huge fan. Drunken noodles and tuna tataki, and curry delicious dishes are just at a few of my favorite things. Oh wait, don't forget to follow that with hot sake😁
We have tried a few Thai places around Ormond and Daytona and Thai by Thai has thus far been the best as far as flavor and authentic spice/heat level. We ordered chicken drunken noodles (medium), chicken cashew nut (medium), chicken massaman curry (thai spicy) and all three dishes were very good. The reason for 4 versus 5 stars is the portion size. Other Thai restaurants we have tried for lunch have had larger portion sizes for less money. If Thai by Thai could bump up their portion sizes without increasing their prices, since they are already more money than a few others, they'd easily have 5 stars.
My family has been visiting Chaw & the staff at Thai by Thai since they first opened in the old Publix shopping center. I have yet to ever find a better Thai restaurant. The food & sushi is always phenomenal, and I have never had a poor experience in all the years we have been coming.
First time I came here I ordered takeout. The staff was nice and the food was delicious although it could have used more shrimp and crab meat in the dish(shrimp and crab meat fried rice). I liked it so much I decided to come again but to dine in. Big mistake. The whole process was rushed... literally was there for less than 30 mins. The food came out way to quick which had me thinking did they already have this made and just re-heated it. The portion I received for the drunken noodles were way too small and barely had any pork. The food was good but compared to the price just not worth it….Would probably never come here again.
All I say is; this is without a doubt, the best Thai food in central Florida, maybe all of Florida! What a great find, I’ll definitely be coming back to Palm Coast just for Thai by Thai!
First time there and first experience with thai food. It was very good. We have been back several times it is the best Thai restaurant around we drive from St. Augustine just too eat here. Definitely our favorite place.
Went to lunch today at Thai by Thai. The waiter had on an old t-shirt that was visibly dirty. My food was brought out first, then 4-5+ minutes went by before my friend's food arrived. Both arrived cold, so we asked to have them heated up. The Panang Curry was not very good, not real Thai. Food was fresh, just OK, certainly not good Thai.
very small portion and prices were wrong on the menu - said there is an updated menu. $28 for small portion of fried rice and some greasy fried shrimp very disappointed
This is my favorite restaurant! Even though this is a Thai restaurant, the sushi is fresh and delicious (the best I have ever had) too. The owner and staff are friendly, hardworking, and happy to make recommendations. I try something new every time I go and I have loved all if it. The traditional Thai dishes are my very favorite. Ask the owner for suggestions and you will not be disappointed. My kids love it too. They usually order a ramen bowl or that Ladna. We are so happy we found this gem it is worth the drive!
Authentic Thai food! Delicious food! Pad See Ewe, Pad Thai and crab fried rice - yummy! Will try rest of the menu in future visits.
My absolute favorite restaurant in PalmCoast, We literally let Shaw take our menus and advise what to order. I have yet to have anything i didn’t highly enjoy here. Every meal has been a great experience and I always look forward to trying something new. Food is fresh with great authentic flavors, any chance I get to take friends and family to lunch/dinner I’m always excited to bring them to Thai by Thai, it is also one of the longest running restaurants here in town and for good reason.
Thai by Thai has been the standard for me judging all other Thai food for many years. Visited today first time since the pandemic debacle. Service was great and the food tasted as expected. Portions has seemed to decrease like 10% and of course the prices have increased as everywhere. $24 for just myself for lunch not including tip. Cant afford to revisit but maybe once every couple months… Maybe… Food is good and they know it. Not as busy as it was pre-pandemic. Worth the visit if you can afford it.
Dinner was amazing! My favorite Thai restaurant in Palm Coast… Pad Thai was Fantastic!!!!The Ramen is amazing as well!!! Beef Drunken noodle was just beyond delish!!! Love there summer rolls as well!!! My family always eats here!!
I am sorry that I am unable to rate the food, however, the service or lack there of was truly lacking and honestly deserves 0-zero stars. I arrived at 7pm on Friday evening 7/8 to place an order for carryout. I was rudely greeted by a woman, maybe the owner or the owners wife..at any rate she said "what do you want"? Not hello, welcome, how may I help you, just "what do you want" I said "I would like to place a carryout order" in return she said to me "it will take take until 8:20 (which would be a 1 hour and 20 minute wait) and we close at 8:15 so no you cannot place an order. I was shocked to say the least at her lack of hospitality, and that it would take a meal to be prepared, (in my case two meals) that long, especially based on the fact that the restaurant itself was only half full. I kindly asked her if people were to walk into the restaurant right now and want to sit down for dine in would they be allowed to do so OR would they also miss the cut off time for ordering? Answer-No, we are taking no more orders tonight. This is the first time I have ever been refused service at a restaurant, and this will be the last time I will ever attempt to try and be a patron to this restaurant. We love great Thai food and fortunately have found there is a new highly rated place in Bunnell Thai and I, and also found Mamaling Asain Street Food, and Tram's to be rated better.
Absolutely amazing dinner. We had many different sushi rolls, a dinner, soups, appetizers and everything was spectacular. Busy restaurant with very polite staff. We will be back.
Horrible experience. Drunken noodles were very overcooked and complete mush! The guy in charge got mad at me for not eating it and refused to let me order anything else so with no time to go another restaurant I'll be hungry all afternoon. 😭
first time ordering here and not impressed one bit. not sure why they have the ratings they do. ordered and had to wait 90 minutes for my food. when i got home the portion of my husbands panang was basically non existent and was so spicy he couldn’t enjoy it. (he ordered hot like he does at our favorite place in daytona but apparently hot isn’t the same to everyone). our spring rolls were burnt to a crisp and not edible. highly disappointed i wasted money on this food. wont be returning
The owner is rude, he hangs up on you. I officially have banned this place as much as I love his food. Piece of advice take your business elsewhere. He doesn't deserve your businesses.
Top Thai Restaurant, I’ve had in Florida. I am speaking for the Thai menu. Extremely fresh ingredients. Great price point.
Super nice environment and the staff were a great team really attentive to their guest.
I can’t speak to the food, but customer service is lacking & a turn-off. I decided to try this place being new to the area & in search of authentic Thai food. I called to place a carry out order at 7:23 pm. I was told they close at 8:15 pm, and my food (even though I didn’t even place an order yet!) Wouldn’t be ready until 8:20. Maybe my order would have been simple?! It was dinner for one. Why even answer the phone if you’re “closing up.” Doesn’t make sense. I won’t bother to try them again, which is a shame because I’d love to support local businesses where I now live & I dine out/take out a few times a week, but not this place. I’ll stick to Thai places in Daytona. Friendly/great service is worth the drive.
Food
Super delicious food!!
Authentic. Friendly staff
Great place
Authentic tasting Thai food. Clean simple dining environment.
Delicious food in a fun atmosphere
Food is out of this world. It made up for the rude server. I'm in the service industry so i still tipped over 20% but he really didn't deserve one penny. Maybe I'll just get to go from now on because the food is worth a second trip.
The crispy duck was amazing Thai hot will send you to the moon. YUM
Got sushi and a dinner entree. Never have I had sushi made out of Thai sticky rice. It wasn't bad, it wasn't what I was used to. Odd texture for me. Husband got an entree. He was ok with it, but didn't finish as the flavor was different. Not bad, just different.
Staff were super nice.
We arrived at 7:45 PM. The doors said they they closed at 9 PM. We were directed to a seat. A couple of minutes after we sat down, a man maybe a 'manager', walked over to our table and told us they close at 8. He said we could stay but the kitchen stops cooking at 8! He was ushering us out despite us getting there in time and the restaurant having the wrong closing time on their doors. We won't go back!
A very pleasant meal. Excellent food and a very coordinated wait staff. I was fooling around playing table football and lost the ball. Game over, right? No the waiter brought me another piece of paper. But that's not why to enjoy this place. It was exceptional tasting food. Priced well. Laid back dining.
Thoroughly enjoyed their Seafood Special. Although pricy ($28.95), it was a nice combination of a thin Egg-Foo Omlet, over a bed of Rice, covered with Shrimp, Calamari, Lobster, and a selection of Vegetables. Very good flavor.
Moving back to FL after living and working near the NYC metro area I was thinking good Thai food would be next to impossible to find in Palm Coast. Happy to say I was so wrong. TBT has excellent Thai food and possibly the highest quality sushi in the area. A new favorite!
Owner is very unprofessional & cheap. I asked for no ice on chai tea and after waitress served my drink, the owner came and took the glass from the table mistreat the employee in their native language and took the drink to the kitchen and then came back with a smaller cup a little bigger that a mouth wash cup .... no explanation or regret for his behavior and very upset with his employee.
Authentic and consistently delicious… they will modify spicy ness for all palates…yum
Really good fried rice!! And the service was really good
Very rude staff
Normally good experiences, stopped tonight for dinner walked in at 810pm was told kitchen was closed, they close at 8. Asked why as the sign says till 9 pm, was told that's old sign, wow WTH is that for customer service.
I love Thai food and wanted to really love this place. If you're small and eat small portions, you will! The food was very good, but the portions were waaaaay too small and 90% rice. Literally had to get another dinner afterwards. There is a reason why lot of the neutral or negative reviews mention small portions. Hopefully owners will get the message. I'd rather pay more and get a decent portion than remain hungry after a dinner.
Have been for Thai in the past and it was good. Went for sushi and it was not good. Wasabi was old with no spice and man that waited on us was very rude
Found a dead roach in my food. Do not ever go here. Owner refused to do anything about it and was ridiculously rude.
Everything is excellent!
