Authentic Thai and Sushi Restaurant. Full services restaurant in Waterford Lakes Town Center, Orlando
One of the best Thai food I ever had. We ordered Vegetable Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Tofu Garlic and Garlic rolls. All the dishes were so delicious. I ate Veg. Pad Thai before but the taste I had at Thai Singha and Sushi was so delicious. Staff is friendly and courteous and location is convenient as well. Will definitely visit again.
Terrible service.. they are slow, don't make eye contact or check on you periodically. The restaurant was not even that busy. I had the Rice noodles with soup and they were pretty plain, not much flavor. The golden noodles with chicken and shrimp was a better option in taste and flavor.
The sushi is awesome. I would give it 5 stars but their wait time is awful. I waited an hour for 4 sushi rolls. I felt like it was a bit much. However, their raw fish isn't beaten to death and pulverized in your roll which I can't stand. They cut their raw fish into nice bite size chunks and the fish taste super fresh. #tryit
THE BEST PLACE TO GET SUSHI IN ORLANDO. The staff is super friendly and the food is phenomenal. Happy hour from 4-6 is the best deal in town to get fresh sushi made right when you order. The level of service is top tier in every regard. 11/10!!! Come check this place out in Waterford.
Had a great dining experience at Thai Singha. Ordered spicy edamame and 4 rolls (wish i remmebered names) but they were all excellent. My favorite was the kyoto roll, but they had a pretty large sushi list so i plan to go try more.
They are not the quickest place, even half empty it took a while, but why rush dinner?
They also have indoor and outdoor seating.
We found this gem, after another establishment decided they didn't want to serve my wife and I, and we are so glad they did, because we would've never came to Thai Singha and Sushi!! This place has amazing food, and the servers were so helpful and attentive. We had sushi and soup, and everything was wonderful. I will highly recommend this place if you are looking for delicious food and a friendly staff, when I visit Orlando again, I will certainly be back!!
Trash curry. Old fish. Rice tastes like pipe water
All of their curries are delicious, the massaman is my favorite. I eat here at least once a week, they have great customer service as well
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Food is very good and service is great.
I have been coming to Thia Singha since I started attending UCF. To this day it one of my favorite places in Orlando. I have eaten almost every single vegetarian item on the menu. I can attest to the deliciousness of each one them from fried garlic sushi to drunken noodles. Everyone one of the curries is hearty and packed with flavor. They are the perfect take-out comfort food. The noodle dishes are layered with flavors and accompanied with perfectly cooked veggies. And expect a plate full of these delicious rice noodles. If you’re in the mood for a drink, the Thai martini is sweet and potent, just how I like my drinks!
The day I moved into my dorm room my mom and I had Thai Singha for the first time. When my mom moved me into my first apartment we shared our goodbyes over dinner at Thai Singha. The day I graduated from UCF I celebrated with my family and boyfriend at Thai Singha. To say this restaurant has a special place in my heart is an understatement. Having moved away from the area I don’t go as often as I’d like but I have and always will recommend this place any chance I get. Just go and see for yourself why I fell in love with your quaint local Thai restaurant.
Absolutely terrible service.
good food for a good price
based on some of the reviews, I understand my experience. I spent a lot of money at this place and the lady was not very customer service friendly. I was asking about the deep fried rolls and she seemed annoyed and just rushing me. Needless to say, she said all the rolls I ordered would be deep fried and only one was. Was the sushi good? Yes. But customer service not so much and I did not get what I ordered.
Excellent sushi and pad Thai.
Terrible service.. they are slow, don't make eye contact or check on you periodically. The restaurant was not even that busy. I had the Rice noodles with soup and they were pretty plain, not much flavor. The golden noodles with chicken and shrimp was a better option in taste and flavor.
Decided to come in for lunch since I was shopping all day. The lemonade tasted very watery. I ordered the lunch special of California Rolls and they did not taste good at all. The only thing I really enjoyed were the steamed gyoza. However, I didn’t see a service charge fee or extra tip added to my bill like other reviewers mentioned.
Judy, just sent you an email off your website this morning. Miss eating your good food so decided to come in yesterday 1-19-2023 at 4:00 p.m. Chair in front of door ?? no one anywhere and no lights anywhere. Waited until 4:15 p.m. I guess "closed"? What's up? Barbara
I had to sit in front of the sushi chef blowing his nose 15 times while making sushi, didn't wash his hands ONCE. When I told the waitress that its very unappealing to listen to someone doing that while preparing my food both her, the host and the sushi chef laughed about it like I was being silly? The roll I ordered was AWFUL. Dry as a bone and absolutely no flavor. I sent it back and didn't order anything else as I was disgusted with the chefs behavior. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
I would like to add this is 4 days later. I GOT FOOD POISONING from this place. I have filed a complaint with the Florida health department. Me and my husband were sick for days after eating at this garbage establishment.
Best Thai food I've had since I lived in Fort Lauderdale! Love the portion and prices. It will make my best list restaurant.
This is the Pai Thai around
We come here every couple weeks - tasty, affordable when ordering their lunch specials, and great portions when ordering to-go. Food is always piping hot and delicious. I usually order extra chicken and essentially get two meals for $11. Good vegetarian options too.
Great chicken masuman curry and also qyoza, just the right amount of flavor. Lovely pleasant service without being annoying.
Amazing food and service!! I'm also impressed with the attention to plating. Loved everything. The curry is much more hearty than at other Thai places. The shrimp coconut soup was also surprisingly hearty.
The food was delish. but the service was bad. they forgot our drinks and didn't come check on us at all even though the place was nearly empty.
I always come here for fast and delicious service. The lunch special is definitely worth it.
I've never had such bad food, can’t even swallow and the service is bad, a waste of money and time.
Excellent
Great food and great ambiance ilove the fresh spring rolls
This is the place for Thai comfort food for me. So far, this is the only place in Pacita that offer good food.
Super sarap ng fud and mrmi ung serving... very accomodating mga staff and maganda ung place.
Authentic thai food with super generous serving for its price! really enjoyed the food here
Yummy. Always a great lunch or dinner anytime. Love it.
My girlfriend and I had a great experience here. Friendly staff, clean store, and quick service. We got the Vegetable Lemongrass Soup, Red Curry, and Volcano Chicken. We are definitely coming back!
Food was good
Great food but the worst service! Dragon lady who runs the place has absolutely no manners whatsoever. I’ve been getting takeouts from them for 2 years and always get treated like garbage every time I go in? I have never had words or said anything for that matter, just paid for my food and left every time. This last visit was the worst, I went over to the register to pick up my takeout and she yells from across the room “Not ready yet!” Everyone in the dining room reacted the same way, they were like ???? So I got my food but this time didn’t leave a tip like I usually do. You’re not going to treat customers this way and keep them for long Dragon lady. Maybe this is how you treat people in Thailand but you’re in America now, learn some manners or go home.
I come here whenever I visit Orlando UCF area. I like their sushi offerings and more specifically the rack of lamb.
Great food!!
Enjoyed this and was nice having a sushi option. Just lacks in scenery. It's a room with tables and doesn't even necessarily feel like a restaurant, more like a food hall
Consistently very good not the best atmosphere but the food is great
Had the lamb chops outstanding
My wife and I have been dining at the Thai Shinga for many years. Hands down the best Thai food around. Their Summer Rolls in sticky rice wrap with peanut sauce are the best. The Yellow Chicken Curry is one of my favorites. Very flavorful dishes. You will not be disappointed.
The food here is pretty good though it’s not the best Thai it’s definitely good and some of their dishes are delicious. Their ginger salad is very good and so are their soups. The entrees are good too. I’d recommend this place for good thai
it’s so good; recommend their basil fried rice
I got the pad Thai with beef. The meal had a stale smell and stale taste. I couldn’t eat it. I threw it away after the first bite.
The food is good. Portions are generous. Well diversified menu to choose from. Generous with the vegetables. A lot of variety of dishes to choose from. They range from simple to spicy. You can order per your preference of flavors and heat. Service was slow considering it wasn't full.
Exquisite food, excellent customer service and very clean place.
I use to love this place! However, the last time I ordered sushi for pick up it had not 1, but 3 short black hairs in 3 separate pieces of sushi! Disgusting! I’ve never left a review before for any restaurant. One hair I would let slide, but 3?!?! Haven’t been back since.
I am extremely disappointed with today’s visit.
Let me explain: I have been coming to this Thai restaurant for over 13+ years whenever I want a tasty fried rice, or a Tom Yum without leaving my general area. When I state general area, I mean Waterford, you venture out a little further and you have Thai House, Royal Thai and Thai Cafe in Orlando that offer a better version of my favorite go to Thai dishes.
So, as I sat there enjoying my dishes, and conversation with my daughter and the waitress who has served me many times in the past 13+ years, who could possibly be the owner but has never had the personality to converse with her patrons, hands me the bill and states, “we are closing” and proceeds to close the shades. As she closes the shades, she throws herself around other patrons and forcefully pulls the shades down in a dramatic way as if to say “Out! Closing time!” I found this to be extremely rude. I will not apologize for walking out and finishing my dish at 2:36 instead of 2:30. However, it would be tactful for her to apologize that I felt rushed by her behaviors. I have been there before around their midday closing time, and experienced this for the first time today. This was beyond rude.
This is not the way to build community.
#tryit
Recently moved here under a year ago and in search of some good Thai food. BTW, BKYN in Queens, NY is the best, hands down. This food was so far the best I've had in FL and I'll return for sure. BUT If you like spice, make sure you ask them to add a lot of spice. It was my first time ordering, so I didn't know what to expect. The vegetables and chicken was pretty bland, I feel like it was just steamed with no seasoning. It was take out, so I added some pepper flakes and that fixed the issue.
Wouldn't allow my services dog in restaurant even though it's illegal to deny service bc of service dog... we were ready to spend over $50 n even though the only other single client weren't bothered by it, they still refused us service... quite disgusted been here so many times before n it's sad bc it's a small establishment. I was trying to support local small businesses. This is how they treated us
We found this gem, after another establishment decided they didn't want to serve my wife and I, and we are so glad they did, because we would've never came to Thai Singha and Sushi!! This place has amazing food, and the servers were so helpful and attentive. We had sushi and soup, and everything was wonderful. I will highly recommend this place if you are looking for delicious food and a friendly staff, when I visit Orlando again, I will certainly be back!!
We have been going here for awhile and the food is always great. Sushi or Curry, we love this place. Definitely recommend for either.
The food was Great
A lot of Flavor
Just moved to the area
The food was delicious
Best food ever
Spicy thai basil fried rice… a must try !!
I love this place! The owners/workers are super nice and hospitable and go out of their way to make you enjoy your visit. And the food is always so tasty! Highly recommend :)
Food wasn't great. Not authentic Thai flavors. Don't bother.
Very bad experience. Ordered the Beef Salad. I asked the server if it had raw onion and it because I'm highly allergic to raw onion. She said it could be ordered without onion. I asked if it was premade with onion already in it and she said no it was not. It wasn't until I had finished half of it when I realized there must have been onion in it and then removed. After I left I was very sick. Maybe the onion was in the dressing? The server should have known that, or at least told the cook. Why was I deceived?
Red Curry ♥️
Had Thai from a ton of places, this place just cant be beat, price is so low compared to most places and the food is just fantastic. HIGHLY recommend the drunken noodles and the coconut rice pudding they are just to die for!!
Good strip mall Thai food. Service was a little slow as there was only one server.
Small portions, but good taste.
Small and quaint, with a sweet staff, this is an authentic Japanese offering in Waterford. We ordered the Massaman curry, shrimp coconut soup, and the Alaskan and Mexican rolls. Everything was excellent, and the coconut soup the best I've tasted. The dishes were perfectly spiced, and kept a warm temperature throughout eating. We'll be returning to try more of their extensive menu, and highly recommend trying it out.
Very good place to eat. Food was prepared well and delicious.
Have had better thai before, but this definitely is up there for like, second best. Fixed my craving for it, at least
Fresh food, great service, fantastic sushi menu and really good tea.
The food here is amazing and so good! The prices are reasonable and they make everything with a little spice so it has this delicious Thai taste. Will definitely be back
This is like the third time we went with basic plates of patei but the color of the meals were strange. Like I had pork patei rice noodle and it was pale pink and the meat tasted like chicken. The chicken patei which someone ordered was weird too. The meats are cut into thin squares and I think boiled before being added to the dishes. The ones we ordered was vary pale in color. We try something else next time. We had some dishes with curry before about two years ago. I'll try to return before the end of the year. Price was reasonable and service was good. Waitress made sure we had plenty to drink and meal was out in a little longer than average so get an appetizer.
The meat was super dry and the curry was too spicy
Just wow, I've been to a lot of sushi places and this is by far the freshest and best rice I've ever had. I definitely will be back.
Went downhill since the last time we’ve been here. Hostess barely speaks to you, on her phone in front of customers, cold demeanor. My food was disgusting. Old scrambled eggs in the pad thai, lime wedge had brown bruised skin. It was old. Husbands soup was not good. Won’t be back.
Quaint restaurant in the Waterford Lakes area with good food and friendly customer service.
I suggest having only take-out food here.
If you are planning to eat here, find another Thai place.
We arrived at around 8:45pm-ish. Twenty minutes after receiving our food, the nice waitress offered us to-go boxes and had them with her. This is fine, no issue.
The issue is, when a lady from the back, I believe she works in the back of the kitchen. She approached and without even asking, grabbed my plate. My plate was not even half eaten. There was obviously plenty of food left on it! I grabbed my plate and pulled it back, telling her I wasn't finished. She didn't apologize and walked away.
Then the nice waitress returned and placed the check face-down on the table. This was fine, until I flipped it over and saw that someone had taken a marker to the receipt. Someone had the audacity to draw a large rectangle around the tips. We are good tippers, especially now since Covid is happening. Due to the way we were being rushed out, we decided not leave an %18 tip. There was a tip left though.
The last straw is when I checked the restaurant hours. We closed the door at 9:28pm and the place didn't even close until 10! Why were we being rushed out? We were not even the last customers to leave!
Note to self, if you want to have positive reviews, then don't do what you did to us to other customers. I'm being nice by giving you just a 3 star review. We will no longer eat here again.
Love eating here when I’m in Orlando
It was ok nothing to brag about. I had better curry and fried rice.
I went here once 4 years ago, and it was so salty and canned tasting that I didn't go back until today -- against my better judgement -- when sick with a cold and in need of some comfort curry, I looked up Thai places in the area. I saw that this place had 4.6 stars. So I figured, maybe I judged too harshly the first time.
So I called to place an order. [super fast] " gorenberpg" ... I said I'm sorry, hello? "eargidfgneiwarg help you". So I place a simple but specific order of Yellow Curry with no rice -- just veggies. No affirmation that she heard me -- she skipped right to "have your name". I gave her my name ...."about 15 minutes". That seemed too quick. And sure enough it was cooked like it was too quick. To their credit, they nailed the extra veggies and the spice level was pretty intense, which is how I like it ... but the curry overall .... it tasted like I made it, which is why I order out instead. Enough canned saltiness to put you in the hospital. No need for a strike 3, I'm done.
Pad Thai here is certainly not what I expected. Starting to lose hope that I can find any good pad thai in Orlando! All has been greasy and sweet (?!). Nothing fresh about it. No vegetables. Total disappointment. Nothing like what I get elsewhere.
I wish I can give zero stars I was excited to try to this place and when I got there the people were not friendly or welcoming or even knowledgeable on their own products! That changed my mind about getting a big meal and I just ordered 4 dollars soup which was horrible and made with nothing! This proves that people fake reviews to get customers to come in! It is tragedy! But for sure this was my first and last time! And everyone who I know I will warn them! It genuinely kills me to write bad reviews but the truth has to be told and if I can save the next person bad customer service so be it!
The food here tastes amazing and the prices are reasonable. The employees are generally courteous. However, the owner is cold and rude. On top of that, they've been getting our order wrong when we get carryout. We used to eat here a lot but have not been back since our last experience.
Panang Curry (chicken) was excellent and was sweet and spicy.
The Coconut Cream (chicken) soup was a nice surprise and I could see myself eating two or three bowls of that. I spiced mine up, but the coconut cream still had a subtle soothing way of tempering the heat.
Great food, though next time I won't pair soup and curry together as that is a lot of liquid to eat.
BTW, if you were wondering I prefer sinus-clearing spice but not stomach-hurting spice. Asking for "really spicy" hit the spot perfectly.
Loved their papaya salad.
Great food, vegan choices...service not that great.
The food is always amazing. They have are my favorite restaurant for fried Tofu. The 🍣 Sushi section has always had fresh seafood and ingredient. Definitely a top establishment in Orlando for Thai food.
Amazing service and the chicken basil fried rice was amazing
Do not waste your money here. Server was so bad and food was not good at all. Uncomfortable experience and waste of money.
Food is delicious and the prices reasonable. Great service too! I will go back.
So much flavor! So amazing! My taste buds are in love.
Love the coconut soup and beef salad here!
Bad manner to customer
Food was delicious. Not excited about the service. Slow and not very courteous.
Food is consistently good and service is excellent with generally acceptable pace. I have eaten here dozens of times over several years. Staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate food restrictions/preferences. Pricing is reasonable. Would recommend as a local Thai+sushi staple.
Love their Thai coconut soup and steak salad.
Some of the best sushi in the area
I come here for 2 reasons, and 2 reasons only:
Reason #1) Chicken Pad Thai... with peanuts for me and without peanuts for my wife. It is simply the best Pad Thai I have ever tasted in my life. The take out portions are enormous; you will get enough food.
Reason #2) To say hi to Julie, the host. Julie met my girlfriend and I about 3 years ago. After our first visit, we returned probably about a month later, and she still remembered us. Fast forward about 3 years: my girlfriend became my wife, my wife had a baby, and now here I am with my family introducing Julie to my child. If Julie sees you in the supermarket, she will ask about your family. If she knows you're about to have a baby, she will ask about the baby.
In my entire life, I can't think of another restaurant where I've noticed that the staff actually care about me as a person... that's worth just a little more than $10 for take-out Pad Thai.
Reason #1 is what gets you in the door, Reason #2 is why you'll find yourself coming back again.
We ordered the chicken Pad Thai on our first visit here. It was tasteless. We also ordered sushi, which was average. Service was good but food was unimpressive.
Great little Thai and sushi spot! It's been here for years while everything around it has come and gone.
The lunch specials are a fantastic value, so i usually come for lunch, but dinner is solid too.
Their specialty sushi rolls are delicious, as are the soups, curries, and pad Thai. Im sure the rest is good, but those are my go tos. I've never had anything bad from here.
Sauces great... but calamari was like tire rubber, and everything we got had it in there.
I’ve always had a great experience here. Polite people. Good food.
I always like to try different Thai restaurants and this one was given a 3/5 because even though we had good service my food was pretty expensive and just mediocre tasting. I might give them a 2nd chance though.
Great service.
Don’t order the chicken fried rice if you don’t like vegetables!
Every breed of vegi is in here... even strange white plants.
Wont order it again.
Rice is dry as well.
Pad Thai every time. Always tastes fresh and place always looks clean. Dine in and take out has alway been great. Surprised they aren’t busier.
Ordered the Pad Thai and it was the worst I've ever had, I could only tolerate two bites of it. Waitress was nice, and there's the one star. To be fair, I haven't tried anything else on their menu and I know this place has great reviews here on google, but I couldn't recommend it for its Pad Thai. Some of my favorite Pad Thai's are Orchid Thai Cuisine in winter park and Thai Island on Semoran Blvd. Be well everyone.
Over priced and over rated. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and the noodles and chicken were a weird pinkish color and the chicken curry was super bland
Used to eat here all of the time and moved out of town so decided to grab dinner while visiting. The salad was literally just lettuce and onion slices and the tuna avocado salad had rotten tuna in it. Not sure what happened to this place but they should really turn it around.
Great sushi. Nice selection
This establishment is quaint and the service was very nice, however the sushi (I only had Sushi) was lacking flavor. I don't think I have ever experienced flavorless sushi but indeed it was subpar at best. I can't speak for the Thai dishes and heard good things about it, so don't let this review deter you from visiting if you are in the mood for Thai, but the Sushi part of the menu didn't really hold up.
Sushi has no flavor, miso soup tasted very fishy. Service was awful and extremely slow, Could not get a refill, or get the server to come to our table or even get a bill so we could pay and get out of there. If you are going to eat here check your drink before they leave the table I got the wrong one and was not able to get a new one.
Generally I like the food here. I ordered the Spicy Thai Basil rice on Uber eats and it won’t let me review the item. In the description of the item it said snow peas and mushrooms were dish vegetables. Instead it came with onions peppers and I think spinach. Absolutely nothing like it was described. I didn’t like the dish because of the onions and peppers. Was very disappointed.
Excellent place to eat, their pad Thai has a sweet citrus flavor. The fresh rolls have carrots, tofu, rice noodles, wrapped in a rice sheet with peanut sauce (highly recommended), The coconut based flavored soup with either vegetables meat or seafood taste absolutely amazing.
Terrible customer service
We found everything we ordered is delicious at this restaurant however my favorites are Spring Rolls and Pad Thai 💕 The staff is very friendly and do not hesitate to change cooking methods since I am gluten free and have a food allergy intolerance to soy.
The curry shrimp with onions and potatoes was delicious! Online ordering was fast and easy. The portion was perfectly sized for a filling lunch. Order extra vegetables if you don't like a big sauce to protein ratio. You can scale the heat of your dish from 1-5. It's a great place to try!
Awful!! Got sick!!
Shrimp undercooked tho. get it right.
Thai Singha is my favorite place to get sushi. The rolls aren't cheap but that's because they use very high quality ingredients. I've never had a bad roll from here. They usually have one sushi chef working, which means you will need to wait a little while for your food, but there are good beers (Saporro and Chang) and appetizers to hold you over. The spring rolls are fantastic. They are really light, crunchy and sweet.. In addition to sushi they also have amazing entrees (all kinds of curries and Thai dishes). My wife really likes to get the pad thai and I like to get the beef masaman curry. They keep the restaurant very clean and the service is great. They are always on top of it. If you are in the Waterford Lakes area and want some good Thai food or Sushi, this is the spot.
Buyer beware dinner menu $17 duck curry is absolutely overpriced. And they don't offer duck on the lunch menu meats. I think $13 is fair price for this. Any other red curry with meat is no more than ~$10. Best bet is to order roasted duck with noodles for ~$10... And then order veggy red curry for ~$8. You practically get double the food for the same price.
BTW I explained this to the owner and she just smiled back with no reaction. I expected dinner menu item to be special which is why I took the chance... Buyer beware.
Very disappointing. I ordered the Pad Thai and it came out pink! When I tasted it, I found out why- it was made with sweet and sour sauce, not a typical pad Thai sauce. It was SO sweet!! Awful. And my mother ordered the Panang curry with shrimp. The shrimp were undercooked, still translucent, and had their tails on! And the curry sauce was very spicy, but nearly flavorless. We won’t be back.
One of my favorite Thai places in the East Orlando area. Everything is great, especially the Drunken Noodles
The food tasted pretty good.
I've ordered everyone of the curry meals. They are always amazing. Sushi is good too. Tell them if you
Quick & delicious. Great service.
Good food, but poor service
Ok well where do I start. First the fried rice had a lime in it. I’ve eaten Thai food all over the world but they must of forgotten the lime because this is the first time I’ve had a lime in my rice and it tasted really really bad. Also the eel sauce idk but ya try it and let me know.
This restaurant is delicious! The serving attention is fantastic and the food is beyond good! I am so happy!
Solid Thai take-out in the Waterford area. If you want Asian, try it out! Ordered here for years now and I’ve only been disappointed once.
We ordered take out and were quoted 25 minutes. We got to the restaurant, paid, and they said it was almost ready. 40 minutes later we finally got our food, and when we got home, my order was wrong. I asked for no spice on my pad Thai, and it was so spicy I couldn’t even eat it. Very disappointing, especially considering it was a pricy meal. Suffice it to say we will not be going back.
Flavors and dishes are authentic Thailand recipes. Other than the sushi addition which is also up to standards. Beware of the credit card usage from this place I have a credit card fraud happened just one day after from this visit.
My go to for ultra spicy hangover cures
Good food. Good prices!
Never stepping foot again in this place because the server was rude and rushed us the whole time. She was very unpleasant I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave but my friend had already put her order in. Food was okay but what bothered me most was I felt
like they did not want us there and we were bothering them. I should have left right when she gave us an attitude problem. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a nice evening meal with nice people because they are RUDE! They even turned on the lights and turned off the music so we would leave. Worst experience in a restaurant Ive ever had.
