As Friday-Sunday is the most busiest day of the week, please expect long wait time, if you plan to make an order on these day you can place your order before 3.00pm via [email protected], and we will contact you to confirm the order, no 3rd party available , takeout only through ChuChok Thai
Chuchok is a character in one of Buddha reincarnation stories. He was a mean old man who ate too much that his stomach exploded.
Itβs refreshing to hear such a creative and cultural name for a Thai restaurant in the USA. It also means that there must be at least one Thai in the establishing team. And that means we are going to have some real Thai food. (More or less π€)
We went there around 1PM on Wednesday, it was kind of calm. (It has been open recently maybe not many people know yet.)
Our lunch :
Papaya salad : I asked them to add 2 chillis up in the salad to get as close as we eat in Thailand possible and I got it. (Not recommended for Non-Thai) There was an ingredients they cut off which was dried shrimp. Itβs understandable since it could be too stinky for one who does not like its smell.
Chicken Satay : the cooking and the texture was perfect soft and juicy. For the marinade, I think they could mild it down a little bit, just a little or give more cucumber prickle to help washing or softening the spice heat in the mouth.
Phad See-iw (sautΓ©ed flat rice noodle with black soya sauce, chicken, vegetable) in the special lunch set : We heard the sound of Wok playing with strong fire, we knew it was going to be good. And it was cooked to perfection.
With 8 clients maximum sitting capacity, you may be recommended to call them to make a reservation for the dinner. As it is a small restaurant with a small kitchen with βI guessβnot more than 2 cooks, you will have to be patient.
Be prepared, be cool and smile like Thais.
And try not to eat too much as Chuchok did.
This place is pickup only. Ordered around 2pm via email for a 5pm and it was right on time. Got the pad kee mow and pad prik khing. The food is good though not my favorite Thai place in Westchester. I would come back though itβs an old option for Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow areas
Food is great
Located on the actual horsemanβs bridge. Not the fake one in the cemetery.
Treat yourself to one of their tshirts. Bought one on Saturday, Monday itβs my favorite shirt. I believe the composition indicates that the headless horseman traded his pumpkin head for delicious take away.
We are regulars here at least a few times a month. You need to call in your order a few hours early. Great food at great prices.
Nice little eatery:
There is limited sitting area inside (8 people) and a table outside. The house where the restaurant is pretty.
The menu is simple but quite thorough.
The Phad Se Yew Gai (Large sauted flat noodles in a dark sauce with chicken) is really tasty with fresh ingredients and the rea taste of the work.
The sticky rice with mango and coconut sweet milk is good too.
You can also order food to go if you want so.
What a treat! Been searching for good Thai in Sleepy Hollow (I've been spoiled with phenomial ones in the city), and discovered this quaint husband and wife restaurant. The decor and arrangement immediately makes you feel like you are eating at a friend's home; you feel welcomed with warmth and wished you could've stayed a little longer when you leave.
The food is exceptionally well done; the shrimp rolls were fried to perfection with a sweet Thai sauce, the pad see ew had a deep soy sauce flavor that permeates through the noodles, and shrimp pad Thai where you can taste almost every ingredient in it (the slight tamarind taste shines through and does not overpower). I felt like I was eating at home!
I am very glad to finally find a Thai place I can consider a second home.
P.S. they do delivery and lunch specials!
P.P.S. the photos of the other dishes mentioned are not available because I ate them too quickly. Oops!
Such a delight! I would 100% recommend. Wish I could give more stars βΊοΈ

Very good, customer service couldnβt be nicer. Small shop so plan ahead and youβll be fine.
Every order is consistently fresh, delicious and flavorful, but most important, the owners genuinely care about the craft and culture of the food they are preparing for their customers. If I could rate them with more stars I would!
What the heck !! This place is delicious authentic and they are so nice !! 11/10!

Food is always great and fresh. Just long wait times for pick up.
It's a small place out of what mostly looks like a house when you pull into the driveway. I'd say it's mostly a venue for takeout but there are a couple tables there. I had the drunken noodle which was delish and spiced just right. Will definitely be going back to try other dishes.
Easily the best Thai food in Westchester
Iβm Thai so I strongly guarantee this place to authentic Thai cuisine. Really tasty , Thai fried rice with chicken is perfect cooked, basil chicken is great. Pad Thai is my favorite dish with juicy sauce and fully flavored . Donβt forget to order Thai ice tea is full of Tea aroma also service is amazing , They managed every order very well to make sure customers pick up food right on time after finish cooking.
An absolute favorite of ours. We've never tried a dish from ChuChok Thai that we didn't love.
Discovered ChuChock Thai a few months ago and order at least once a week since. Love all of the food we've had. Sometimes it's a wait before you can pick up food but they're super about giving you accurate times and very friendly.
Soooooo good and great at accommodating allergies! Thanks yaβll
Love coming here and awesome people.
Simply the best Thai food in Westchester
Ordered from Chuchok for the first time this evening. Ordered the Tom Yum Soup and Pad Kee Mau with Chicken.
The soup was fantastic. It was very tasty, and had hints of heat without having overpowering heat. Maybe one of the best ones I've ever tasted.
The Pad Kee Mau, however, was disappointing. Nice assortment of chicken, noodles and vegetables. But kind of bland, not much flavor, not much sauce and not as spicy as it should be.
People who took the order on the phone and who I dealt with at the restaurant very nice.

Amazing Drunken Noodles, definitely will be getting food regularly from here!
Home style Thai. Food was great. Inconvenient hours. As long as you call ahead you shouldn't have to wait..
Pretty good Thai food. A little pricy.
I was recommended this restaurant for take out and I do not regret trying it out! Though a bit pricey, their portions are big and the food is tasty, and spicy! I had to call a few times to place my order before someone answered, but I am likely to order again!
Authentic, delicious Thai in Tarrytown.
Bland, dry, tough Thai fried rice that smelled good but didn't deliver on taste was my first introduction to this well-reviewed restaurant. I added salt but that didn't make a difference. I mean, it was so tasteless that I threw it in the trash. After all the five-star reviews, I was excited to try this spot β I won't be back!
This place has by far my favorite Drunken noodles . The flavors are incredible . I canβt rave enough about it to everyone I know
Shamelessly cross posting from yelp:
FINALLY! Good Thai food in the area! Hope that as they become more established they expand their hoursβthis place is a gem.
Thanks so much for labeling gluten free options, as well, and for letting me know when I asked (per my habit) to make sure my order was GF that the tofu was fried in a shared frier. Made my life as a celiac much easier.
Terrific Thai restaurant. The food was amazing and enjoyed by all!
The best Thai around.
Absolutely the best Thai in Westchester. Delicious authentic flavors. Not Americanized. Worth the wait, but get your order called in early.
they might take forever to fill the order because its a small run business,
BUT it's worth the wait, great Thai food. as good as Ekamai in CA (Culvercity).
best Thai in Sleepyhollow/Tarrytown
we only order from here when it comes to padsieu and sticky mango rice π₯
Very yummy food, pleasant and welcoming family.
Ridiculous wait times for food. I called at 5:10 PM to place a pickup order and it wouldn't be ready until 9:00 PM. Honestly, hire some more people in the kitchen to help cut down the wait time. No food is worth a consistent 3 hour wait window in my opinion, it just means that the restaurant is not run properly. I really believe that the number of meals they are able to push out each night is pretty minimal. Thanks but no thanks.
Ridiculous wait times for food. I just called at 4:30 PM to place a pickup order and it wouldn't be ready until 7:30 PM. Honestly, hire so more people in the kitchen to help cut down the wait time. No food is worth a consistent 3 hour wait window in my opinion, it just means that the restaurant is not run properly. I really believe that the number of meals they are able to push out each night is pretty minimal. I also don't think it's fair that you are able email in an order beforehand but there is no note of that on their website, so it's an 'unofficial' route. Thanks but no thanks.
Great Gluten Free options. My new favorite Thai spot in Westchester
Authentic Thai, best in Westchester in my opinion. Fresh ingredients and although only take out, ordering an hour minimum before you are ready to eat is suggested. They also take orders via email daily before 3pm. Worth the wait no matte,r how long the food preparation takes
Would recommend the Pumpkin Red Curry with Chicken. It was a special recently. All other dishes fresh and tasty as well!
Hands down the best authentic Thai food in Westchester. Worth the drive over to pick up, Unfortunately no delivery.
Best Thai food I've had. The stuffed cucumber soup is fantastic.
I think they dump a cup of sugar in the pad thai.
Fantastic, authentic and made fresh! The closest thing to being in Thailand
Delicious food! I had the drunkin noodle and the mango with sticky rice. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly!
Amazing Thai take out. Order early they get busy on weekends.
Great street style thai food!!!
We've ordered takeout a few times from this local gem. Each time, the food gets better, and this time it truly was excellent.
This is the best Thai in Westchester. Seriously, donβt waste your time anywhere else. It can be difficult to get an order in because of how busy they can get at times, but itβs absolutely worth the wait. If you like Thai food, do yourself a favor and place an order!
Pad prik khing and spicy eggplant entrees were both amazing and just as delicious as the appetizer rolls.
The best Thai in the area, hands down. Wait time is long for pick-up, so plan ahead.
Love ChuChok. Great Thai food!
This is a 5 star place as long as you understand it's limitations. It's a small operation but the cooking is superb, and if you want quality homestyle cooking thai food... this is it! The spicy dishes have a palpable kick, and definitely catered toward people who like spicy and not to people who just want to try spicy sometimes. It doesn't overwhelm, but it definitely defines the dishes and makes them that much better. Every dish I've ordered is tasty without being oversalted; there is a good balance of flavor, and it is always flavorful. It's never too soft or too dry, and the food is the right texture. The noodles, meat, and vegetables that the cook uses always seem fresh and much appreciated by me. However, because this is a very small operation, the wait times are always long (expect at least 30 mins, and often 45-60 mins). But these dishes are cooked to quality standards, not volume, and they are very enjoyable meals once you get them. It's really not a sit down restaurant; there are some decorations and few tables that you have to make a reservation for. So, if you know about these limitations and can plan to order early and pick up to enjoy at home, then it's 5 stars and you won't be disappointed.
Loved the food!! Will definitely order again
Honestly, I was really looking forward to trying this place for the longest time as I've been on the hunt for a proper Thai place in the area. I came out a bit disappointed by the experience. Drunken noodles is my go to dish and how I gauge a thai restaurant. While the flavor was present I was quite disappointed that they didn't use broad flat rice noodles and instead opted for what looks like pad Thai style noodles. The other issue that I had was that the dish was very dry. Most, if not all drunken noodles I've had in the past are a bit more on the saucy side. What I received was nothing like the pictures on their website which I attached below. What saved this place from getting less stars is that I also ordered larb and crispy chive pancakes, both of which were quite delicious. Sadly I won't be returning as the drunken noodles were such a disappointment.
Did was pretty decent for Americanized Thai food. Staff want very accommodating, didn't seem to care about suggestions on improving service, and honestly were a bit standoffish. We spent over $160 on takeout and would have preferred to dine in but they said there were no tables, suggested we make reservations at least 2 hours prior. They let a couple in a fancy sports car wearing real furs dine in with no RSVP. #priorities. #discrimination #privilege #onepercent I doubt I'll be returning here despite the decent food but because of the way we were treated.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. I thought it was quite tasty. I thought the spring rolls were absolutely atrocious, dry on the inside and lacking in flavor. We also got the pot stickers to share the table and those were absolutely delicious. I got the basil fried rice and the pad see ew and both dishes were absolutely delicious! I would not waste the time or the stomach space on the spring rolls next time around though.
I'm disappointed. While I appreciate honesty, and certainly would've been unhappy if they promised something they couldn't provide... I went in to order food and walked away empty handed and not having eaten. This is because they had 5 orders on the board and said it would take "20 or 30 minutes". There was no one waiting and the dining room was empty. So, all 5 were call-in orders. I said "less is better" expecting some wiggle - like, 'we can do this or that faster' or 'if you order this it'll be quick' or 'are you thinking of anything because if not we can figure it out and get you taken care of'.. I got nothing. No help. I hadn't even expressed an interest in anything specific - and I was wholly malleable. I ended up leaving hungry and disappointed. It's hard to imagine why I would go back. Ever.
This place is the real deal. Delicious.
Great food, a little small/not a lot of seating. Better for take out
Cozy restaurant with delicious food for people who need low heat and those more adventurous eaters. ππ Patient, friendly staff made this a wonderful visit!
I love this place. At some point I'll have to write a full review, but in the meantime, I'll just say this place is amazing.
super friendly service and great food, definitely going back.
Excellent food, takes a bit but it is worth it.
My Bangkok born dad says no comparison, best Thai in Westchester. I fully agree. Not even close. Also keep an eye on daily specials... eat here!
A much needed eatery with an awesome location and super savory dishes. Very reasonably priced and portioned. They are a small restaurant and stay super busy with take-aways (being the only restaurant around sleepy hollow I guess).
The food is outstanding and service is excellent. My husband and I are so happy we found authentic Thai food here!
Limited menu but excellent execution.
Very delicious, try the green curry!
Great place great food.
Order from here!
Made reservations, which was key! It is a SMALL place 4 tables. Service was great and we beat (kind of) the take out order rush. The phone was off the hook for an hour with takeout orders.
Will definitely be taking out from here the next time we are in town. Food was great; the basil fried rice, Lad Na salad, Tom Kha Gai soup were delicious. The pad Thai and satay were also very good. Only thing keeping me from giving ten stars (besides for Google) was the peanut sauce, it just lacked the peanut flavor I am used to.
This is by far the best Thai food I have ever experienced. Fabulous.
I've literally eaten there the past 3 days!!! It's delicious I want to try everything on the menu!! Everything taste fresh and the portions are a nice size. Sorry no picture it just comes out looking and smelling so good I just immediately start to devour! Lol thank God for the gym π
Best Thai food I have had in a long time. Tasty and fresh super delicious and Iβll be back . This is downright my favorite restaurant for Thai food . Guys come on down you will not regret it the best Thai food ever yummy.
New to the area and have been looking for a good Thai spot. We very much enjoyed this quaint spot in Tarrytown. The spice level on the Pad Keep Mao built over time and was a very solid dish. Would come back! If you dine in, be sure to make a reservation only because there are only have 3-4 tables as they cater mostly to take out orders but it was a nice so down meal for sure!
Delicious food, homey atmosphere. Mostly reasonable prices. Had some of the best Pad See Ew I've ever eaten. The green curry was also delicious. Warning: they can only seat about eight people total so you will need to reserve a table.

New Thai in Sleepy Hollow. Tasty!

We had a fantastic experience at Chuchok Thai! This husband and wife restaurant brings some well deserved alternatives to the local area and the food is wonderful. The chicken satay with peanut sauce was smooth, rich and delish. The green curry was the exact right amount of spice, the rice was incredible well done and we enjoyed the pad thai. Service is measured given it is the two of them but come open to that fact and you will have a great time. Recommended that you book in advance as they fill up early!
