Curries, soups, noodle dishes & other Thai offerings are served at this modest strip-mall kitchen.
I've been to a lot of different Thai restaurants but never had food any better than I have here. The chicken massaman curry is DELICIOUS and the atmosphere is fascinating. The service is often sweet and they bring out the food very fast. The Thai is honestly the best l've ever had.
The food was great and the service was fast and friendly. We stayed far too long, taking up needed space, but that did not seem to perturb the staff. Chaba Thai has been one of my favorite places, and I expect it will remain so.
Food is great here and tastes good. I tried chicken satay, curry chicken, steamed dumplings, spicy basil fried rice (Thai hot) and Thai tea. Everything was great. Spicy food lovers can enjoy it. Soup had a subtle flavor which was good too.
Thai food lovers must try this place atleast once.
We tried the massaman curry and the yellow curry today. We asked for the highest spice level and they definitely delivered. That's a huge positive because most places seem to hold back. The yellow curry in my opinion was definitely the better of the two. The massaman curry was fine but it definitely seemed underseasoned. The spice was really the only thing that came through. The yellow curry was packed with flavor. I would definitely order here again. The portion sizes for lunch were very generous.
Its always delicious
It was ok. Food was about average and for the food, it was a little overpriced. Service was great, very polite but a little slow. Overall well done!

Food doesn’t taste Thai at all. It’s completely bland.
The friend check they have in dish was old frozen and doesn’t taste nice at all.
The food some how tasted more of a frozen gimmick.
Overpriced for the quality and portion of the food. You can find better food elsewhere.

Food is excellent and delicious. Still disappointed they do not sell sticky rice nor papaya salad. This is the first thai restaurant I've ever been to that does not have sticky rice. Menu is americanized not traditional thai.
We love this place! They are consistent all across the board. Food is always outstanding and the service & atmosphere are great. We’ve been here many times and will continue for sure. Thanks, Chaba Thai!
We absolutely love the food, have been going here for two decades now.
Got takeout last night and found a piece of chicken in my (supposedly vegetarian) Yellow Tofu Curry.
The Thai hot was actually Thai hot!!
We dined in for dinner and it was ok. Had the fried rice and the Chaba platter.
Food was ok… panang curry wasn’t flavorful and the Tom yum soup was ok. I live nearby and would come here often if it was better but unfortunately I’ll have to keep looking for the good and authentic Thai
Moved out of state and came back to visit, and this was our first stop. SO GOOD! We came at 2 pm on a Friday, weird time to eat, but the service was fantastic and food incredible. We got the spring rolls, Tom-Ka soup, Spicy Basil fried rice, and Massaman Curry. Not enough good things to say, always the best Thai!
Excellent service and delicious food❗
Less portion for the price
Great good 👍🏽
I've been coming here for a while, and this was the first disappointing experience. The food was mediocre at best. The pad see ew was underwhelming. It was dry, bland and didn't have much of the dark soy based sauced. The yellow curry didn't have much flavor either. Hopefully they'll correct soon.
Solefish and Basil fried rice were amazing
The pad see ew was very dry and didn’t have an ounce of sweet soy sauce or oil. I was very confused. I usually like mine spicy but when I asked for sriracha or chili paste, they didn’t have any (told me it was too expensive) so I said I would take it home and doctor it at home. The spicy basil fried rice was great and so was their Thai tea. Karita was really sweet and I had a great chat with her, just really wanted my dish to hit right, sad day but it’s okay, I took it home and put great things on it. The only spice they have here is the dry chili powder by the way.
The bill was 48.46$ Initially I have authorised payment after next day I have seen my transaction in my bank app which was deducted 53.46$. I am not sure why the additional 5$ was deducted. While you were paying the bill take the payment receipt.
My family loved this restaurant. We enjoyed the ambiance and the food. Very authentic Thai food. Definitely, one of the best Thai restaurants.
Overall it was a good experience
Great food and service. Definitely recommend their panang chicken or salmon.
The coconut soup is awesome. Food prepared in traditional style. Their basil chicken fried rice and pad Thai are the best.
Good Thai food, order well in advance as they take quite a while, portions are not very large and it's pricey. But all in all, good taste.
I’m disappointed that we have lived here and avoided this place because it’s not on social media or didn’t have enough ratings…we are huge foodies and our time is spent going to limited places. My friend was down the street from here and wanted Thai. I suggested it and we went for lunch. Both got green curry. Mine more spicy than hers. OH MY GOD it was AMAZING! If I were to “complain” I would say more sauce pls and less veggies only because I loved their sauce soooo much. More people would ask for more stuff. Not me. Just give me a plate ok a bowl of rice and sauce please. So extremely yummy. Flavorful and hot! Loved it so much my friend came to my house and ate my leftovers lol and today we are going back for dinner. I’ve been to Thailand and I can appreciate the food served here. The lady was so sweet and attentive. It’s 2 mins from hubbys clinic and 8 mins from our home. It’s our new favorite local place.
I have to say I love Chaba Thai. It's still one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Gwinnett hands down! Food and service is always on point! Portions are great for the price!
Uber Eats driver: easy pick up plenty of parking
Good food, reasonable cost.
I ordered Panang curry and it came out in big dish making it look like a big serving but the dish was very shallow. I literally took a few bites and it was gone. It tasted fine but not great. Don’t expect too much from here.
The service on a Saturday night was very s-l-o-w. It took us 25-30 minutes to get our meals once we had placed our order.
Had the Massaman Curry. I've had this dish at many other places & it's a shame that the excellent sauce was the only good thing about this. The avocados were nearly missing, the baby corn was pretty thick & most of the vegetables consisted of baby potatoes. Not worth the money.
Great little Thai spot. The food is money, and you can tell its going to be once you see the inside.
They have dishes that not all Thai spots have. I highly recommend a dish called "Lad Na"
Coconut soup was quality as well.
Its located in-between Masti (Indian) and Ari (Korean bbq)
Sometimes they take a little longer on pick up orders, but that's cause they are always busy.
Plenty of parking all the time
Very rude staff
The worst Thai food and customer service ever. This place serve old beef. The beef was black and had an awful smell. We politely try to tell the owner but she refused to listen. Avoid this place at all cost!
Best Iced Coffee and Pad Thai around.
Really bad place . Was good a few years ago . Now it’s best avoided .Rude staff , pathetic food
Very good massaman
Taste food and excellent customer service
Food is great here and tastes good. I tried chicken satay, curry chicken, steamed dumplings, spicy basil fried rice (Thai hot) and Thai tea. Everything was great. Spicy food lovers can enjoy it. Soup had a subtle flavor which was good too.
Thai food lovers must try this place atleast once.
Ordered panang curry from Door Dash. It was watery and not tasty at all. Based on this, I will not be going there again.
The Yum Nam-Tok was not that good. I’ve had beef salad but this wasn’t the greatest. The beef was chewy. Not ordering again. The coconut soup was so-so.
They don't serve fresh food for Togo orders.
Only the starter(Spring roll) which was served was good.
Small place. There was one server but managed with multiple tables. The food was not bad, overall good. They serve beer and wine. The prices were reasonable. The wine bottle was reasonable priced.
Excellent food !
Great food!
Rude lady very impatient taking the order avoid this place.
Decent food. Very quite for Saturday night. Food was ready pretty quick. Location surrounded by plenty of restaurants, stores and very good theater. Night time seemed bit darker around, need more lighting outside.
Best Thai restaurant we have tried so far in Gwinnett County. Good flavor, quaint atmosphere and excellent prices.
Food is great here. repeating customer.
Drunken noodles was an amazing dish.
Great service and food! Definitely get the thai tea and massaman curry.
My first time eating here and I placed an order for delivery.
I ordered the green curry with chicken, nam sod, and Thai tea.
Everything was delicious! I got the lowest level spice (medium) for the green curry and I’m glad I did because it was still pretty spicy. It was delicious, and I love all of the bamboo shoots, it was not loaded with green bell peppers like some places, and I like bamboo shoots better.
The nam sod was good, it wasn’t great, could have used a little more citrus, ginger, and spice, but it was still really good. The nam sod was also not served traditionally, it had lettuce mixed in, but I prefer cabbage wedges no lettuce, so I will order it this way from now on.
The Thai tea was excellent, very sweet, but delicious.
I will definitely order from here again, can’t wait to try the basil fried rice!
This place has changed. It used to be 5 star across the board - now they're barely worth 2. I can't get past the $15 bowl of coconut soup, yet they're too cheap to buy the hot sauce that used to come with it and made it great. Jesus H. Christ; just charge me a little extra and offer it instead of complaining that the supplier wants $20 now instead of $16... that $4 a gallon just cost you a customer.
Excellent food and service but should serve food in 🥣 rather than plate difficult to eat curry from plate
Amazing! We had the appetizer sampler, Tom kha soup with chicken, and seafood salad. Everything has such wonderful flavor! The chicken satay was probably the best I've ever had, and the salad was such a neat combo of flavors. We couldn't stop raving about how good the meal was. Can't wait to come back!
Food was incredible, restaurant was relaxing and quiet.
Nice little Thai restaurant. Friendly folks who run the place, and the food was very tasty! Definitely will be coming back to this spot!
Fresh EVERYTHING!
Beautiful plating....consistent with everything we order.
-----------
It's been 8 months that we have been coming here; we love it!
We are always served with fine food and artistry. Simple, tasty and the background music of soft jazz makes it perfect!
I tried the sweet and sour beef and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in John's Creek! There is a reason it's one of the few (maybe the only?) restaurant in the shopping plaza that has lasted over a decade. Vegetables are always fresh, noodles are fragrant, and staff are friendly.
Service is great, and I'm impressed at how just a few staff members can keep things going smoothly. It can take a bit longer for food to come out during the dinner rush (especially pre-covid), but it's always worth!
The Catfish with Chili Sauce is my family's favorite! We occasionally get a large order for parties (broil and pour sauce to serve). The Thai classics, like Pad Thai and Drunken noodle and Panang curry are great. Thai Spaghetti is a hit with kids and teenagers, even some picky eaters.
Spice levels are as follows: mild, medium, hot, Thai hot. Even if you can handle spicy food, think twice before ordering "Thai hot". The waitress kindly talks customers out of it sometimes because Thai spicy is on another level!
Pros: food and service deserving of a long lasting business!
Cons: caution that "Thai hot" is only for those who can truly handle spice... It's HOT🔥
Excellent Thai cuisine! They actually have "Thai Spicy" menu selections. The chicken Larb was perfect, I also had the fresh noodle and basil rolls with peanut sauce. Followed by a smoking hot red vegetable curry with complimentary rice.
Very nice waitress, very good menu, very good food.
I love the food here but the wait here was to long!
Been coming to this little jewel of a restaurant for many years - always consistently great food, friendly service in a quaint quiet atmosphere. Highly recommended!!!
Great food!
Went here last week and was impressed with how clean it was and that your air actually works so we can keep cool. Also the server was kinda nice. However your portions are a joke and your charge to much for a plate of food. You barely give any vegetables with your pad see we. I was so hungry when I left. I will just go to Bai Tong instead. I will not be taken advantage of.
Excellent Thai cuisine! I'm not sure if it's authentic, but the food is delicious and the ambiance in the restaurant is very calm as well. The server and owner are also very friendly and are willing to cater to your every needs. A must try if you live in the area
Best Thai food around! I always order the Panang Chicken and my husband gets their Pad Thai. We eat here at least once a week - so frequently that the waitress has memorized our order!
Food was tasty and service was excellent.
The people were lovely, and the food was amazing!
Excellent food with perfect spices. I would recommend to try it if someone wants to taste real thai food....
I think one of the best Thai places in this area. I love This food and I have not yet been disappointed with their menu. First time? Get their Massaman. I just had their duck Panang and it was wonderful.
Drunken noodles were so good!
Tasty food. Reasonable price. Modest, reasonable portions.
A waste of $16... should have known better. Don't make the same mistake I made.
Good food
Amazing! Great fresh Thai food. One of the best Thai places I have been to in GA!!
Very good, Thai food. Portion size was great..
Not too much not too little. I asked for lever 4 spicy 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and it was quite spicy!
An amazing meal, everything was so fresh.....
Wonderful service. The waitress or owner of the restaurant was very friendly and waiting time was nothing. 😀 i ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was great. They put more flavors, veggies, and seasoning in their s&s chicken and it tasted much better than any other asian cuisine restaurant ive ever eaten. My wife and i will be back. Thanks so much for making it such a great first experience.
the worst Pad tahi and they charge me shrimp and send me chicken, will never order here again
The food here used to be really good. I guess over quarantine the quality and taste has gone down. The food is more bland and has very little spices in it.
Excellent!
a lil bit understaffed but epic curry!
Disappointed with family takeout. Much lower quality than we are used to. Food is bland, low quality ingredients, not authentic.
Always delicious!
One of the better thai places in area. Always fresh, good tasting and inexpensive. The only knock is I think they have only one cook and waitress
Been coming here for 4yrs n never had a bad meal!!!
Chingon
The entire experience, here, made our day! We would go back tomorrow in a heartbeat to get 2x as much of the food that we received this trip. Chaba Thai's quality of food and service was phenomenal! The owner, Sudawadee, even came out and spoke to us personally. She had been the chef, working in the kitchen, for at least 15 years..! So you know the food here is consistent and delicious.
Love it!
Great for pickup
10/10 best Thai food in Georgia. Pad Thai on point, Tom yum on point, Pannag Curry is to die for literally of you get it Thai hot
I have been going to Chaba Thai at least 50 times over the years since it's close to my job. I get the same thing every time...basil chicken. I'm trying to support local businesses now instead of cooking every day since I am alone. I ordered spicy basil chicken at night and it was $17.25 (usually 9.50 at lunch)but what I got was NOT basil chicken. There was only 1 lady taking the orders and doing the cooking. I didnt like the fried chicken entree I got at all. My suggestion is to make sure you check your order before leaving the restaurant.
After years of driving by this restaurant, I stumbled upon the menu online and decided to give it a try. Although this is a no frills, casual place that could benefit from more friendly service, the food is really amazing. You'll find a variety of dishes made with fresh vegetables and ingredients. The pad woon sen and soft shell crab tempura are my favorites.
Food Is great and the service is fantastic, best Thai place near the Johns Creek area.
Horrible experience. Food took over an hour to come out. They didn’t come to our table, ignored us, and dropped off our check before we were even half way done. When I went to the counter to ask about our food after an hour, they responded “cooking right now”. This was after they had already told us our food was coming out 15 min prior. Two tables that were sat 20 min after us had already received their food, check, and left before we even got out food.
They did not apologize or explain the situation. They also continued to ignore us, when we were clearly calling them. I have been a server for many years, so I would’ve understood if they just apologized. They just dropped off the food and check shortly after, not even checking on us.
A server came to check to see if we were ready to pay, when I asked about getting an appetizer off or a small discount for the inconvenience. I talked to a total of three people who responded rudely. Their point was it was busy, it’s already happened, so you have to pay. They also said it wasn’t their fault, ultimately putting the blame on us.
I have never had an experience like this. I’ve come to this restaurant many times, when it’s been great. I recommended that my friends and I eat here. I’m embarrassed for myself and this restaurant.
Will never come back.
I love the food and service here.. give it a try you will too
Yellow Curry was quite good.
Service was great. But they can be short handed. Just one server for the whole restaurant. She was great though. And fast.
We are a regular visitor to this boutique Thai restaurant. The service is prompt, the servers are super attentive and most of the times pre-empt your needs. I love their Tom Kha (coconut) soup and their Green Curry is my go-to dish.
Always love it 🤤
Great food. Great price.
Worst experience we waited for 40mins they didn’t respond... when I asked about my order.. they keep saying next yours next yours.. they bad staff ..
