Modern Asian backdrop for sushi, Japanese kitchen entrees & refined takes on traditional Thai fare.
Just amazing! My husband introduced me to this spot. We are both not a big fan of sushi but this spot is unforgettable and will change your mind in a heartbeat. Chef B really hooked it up. We ordered all of the “kosher” fish rolls - the staff already knew what we meant by this was which was so cool ! The sushi is so flavorful , carefully made, and overall was a great first experience. Will definitely be back for more !
This has been our go to spot for years (Biscayne Blvd location), it's sad to see that they are no longer there. No sign, no message on the answering service. It's a shame that we loyal customers that truly appreciated their cuisine and superb service, didn't have a chance to say "farewell" or have outr last taste of the pad Thai (which was my favorite)! I wish them well, wherever they've moved to... I hear that it's now in Doral. Enjoy!
I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could closer to 4,
Yuzi Excellent server, very attentive and helpful.
Food is good, tapas style appetizers a little expensive but comes with a good amount for one person. I ordered the new salmon style Sashimi , white fish truffle , crispy bok choi , shrimp shumai and salmon tacos.
Best of the best salmon tacos Delicious .
Fish truffle was interesting nice flavor fresh .
Crispy bok choi I had to return a little on the dry side I had better.
Salmon sashimi interesting tastes like steak flavor but good.
Shrimp shumai was good.
4* for the service and atmosphere tranquil and friendly. Food I would give 3* good but had better options around.
A gem of a restaurant, highly recommend Oishi Thai for date night, celebrations and even big parties. The freshness of the food, the taste and quality are top notch. Chef Bee has become an institution as far as Miami dining is concern. Red curry duck is a must and lychee martinis.
DO NOT EAT HERE!
We've been here twice, it's the worst Thai restaurant where I have ever been.
Tom Yam tastes like water with shrimp and red pepper and that's it.
Ramen tastes like water with veggies it wasn't even a soup.
Pad Thai is eatable, but it's noodles with red pepper and that's it.
The portion is big, but who cares if food does not taste good?
It feels like the person who never cooked in their entire life trying to make Thai food from the cheapest ingredients within 2 minutes
The 30% service fee is included in the bill no matter what
It’s crazy how the place is still running serving that low quality food
Why you say now is open, but is close. I come here from Miami Beach
Great service, our family go-to for Thai food! Hate to see you go.

This place serves fantastic sushi—fresh, well-prepared, and bursting with perfect flavor. It's a great spot for traditional sushi. I haven't tried their Thai food, but their sushi is definitely their strong suit.

Server not too friendly keeps coming every minute asking if we are going to drink something, I didn't feel welcome, not friendly attitude sensed from server. Smile and be nice doesn't hurt, but maybe his culture doesn't know that. I was trying to converse with my partner, restaurant was empty and all of a sudden a couple enter the restaurant and manager welcome these people like they were the owners... So loud and annoying for about 5 minutes, so rude in front of seated guests... manager has no idea on how to make feel customers welcome and kept having them back.
Then dragon roll sushi came, I give it 5/10, order also a tom kha soup, chicken was disgusting and had no flavor whatsoever , actually tasted old... soup was flavorless... 3/10 Then a female waitress came to save the night, very nice and proper. No wonder there was no one dining there when I got there 8:30pm... Restaurant completely empty, I should have read that sign. Don't waste your time and money here, any other Thai restaurant is by far better.
Worst service ever! And they add 18% gratuity no matter how many people they serve…. A lot of better thai food places around…
Thai food near my house! “How exciting “ is what I thought . I ordered a Pad Kee Mao to go . I asked the person taking the order if I was ordering drunken noodles to be sure. They said yes . I was given the dish pictured. Chicken was hard to even chew . No flavor and extremely dry. The noodles were rubbery and dry .I’m not sure what this even is . Just a complete disappointment . I do not recommend anyone order from this place. Unless you want a pile of flavorless disappointment. Definitely not legit Thai food .
Beyond expectations!
Very good food and service
Will come back again 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Decided to try out a new place with my family. Once arrived we sat down outside about 15 mins later a waiter who was unfriendly came around asking what we want to drink. I asked for tap water. He then came out and poured us water from a bottle and i said i asked for tap and he looked and said " its already open". Proceed to order a miso soup around the table 2 of them came out and forgot about the other 3.. till we said something. Going off that the sushi color was off from the same roll. The Pad thai was super chewy the beef, and noodles seemed to be refried again.. Overall terrible food, terrible service, and did i mention they charge a automatic 18% gratuity on the bill without telling you. No wonder nobody gives good service here. Better off getting a burger next door. Or going somewhere else. Highly do not recommend this place at all. What a scam, and what a joke.
It was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. The food was overdone and the noodles seemed to be refried. The prices are high and for very bad food. The main waiter was unfriendly and rude, the assistant waitress and the busboy were really nice, though.
Overall it was a bad experience, I will not return and do not recommend it to anyone.
We had to wait for 40 minutes for appetizers, left. Very disappointed.
Chef bee top of his game
High quality food & service. Their fried rice isn’t really a main dish but it is delicious.
Not coming back for sure!
There is a 18% mandatory tip that is included that they don't tell you about, on top of that rolls are super small and there is more rice than fish on them, look for sushi somewhere else.
We caught them as they were closing before dinner and so happy we did. The food was amazing I got some sushi but got to try the red curry with shrimp. Yummy! 🤤
I always like the friendly snd courteous service. Today I was very disappointed. We were the only 2 customers during lunch around 1:00 pm. We ordered lunch special and 2 iced teas. My black iced tea was transparent so I kindly ask to replace it. I was expecting iced black tea that always looks dark. Theys brough back the same drink with more ice so now is more diluted!. I asked Punchy why the tea was so clear and flavorless. He was very rude saying “no one ever complains, thats how we do it because no one likes dark tea” I mentioned that even at home one tea bag will look dark with ice. But he became defensive not friendly make me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Restaurant was empty and no one remove the dishes after we finished. They asked if we needed something else but failed to clear the table. Overall i felt abandoned with dirty dishes, not an offer to change or improve my drink. Then the server cones with a terminal to close the bill without the ticket. When I requested the ticket there was a surcharge of 18% that wasn’t mentioned. The percentage is calculated on the total including tax snd that is not right. Gratuity should br calculated on total before tax.
So disappointed because I love the food. Hopefully the owners will train the server to be attentive and courteous.
Delicious food + excellent service. Everything top-notch. Chef Bee is talented.
Excellent ! Fresh sushi and salmon taco ever ! Have to ask for the donas for dessert
I came in a few weeks ago to place a takeout order of a salmon roll and added a won ton soup. When I did eat the won ton soup it did have won tons in it but it was in a vegetable broth with strands of some kind of vegetable. Totally not what the menu stated. It was quite unpleasant including the won tons. I only ate half of it and later tossed the rest. Nee we ver have I had won ton soup that was like this and really did not taste right. First time I was so disappointed with their food.
!WARNING! This place will scam you and will give terrible food. They will not tell you about a forced 18% gratuity/tip then change it to what they feel that they deserve in instances over 25% if they felt like it. If you want to do 18% for example as originally stated they will argue with you and treat you as a pest. Secondly they will charge you over double for sushi with mediocre at best quality fish that other actual restaurants serve. I would recommend spending your money at a restaurant with actual food that doesn't speak to you like you're worthless.
I went there for 1st time one week ago when it was pouringgggg outside. Ordered to go. Since I was talking, they offered me an umbrella to take home, so kind! And then the food was amazing. I’ve been back twice now and had the curry every time. Service and people and food are amazing
The food is AMAZING, great for larger parties and service is not as bad as your regular restaurants.
When the owner takes the time to come say HI! Clear the table between courses and is genuinely nice! That in itself is amazing 😊 so fresh food, flavors are unique and tantalizing to the taste buds. cozy atmosphere (booths) are easy to sit it, comfortable! Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Often hard to find in Miami..... this family owned place should be added to your local list of placed to eat!... sorry no photos, we ate it too fast 😋
Chef B , you are still the best chef in Miami , for yers I have dined at this place and it is still outstanding ,
Chef B recommended the lobster with potatoes and avocado, it was delicious.
As always their rock shrimp tempura wow. Had to order a second one .
Good
Everything Chef B touches turns into gold! Amazing food and service - Authentic Thai ✨
RECEIPT DECEIVING
We eat at this place quite often. Their food is ok, but they are deceiving people on the receipt. They include the tip on the receipt without telling you yet at the bottom of the receipt they still bring up the receipt hoping people would give them more tip on top of the tip they already are charging us. Imagine how many people fall for it. I have been paying them like this for a long time.
They need to STOP this.
Perfect date spot, friends night, everything. Everyone was so nice and the was literally perfect
Save your day and stay away ! The asian waiter should not be working there ! He is arrogant and not made for that job ! The food is ok ! Nothing special ! They include untold % for gratuity calculated after tax !
Great pad Thai.
Good food, great atmosphere, service and prices.
Great food, fantastic service! Will definitely be stopping by next time I'm that far east. 🖖
Shrimp & Lobster fried rice and Lobster pad Thai were great. A little pricey but not may restaurants were open that late. There was 22% automatic service charge added for the two of us that I didn't agree with. But I usually tip 20%. The larger party next 10 got more of their 22% worth than we did. Our waitress left before we were finished. We ordered Thai food not spicy and got exactly what we wanted. Our waitress was top notch so I hope she got a good portion of the service charge.
We were very excited of trying this place, talked about it for weeks. Unfortunately we waited around 25 minutes and server never came. We decided to leave and go next door to the burger shop which by the way are AWESOME!
Very sweet service and the food was delicious :) was recommended by a friend and definitely was worth it
Really bad food. Maybe it was just a bad chef that day but it left me wondering if they even tasted the food before bringing out…
My roll was $2 more than it said on the menu online and it was tiny. Over $10 for a simple tiny jb roll is insane. It didn’t even have scallions on it & didn’t taste fresh. I’ve had better & bigger pieces of fish in grocery store sushi from Whole Foods. I should have read the reviews, apparently overcharging is a common theme.
I would give this place a zero if I could.
Food was way below average but the worst part is that we got scammed by the waiter who pushed on us food that was not on the menu without telling us the price. Our mistake we didn’t ask about the price, but the expectation would be since it that expensive that the waiter would mention. We paid $440 for dinner for two. I don’t mind paying this amount in Nobu, Zuma or other real high scale sushi place but this place was a dump. After seeing the receipt we mentioned that the certain dish that was not on the menu was way too expensive and it was not even good they didn’t care. I would not recommend this place because they are shady and because the value for money is really bad. I never felt more scammed in my life than after leaving this restaurant.
For $1000 at 5 person, we had sushi, sake, excelent service and a lot of fun. The service is impeccable.
Excellent fresh rolls and great hospitality
This place is absolutely elite. Only spot in south Florida you can get incredibly good Thai and Japanese under one roof. The staff is super friendly helpful. Make sure to order the massaman curry, beef jerky, crispy bok Choi and atleast a piece or two of seared salmon belly.
Expensive. We order sushi pieces and the salmon was $6 per piece I vrowes around sushi places near be and they were at $3.
Also when the check came 20% tips was included which since we were 6 but when I calculated it something was off. It was calculated after tax.... That's crazy I complaint and they fixed it. Was it a simple mistake, hard to say but now days that's automatic so you be the judge and keep and eye out for the receipt before paying.
(Update) I had a friend go they did the same to his bill so this is definetly on purpose. See picture of the bill attached.
I don’t know if it’s the culture of the restaurant or if it was my waiter, but it felt like they were very sneaky. I had looked at the menu prior to arriving and planned on eating from the lunch menu during lunch. The male server seats me and hands me the dinner menu (much pricier menu). He appeared a bit annoyed when I asked for the lunch menu. I didn’t want to think too much of it so I ordered the Panang curry (soooo good by the way). I noticed on the dinner menu a notice of 18% gratuity, so when I paid the male server had put the check in the black sleeve closed, immediately whipped out the credit card machine and had me insert my card. He did not say anything about gratuity being added so I opened the black sleeve to see if gratuity was added; indeed it was. The server did not inform me of this and the screen after paying asks to add 18% 20% or 22% ON TOP OF THE 18% added.
It’s a shame such a cute, quiet and tasty place has such shady practices.
The restaurant was moderately busy for a Sunday evening and unfortunately we were never greeted by a server. We patiently waited for almost 15 minutes until deciding to leave.
The food smelled like dog food. No offense to the Cheff. My friend and his partner enjoyed their meal ( mine was not what I expected) sadly I might not be coming back.
Used to come here a lot years ago. It's definitely not the same. Some sushi rolls came with too much rice and little fish. The royal seafood Pad Thai was far from royal. Seafood didn't have any flavor. Tasted like they steamed or boiled it and just mixed with the noodles. We wished we saved the money and ordered a regular Pad Thai.
My meal was pretty simple: miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, and vegetable pad Thai. Simple and absolutely delicious. They also didn’t rush the courses—I was able to sit and enjoy the evening. Not a local but if I get back to the area, I will definitely be back to Oishi.
Love this spot. Thai dishes are great
We have visited many of the Thai and Sushi restaurants in North Miami, Aventura and Hallandale.
Oishi Thai is our clear favorite. They are located in a small strip mall along Biscayne Blvd and owned by a charming husband and wife team. The restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor seating.
Oishi Thai is tastefully decorated, clean and staffed with pleasant, knowledgeable Servers.
The Owners oversee the kitchen and sushi bar with great skill. Every item we have ordered, from the Lettuce cups with seasoned Tuna to the their Pad-Thai has been delicious. Our favorite dish is their Miso Black Cod...the best version of this traditional Japanese dish we have ever tasted.
If you are looking for delicious Thai and Japanese food, served at a comfortable location and delivered at reasonable prices...CHECK OUT OSHI THAI.
The place is nice and they have good food. JUST BE AWARE THAT THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RESTAURANTS IN MIAMI THAT INCLUDE THE TIP IN THE BILL IN BUT THEY ALSO HAVE A SECTION TO ADD A TIP.
Great service. Great food. Great prices. 100% recommend
A gem of a restaurant, highly recommend Oishi Thai for date night, celebrations and even big parties. The freshness of the food, the taste and quality are top notch. Chef Bee has become an institution as far as Miami dining is concern. Red curry duck is a must and lychee martinis.
Great food and service
Ordered last night for pickup some sushi rolls, Pad See Ew and Massaman curry.
We really liked all the dishes as they were well portioned and tasty.
Some constructive criticism is that the Pad See Ew could have a little more rice nuddle and the curry has a bit too much salt but they were delicious otherwise.
Definitely will keep ordering from this place in the future.
Awesome food, atmosphere and service, food was superb
Best of the best
Menu says live steam fish, but they don’t have live fish. The waitress says it’s steam fresh red snapper fillet. It doesn’t taste fresh at all and very salty. The dishes taste horrible and service is bad. Never go back again. We normally tip 18% - 20%. They automatically charge me and my wife 20%. We eat quite often at restaurants, but never have been charged 20% for two people. It seems the servers should get 20% tips no matter how the services are.
Stopped serving lunch
Excellent
That was soo tasty! The service are impeccable 👌 Nice place
Be careful with this place. They take for ever to bring the sushi. And they tell you the sake is from the house and at the end they charge it to your check. Please be careful before you go.
Great service but food is average. I ordered chicken
Pad Thai and it was the worst I ever had.
Great place, great music and great vibes.
My new favorite restaurant @ Purdy’s ave
The owner was very rude to me, and I am a very loyal customer. I do not recommend eating here; try any other Thai place instead….
Great sushi and Thai restaurant! Everything is super fresh and tasty. We got the hamachi jalapeño sashimi, white fish with garlic chips, rock shrimp tempura, oshi sushi roll and tuna and mushroom hot dish. Everything was amazing, even more than the food the service was amazing. Our drinks never got below 3/4 full without them coming and filling to the top. The chef came out and introduced himself and asked how everything was. Great local spot!
They charge you 20% tip, the waiter tries to sell you all the expensive things, the service of the waiter is really bad , he does not deserve even a 5% tip
The waitresses are really good always, so don’t seat where the waiter is
My family and I have come to this restaurant for years and we’re never disappointed. The food is always flavorful and filling. Best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to.
Full House and no service. They are open but not enough wait staff so they turned out business away. I am so disappointed.
Be aware. Last night we went to dinner (3 couples) and upon receiving the bill, it included the 20% gratuity, but calculated on the total plus tax, which results in 21.4% of the total consumed instead of 20% that should be. Not happy with that inadequate calculation, when they brought the machine to pay with a credit card, we got again a nasty surprise, "it suggest again a tip, without showing the breakdown of what was consumed and the tip that was already charge (21,70%)" so if you are not aware, you end up paying a tip of "47.08 %". Crazy no?. Last time for us in that restaurant.
Sunday open at 2pm , but Google states noon. So we arrived at 1pm and had to leave again. Pls update Google information
Insanely delicious. The service to the food presentation. The quality of the dishes is insane. By far one of my go to and favorite restaurants in Miami :)
Muy mala atención
Llegamos y de mala manera nos dijeron que no nos podíamos sentar porque estaban llenos sin darnos la oportunidad de esperar mesa. Horrible!!!
It's OK. Thought it would be a lot better, since it's always busy. They sat me at the bar, and seems to be the invisible service area. Chefs were cool and attentive, but other wise blah, blah. Way better spots nearby.
Sushi was just OK. Had salmon which tasted fishy. Everything was bland and just OK. Service was slow, had to flag down waitress for more water, Diet Coke and to get the bill. Crossing this place off my list.
Don't let the location fool you, this restaurant is truly a 5 star experience!
Great food.
This may be one of the worst places for service in Miami. The waiting period for getting water took a long time. I had to hunt a waitress down just to get a menu. The food itself is good, but not worth the time waiting for it. The final straw was when we waited TWENTY MINUTES for them to package our food. Like I said, the food is good but this establishment did not offer any solutions or go out of their way to make this a positive dining experience.
Open Monday through Sunday from 12 - 10 p.m. on site - voicemail says closed on Monday. Called Friday 12:30 p.m. multiple times and no answer. Called at 1:00 p.m. and no answer. Can't order on line because not available to for pickup or delivery. Is this restaurant shut down?
This place has been amazing both times! Favorite place to eat thus far
I’ve never had a worse dining experience. My food took over 2 hours to come and it took 33 minutes just to get my check. Keep in mind the restaurant is filled to 30% capacity at most. This place should be shut down for the sheer lack of care for its customers. Absolutely terrible establishment.
Not sure where to begin with this review. Not sure whether to talk about how outstanding the hospitality and service is here or to talk about how outstanding the food is here. Either way this is the place to come to in Miami whether you're feeling Thai food, Japanese food, and/or just some delicious Asian cuisine. Chef Bee not only makes sure you have a delicious meal, but also makes you feel at home like family.
This is a spot the lady and I make sure to stop in at least once every Miami trip, if not twice.
Good food and service
The best place to eat in town Chef B and is staff are the greatest!!
Delicious Thai at a reasonable price.
Oishi Thai is easily the best take out in the north miami area. I have tried every Thai spot in this area and I keep coming back here for the food. Eating there is even better they have an out door area which is nice. The inside has great decor. On top of that the service is impeccable. Would recommend this place for a large group take out so you can try everything.
A romantic spot with fantastic food. REVIEW: Oishi Thai, not to be cliche, is a hidden gem. Out of all the restaurants and eateries in NMB/Aventura, this one stands out for the quality of it’s food and freshness. It is a proper restaurant. And more than that it is a Thai Restaurant which makes it more rare. Normally you run into overcooked, bland or stale food.. or let’s just say underwhelming. But Oishi Thai, you can order with confidence and excitement. The location itself is stuck into a corner, with outdoor seating and a cozy indoor area which makes a good backdrop for a date. Their staff were also very polite and the experience in general makes it one of my top restaurants.
Good food and pleasant outdoor service.
Incredible dishes, great atmosphere, perfect staff. Oishi Thai is a staple restaurant on the Miami scene. Head Chef Bee is friendly and makes certain you will have a great experience!
El sushi está muy bien preparado, agradable sabor. Tienen un pescado entero frito divino!! Excelente atención y calidad precio valor
Taking in to consideration that this is not a Michelin star restaurant with a celebrated chef, considering the price point ( not inexpensive, not expensive) I must give this place 5 stars. Service is always very good, their food is constantly good, the ambiance is bery nice, good location, overall 5 stars considering all those factors
best thai in Miami and amazing sushi too! the menu is so varied and diverse and everything is so flavorful and fresh!
Delicious food. Excellent service. Reliably great experience in restaurant and to go.
Was a pleasure to have dinner with my family amazing customer service and the food was absolutely delicious would recommend to any and everyone thanks so much chef Bee and continued success
Very good food and good service
Great food!!! Love it!
Unprofessional staff
This is by far the best Thai/Japanese restaurant. Their quality and freshness are unmatched. I love their Thai seafood soup and their salmon sashimi melts in my mouth. I would go everyday if I lived closer. I sincerely recommend this restaurant.
Very nice place. Food and service were excellent.
I placed an order for delivery, waited an hour and half, called the restaurant and they responded with "we never got your order"... Instead of trying to figure it out and say sorry we will make your food and send it.. they just refunded my order. REALLY? Fix your order systems, or train your employees to use the system. Very disappointed, I really wanted to eat the food from your restaurant. Better management required at your establishment.
A small little spot by TGI Friday's that definitely has a nice ambience with jazz music and romantic for a date night. The food overall is AMAZING when I got my meal and my date had her meal and it's seasoned properly from the meat to the broth it was soaked in. I definitely would recommend this a lot to anyone looking for Thai food near FIU biscayne bay campus and for a great dinner!
Good food, attentive staff
Did take out order thru uber eats quick and good service. First time ordering from this place. Will say okay.
Chicken Pad Thai is soooooooo goooood!!!
We are sushi lovers. This is probably one of the finest quality sushi restaurant in the United States. Just discovered last year. Service is always friendly and attentive and ambiance is excellent. Prices are high but not outrageous and definitely worth it. If you have a refined palate GO!
Good atmosphere and good food. Good place to try good Thai food.
Asked for mild green curry but was still spicy
Excellent Thai-Sushi restaurant. Good portions, very tasty. The restaurant is tastefully designed. The service is friendly. I always enjoy eating there. Highly recommend it.
The lunch specials are amazing. Especially the red curry.
This place is amazing! The food comes really quickly and the waitresses are really nice. This place is one of my favorite sushi places. You should definitely go there. I’ve never had a complaint about the food because it is delicious. It is a very calm and quiet restaurant which I like. Btw the Thai doughnuts are amazing and should definitely try for dessert if you go. Amazing restaurant!!!!!!
They serve big portions and for affordable prices. very nice employees. Will visit again.
Excellent food ! Great service
One of NMB's best neighborhood restaurants. Chef Danny's Omakase stacks up against any in the country when it comes to creativity and presentation. This is one of my 3 Favorite Restaurants in South FL
Great sushi
Best Thai food in Miami !
Fantastic food and service. Need to go back and try out more of the menu especially since so much of what I ordered was made fresh.
It was actually pretty good! I loved their won ton soup and daimyo Maki roll!
The food was ok... no customer service..no toilet . .. as in you had to walk 0.5km to find toilets... if i wanted to go to McDonald's for toilets i would of gone for dinner.. we sat there for 20 mins and no one served us.. apparantly you had to go up and pay first... no clear sings saying that ..
Horrible experience will not be returning...
last new from oishi thai, hotaru ika
Attention to details is amazing, always consistent in freshness and preparation.outstanding....
Best Thai food ever! Exceptional service
Food ok, service needs to improve
Expensive, small portions, incomplete. Food was poor..
Decent atmosphere, good service but bad and overpriced sushi. Probably should have stuck to the Thai food but my review is regarding the sushi. I came here because the sushi pictures on yelp looked great and fresh. To start, the sushi on the menu was around $5, which is fine if they came in pairs like normal sushi restaurants, however it was PER PIECE! Fine, we ordered tuna, salmon and hanashi. Then the sushi came out. The tuna and salmon were visibly dim and not fresh. They weren't very old but they also weren't brightly colored and fresh textured. The taste confirmed this. The hanashi was OK. All pieces were also on the smaller end of the spectrum for nigiri. My recommendation if you want to sell expensive sushi, make sure you serve top shelf quality. The roll we ordered was tiny and altho supposed to be spicy jalapeño, did not have any spice whatsoever. The mango sticky rice was great and we probably should have tried the Thai food instead.
