So disappointed of this place.. we waited over half hour to get the food. We got part of our order and then another 10 more minutes for the pad Thai which was very bad. Low quality shrimp and sauce tasted like burnt. Never coming back.

OMG DISGUSTING! They served us nasty processed chicken nuggets for Thai Chicken. I kept trying to figure out why it looked like that, then I saw the nasty nugget shapes.

The owner has the audacity to respond so casually. This food doesn’t even match the photo shown for General Thai Chicken. It’s not the purveyor it’s your chef and the restaurant standards that allow you to serve less than quality food to you customers. I wouldn’t recommend feeding this to an animal!

This place is hot garbage (excuse my french) tiniest of portions of subpar at best food. Do t go there if you're actually expecting good food, never mind food rhay resembles Thai food. So pathetically bad. I'm so bummed that I wasted 12 dollars on a pint of dry orange chicken. And on top of all that, they literally put the food on TOP of the rice, so whatever little moisure or sauce the food might have had. Got instantly soaked up but the rice. I might have been ok with 7 dollars? Or if they would have warned me that the daily special actually means that you get half the amount of the normal amount is my guess? And if that's not actually the case and that's their normal portions for those ridiculously expensive prices, then how in the heck are they even still in business? It's not even fancy, so wth am I paying for? I paid over 12 dollars for a pint of dry wanna be orange chicken over a measly amount of rice. Pathetic. I'm definitely never found back there. And I would heavily recommend you or anyone else following suit (unless you don't mind being ripped off and tasting sub par food to boot)

The chicken pad thai was so satisfying. Can you see all those bean sprouts?! Just how I like it. Ronald handled himself very professionally as he took my order and prepared the meal as I requested.

After some shopping at homegoods across the way, my mom had an appetite for some Thai fast food. Naturally we decided to go here.
My mom ordered and paid and being much older she wasn’t so used to the check out process when selecting a tip percentage. Her total was about $16.80 and these people took advantage of her by flipping the screen and tipping themselves 68$$$$$

I ordered a chicken pad thai, but what I was served tasted nothing like any chicken pad thai I have ever had before. It was bad. I wanted to like this place because there are so few places serving Asian cuisine in this part of Miami. On top of that, it was ~$20 for the pad thai and a soda. Overall I felt I overpaid for a meal that was so bad I did not finish it. I had low expectations given this place is a chain restaurant, but I was expecting a lot more than what I got.

p.s. - If you want good pad thai in Miami, Blue Elephant in Westchester is amazing.

Food is great, but genuinely THE worst service I've ever had. I ordered at 8:02 and was told that it was ready by 8:30. I arrive at 8:38 only to find that my order hasn't even started, while the restaurant is empty. I wait another 15 minutes for my order only to get home to find out they gave me the wrong order. Just an awful experience. Love the food but the service has been bad the last few times I've ordered from here.

When you see the red flags you trust your instincts. My wife and I were deciding where to eat and most of the restaurants were packed, we didn’t want to wait. We noticed the Thai Express was empty Red flag # 1. We ordered and the food was blah not worth the costs compared to other great spots to eat in the area. The staff looked thrilled to see us, sarcasm if you can tell, Red Flag # 2. If you’re looking for prison food this is the place for you. My wife is currently in bed feeling sick 🤢 We’re more disappointed in ourselves for ignoring our gut instincts, now our guts are punishing us. Not the way we wanted to start our Saturday.

First time tasting this fast thai food, and we were impressed. The green curry with prawns were absolutely delicious - well balanced with a hint of sweet and savory. Prawns perfectly cooked and many of them. The fried rice was flavorful and not greasy. And the chicken and basil with baby corn was a tad spicy but well made. Definitely be back - for take out. Can't beat the value!

Curry Shrimp Meal was excellent.

The service and the staff was amazing. Especially the manager on duty, Ruben.The food was so delicious and so was the Thai tea.

Thai express has been my favorite lunch spot lately there food is always fresh made to order with amazing favors orange chicken is great but my favorite is pad thai... Saul I believe he is the manager has the best customer appreciation ever..... love this place 9 out of 10 stars....

Go here if you are willing to waiting 30 mins for your food. They work at a slow pace and food tasted frozen. I really didn't enjoy my time here.

Very dissapointed with my order. Just left Waited 20 min for 1 chix stir fry Which was horrible. 2 pieces of old bland chicken tossed with a sauce that was suppose to have peanut sauce. No flavor of peanut. All thrown in a pint size box. On top of soggy rice. This is NOT Thai food. spring roll. horrible. I was the only person in store How do you mess that up. 4 Staff members just standing around No sense of urgency to prepare someone food. Owning a restaurant my self. This was very bad expierece. Better training needed on preparing food. I know this can be much better.

I’m only giving this two stars because the free chicken wings with the chili sauce was crispy and delicious. everything else was pretty awful. Thai soup was ok, taste like Pho. Tom Yum was sour and gross. Pad thai is so far from a traditional pad thai that i don’t even want to call it that, awful. Green curry tasted like spicy yogurt soap.

Thai express ❤️ The last 2 weeks I been eating lunch there. Our company has been working on one of the adjacent buildings and this place has to be the best place on this strip. The people working are very friendly and inviting. Ruben is one of the guys that works there and he makes you feel like your visiting his home. Awesome dude awesome place and awesome food! Very disappointing. The quality of food is nowhere near the price they charge for it. I ordered the Beef stir-fry. The beef was absolutely terrible. A cheap cut of meat that was previously frozen. You can tell from the grey color when it should be brown. It had no flavor what so ever. The vegetables were not good either. They were soft when they should have been crisp. The baby corn was brown instead of yellow and tasted bland. To make it worse, the majority of the dish was rice, 3/4 rice and 1/4 beef and vegetables. The imperial rolls were soggy and not crisp. The Pad Thai was just as disappointing, which is sad because I was hoping to find a good place in this area. We will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I ordered two dishes to pick up, noodles and red curry with chicken, and taste wasn't good. The chicken wasn't totally cooked. Too much junk food taste.

I've been ordering delivery from this thai express for a couple years now, and it never disappoints. Recently we've started dining in, and it's added a whole new sense of appreciation for the food. From the appetizers to the curries and noodles we've not had a bad dish. Service is great, and the dining room is cozy and clean.

This Thai Food Restaurant is so rad! A lot of the dishes are spicy and have Thai chili in it, so be ready for some heat. The three meals we ordered were all excellent, very flavorful. The service is super friendly too.

Place is off the hook! Decided to stop by randomly while waiting to get my car fixed with no previous knowledge of the place and was incredibly pleasantly surprised, the number 1 is probably one of the most flavorful things i’ve ever eaten, and staff is super friendly they helped me find the right choice for a quick thai restaurant they did a great job talking me through all the dishes and flavors will come more often to this Thai express.

Now that I have been able to try the place it’s time to update my review. The first thing I will say is that if you’re expecting fancy thai cuisine....stop...this is not the place for you and go somewhere else. Thai Express does live to its name because that’s exactly what it is. If you’re craving Thai food and you don’t want to wait at a restaurant/drive far then this is the place for you. I tried the pad see ew and it was lacking in flavor as another review stated, but once I added some hoisin sauce then all was well. There seems to be a lot of hate for the place and I get where it’s coming from, but it’s not warranted; the staff is very friendly and they want you to have a good experience.

The lunch specials are delicious and a great deal. The location is clean and the service is friendly!

I like how I've only seen 1-star or 5-star reviews so far. People cannot honestly think this is that bad or that good...

Most are just dissapointed a restaurant called "thai express" isnt the Michelin Star thai experience they thought it was going to be.

First off yes if you are expecting 100% authentic thai this isnt your place. Go pay double elsewhere and wait 3x longer for your food. The curry isnt even served in a separate bowl just scooped on top of a plate of rice. The stir fry and fried vegetables both seem like something you could get at a panda express. Actually "Thai Panda Express" would be a great way to describe this restaurant.

4 for may seem high for my description but as a whole package this place meets my expectations. If this wasnt counter serve and double the price it'd probably get a 2 or 3 star but..... The daily specials are among the cheapest quick food in the Midtown area and taste better than the others.

Only thing stopping me from returning more often is the Thai Curry can't even be made vegetarian (fish sauce).

LOL-- So here is my review -- My mother and I were shopping across the street, we stopped at the coffee place next store - and the owners were just ripping the paper off the windows, announcing they were opening- we chatted for a few --really nice guys - We decide to come back a few hours later - after shopping, Pretty cute place ,well decorated --greeted when we walked in - they explained the menu - we ordered - watched the staff flip the pans around - our food was served on these beautiful little plates . Me and my mom ordered two different plates - plus soups. Really good broth, noodles were good, and meat was flavorful--White rice was cooked to perfection - orange chicken and veggies tasted great. Mom got stir-fry with fried rice and a thai tea --I'm not a fan of the cold tea but she loved it-- I got a soda from the machine - All is good -Food was good-- Price was good -- We were happy - and was passing on to a friend - Looking forward to stopping by again when I am back in the area!

I’ve been waiting for this place to open for a long time! I know the city hasn’t been friendly to a lot of the business owners trying to open around the area.... Absolutely love this place! The midtown thai express is great! Located conveniently near the Starbucks and Hyde hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was out faster than I anticipated. I brought it home and everyone was pleased. We are full without that heavy post-fast food feeling. Even our one year old continued to ask for seconds. The fried rice comes in several options. I think next time we’ll try the Thai basil. The soup really hit the spot. We went mild with everything because of the baby but I’d love to stop by again (alone) for lunch and try out the heat levels. So many nice options To customize your meal, we’ll have to come back and try more! Def check it out if you’re hungry and especially in a hurry.

Imperial Roll -- they were already prefried and sitting in a heated area. Veggies inside were really watery and bland.

Pad See Ew -- OOF. Just by looking at the noodles you could tell something wasn't right. They're very rubbery; I've never had to chew a noodle so much. I got it "very spicy" and it was quite spicy, but the spice didn't have any flavor which was surprising to say the least. Oversalted and bland. I don't know what else to say. I managed to eat half and threw away the rest.

I'd like to recommend that they do away with the cafeteria trays they're serving everything on. They've got these cute little plates, but then they put the plates on cafeteria trays. Blows my mind to think someone thought Midtown would be a great location for this restaurant.
