This is such a great place and a must try if you’re anywhere in Key West! The service is outstanding!!! The food is absolutely phenomenal! The sushi rolls are fresh and large. Totally worth every penny. We had leftovers we had to wrap up to go.

My husband & I ate there for lunch. Great views from the second floor deck. The menu will have choices for anyone’s taste or cravings. We both had a bowl of the miso soup. The BEST! The seaweed salad and house salads were also so good and refreshing. My husband’s favorite is the crab rangoon and the spring rolls were light and stuffed with veggies. We also tried the lobster roll and tuna roll. I can’t even explain how great this place is!!

And I do not appreciate the aggrandizement . You cannot because the outdoor deck faces the East, but the West. The sun is obscured by the roof. What a delicious place to stop by I've had the Pad thai Lobster and my girl Chicken Teryiaki

Awesome Thai place in Key West. Food was delicious and they had an awesome lunch special from 11-3pm. Food was expensive but worth it. Drinks were even better! Would recommend to anyone looking for a place not too crowded on the island. One thing I noticed was a lot of construction and not very wheelchair accessible.

I usually get carryout here. Having spent some time in Bangkok, I can say the food is pretty good. Thai is one of my favorites.

Thai island restaurant is completely misleading. The Pad Thai is far from authentic—overly sweet, stale noodles and lobster, and the presentation is nothing like advertised. On top of that, they tacked on an $8 service fee to an already overpriced $30 lobster Pad Thai.

One of the best restaurants we tried in the Keys! The food was fantastic, both in quantity and taste, and the prices were very reasonable. We had dinner at Thai Island, and the food and service were great! The food was flavorful and came out in a timely manner! The service was friendly!

Nice looking place, friendly staff, quick service for my takeout meal. The pad see ew was the worst I've had anywhere, and the most expensive. Utterly flavorless. I understand the high cost of food on the island, but you would be better served getting a microwaved noodle meal from a grocery store.

Nice Restaurant at a marina. Furniture is old and outdated. Service are all thai and very nice. Food is a mix of sushi, chinese snd some westerniced thai food. Good but not super.

Beautiful atmosphere and great service. Server was super sweet. I ordered the wrong thing and she said not a problem and brought me the dish I meant to order. (My fault not hers). I do not believe there is an accessible entrance as you have to go up a flight of stairs. There is a bar on the bottom floor. Seating is indoor or outdoor.

Thai Island was my favorite place to eat on our vacation to Key West. The food was some of the best Thai food I have had period. I had the basil stir fry with chicken and WOW! Fiancé had the lobster pad Thai with crab ragoons. Everyone who works there really cares about your experience and the owner was so sweet and so cool. The view was also so beautiful! My only regret was not making room for the delicious looking mango sticky rice! Love it!!

Great food for a great price away from the more touristy areas! My wife got the Chicken Pad Kee Mao and I got the Lobster Pad Thai. Both were fantastic! Pro tip, order the Pad Thai with a little extra spice to balance the sweetness in the sauce.

The atmosphere here is hard to beat as it's on the 2nd level and the patio is overlooking the water! Highly recommend!

Sushi is great, but non-shushi entries are always overcooked and dry (chicken, pork, etc), and menu is overpriced (like all of KW). Beyond that, wait staff is horrible, especially the lady we had this last time, after being rude and treating us like an inconvenience to her day, she actually had the audacity to argue with me about her tip not being big enough. Seriously? LOL. Also the facility is disgusting. This place is a short walk from my house, but we won't be back.

As a regular customer for over 6 years. I experienced the MOST uncomfortable situation with the OWNER of this establishment. I called 45 min prior to arriving to reserve my favorite table. I arrived, table was open and the owner insisted on seating me somewhere else. I explained to her that I called and she blatantly refused to sit me at my table. the place was not loaded with people and she told me that I had no chance to sit at my favorite table. she said she didn't care that I called and reserved and I was not to move to my spot. got up to leave and she told me she didn't care if I go and was ok with me leaving. o spend well over $7000 taking friends and family there every year. what a rude person. my Service animal SAKE and I will sadly never set foot in that place. I feel terrible for the staff there because they are all amazing people. I refuse to support that NASTY OWNER. so from now on. I will stop over and tip my favorite workers there and go eat elsewhere. Food was fine, atmosphere was fine, my friend paid cash on a large bill and left a 15% tip. Waitress came back with the bill 5 minutes after taking it and told us it was an unacceptable amount to leave on the bill. Admittedly my friend had miscounted the bills and meant to leave more, however, we were completely shocked and appalled at how rude they are. Will not ever be going back.

I been coming here for 20 years! I have always love this place ! Are there new owners???? Hostess older lady non Asian was just unpleasant and plain awful! Rude! So rude! We’re nice people! Why do you have to be so rude to someone for no reason!?? We walked right out!

I am a type of person who always leave a good reviews on places that I know specially if it’s a local business. But this time I am sharing my experience because it’s just not nice. We came to this place to have dinner all excited and happy. My husband and I been here couple of times, but this time we are excited to take my mom and our two kids for 1st time. As soon as we arrive this lady who assigned you to be in your table put us outside even though we’ve asked if we could be inside because it’s a lil chilly 🥶 outside. She said theirs no vacant inside and we don’t have choice but to be outside because it’s not that bad. We agreed and we ask for a high chair because I have a 20 months old baby. When they give the high chair it was all so dirty. Nasty!!!!! You can see the black thing on the side of the chair like it’s never been clean. More like mold!!! And above all it’s doesn’t have the safety clip that will hold the baby. I ask for a better one and they said that’s all they have, every thing is all the same. Broken!! My husband happened to go inside trying to entertain our toddler and he saw that theirs a lot of available table inside. My husband came to ask the lady again and said if we could be inside because he saw theirs space there, she said no because we have kids. We’re like really? Anyway, back to the high chair, the lady grab a white table cloth and tries to put it in the high chair, told the lady, i really don’t care much about the dirt there, i care more about the safety because I wanna be sure I eat my food with my baby all secure and not going to fall. The lady said “well this is all I can give you! (Sounded like it’s our fault that they have that ugly dirty unsafe high chair) husband and I with my family left without ordering anything. I will never go back to this place again and I will never recommend this place ever again!
Goodluck ‘ I am an Asian who loves Asian food obviously, and I know the food here is good, but with this type of treatment you get, the food would taste horrible. Not only your not enjoying the food, you won’t enjoy the vibes of this place too just because of this lady who thinks, only people that dress up nice can be inside.

Honestly, I’ve been in Key West and this was the worst restaurant that we ate at. There’s like a weird sketchy bar downstairs. That’s really ran down then you go upstairs. The servers were not great. They were very rude if I could rate this place on one to 10 it would be a -5. Don’t waste your money and go there.

The only restaurant we visited at key west. We had a rental boat boarding near this place. The food was extremely good. The shrimp tempura was just amazing. The chicken satay was good with mild coconut milk and yellow curry taste. The chicken fried rice was also good. You can make the dish more hot/spicy by adding powder or sauces from what they provide as per your choice. From cocktails we ordered Thai mai tai and pina with vodka .

Best quality Thai, Malaysian, Japanese dishes! The quality is fantastic every time we go! And the service is excellent as well! The kari laksa noodle dish is amazing and big enough for 2! Jewelry Roll and Smokey roll both very delicious!

The food was really tasty and the man who served us in the afternoon was very polite and attentive.We tried combination fried rice and chicken teriyaki.we were very doubtful initially about the food by looking at the ambience but the taste of food exceeded our expectations.

If you’re looking for upscale, this is not that, but I enjoyed the charming, relaxed setting of this great restaurant! The food was better than expected and definitely better than other Thai/sushi I’ve had… great portion sizes, too. Sushi was a generous portion, which made the price right… 10 pieces with ample tuna in each piece. They made an off-menu combo I requested with no hesitation.
Manager (possibly owner) was present and invested in the operations of this place… very involved and supportive of his staff and attentive to customers who might have questions. VERY IMPRESSED w/ this place and I’m not easily impressed as I’m told I have too high a standard most times… we go out to eat frequently.

Excellent Thai food and sushi. We got the Pad ka Pro and Pad Thai. Also got two orders of delicious sushi. We sat outside upstairs and had an incredible view of the water. Reasonably priced per Key West standards. Nice to get away from tourist central to a wonderful hotel with great service. Will be a favorite when we return to Key West

This was our first dinner in Key West. I called to see if they have Gluten Free and Vegan options and they do!!

There's a bigger space and bar downstairs. You have to walk upstairs (take your immediate right once you enter the main door), there's a small dining section indoors and some seating outdoors. I loved how charming the inside was. It made me feel like I was either in New York or in Thailand.

They have Gluten free pad Thai, which is sometimes challenging to find. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was amazing! There were no bean sprouts or lime, but that doesn't matter because I really just want the noodles, chicken, egg, and scallions.

My son ordered the tofu pad Thai and he ate it all!

My father in law ordered a roll and it was massive! He ate it all too!

Their stir fries can be gluten Free and vegan.

If you have allergies to gluten, you definitely should come here. If you need vegan options, come here!

The best food Thai in Key West.

I have been to this store many times and don't care about the price. What pissed me off was that their card machine charged me twice. When I refused to tip, the waiter told me not to come back. They don't realize you overcharged me and don't want to pay me back, that's theft. I can't believe they are such horrible people. If you don't want to ruin your vacation. I suggest you try another store.

The manager there call all the shot I just got in town. I ordered some food and she said I was drunk so I pay for my food and I will never go back there again. The manager have a bad taste.

The food was excellent and the service was great. We enjoyed the lobster pad Thai, salad, and summer rolls.

Came here for date night. The experience start to finish was excellent. We ordered the Chicken Basil Stir Fry and the Pad Thai. Both were full of flavor and just the right amount of spice.

Szymon greeted us and sat us. He was our server. Just the right amount of attentiveness without being over bearing. He even noticed our table was wobbling, so he got out a wedge to fix that.

The meal came out promptly and tasted amazing. What a great date night on the marina and watching traffic and boaters in marina.

This was my third visit over the years and everyone one has been great.

Thai Island has the best sushi on the island. The tuna nachos and the Key West lobster roll our some of the best things I've ever enjoyed. Been here four times in the past 4 months.

Downstairs it's a dive bar at best. The people are friendly and give good service. Upstairs in the dining room it's very nice and service is great. The food is great large portions and great flavor. Don't let the outside appearance keep you from getting a great meal. You can pull your boat up to it also. The wall that faces the water is separating from the building.

Came here to grab lunch . We had a lovely waitress with a warm smile .My wife got beef teriyaki and I got green chicken curry. For appetizers we got the tuna taco I think that was the name. All the dishes wear amazing even the Thai ice tea.

Not a lot of people, and I understand why. 1 floor was closed, look like they don't even open. The waitress always forgets something.. what is weird, too? Da wir nicht à la carte gegessen haben, kann ich leider die Qualität nicht bewerten ABER: Kommt man wie wir vom Big Game Fishing, so wird aus dem eigenen Fisch ein schlichtweg köstliches Sushi zubereitet!! Es war einfach nur fantastisch!! Dafür gibt es verdiente 5 Sterne!!

For my last night in Key West, I was delighted to find myself by the moonlit marina dining on a scrumptious meal of sweet & sour shrimp while my colleague had duck. Preceded by a tasty appetizer of chicken dumplings, the main course was mouthwatering, delicious and more than adequate. The Thai tea wasn't on the menu, but when it came, it was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Key West.

My family and I came on Tuesday and had to come back Wednesday. Everything is exceptional here. The attention, the service, the food!!! Our waiter Harry is so great!!! The manager Ivonne is great as well. Everyone is awesome and the view is lovely. We saw the full moon perfectly from the rooftop. Thank you Thai Island for a wonderful experience!!! You guys made our Key west trip that much better!

Wow!!! This place is amazing!! From the food, to the service, to the attention… everything was great. Our waiter was so helpful and so awesome, wish I could remember his name. It’s our first time in key west and this place really made us happy- as yesterday we went to a horrible restaurant! Thank you Thai Island for an overall great family experience. :)

Food and service were mediocre but charging gratuity without consent. Beware!

If your a sushi lover you will adore this place! Everything was fresh and delicious! Whatever you do you have to get the tuna nachos! They were to die for 😍

We ate here for a change of pace in the normal Key West cuisine. I had the Red Snapper with red curry. Also we had chicken fried rice, Pad Thai, chicken katsu, and a green chicken curry. Everyone enjoyed there meals. It was all hot and fresh. The curry was really good. The only draw back is there are stairs you have to take in order to get to the restaurant. So it’s not wheel chair friendly. Prices are what you would expect for the area.

This review is long and thought out, may be a lot to read and will explain why I am giving this restaurant 1 stars. Me and my friends visited this restaurant on Thursday 7/6 for dinner. We arrived around 8:40 pm. Upon arriving we were greeted my whom we believe to be the Manager or owner of the restaurant. We were seated outside for dinner. The view was chill, it was pretty humid and there were a few flies. Upon being seated we waited about 5-7 minutes for a waiter to speak to us and bring water out. The waitress assigned to our table was not pleasant at all. She did not introduce herself, was not clear about the menu, she not only rushed us (bringing the check while we were eating, slamming the check book on my friends hand while she was putting her card in the book, but she then snatched it from her hand), she did not ask if we wanted more water, nor did she replenish our cups we had to ask several times for refills (another waitress, short woman with glasses very nice kindly refilled our drinks and asked us how the meal was and if we needed anything. She was very pleasant, joked with us and was personable). Our assigned waitress, during our meals did not once come to the table and ask if we needed anything or how the food was. We ordered 1 Combination Fried Rice 2/10 (lacked flavor, portion size was huge which was plus) 1 Seafood combo which was a 4/10, 1 Beef Salad 5/10 which lacked flavor. both meals (Seafood combo and Beef Salad, were requested to be spicy, upon bringing the food out both meals had pepper flakes dumped on the top). We did order appetizers (1 Chicken Satay 2/10 and Shu Mai 2/10 (it was cold, sticky, lacked flavor, gummy, not made well did not taste like real Thai dumplings, it was nasty overall). After ordering our appetizers we had to wait a while to order because the waitress did not return to the table, I had to call out to her and stop her to let her know my friends were ready to order. When she brought the food to the table she literally dropped it on the table and walked away. We were confused and kept wondering if there was a problem, but ultimately we were uncomfortable and no longer wanted to dine there. The one time she did come back to the table was midway while we were eating to see if we were done and to bring the checks. We kindly told her we were still eating but that was ignored. at this point we felt like we were being rushed out. After paying, the waitress came back to the table picked up the tabs and walked away. No, thank you, no have a good one, just silence. Ultimately, we will not be returning to this restaurant. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Really loved this resturant, but I was told tonight, and by told I mean yelled at, by the store manager I was not welcome back. She yelled at us for not leaving a tip for a waitress who was unattentive and unfriendly the entire night. Tipping culture has gotten out of hand, and the manager had actually come out to our car to come yell at us. She was even offended when we suggested she pay her employees. I got a little video to share before she stormed off.

Good food and good service. Sushi is better and more unique than the Thai food so recommend you get that!

This place was amazing. A bit of a find and confusing because there is a small bar downstairs, but when you get mid-way up the stairs, the atmosphere completely shifts and your are transformed into the chill environment with a beautiful view over the water and greeted by some very noce people. Everyone was awesome and knowledgeable about everything. They helped us with everything from what we thought was Thai but was from other cultures, let us sample to build our plates properly and patient with my wife who's a vegan.
The food was 10 stars
The services and staff was 20 stars
& The Atmosphere was 30 stars.
We didn't want to leave but had to get back b4 the boat left. This is a Key West hidden treasure. We recommend this place to everyone we came across and are sure they had the same great experience and foods that we enjoyed.

Oh my gosh, roof top dining, the sky, the moon and then add delicious food, yes please!

I loved everything that i ordered for lunch here! The menu is huge so take your time, but so far everything we tried was amazing. Fresh seafood salad, and the bento box was packed with flavor and it was one of the freshest sushi i ever tried. Will be back!

The food is beautiful and delicious! The view was great. I thought the quality was top notch and I would definitely recommend.

Just a small hole in the wall for Key West! Has amazing fresh sushi and Thai food! Highly recommend and will go back every chance I get!

Cute spot away from the main street. Beautiful views of the marina. Delicious food.
