Contemporary interior designed pan Asian bistro plating wok dishes, sushi & more.
Great quality and presentation! I've ordered from The Sea for several years and they consistently create delicious food and high quality ingredients. Portion sizes are good for one meal without much leftovers. I've ordered both take-out and eaten at the restaurant. The food is well packaged for delivery and beautiful ok arrival
The place is nice but they need to do business work in the back office and not on dining tables (my opinion). Nina was our waitress but she must have been having an off day. She was dry and not patient. When in the customer service industry you must not lose your patience just because a customer would like you to repeat something for clarification. Not pleasant at all. The food was very good, though. Would go back for the food but was not happy with the service. Too bad
These other reviewers just have no sense of dining culture in Asia. It prioritizes giving you space, and not checking in so much during the meal.
Anyway, our party didn’t even have that problem, great food and very polite staff. Also, this is one of the few restaurants in this area I’ve seen with non-gendered bathrooms, and I really appreciated it.
Overpriced bland food with bad service.
We went there when it was a quiet afternoon service with a group of two. It was a couple of months ago and I still remembered the bad experience vividly. We were the second group of people there, but it took around 80 minutes to get our complete order into the kitchen. A lot of people standing around not doing anything and suddenly became packed. It looks like they favor the regulars as we often became overlooked. What’s worst than bad food? Overpriced bad food. It doesn’t leave a good taste in your mouth.
We spent over $300+ in random appetizers, entrees, and mixed drinks, but we left disappointed. We even chose the most popular choices recommended by the menu and our waitress. We brought home a lot of leftovers, but the dogs didn’t even want some.
If it matters: The interior decor looks nice, but the parking was not.
Productive feedback: work on the service. Even with bad food, people can still have a good experience.
Excellent sushi and very good Thai food. Going there for lunch on a regular basis and ordering a few sushi rolls that just come and taste amazing. Tell them you want everything to come together to the table and you'll get an amazing presentation when you order 4-5 rolls at least. Be sure to try the monster lobster roll, it's worth the price.
i would have given the restaurant a higher rating but our waitress, Lina, rudely interrupted our conversation stating their were people waiting for our table.
. We arrived at 6:45 pm and she came to us at 8:13PM . Secondly, there was no line when we left and there were plenty of empty tables. I have NEVER had any waitress dismiss us especially when we were only there less than an hour and a half. I guess she wanted a “second seating” for herself.
Normally, I go all out on my reviews, but I wasn’t very impressed with this place. I’m only taking away one Star though because I only ordered a California roll and dumplings and they were okay, and I just want to say that the customer service was not the best. We specifically went to this restaurant because we heard good reviews from people who are allergic to gluten and only one person seem to really care about my friends, gluten allergy, they didn’t try to offer her
what she could Eat rather than just tell her everything she was asking for she couldn’t eat, because it contained gluten. The main reason why we went there was because of the good reviews on what we’ve heard and got the opposite. The place is still vibe, but the customer service was a little weird. And, like I said, I normally go all out on my reviews and post more, especially videos and feature them on my page but this place was not giving at least not when we went, but it might for other people.
The chicken fried rice is my favorite dish. The food here is unique. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
I've gone here often and have loved it in the past, but this last time, the food just wasn't up to its usual standards.
Great quality and presentation! I've ordered from The Sea for several years and they consistently create delicious food and high quality ingredients. Very nice place, go for happy hour, we have been there many times before, lots of choices.
The food was great. Great lunch menu great service from the sweetest waitress Nina. Definitely need to come back next time we are in the area.

Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Wonderful service.
Delicious. Great menu. Great service
Excellent food!!!!
Always wonderful
This will be my last meal there tonight. Food was horrible, asked for it to be spicy and it was bland as hell. No one was in the place yet i had to flag someone down to get a drink. They have raised the prices and it certainly isn’t worth it. Time to find a new Asian restaurant. This place stinks.
great sushi/sashimi. nice size portions good value
Great food, quick and friendly service, nice atmosphere and good specials.
Food was very good except the sushi.
Overpriced bland food with bad service.

Food is average...nothing special.
Pat was an excellent waitress, she was very efficient, helpful, patient and professional. We definitely will ask for her again...
Now that the snowbirds are back, it was very difficult and rushed while eating there last night. The only redeeming factor was our waitress Pat, who is extremely efficient and got us our meal, timely and correct. We are regular stare and try to sit in her section as much as we can.
Wonderful! Love the fantasy roll
It was my first time there, so no expectations. They have a huge menu, so plenty of options. We had wonton soup, roast duck, fish, tofu, and more. The flavors were fine and we enjoyed ourselves but not worth the $320+ we spent. Plus, they were out of the dessert option we wanted. What surprised us the most was after leaving a 17% tip we were asked if there was a problem with the service. What’s the deal? A 17% tip is a problem? So, if you go, and you don’t give a 20% tip, you might hear about it.
Ordered Korean Bowl and it was saturated with a salty liquid
The beef and basil is worth going back for. Very delicious and fresh.
Fresh and delicious food. Great lunch menu. Happy I tried this place. Open all day.
Great service and food
Came for happy hour, was alright. Weird experience with our server, not very friendly.
Never disapoints!
First timer here and there was so much I wanted to try I have to go back...
The duck was delicious !!
Love this place great food atmosphere and service
very awesome. nice place for old people because its quiet and it has good seating
On first visit this was a very nice find in beautiful Boca Raton across from the Morikami museum. Casual atmosphere and ambiance that offers outdoor dining. The food was delicious. Cooked to order. Ginger chicken was freshly prepared and very tasty. Appetizers (edamame, gyoza and miso soup) were all seasoned and cooked perfectly. Decent proportions and reasonably priced. Skilled kitchen and wonderful vast selection of dishes.
Update- 2nd visit was sadly not as satisfactory. Martini had too much sake or vermouth, Thai dumplings were pasty, felt very rushed and server was rather abrupt, hovering and not very friendly. Perhaps she shouldn’t have come on this day. On a positive note the Mongolian beef and Kanu roll was very tasty. 😋
Please tell management to inform staff not to repeatedly check on tables so much. Asked to be seated at another table that felt too crowded and was denied despite a 25% capacity. Staff was also lingering around and leaning on counters. Somewhat distracting. I’m sure they can find something else to do. Would be a great place if not for constant pressure from staff to order more despite ordering a great deal of food.
Happy Hour people who enjoy Asian fusion should try this place. Love the food. Great HH menu.
Food is good . A bit overpriced.
Great food. Chips with salsa are warmed for you. Great fajitas and quesadillas, and Chicken M Moole was
Service and food excellent
Unique flavors and always good service. Great HR. Wife and I go often.
The food is always delicious, service on point, and the atmosphere is nice.
We frequent the Sea often…this visit was awful…pad thai fine but the scallops way overcooked…the soup broth tasteless;
Should have gotten miso soup and sushi instead
The food was really good I tried the sushi boat and every single fish was really fresh and good
Mistake number 1, going on a Friday night at 8pm during season. Went with my brother who was visiting from NY. Sat outside, beautiful night. All the food we ordered, and we ordered a lot looked very good and tasted pretty good.. but it was ALL COLD! pork rolls we're good but cold, couldn't send them back because after 2 bites they were gone.. Peking duck was only the duck breast, not the whole duck and was dry and cold.. you can't re heat cold, dried duck.. the main problem here is that they need FOOD RUNNERS that only bring food from the kitchen to the table! The servers were too busy to run their own food.. I went over to the open kitchen and hot food was just sitting there waiting for the waitress to pick it up? I'll try again off hours and be back to update this review.. BTW, expensive
Busy. Waitress was cranky. Great food
Great staff, good food, nice happy hour. Got there early and were seated immediately even though the restaurant wasn't open yet. (20 mins early). Sampled a few appetizers and drinks off the happy hour menu. Over all a great experience, looking forward to returning and ordering main dishes.
Extremely overpriced and not worth the visit. I’d give it 0 stars if that was an option. The service was terrible, chicken was overcooked and I couldn’t believe the server even brought it out to our table. Atmosphere outside was chaotic and servers paid no attention to their tables-food runners and other staff did more to help. Kitchen was disorganized and we witnessed other tables complaining and sending back food.
Overcrowded place with not very friendly atmosphere from staff as well as from guests.
We came with kids and other people in a restaurant was not happy to see kids there. I felt very unfriendly and uncomfortable with 2 -6 and 8 old .
They weren’t inappropriate, but at some points - a bit louder then average there.
Food- nothing special, regular asian cuisine with overpriced menu.
Appearance of the meals did not impress me ether.
Our waiter was ok to get our orders, but later did not come by and it took 3 times to ask to get our dessert.
When I asked to pay . Waiter was standing next to me and breathing in my ear with comments that made me very uncomfortable about her tips.
I prefer not to go back , unless it really necessary.
Our water was ok with
The food is always excellent. And my server Pat was great. Very pleasant and knowledgeable about the many options on the menu.
Not worth the time, money or effort of trying to park in an insanely packed parking lot and honestly the food was just so-so. Very crowded and with reservations, seated late, which we understood. The hostess had the most hostile and negative attitude. When we were finally seated she literally threw the menus on the table and walked away without saying a word. I get it, it's Friday night and the restaurant is a madhouse, but why is she taking it out on us. The waitress was very nice and took all our orders and then we asked for separate checks and she walked away to get another waitress to take our order because she was writing it on paper and the other waitress had the handheld computer. So we gave our orders all over again. Which I didn't mind, but I was wondering why she didn't ask first, although we should have probably told her first. We sat outside and a funky smell, kind of like garbage kept wafting over every so often. Again, the food was so-so. Owned by Lemongrass but the one downtown is much better.
Great food and atmosphere. 1st time there and it won't be our last.
Best Sushi in Palm Beach County
On a hot and humid evening the front of the restaurant was opened up giving us an authentic South Asian atmosphere whether we wanted it or not. We were seated by a silent employee and five minutes later given water by another silent employee. When asked to put in a drink order she broke her vow of silence only enough to tell me she couldn't do that, the server would. While we waited for the mythical server to appear we looked over a menu that had good looking options of perhaps a little too many, possibly giving some choice paralysis. After another fifteen minutes we figured the mythical server to be just that, a myth and not a reality so we left, all those food options untired. As we passed an employee at the entrance I mentioned they might want to send a server to a table that gets seated and I was met with the signature silence of the restaurant, not even a glance my way as I tried to talk to her. A perfect restaurant for those practicing a vow of silence and fasting. Not a recommended choice if you ever want to actually eat at a restaurant.
I've been here many times the food is actually excellent a bit overpriced from other places but always a very decent meal
This is a great place, the challenge is parking, but if you get past that, the place is really nice overall.
Nice lunch portion, tasty food!
Everything was wonderful, the food and the service. Tuna poke bowl was great too.
The food and the numerous selections were wonderful.
Normally, I go all out on my reviews, but I wasn’t very impressed with this place. Great Japanese fusion around the corner from home.
Great food...Mongolian Beef I love it...asked the Sesame Chicken..delicious. The Sea Fried Rice does need a little work..not sure they need to add the Calamari and large pieces of Beef to a "Sea Fried Rice"...my friend had the Kung Pao Chicken, was a bit flat. Maybe use the chicken thighs instead and you'll have a more tasty offering. Overall great service good food and ill be back..definitely give them a try...If it helps I am a chef myself so I do know what I am.talking about 😀
Excellent
Great service delicious food ! Perfect hot tea and dessert as well highly recommend The Sea 🌊
The food was excellent. Generous portions. Unique Chef Specials.
Spicy Tuna Dip appetizer was very tasty. Our entrees were Scottish Salmon Panang Curry and Basil Chicken with Jasmine Rice. Both were very flavorable and fresh vegetables. Service from all was very attentive and friendly.
We had a great meal at The Sea. It’s been a while since I’ve had excellent Thai food in general, and I was happy to find this place across from the Morikami Gardens.
I ordered the red curry with brown rice and chicken (gluten free). It was flavorful, fresh, and they gave me a ton of chicken. Plus the price was great!
My dad ordered the chicken gyoza and udon with beef (not pictured). He enjoyed his meal as well.
The restaurant was busy for a Sunday night, and the ambience was friendly and inviting yet elegant. The wait staff was very nice and extremely attentive, constantly filling our water glasses.
I really want to come back and try the sushi, because it looked great.
All in all, a 10/10 experience here!
Love this place. There is a wide selection of food all of which is excellent. The staff is very friendly and so was a little robotic server.
The food (duck and sea bass) was delicious and Kim who provided the service was an absolute delight.
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable…
Best duck soup!
Utterly amazing and authentic. It’s very popular among locals for a reason.
More Thai than anything else although a nice mix of Asian dishes both large and small. Fresh and delicious food. Fine service. Well-lit with a friendly atmosphere.
Stopped in here last week. Service was good especially if you get your food delivered by the cute little robot. Sushi was excellent and that’s the only thing I will recommend. Tom Yom Soup wasn’t spicy and either was the spicy Chicken. If you’re in the area, the sushi is worth the trip.
The managers here are horrible. They force you to pay for food that is returned due to poor quality. No apologies, no attempt to rectify the situation, nothing, just drop the check at your table and run. The food has consistently gone down hill and the service (if you do get any) is worse than what you would get at a fast food drive through
Service is as bad as it gets.. some of the food is OK for the most part; other items on the menu are tasteless, or are not fresh. Management does not appear to care about the customers.
This is a very cute restaurant that I strongly recommend. The decor was stylish and modern. They had a robot to serve food, which was quite an entertainment. We started with pork dumplings. The filing was flavorful and juicy. I also tried pad Thai tofu which was outstanding. The tofu was crispy on the outside yet soft and flavorful on the indies. We will definitely be coming back here soon.
I always love coming to this place! I come for lunch usually but been here for dinner too about a hundred times lol. All their employees are very nice and the food is always top quality!!!
Terrible rude waitress
First & Last Time
Not waste your money
I would give 0 stars if possible! Rude waitress, we did stay for food had a drink and left, never to return. Reviews are not correct.
Good tests who love sea food
Amazing asian bistro! Very high quality, very authentic. I have a gluten allergy / celiac and I have a good selection to order from!
Average
Was on a family vacation and had this place for dinner on Sunday ordered a miso soup which was very salty and also ordered a chicken Katsu which was a little brunt
Service was the worst. The server came back asking for 18%tip ($50). Saying it was required. Tip is not a requirement unless specifically included on the check. She was rude and very unprofessional. She even said she would call the manager.
Absolutely a disgrace!! Our first time and last! The customer service and management should be ashamed. After waiting and asking multiple times for something we asked for, at the time of paying the waitress stops us and tells us that we need to leave her a $50 tip! She not only demanded the $50 tip, she then proceeded to bringing in the manager. I’m sorry, your tip is based on your service!!! A complete scam! They should be ashamed in bullying their customers!!!!
The food is pretty good quality. The wait service was ok but the hostess ladies weren’t the friendliest bunch. The bathroom could use some paper towels or a real toilet paper holder and maybe tillable soap dispenser instead of a soft soap $1 pump, just looks not finished. Something’s are ok here but other things are kind of half way done. Not worth the $ if you ask me for the value. The location is in an expensive residential neighborhood so I do understand the prices they can and will charge but I expected a little more.
The Sea remains one of my favorite restaurants in Boca Raton. The menu is huge and food is excellent. I usually have the Lobster Pad Thai and some sushi, both of which is fantastic.
The service is very attentive and now they even have robots that deliver some food and the check. Very cutting age for a restaurant not known for its décor or trendiness.
You aren't going to The Sea to be "seen". The clientele is a little older and the paparazzi will never be there. But, if you want GREAT food and service, I highly recommend.
The food was cold twice , and I sent it back and came back second time cold,
By far the freshest fish in town. There is such a noticeable difference in the taste and quality of the sushi. I would put the Sea up against Nobu any day. The staff is always excellent, but not bothersome. The stir fry dishes are also very good. Can't beat the happy hour drinks and food. Get a reservation they fill up quickly during season.
Extensive menu
Well the woman who's seats you or takes the reservations was not the friendliest. I want to put my name and then practically pushed me aside and told me to get out of the way rude so we sat and we had a great waitress. The food was excellent and the drinks were excellent love the robot that comes out to help serve
It’s President’s day and thanks to hostess Penny five of the Wolfpack party were seated / we sampled a variety of delicious appetizers. And ordered an array of mouth watering sushi and red snapper with chili sauce . The Wolfpack highly recommends this excellent Asian restaurant . Thank you Penny for your outstanding hospitality .
Excellent service and food is delicious, last time I ordered a sea bass and it was great, definitely one of my favorite restaurants
We had our rehearsal dinner for 16 people during happy hour. The service was fantastic! The food was awesome! Try the Panang curry it’s great! Our family has been many times.
Great venue serving excellent appetizers along with fresh sushi and entrees. Service was prompt, courteous and professional. We'll certainly be back sooner than later.
😍 lovely place for a delicious lunch.
Nice ambiance inside and outside. Very nice servers. The food was good, but we found the portions to be skimpy.
Definitely not the place to go for excellent service. But most dishes are great! I recommend going for the more Thai like options, they seem to be better then the obviously Chinese dishes. Service from waiter was fine, but food runners/clearers don't have proper training and tried to clear while we were still eating multiple times.
The food was really good. I thought the waitress was ok. The service was average. Nothing special. I had an $87 Bill and left her $13 tip. Confusingly she came back to the table and asked me for more tip. I thought that was absolutely rude.
Been here many times and each time food and service have been excellent and good value. Highly recommend. Wife had Hong Kong Noodle bowl. Plenty of food!
Waitress was very nice. Food was decent. We ordered a drunken noodle and got spaghetti…very strange. That was a total turn off.
The food is not the same anymore. Everything tastes bland and tasteless. The quality of food is horrible. It used to be one of our favorite restaurants but certainly not anymore. Will not go back to that restaurant.
Singapore noodles and shrimp tempura were good. Service was good, not great.
The dinner was delicious! Menu is plentiful with selections of many different kinds of dishes and cuisines.
Food was okay. Poke bowl was really salty. Kung pao chicken was really tasty. Check was dropped before we finished. Not bad, not great.
Delicious food.
We went to the Japanese gardens nearby and it was fabulous! There was a restaurant there but it was crowded, so we looked for a place nearby and found the Sea! Excellent food, good service very friendly, we did however have to ask for the lunch menu. Bento box was delicious and generous. We'll be back!
I've always enjoyed the lobster Pad Thai here and today was no exception.
In a word. Meh. Not worth it. Way better Thai places around.
Great food
Mediocre food. Expect to wait. Tons of staff, no real efficiency. Lack of leadership is evident because out of some avg 20 rables seated, 18 had no food and were in some loop of waiting to order or waiting on food.
Add a robot that moves 10 feet to deliver food slower than a motivated human. This was all too bizarre, I won't go again.
Very nice location with friendly and effective staff serving delicious food. Will definitely be coming back!
So nice to have such a hidden gem so close by. Great food, both Sushi and Thai. Service is on point!
Food excellent, service very Good.
Great
Cute atmosphere, good food, great/friendly staff- cant ask for much more
I had a bad experience and haven't come back. Tried to scam us with a bait and switch. We ordered a menu item of fried snapper, waiter asks if we want in pieces or whole, we said whole. They then triple the price on the bill and said whole is a different item. Would not adjust the bill. I disputed the item with Amex and haven't gone back. Why not just be honest with customers instead of trying to scam them?
The food was absolutely delicious! Had the chicken satay, bao soft shell, lobster monster roll, red spider roll and the kc rainbow roll. The quality of the food was incredible and they gave you a good portion.
Good food, excellent service and very friendly and accommodating staff.
The lobster and shrimp wonton soup is 10/10. I highly recommend this restaurant and encourage everyone to try the curry short rib.
Excellent
All I have to say is OMG, OMG and OMG once more. Try the sashimi sampler, the Peking duck pancakes, crispy rice with spicy tuna on top, chicken gyoza, the child's menu has chicken fried rice. This restaurant gets it all right!!! Oh and top it off with the fried ice cream and fried banana desserts. The flavors at the Sea are an experience. Well done.
Loved the pineapple with shrimp scallops. Jumbo sized cooked perfectly.
I've eaten at The Sea three times both pre and post Covid. Every visit was a different experience. Both the atmosphere and the food are good and I enjoy the upscale environment. It may not be the best Asian fusion cuisine I've ever had, but it ranks up there. The presentation is top tier and I love the soups and sushi. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are. Reservations recommended and I do plan on going back a 4th time, but am not in a rush.

First and foremost, I would like to say I absolutely love asian food and trying new restaurants. Today was my first ever time going to Sea South. I thought the decor of the restaurant was very nice and I was impressed by the robot server. However, I did not like my server Tatiana or whatever her name was. I ordered some sushi and fried rice, the food was acceptable to my taste. However…. when I was drinking my glass of water I noticed a bug in it. It looked kind of like a small cockroach and it really did gross me out to the point where I didn't want to finish my food. It wasn’t even on the surface of the water, it was deep inside the water which makes it seem like it was in the water jug from when they refill us our drink. I am not a karen so I wasn’t going to cause a scene or make it a big deal. When Tatiana came over to clear our table because my friends and I were basically done with our meals, I brought it to her knowledge that there was a bug in my water. All she had to say was “umm, okay?” Like what?? Any normal server would've atleast say my apologies or im sorry let me get you a new water? or atleast act like she cared. I then asked if she could do anything for me like give me a 5% discount or anything and she immediately said no. She said that she’ll ask her manager and knows they would say no also. She comes back to gives us the check and I asked what her manager said about the bug in the water. she said “oh well the doors are open so it must have came from outside therefore there’s nothing we can do for you” I let it go and paid for my meal and left. Ur first experience at a restaurant determines if you would ever go there again or recommend to other people. I will not be going there ever again.
No enough servers there for sure. Our server worked really hard and was nice but the service is just ok.
The price is not too expensive but the food quality can be better.
Great service here from pleasant staff. Food was fantastic although there was so much extra stuff on my volcano roll that I had to literally go digging just to find the actual roll buried underneath. By the time I got to it, the sushi was a bit soggy due to the excess sauce. Outdoor seating area was really nicely shaded which I greatly appreciated. Only downside of dining outdoors here was, because of the location, you may have unpleasant odors during your meal; my lunch was unfortunately interrupted by the unmistakable scent of a dog's bathroom break happening very close to the patio area. Overall, good food though and generous portions for the price.
