It’s not a fancy place, but it’s a very good place. Rather to say it is a very nice place to have a lunch or dinner. Ambience is standard for this type of eateries. Service was a very good and helpful. What made it so special are our choices from the menu. Both Yaki Udon, Shrimp and Seafood, were delicious. Wine pairing was a perfect. Not to mention, Tom Yum Soup and Seaweed salad as excellent complement to the main dish.

The staff were all friendly and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. Everything was clean and the atmosphere and lighting were beautiful. We also got our food extremely fast, considering we were there a little late. There is no question that I will come back and if I lived here I would be a regular.

There was a little bit of a wait for the food but that’s OK because it was the weekend and so it was expected for them to be busy. I apologize I forgot to take pictures of the food, but I did have the Pat Thai shrimp flavored And the cucumber salad, which were both delicious the shrimp in the pad. Thai were very big and very clean and which I appreciated it they even gave me a sauce to try with my cucumber salad. I will be visiting them again while visiting Daytona in the future. All my food was hot and fresh.

I’ve been here so many times, ate inside a few times but normally I call and pick up my order. However for my birthday we went and sat inside to eat for an early lunch. Everything was beautifully plated, fresh and, prepared with love. The staff is kind, stay on top of drink refills, & have no problems getting me a lot of eel sauce ( I believe it’s made in house, the flavor is the best I’ve ever had). We ordered two lunch hibachi combos both with steak, one with shrimp & the other with scallops, came with fried rice, noodles, veggies, clear soup(forgot to snap a pic of the soup) & a salad with ginger dressing (the salad dressing isn’t my favorite but everything else was FLAWLESS ). We were given a complimentary holiday roll, cooked so well we actually ended up ordering a full one. We got the salmon katsu roll, snow krab roll & King Cobra specialty roll. In addition we also got the Harumaki appetizer which is a delicious spring roll, really good if you like fresh gingery veggies :) 10s across the board. Nowhere else does it better than Fancy Q.

Editing my review 3 years later. I've been coming here since it opened. I both dine in and frequently get doordash. The food is consistently 100%. It always feels like they are preparing food like it's the first time and they are trying to impress and keep a customer. They have never messed up an order and the quality is always so good. I love the fancy dragon roll, the crazy girl roll, the thai tea, and their curries are also amazing.

Amazing food and even better service. Kind and inviting atmosphere even with a 3 year old. The wait staff were right there if they thought we might need something. The best experience I’ve had at any restaurant, hands down.

This is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Extremely attentive staff. They even gave us some soup and sushi on the house! I modified one of their signature rolls and they knocked it out of the park. Absolutely delicious for a great price and if I’m ever back in the area I will definitely go out of my way to eat here again.

If you are a fast food junkie then this place is for you. If you are looking for tasty Thai cuisine, and quality sushi, then avoid at all cost. Pad Thai tasted like they dumped a half a pound of sugar in the mix and the sushi rolls tasted like five day old fish. Enjoy.

We popped in here for a late lunch/early dinner on a whim as we were hungry. The outside of the strip mall seems questionable but the inside of Fancy Q Japanese & Thai is much nicer. The owners of the strip mall should probably clean it up a bit and the businesses would do better I am sure. The food was really good. We ordered the shrimp fried rice and the steak & shrimp hibachi. All of it was great! Holiday roll was my favorite of the rolls too.

Got seated quickly, me and the wife both ordered the Bento Dinner for the sheer value of it(24 pieces of sushi for 16.99). While we waited for our order, we each got a complimentary clear soup and a holiday roll to share. Staff was super friendly, sushi was on point, service was quick. This is everything I want in a sushi place.

I don't know if it's the time we went (10pm) but we were served a few complimentary items such as clear soup AND a holiday roll. The bento box dinner was such a delight! 24 pieces of sushi for less than $17. Can't beat that!

We are from out of town and stopped in to have lunch, and we were so impressed! The sushi was great! Our waiter and the staff were all super friendly and gave us a complimentary sushi for our table to try! We came in last Thursday night after welcome to Rockville. It wasn’t too busy.

The waitstaff was attentive and kind. We put in our order and as we sat there, our server brought me a soup i didn’t ask for (so kind) and then a plate of fried krab (on the house)
That is what i call excellent old school service. Our server didn’t have to, but it was an extremely kind gesture.

We stayed in Daytona Beach and searched out this restaurant, the Thai food are so delicious, it is worth our driving here! We'll go this place again next time.

My husband and I popped in here Friday afternoon. Not many people in the restaurant so I had my reservations but man was I pleasantly surprised. The service was fantastic! We ordered the fried pork gyoza and cheesesteak egg rolls for apps, and the gyoza was some of the best I’ve had, perfectly crispy and a great sauce! We each ordered some sushi and that was excellent. I would highly recommend and we will def be back! Oh and the prices were so reasonable!

They have great food and good prices. The only downside is the soup they need to give it more flavor. When you go to other restaurants like fuyi yama in Orange City, they have great tasting soups. Other than that, they are my weekly spot for lunch.

There's always room for improvement. The facility doesn't suggest much from the outside looks, but don't be fooled by the looks. The courtesy, cleanliness, the food quality, and the speed of service are what really count here. And the prices are very well justified (inexpensive).

This is our favorite place to get sushi in Daytona! It has great quality sushi and other plates that are ready quickly. You don't have to compromise taste and quality for a good price at this location either because it's reasonable and delicious! We have tried several of the specialty sushi rolls and always get the gyoza. The seaweed salad is fresh and a decent portion too.

Pleasantly surprised at this hidden-in-plain-sight gem of a restaurant. We greeted warmly as soon as we were stepped in the door. Presented with a very clean dining area with sultry, dark ambience; we embarked on an absolutely delicious lunch.

We started with the avocado balls. What they lacked in imagination in naming, they made up for with a wonderful flavor bomb. Each of these little spheres was packed with an adequate, but not overwhelming, amount of crab and avocado with fish roe and sauce that required nothing else to be added.

We ordered four rolls in total. Two were basic salmon and a basic tuna roll. The other two were the phoenix roll and fire tuna roll. The basic folks were six pieces each. Their size was small enough to be bite sized, but filling. Good fish to rice ratios. The specialty rolls were recommended by our server and I’m glad they did. They were absolutely wonderful.

We very much look forward to our next visit there to explore more of the menu.

The service staff were very attentive. The food was well-prepared, tasty, and affordable. Would highly recommend.

This was my first time getting sushi here and I used Uber Eats to deliver it to me. It was very good! I got miso soup, sweet potato roll, avocado cucumber rolls, and a futamaki roll. My favorite roll was the sweet potato. I will definitely be ordering here again!

If we could give zero stars I would. As a tourist your best bet is to get something you have near your home. I ate here and order the shrimp ramen, a bento box and more. Out of all the stuff that I got only 3 things was worth eating. After all the money that was spent I didn’t even get to enjoy because I was awfully sick afterwards. The shrimp ramen was not edible had no flavor and very bland and when brought up I was told that they can’t take off the ramen and have to get something else and had to push for them to take it off. I will not be coming back when I come back to Daytona!!

Great Japanese restaurant with sushi, hibachi and other options. Not the greatest part of town - homeless beggars in the parking lot - and not the nicest building from the outside, but inside it’s actually pretty nice.

The staff are friendly and accommodating, even the last hour before close (rare these days).

Lots of variety on the menu, but not an overwhelming amount. We had pork ramen, shrimp and filet hibachi dinner and an avocado ball appetizer. Everything was delicious and it came out fast.

Great sushi, surprisingly low prices, and super nice service!

This place probably has the best Thai curry around. I had the steak and shrimp hibachi last time. It was plentiful and yummy. The people next to us ordered sushi, and it looked amazing. The prices are great, definitely the least expensive for Thai in the area and we've always had good service. Plus, they give you a free appetizer. Though, the place itself is kind of weird. It's in a plaza, which is fine, but they have blacked out all the windows, so it kind of has a bar vibe, and you can't see out, which I don't like. We keep going back, though, so it's obviously not a deal breaker. 🤣 The food outweighs the ambiance by far, and I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Great sushi, was given free miso soup and a roll when we got there. The staff was amazing and kept checking on us. Food came out relatively fast and spaced accordingly between appetizers and main course. Will definitely go here again next time I am in the area

Free soup and crab appetizers. Bottle of white sauce kept at the table. Good lunch deals. Got two decent portioned meals for $30. Gave us bendy straws with our drinks. Beautiful restaurant!!

This is a hidden gem in Daytona. Is near the Daytona Speedway. The ambience, food, customer service is fantastic. My family and I loved the food.

One of our weekly (or twice) eateries for 5+ years. Such friendly staff & attentive service to match. We have them customize our sushi for dietary restrictions & they do it consistently perfect. Other Thai & hibachi dishes are great also.
