The sushi was mediocre at best. We did take-out. What a disappointment to get home and find the Salmon Lovers Roll was not topped with seared salmon … just another piece of raw salmon . How could they even make this mistake? And the sauce with it was lousy.
The food comes in cheap containers with a cheap set of chopsticks and not even a spoon with the miso soup.
I would say this is a bad value for the money and not the best choice of the many sushi places in the area. We were very disappointed.

Food here used to be sooooo good! Service is a little on the slower side, but they are super friendly and accommodating. They had the best lobster roll. I like that you can ask the chef to make you something special and almost always, it's something excellent! The last few times we went, it wasn't as good. I'm not sure if they changed chefs or not, but the food was not satisfactory.

Sushi Rock Boca Raton is a community and local favorite of mine without fail every time. I am always extremely pleased with my meal. I am never disappointed in flavor, freshness, or temperature. I have no reason to attempt this at home. 😋

First thing I noticed is how clean this place is! I sat down and had a dragon roll and another house roll, both were excellent. Great quality food here also from sitting down to getting the food was olny about 10 minuets great for work lunch! Thank you!

In a non-descript plaza behind a gas station resides a hidden gem. Thousands of cars speed by daily but most are unfamiliar with Jose and his Thai/Sushi restaurant, "Sushi Rock". "Sushi Rock" has changed hands a couple of times over the years and it finally feels great, delicious and warm. I took my folks and typically my pop will grunt, "Ok" , in his semi sarcastic tone which means good. "Sushi Rock" was a whole different ballgame for dad and he gave it an "Excellent". If I wasn't sitting in a booth I could have easily fallen off my chair because my pop just gave "Sushi Rock" an Oscar nomination.. My Mom also loved it and could not stop complimenting the food. Service was excellent and they were very accommodating. Shrimp Tempura appetizer was great, and the sushi appetizer which I think was called a "Salmon Blossom" was super tender and had a delicious light sauce. I consume raw Salmon 3 times a week from different restaurants like "The Sea" so I consider myself a self professed Salmon expert. I also ordered a Seafood dish which was in a tamed down red Curry. I love spice but my parents cannot handle it. Lets just say that my dad was ready to lick the plate clean and my mom repeated no less than 8 times how great the Seafood with curry sauce was and, it was! Finally, I had a soup with thin Buckwheat noodles and Shrimp Tempura for the second time in a couple of weeks which in my opinion is almost as good as "Masa" and better than "Ramen Lab Eatery". The broth and noodles were light and delicious and the "Shrimp Tempura" delightful. I would highly recommend you try, "Sushi Rock" because fabulous owner operated restaurants need our support.

Sorry for the picture with a bite out but as soon as I tasted it, I knew I needed to tell others. This is/was the Hamachi Kama. It was absolutely delicious. Crunchy, yet light as air. I also had the beauty and the beast roll and some unagi. The chef/owner is a one man show. I splurged on a fried cheesecake too 🫣

Excellent food, very clean, and so friendly! We went today for lunch and had such a great experience. My 4 year old kept saying how nice the waitress was. My daughter loved the salmon and miso soup, as did the rest of us! My daughter choked and it was a bit of a scene. They were so accommodating and made me feel very comfortable during a scary/embarrassing time. We will keep it on our list for the next time were in town!

Ate with a party of 6, very accommodating. I ordered the garlic seafood dinner and it was okay, but the California rolls and salmon lovers that my friends ordered were DELICIOUS. Will definitely come back for the sushi.😁

I’ve been going to sushi rock for a long time. During that time they switched owners but never skipped a beat. Sushi Rock. Ever disappoints. I have a few levels to personally rate sushi and this place tops the charts

Ordered online. Paid. Waited an hour until ready. No one was there. Left without any of our order.

I've been going to them since 1996. The owner retired and sold it to a new proprietor 3 years ago. And they are just as friendly as the original staff.
And most importantly the food is just as good. So glad to see them still around. Definitely check them out if you can.

Quality Sushi, and unmatched service!!! Tried this place during covid for the first time. It made me sad to see them so empty (#supportlocal). We ordered the rainbow roll, the salmon crunch and the spider role, all were fantastic (salmon crunch highly recommend) we were in and out in an hour. Last but not least... My car's battery died, and the staff was nice enough to come out and help us jump it! Thank you so much! will definitely be back!

This is favorite go to place in East Boca for good sushi and Thai food. The service is fantastic! It is simply decorated. Not fancy but the food is always fresh and delicious. I tried the Panang Curry a bit spicy and it was fabulous. Don't forget to order Thai Donuts for desert!

Absolutely delicious. Our party of 3 got a steak bento, a shrimp and avocado roll, and a thai noodle dish.
Everyone loved everything and the waitress was amazing. She got the cooks to prepare a dish that my wife requested but that was not on the menu (kani salad). I highly recommended this restaurant.

I’ve been coming to this place for several years and have ALWAYS had the freshest fish and best service. Oftentimes when you go in there, there are very few people inside- that’s not because they’re not busy, but rather bc there are a million to-go orders. And that’s why it’s always super fresh.

I can’t rave enough about it, and have gotten friends and family hooked on them too. Friends that come over from out of town constantly ask if “we’ll be having Sushi Rock tonight”. I consider myself lucky to live close by to them.

first time come, the front desk lady sick loosing her voice ,maybe have a flu, or cold , she couldnt talk , place slow ,and seem not clean , i ask to order the roll from the pics of their google , she she simply said she dont know how to make it, its from the previous owner , i didnt know they was sold and the old owner was gone, this place went down the hill and oviously look bad coz they have no customer, and employee seem upset coz they have to be there! if u come here to eat just be careful the quality of the fish if this slow .

I eat here at least once a week. Ann and Jose are the warm and friendly owners. I especially like the avocado salad with the housemade ginger dressing, the vegetable tempura, gyoza, the salmon sashimi melts in your mouth.

The food here is great! Hands down the best panang curry I’ve ever had! If you love spicy food, get it! You will never be disappointed. I also recommend the volcano roll and cashew chicken. It’s a small place, never too busy, and the staff is so friendly.

Good quiet lunch spot. The sushi has always been good. They have revamped the menu to streamline it. The Shoya Ramen was pretty good. Cost is a little pricey but in line with Boca Raton.

We were there this evening and even though we arrived 30 mins before they close they served us well.
They have a long menu of Japanese and Thai food.

Lunch time extremely busy for only one server. Poor girl was running like crazy. Food was good but I've had better pad thai. I would've given 4 stars except they need more servers on floor. Not good when sushi chef is picking up plates..yuck!

I ordered the sushi and tempura lunch. The tempura was good but unfortunately the sushi was spoiled and tasted/smelled bad. I told the waitress. She came back after talking to someone and said the sushi is fresh every day. They still charged me the full price. Didn't bother having the chef check on it. So disappointed. It's a hot day. Fresh sushi doesn't stay fresh if it's not stored at the proper temperature.

The salmon and tuna nigiri was super-fresh and went down like butter. The volcano roll was insane. The other roll (I forgot what it was) was also very, very good. I eat a lot of sushi, and this little place is a gem. My only complaint is that I'm only here on business and can't make this place a regular date night with my wife.

We (wife andI I) go once a month. We order the Sashimi boat for one plus the "Rainbow Roll" and settle in to feast. The chef is the owner and the wife runs the floor. A very pleasant 2 hours we always enjoy.

sushi maker wore no gloves when mending the rice, made the food, went on his cell phone pressing buttons, then back to prepping sushi for people. i wanted to squirm and run but already ordered. if you don't look or care about hygiene, then it's good i guess.
