Asian Cuisine and Bar at Riverfront is a hidden food gem. The interior and decor seem like strange choices, but the food and service are excellent. The menu is extensive, but food is served promptly. Their curry and pad Thai are delicious, but personally, their best meal was the pork belly. The restaurant was empty during our visit, but it did not disappoint. Check the place out for great authentic food at great prices.
This place need to be raised!!! The food was delicious, love this place😍😍
- Curry 8/10 the spices are so strong and thick, its good if you like it that way.
- sushi 8/10 the sushi was good especially the volcano roll (the only deep fried) but unfortunately it takes too long to wait, and please improve on this.
- appetizer 8/10 plenty of choices good for starters.
- thai food 9/10 this one of my favourite dishes in this place, the one with pork skins i forgot what its name.
- noodles 9/10 the duck dried noodle is a must, i assume the use sweet soy sauce to make the taste rich.
Visiting from New York on valentine day Found this river front thai restaurant on the web with low expectations since NY has all the best restaurants. I was very impressed with the ambiance. Our test for good thai restaurant is the thai red curry. The thai red curry was excellent. It tasted just like the once we had in Thailand 🇹🇭. The owner Jet was very welcoming.
JCO was nothing but patient, efficient, funny, engaging and accommodating.
He was single handedly taking care of the bar, 7 tables at the same time, billing and receiving people who were coming in that too on a Friday night.
He doesn’t miss orders, remembers to check in and always manages to crack a joke no matter how busy it gets.
I am in awe of the food.
I had a red curry and my Wife had pad Thai with chicken. Sizable portion and generously priced. We loved our dishes.
Bang for the buck. Thank You JCO for taking care of Us. You the best!

A Hidden Gem with Amazing Flavor!
Riverfront Asian Cuisine and Bar is a true hidden gem! Our group decided to order a variety of menu items and share them family style so we could try as much as possible—and we were blown away. Every single dish was packed with incredible flavor and prepared to perfection. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, helping us navigate the menu with great recommendations.
If you’re looking for a place that combines outstanding food with a great atmosphere, look no further. We will absolutely be back to enjoy more of their amazing offerings! Highly recommend!
Update: sad to say that JCO left, but this place is still decent. However, last time we went the noodles were not as flavorful (Khao Soi and pad thai). Hoping it was a fluke for next time we go.
I've been apprehensive about this place since the Ubon rebrand, but after having tried it today, it is actually really really good. Menu may seem long and intimidating, but this crew knows what they're doing serving up various types of Asian food.
I ordered the tom kha soup, chicken pad thai, and dry noodles with duck, all requested spicy. If you are looking for Asian spicy, all you need to say is spicy (so be careful). Tom kha was extremely flavorful, hot and sour. Pad thai noodles had an awesome texture, like Korean chewy but not undercooked. The pad thai sauce 100% beats out the other well known Wilmington pad thai kitchen--it is so tamarindy and tasty. Those two dishes convinced me to stop playing it safe and try out something more exotic (I never order exotic dishes at poor quality places): queue the duck noodles.
When I say the duck noodles were the best duck and noodles I've ever had, I mean it. I was having a pretty bad week but this dish knocked it out of the park and my enthusiasm and mood instantly lifted. The duck was a crispy, meaty portion (you could honestly have a whole side dish of just the duck, that's how much there was) and it tasted something more like Filipino lechon, but duck. The egg noodles were bouncy and generous, well sauced and sautéed. It was less spicy than the soup and pad thai, but spicy nonetheless.
Service was fast, though the night was slow and we were the only table there. The man serving us initially seemed wry, but opened up to provide tongue-in-cheek humor and was glad to serve us. He thanked us warmly for our patronage as we left.
At this point, I'm glad Riverfront Asian replaced Ubon. This is a fresh take, with high quality ingredients and flavors. I was foolish for not giving them a chance earlier, and I will be back.
Walked over from a hotel nearby and I'm so glad we did. The food was excellent, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked. The Duck Rolls are excellent, the favorite of everyone at! he table. Friendly service, great music and atmosphere. A gem on the river front.
The wait was extremely long. They are extremely understaffed and need major help. Will not go back.

This is my new favorite restaurant. The owner is so kind and welcoming! The place is GORGEOUS!!! I’m obsessed!! I can’t wait to come back. Thank you jet . See you soon
Food is so good, really nice atmosphere and people. Highly recommend. There's so many delicious options on the menu I will be coming back to try more.
We were so sad when Buriram closed but we’re so happy that we can get all our favorites again here! Delicious food, lots of vegetarian and vegan options and fun atmosphere.
Our food was authentic and delicious
Warm Welcome into a beautiful atmosphere. An inviting diverse menu enjoyed the most delicious food and dining experience. Come! You will not be disappointed!
Beautiful new place, gorgeous ambience and really delicious and flavorful food! So glad we found this gem in midst of a commercial area for some authentic taste with great downhome hospitality! Keep it up! We will be back!!

This was an amazing dining experience. The food was outstanding (the chicken cashew and chicken terriyaki dishes were particularly tasty) and the atmosphere was beautiful and comfortable. The highlight of our visit was the cuisine and the server, JCO, who was very friendly, informative, and humorous, and made us feel at home. We'll definitely be back when we return to Wilmington. It shouldn't be too difficult since we live about 45 minutes away. Thanks JCO!! Thanks Riverfront Asian Cuisine and Bar!!!
Very friendly service from Jco. He was very informative about the area. Food was fantastic and served promptly. Will likely return in the future.

Had a very good time food and vibe was amazing. The bartender Jco was awesome and made us feel very comfortable
Edamame and teriyaki chicken entree were good. Service was quick. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food you got.
The food was very good… spicy level medium and all the vegetables were freshly made. Lunch menu is a great value. The service could not have been better.
The food was delicious, and the service was great. Will go back.
Great dinner! Very underpriced! Looking for a great spot for dinner - look no further! We had amazing food including: Thai basil fried rice, Pla Laf Prik, and Pad See Ew. Loved the food! Had a great Lemon Drop Martini!
Great to find a good place for Thai next to the Shipyard Westin.
Best place in Wilmington, Jakub is awesome I highly recommend this restaurant
Excellent time here.. great food ..great.people ..
We always enjoy this place..
Great for date night!
My daughter and I went for lunch. The food is delicious! Service was great. This is a hidden gem. I highly recommend.
Wonderful food that felt like I was at home, and a peaceful outside dining experience. Would definitely recommend!
We had our Rehearsal dinner here and loved the service we received. Very accommodating and very communicative. We will be going back. The food was delicious 😋
I lived in Thailand for a year and this is the most authentic restaurant I've probably ever eaten at. The owner, Bow, is incredible and so kind. She came over and talked to me in thai. The food is simply incredible. My daughter had spring rolls, my husband got the pineapple curry and I got the soy kao. This is a true gem! Can't wait to come back!
I find the food to be superior. The staff is very nice and there are plenty of options.
Wonderful gem of a restaurant. Great service, delicious food and quick excellent service.
Parking: Free parking lot. Can also parallel park nearby.
Service: We visited Sunday around opening (11:30 AM - 12:00 PM). We were greeted and seated immediately. Waitress was really nice and warned/explained to us the difference between the Lao and Thai papaya salad as most people are only aware of the Thai papaya salad.
Best authentic Laotian cuisine I have had in all of PA/DE! I love spicy food and their spice level 5 was perfect for me. I ordered the Lao Papaya Salad (spice level 5) and Larb Gai (spice level 5). Both were very flavorful. I highly recommend both if you're looking to taste what authentic Laotian cuisine is like.
Atmosphere: I really liked the "chill" vibes I got dining indoors. I also like how it is facing the river. There is a bar inside as well.
My only issue with this place is that they do not have a non-alcoholic drink menu (at least none that I saw/was given).
Overall I will definitely be coming back here whenever I crave Laotian food.
Dined with a party of 7. Staff was attentive when taking orders about the amount of heat of our orders as well as having gluten-free options on the menu. Everyone enjoyed our meal especially the seafood salad, pad Thai and rolls. We will definitely return.
U must check your order before leaving because I paid for extra shrimp and did not receive what I paid for I call them and left a message hopefully they will call me back
I was disappointed with the experience of dining at this place.
Food was average and was bland and it wasn’t cooked right.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The vegan menu was abundant and delicious.
I am utterly surprised that this restaurant has alot of 5 stars then expected. This comment would probably be the most accurate one here. Let’s start from the top.
It was our first time visiting here after the other restaurant closing down (UDON) in quite a long time. Me and my mom wanted to try to food and try something new. As we walked in it was very cold in there, the fans weren’t moving but we felt air everywhere. It was freezing actually and wanted to go outside but it was deadly hot.
It took the waitress a while to ask us what we would want to order actually.
So I’m not really a fan of spicy food and I wanted the Panag Curry and asked if I could get a 0. She said sure but then said the spice is made with it and I would barely taste the spice. I said ok and hoped for the curry to not be very spicy.
We had gotten the first plate (Chips and sauce) then our appetizer (Shrimp rolls).
I kid you not the shrimp rolls were so tiny like the size of your finger and thin we were baffled! And when we took a bite out of the shrimp roll all you could eat was the crust! It would have tooken an estimate of 4 bites just to get to the shrimp and once you do you can’t even taste it! It didn’t look cooked and looked plain raw.
Not even 2 minutes of getting the shrimp rolls our main courses came out. My mom had gotten the pineapple curry and I’ve gotten the panag. I did do a test of the curry sauce and it didn’t really taste right. (And it was REALLY spicy on top of that). The worst part is I tasted peanut sauce (I do not do good with peanut butter it makes me nauseous and I throw up)
I could’ve sworn I didn’t see the menu mention peanut sauce and just tasting it made me sick to my stomach. (My mom was complaining on how chewy her chicken was and both of our drinks were watered down). I couldn’t eat anymore of my food since it was very spicy and too much peanut sauce as well, and my mom was over it. (It also tasted nasty, wasn’t cooked that well) We did not take the food home and just left.
The food was just so discusting and horrible I ended up getting a sick stomach and throwing up continuously in the toilet.
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE DESIGNS, IT MIGHT LOOK BEAUTIFUL BUT THE FOOD AINT! 2/10 NOT COMING BACK, SAVE YOUR MONEY!
So, we heard that Udon was gone and were planning our visit with trepidation. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised.
This was the second visit. Our server was the owner herself. She made us feel right at home! We had the Tom Yum Soup and the chicken satay for appetizer with a bottle of white wine. They were delicious! We followed this up with the main course of Pad Kaprow. Again, we were not disappointed.
Throughout the meal, the owner was very attentive. Matter of fact, we wanted to try the Korean drink Soju and she kindly gave us a taste. We took 2 bottles home.
All in all, a great addition to the Wilmington Riverfront and we'll be coming here again and again.
Food was very good. The servers were very friendly. Unfortunately there were not enough workers so the service was extremely slow!!! I was here last year when it was a different Asian restaurant and it was the same thing. Great food but not enough workers. If they solved their service problems then I have no doubt it will be an amazing place to eat.
The Tom yum soup with shrimp was perfect spicy and delicious!
Isabella is the best bartender not on skill but on enthusiasm and conversation skills. The food is excellent. Only Asian restaurant I know I WONT get food poisoning. Such a comfortable place to hangout with friends and grab a drink
Great and friendly atmosphere. Amazing food and the drinks were divine.
I ordered fried rice and spicy California rolls at 7:00 pm. I went back to pick up my food at 7:20 pm, then 7:30 pm and was told to give them 20 minutes. They said they would call me when the food was ready. After waiting an hour for the call, I returned at 8:30pm and they said they were working on my food. I cancelled the order and got a refund. This never happened when UBON was at this location. All they said was “so sorry.” That’s unacceptable and poor service overall.
WOW!!! I’m so excited that we have another place to get sushi in wilmington de!!! I just had sushi at The Riverfront Asian cuisine & Bar and it was phenomenal! The Crispy Fantasy roll and Spicy girl roll are great! If i wasn’t so full i’d eat MORE!!! They are located at 936 justison st Wilmington, DE 19801.
Had dinner on April 4th 2024. Very pleasant experience and great food.
I enjoyed a new vegan delicacy with the tofu and cashew nuts covered in a rather unique broth. Plus, after I complete the meal, I can enjoy a walk along the scenic riverfront.
Lovely place for ideas of meal, hanging out with friends, enjoying time with family or even dating with a special one. I love their food and services. Will come back again
The new place is AMAZING!
The service is great, friendly and attentive, the decoration inside looks much better and as a Vegetarian I’m especially happy about the fact that there’s a whole page filled with vegan items on the menu now.
After all these good changes we’ll definitely be back more regularly now.
They handled our birthday sixteen top with aplomb. Everyone was so nice and friendly and helpful. The menu was great! I loved my pad Thai and tofu tamarind dishes. The Tom Kha soup was soo good too! Highly recommend.
Amazing! Delicious! Very Friendly! Nice Atmosphere!
During my stay at the Riverfront for one month of flight training, I got the chance to meet the lovely people at the Asian Cuisine & Bar.
The food is amazing and the kitchen is very clean!
The service is so heartwarming and very kind!
The ambient allows to meet new people from all around the world and share experiences in a peaceful atmosphere.
Definitely a must try! Not only for deliver but to come and enjoy a lunch or dinner with great hosts!
I want to personally thank Bo, Keti and Boi for the great time and the always welcoming moments I got to spend.
See you guys next year! 👏 ❤️
Delicious food! The best place to order from. So excited for this new location
The atmosphere and the ambiance are great here. I had the Crispy Pork with Basil Sauce, and it was delicious and good portions. Below is a picture of the Chicken Stay as an appetizer, which was great. The servers, Bo and Min, are friendly and attentive to what you need. I highly recommend adding this place to your restaurant rotation.
The new place is a 10/10! Great service, ambiance, and food. Everyone was so nice and they have some unique dishes. Welcome addition to the neighborhood and I cant wait to come back for the pad Thai and kapow!
Great place for excellent food and atmosphere, not to mention the service is awesome.
Wonderful place to eat. Service and food are excellent. The Tom Yum soup and Curry's are my go-to. Don't forget the Thai tea. Stop by and say hello to Min and Bo. Tell them Shawn recommended the place.
Best authentic Thai food in the town with cozy place!
