For such a small town, this is one of the best authentic Asian restaurants I've been to. They have a great selection of sushi, that tastes fresh and it's good quality. I love all of their food. I've been here before (it was just as good then) and I will definitely come back!

I was the only customer there but the quiet was very nice. Two sushi rolls took a bit to come out but I was able to appreciate the amazing Shirley temple they made me and as it was done the food got there. If I had been starving, I'd have been a little frustrated, but all in all, it was a nice quiet lunch. I'd go again. The eel and cucumber roll was very good. The eel was not too fishy or rubbery. It was a very clean tasting eel, which is harder to find at a lot of sushi places it's very fishy and tastes like a pond. This is somewhere I'd go if I was really in the mood for a good eel roll.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant and there were some very apparent food quality issues. I’ve eaten here before in person several years ago and had no issues then, but when I was eating the fried rice that I ordered a little over an hour ago, I noticed that there was a dead bug in my food. I was kind of turned off from eating any more at that point, but I poked around the rest of the rice and there was a large green spot on one of the fried egg bits. I have never left a negative review for a restaurant before, but I figure that this is valid because my stomach isn’t feeling so great at the moment and I don’t want anyone else to go through that!

You'll find it all here. Thai, Japanese, Asian, and More. Freshly made, good service. The soups and curries have excellent flavor. The special rolls are a site to behold, just gorgeous. I had the Wet Kiss, Roasted duck noodle soup, Grand Mariner shrimp, Japanese spring rolls, and a Thai curry that was to die for. Yummo!

Food was good, they just opened up and we were the 1st table to arrive. Lunch was good, fairly readonable in price and large portions. I had Beef Teriyski and my girl Carlene had vegetables tempura which were cooked perfectly.

Wanton Soup: Love the ginger in the dumplings. Soup base light and delicious.
Sweet & Sour Soup: Absolutely amazing. Tofu so tasty!

Prices do not match the menu, at least for take out and not including tax. Otherwise this place is great.

Taste of Thai curry was not great. The tofu was oily. Vegan sushi and rolls were great. Given that this is in willimantic ambiance was bit dull. But overall good.

Staff were too busy having a huge fight to take our order. Weird smell too.

So extremely hit or miss - sometimes good but often bad. Both the yaki udon and low mein were extremely oily and flavorless. It did not taste like there was any soy sauce, oyster or hoisin or any kind of asian flavor whatsoever.

The yaki udon had random giant peppers that looked like someone cut them with scissors and the overall flavor was oily, more like greasy americann mexican food than any kind of asian cuisine.

The pad thai was good only once, the other time it came dry without sauce and scarcely proportioned vegetables, again almost no flavor

The wonton soup is usually good, but will occasionally be bright yellow and too acidic to eat. Overall disappointing

All recipes taste different depending on what day you order

Sushi is passable and pretty tasty

Fried food (rangoons and spring rolls) taste microwaved and lack savory or umami flavor

Only buy if they have discounts, its way too expensive for the portions/taste

It's safe to say that this is our favorite place.

I have only been a few times for take out so far. Every time the food was excellent. Service was great , although they were a bit busy so short wait,,however IT was New Years Eve so I had kinda expected that.

Very cost-effective and delicious food. The boss is very nice. I have recommended this restaurant to my customers many times.

My new favorite restaurant since moving to Connecticut. Delicious Tom Yum soup, great spicy mango thai dish. It was so delicious we ordered extra to go. The chicken was PERFECT.

For the amount you pay, you don’t get really anything. They also messed up our order and gave us just sashimi when we ordered rolls, but charged us for rolls. The soup was ice cold as well. Will not be ordering from them again.

The managment and staff put customer service first. I love the delicious sushi and half priced specials. This is my favorite spot to go. I had been sick awhile and unable to come to Friday night sushi... so they sent my husband home with a pair of saki cups to help us feel like we were here.

Not your typical Chinese food...so much better! And the curry is amazing! If you're a dad, go, order, sit at the bar and have drink, then take your dinner to go to the family...

Love Oriental Café! The atmosphere is calming and comfortable. Great Sushi & Sashimi choices.. Every meal is fresh and made to order. Try the Chicken Soup w/ Coconut (Tom Kha Gai). Also try the Chicken Yaki Udon.

The bar is also a nice place to sit and enjoy a cocktail! My experience has been that take out on average is 15 minutes to pick up!

Just a few suggestions, it appears your business has grown an become more popular. Please add more waite staff for quicker service. Also- The sign outside is not lit and therefore not visible to current patrons or potential new ones! If we can't see your business.. you don't exist!

The server was amazingly helpful for helping my party get some vegan options when they were not listed by default.

We went for lunch on Saturday, 9 of us(family bday lunch)! They had the one sushi chef and one chef in the back, but everything came out on time and was excellent! Great service as well. The gyoza appetizer was perfect too.

It was busy for a Tuesday which is a great sign. Food was delicious and the wait staff were great. Highly recommend

The food was delicious! We stopped on our way back from a hard visit with a relative in the hospital, and just needed some good food and a little rest. When we pulled up, there was only one car in the parking lot, and we were hoping that wasn’t an indication of a not-so-great place to eat. But the staff was so kind, and the food we ordered REALLY hit the spot. It totally exceeded our expectations. My mom and I gobbled it up and made sure to take our leftovers for a later snack. 10/10 would recommend!!

we love getting takeout from Oriental Cafe!my favorites are the salmon sushi, uptown roll, garden salad with ginger dressing, chicken soup with coconut, and beef sticks. my husband + I are currently sick with covid the contactless pickup tonight for soup went seamlessly. currently enjoying my soup, packed with chicken, veggies + flavor as we heal 🤞❤🥘🍣

The food was good. The service was lousy. No toilet paper or paper towels in the ladies room. No outside lights so it didn't even look like it was open never mind a scary walk for two old ladies. If it wasn't for the Grand Marnier chicken I would have turned around and headed out.

If you want high quality delicious food, this is your place. Bring someone special to enjoy your meal together. The owner is working as hard as he can to keep the restaurant open with out any wait staff. So be patient, and you will have an enjoyable experience, Jeff is a great host, with a giant heart.

placed a small and simple order here today, got charged for the wrong meal, missing items from my meal, received OLD and MUSHY, brown almost BLACK avocado so I called to get my missing side of white rice and fix the old avocado issue but was faced attitude and blatant disrespect about how I never ordered my side of white rice and was told the old avocado wasn't their problem that's just how they come................ wow. I will NEVER go back here again.

Zero stars. This place has gone downhill fast. Extremely slow service. Blah food. And now they decided to use the dining room for storage, so they say you need to sit at the bar. Well I have a 14 year old, so sitting at the bar is not an option for him. Guess they don't know it's illegal 🧐. I would rather go to Asian Bistro in the mall, or better yet drive to Norwich and eat at Mahzu. So much better. I give oriental cafe 2 months before they put themselves out of business. Zero stars all day

Sushi is always fresh. We love to eat here. Great place for a quick bite.

I ordered $50 dollars worth of food. and waited more than an hour for it. When i got home, the sushi(which was only $6 worth of the order) was warm. I did not realize you had to pay per minute for the amount of food you order. The general Tsao taste like they put ketchup in the sauce.

This restaurant is outstanding. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The bar is a great place to sit and enjoy your meal. Sushi is excellent and there is a wide variety of other cuisines that are all prepared wonderfully.

The sushi is consistently okay-not great. The other menu items are better. Great atmosphere and service. If there was a better sushi place around I'd go there for sushi instead but I would still go here for their other menu items.

Not very good ☹️. It was the first time I actually spit sushi out. Also ordered the tempura, which was good until I got to the shrimp, which weren't freshly tempura-battered fried like the vegetables were, but rather frozen breaded shrimp that was the equivalent to a frozen fish stick. Lastly, I ordered the seafood yakitori. The shrimp were overcooked, the scallops were tiny, and the fish was waterlogged, possibly frozen for too long. I stopped in here on New Year's Eve to grab a quick lunch before finishing my shopping, but this wasn't a good choice.

This is a small tucked away place you wouldn't think that the food is as good as it is they have a young sushi sushi chef who is amazing one-of-a-kind creations
