Taste of Thailand has excellent food. I've had delivery and dine in. The food quality is on point. This is my favorite place for Thai food. The Pad Thai is my favorite. The soups are good too. I love the Curry Puffs and the Mango Sticky Rice dessert. The service can be a little slow but the food more than makes up for it. The boba teas are also excellent.

This review is LONG over due. I absolutely love this establishment. I have been coming here since they opened & the food is great. I am from Thailand...so I can tell good Thai food when I see it...or taste it in this case. The owner gave such a generous donation for my son's project graduation, it was such a pleasant surprise. Wife and I went here on an impromptu lunch date and let me tell YOU, ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! I had their Chicken Pad Tai lunch special that comes with (2) vegetable spring rolls. I also wanted to try their Tom Yum soup with Shrimp. Soup was Packed with that authentic lime sweet and sour flavor. Their Chicken Pad Thai was authentic and had the unique fish sauce I've grown to love. The Mrs had grilled Salmon with Vegetables. Such an amazing dish and we left with SMILES on our faces. I will be back SOON! Great job! 10 Stars for me.

This is my go to eatery in Torrington the Tom Yum soup, the chicken satay and the hot basil pad Thai are wonderful and there are many other good options on the menu. I like spicy food, and if I order level 3, that is spicy enough. The decor is nice so that you could come here on a date but not that you feel you would have to get dressed up. Good traditional music is a big plus for me because it adds nice atmosphere. They also do a lively take out business; many people’s favorite place and for good reason.

Excellent place to eat with quick and friendly service. Wonton soup was very flavorful with lots of fresh veggies in it. The Pad Thai came with a variety of options for meat or seafood. I went with chicken and it was some of the best I've had. The sauce was light but full of flavor, chicken was tender and moist. Peanuts were on the side so they stayed crunchy when you added them. I also tried a bite of the sweet and sour chicken my wife had. Very good as well. Be ready for leftovers because the portions are large and prices are very reasonable. Definitely a place worth going out of the way for.

I wish I could give 100 stars instead of just 5! In my opinion, Taste of Thailand serves the best Thai food in CT. Even after moving to another town, we gladly drive an hour back to Torrington just for this amazing food—it’s always worth it!

Absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavorful and even with a little bit of heat. I can’t wait to try their spiciest option next time around. Papaya salad, chicken dumplings, noodles, summer rolls, wok fried dish- all were really good. Best I’ve had in Litchfield county.

My favorite thai in the area. Dining room is the common for thai interiors. Food is consistently good. Drunken noidle is my favorite and spice level is perfect. We do take out or dine in or take out its always good.

Best in town!

We needed dinner before a show at the Warner theater and a Google search brought us here. I was pleasantly surprised. The main courses were great and the decor is quite nice. It was quite busy, but we got table without any trouble. The parking lot is crazy, but we parked across the street.

The food was outstanding. The colors were so vivid. A snap to the green beans in a delicious sauce . Scallion pancakes and Tom Yum Soup. I barely had room for my Drunken Noodles. I had a great lunch the next day.

Excellent choice! Food is very good, but I only give 5 stars to the extremely exceptional. I've eaten here several times. Our family has multiple allergies to food products, and they have easily accommodated without any issues. (Gluten, dairy, peppers). Staff is very friendly, though it is quite confusing when 4 different people are servicing your table. Most food is very good, however I ordered something new the other night a and the dish was saturated in a sauce that was very one dimensional. I couldn't even finish it, not did I bring it home. But really, that was one out of several meals.

While the restaurant offered a variety of vegetarian options, the vegetarian pho with vegetable broth lacked depth of flavor. It may benefit from a more robust broth to elevate the overall taste profile. While the food was good, it fell short of being exceptional.

I ordered takeout and WOW! Definitely recommend the Massaman Curry with chicken. SUPER flavorful with tender chicken. Looking forward to trying more from this restaurant.

Easily the best Thai I ever had, even their pho and chicken wings are amazing all the way to their bubble teas, the Thai rice meals they have are amazing! I recommend the mango/pineapple or the sweet sausage! Great prices, great staff and everything’s clean, go here! I don’t usually give 5 stars, def a banger for my gf and I!

I used to live in New Haven county where ethnic food is even more common than up here, but Taste of Thailand is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant in all of CT. The food tastes so fresh, flavorful, and delicious-- everything is always correctly cooked and has an appropriate amount of sauce so nothing is dry or soggy. Sometimes the service is a tiny bit slow when they are very busy, but all of the wait staff are very friendly and polite while also being very apologetic if the service is slow or they made a small mistake. Every single beverage, appetizer, entree, or dessert I have tried here has been amazing, and the decor of the restaurant is very pretty and welcoming. I highly recommend Taste of Thailand! :)

Hands down the best Thai food I ever had. I usually order take out, but have been in the resturant a handful of times. Always a freindly smiling face amongst the phenomenal food. My go to's are: The Pineapple or Mango fried rice with crispy chicken, and the massively large summer rolls with shrimp. I've also had the wings and Pho and those are wonderful as well!!! Just learning about Thai food and what and how to eat it. I've had drunken noodles, fried rice, fried spring rolls fried rice all were delicious. Ive been there twice this month and definitely plan on going again. The staff was friendly and was helpful with the menu. I recommend stopping in for what I think is great food.

This was an extraordinarily high-quality restaurant in a wonderful surprise.. Everything was delicious, and the service was wonderful. The vegetables were extremely fresh and served al dante. We live in Hartford, but we travel back to Torrington in a second for this really, really good restaurant.

Wowowowow this place was AMAZINGGGG honestly some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! I came here with a group of twelve people and the service was truly wonderful. The staff was SOOO kind, quick and accommodating for our large group. Every dish was DELICIOUS! We will be back without a doubt.

Got introduced to the establishment when I worked in Torrington. I was hooked instantly, I will still drive an hour from my house to eat here. I have tried to find a Thai restaurant that matches the amazing quality and spot on flavors but I can't do it. Stop in and give this place a try you really can't go wrong. I thought I had already reviewed Taste of Thailand but I guess I didn't ! I have to say I highly recommend Taste of Thailand. My husband and I love to come here once in a while and we have the Chicken Pad Thai, curry puffs, crab rolls, and Bubble tea. Their bubble tea is the best Bubble tea that I can remember having. The coffee bubble tea is amazing. The honeydew taste like a fresh fruit!! The atmosphere is sweet and it is just a pleasant place to eat. 10 out of 10!!!

I give 3 stars to the service, only because when I order ahead they often forget my sauces. Food is great and I love their Mango bubble tea

This was one of my top ten restaurant experiences ever. The food is absolutely delicious. Perfect flavors!! The staff is friendly and the environment is excellent. I will definitely be coming back here in the future and bringing lots of friends!

My partner and I had the chicken dumplings as an appetizer, bubble tea to drink, and the sticky rice with mango for dessert. I got the drunken noodles with chicken for an entree and he got the coconut pad Thai. Everything was incredible and perfect.

Good food @ a good price. We got Drunken Noodles (w/veg) & Spicy Green Basil Stir fry (w/pork). Service was a bit lacking, but not horrible by any means.

We aren't in Torrington too often, but would go there again if in the neighborhood. It didn't knock our socks off enough to travel 35 minutes just to eat there again.

I visited this place for the first time today after hearing about it from a coworker. I’m glad I tried it everything was wonderful from the service and especially the food. I tried a fried salmon dish over a bed of vegetables, shrimp in a blanket and fried bananas with coconut ice cream every was delicious and I had enough leftover for dinner tomorrow I will definitely be coming back thanks for the great experience 😋😋😋‼️

Good selection of main dishes and apps. Everytime I've been there I have tried something new either from the appetizers/soups or the main course. I've never been dissatisfied with anything I have chosen. Service is always quick and with a smile. They obviously have a following as the parking lot is always full when I am there.

I love Thai food and have become rather picky about where I get it from. I have eaten at so many different Thai restaurants all throughout CT, and Taste of Thailand is definitely in my top 5 favorites!

First time I had the opportunity to stop by and sample a dish as I've driven by many times before.. I ordered the vegetable Pad Thai off of the lunch menu which also came with two veggie spring rolls.
Not only was it a generous portion filled with a large selection of vegetables but some of the most delicious Pad Thai that I've had.
The sauce that came with the spring rolls was slightly sweet and I believe House made.
I'm looking forward to trying other dishes soon!

I have dined in twice and gotten take out many times. I’m gluten free but my friends aren’t. So we have tried many things. They are always accommodating, kind and friendly! Food is always consistent and delicious! We highly recommend!
Side note to customers: be kind to restaurants. They are all short staffed. And when there is a sign that says so, respect that. Go somewhere else if you can’t wait longer than usual. I witnessed comped meals and no tips. This is someone’s livelihood and you ate for free. Don’t go out to eat if you can’t respect the circumstances.

I don't have a lot of Thai food experience, but I've eaten enough to know that this restaurant is excellent. The staff was friendly and explained menu items to me. They seated us quickly and from ordering to plates landing was less than twenty minutes. The pho was absolutely delicious, as was the coconut fried rice. I have leftovers but I'll be back as soon as possible. I also loved the decor and all the beautiful plants. A really lovely restaurant.

If I’m not dining-in or doing take-out, I’m ordering their bubble tea. I’m from the southeast (Georgia) and I get my bubble tea from a well-known tea restaurant chain. The fact the this restaurant’s bubble tea is near indistinguishable to the one at home is why I order it all the time.

Give it a try, it’s a nice break from coffee shops. My only grip is the lack of hot bubble tea options.

The pad see ew was excellent, as was the stir fry, right mix of veggies and meat (chicken). Only complaint was the noodles were a bit soggy in texture, but then that's probably preferred by many to chewier cooked noodles or tofu. Quality for the price, only $12.50 for a huge portion that easily feeds 2 people.

Ordered lunch here on a Wed. From the moment I opened up the lid of my togo I knew this place was going to be good. It had the right smoky odor. Ordered my usual chicken drunkin noodles no veggies, dinner portion. Came to 12.50 plus taxes. Portion was good. They filled the container as muc as possible. Taste was on point. Not too light or heavy on the sauce. I would say the spice rating was mild. My head was not sweating. Food completed within 15 minutes as promised. Staff friendly. Plenty of parking in the lot. The dining area seemed nice and well decorated.

I’ve tried a good 60% of the menu and I can confidently say I have never ordered something that I didn’t love. The atmosphere and staff are welcoming and the food is delicious.
