Thai restaurant serving curries, noodles & classic entrees in a relaxed storefront setting.
Nice atmosphere. Food came out fast. The crab Rangoon appetizer was delicious and a large portion that could be served for four! I had the lemon chicken, which tasted great and was also a large portion. My husband had the Spicy Ocean. This was a curry dish that also was yummy, with lots of seafood.. The prices were spot on. We will definitely return.
This used to be my favorite place to come to for at least 5 years. In the last year I’ve seen a significant decline of their food, service and cleanliness here. I kept telling myself maybe it was just one bad meal because I really love this place. They’ve cut back on portions, I’ve found hair in my food and water dishes, their fresh rolls are half the size they used to be and aren’t served with peanut sauce anymore. Their golden cups quality has gone downhill and size of the Pad See Ew is so much smaller. Service is rough, they barely come back to your table and check in or rarely are greeted with a hello. I spilled some water on myself and the seat and nobody came around to ask if we needed anything until the server came over and put the check on our table was I able to ask for napkins.
More recently I came in to eat and there was so much food under the table I had to ask the waitress if I could get a broom because there was quite a bit of food underneath our table.
I don’t think that I will be coming back anytime soon which is sad because of how much I love this place but every time I come in something has lost its quality.
This place is great. My wife and I been to some Thai restaurants. The beef satay, golden fried chicken wings, home fried rice are the best so far. We always prefer this place when it comes to those items. Pad Thai and Spicy Noodles are awesome (not in Pic) as well. Beef Pho- good. But not so good. Service is great. Been eating here for some time. Though we're far from Putnam now. Will always come back to Thai place when we can. Check this place out!
I have been coming here for over two years, and in the past few months the food has become bland and the dishes are made differently than they were. They use less seasoning and cheaper veggies. My girlfriend orders the same drunken noodles every Thursday, and the past two weeks we have gone it’s either has been bland, or they use cubbed cabbage and canned green beans (which she is allergic to). After being told this is how it’s always made, they would only replace my meal if I drove back to Woodstock, which I let them know it’s a half hour drive and I couldn’t do that, to which they offered a 15% off for their mistake. We are now on the search for a new Thai place in the mass and CT area. I would recommend trying the new thi place down the street, they do not do take out at the moment, BUT the food is consistent and delicious, I will miss the spring rolls though.
I was really craving fresh spring rolls after having them from Thai Chili so my mom called in an order not knowing this place has an up charge to add shrimp or chicken so they only come with noodles and lettuce. Sauce was good but spring rolls without a protein a lame and don’t taste that good. Had the person taking the order on the phone told her that she had to add the protein (which is very uncommon in my experience) she would have.
The service is exceptional, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The good here is amazing, I eat here at least once a week. The buffet chicken is my favorite dish, lots of fresh veggies!!! Tom Kha soup is the best here, no one else comes close. Sammy is usually our waitress and she is the best. She knows what we like and always has a smile for us.

Great dinner spot!

The spicy noodles menu is very good and a good portion!
The Chicken Pho and Drunken Noodles 👌🏼
Great food and service!

Sami and Nang were fantastic.
It was our first time to Thai Place and totally worth the 1.5hrs drive for DELICIOUS authentic Thai cuisine.
Definitely going back in the near future. The flavors and spiciness were perfect. THANK YOUUUUUU!
The atmosphere and decor gets better with every visit under new ownership.Food is excellent of course!
The food was great, and the service was exceptional. I got the veggie rool and veggie Pati and a house salad. The salad was so good it came with a warm peanut dressing. I've never had warm dressing on a salad, it was great. For dessert, we got fried bananas with ginger ice cream, wiped cream, and chocolate sauce. Fantastic. t
Then I had some green tea to finish. Adriana was attentive classy and very charming. I look forward to returning and bringing friends to enjoy .my new favorite place. Play some music light some candles. That's the only thing I would add.
Consistently great food and service.
Best fresh rolls
Great food. Nice people.
For years, I really used to love this place. It had some of the best tasting Thai food in the Quiet Corner. Since it changed hands recently, however, the food has become much blander and the staff much less welcoming. I will try it again, but may consider taking my business elsewhere if things don't improve.
Excellent food and excellent staff. Been eating from this restaurant for many years. I recommend the spicy noodles.
Food was excellent! We were there for lunch. All foods came out hot. and the tea was fresh- brewed & hot.
Definitely will return@
Excellent food, and the wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable, spot on, and helpful. Will definitely return and recommend!
10 years at least of best Pho ever. Really good
Cashew chicken was terrible; the meat smelled so awful as soon as I opened the container and the veggies were bland and soggy - the only edible parts were the cashews and pineapple. Crab rangoons were 95% fried dough with a teeny bit of (mostly not) crab filling. Wicked expensive when its all getting thrown away.
Sad that restaurants in this day and age cannot listen when you tell them that you have special diet and leave certain ingredients out. We will never go here again.
I wish I was kidding but I can honestly say that I stop here to get food before I visit my own family! I lived in Putnam for a few formative years of my life and a good majority of my family still live in the surrounding area, but when I come to visit, I finish my Pad Thai before I even let family members know that I’ve made it to Putnam safely.
Without being hyperbolic, I can say that I’ve tried at least 40 different Thai restaurants across the East and West Coast and nobody has even come close to matching the perfect zip of sweet and sour that their Pad Thai provides. And do not be afraid to mix any peanut sauce you may have left over from your chicken satay, I promise you will not be disappointed!
If I ever win the lottery, I’m opening a Thai Place franchise in North Carolina before I’m buying my mother a house!
This place is SO good! Everything we had was so delicious! We ordered crab rangoons (best we've ever had) a sampler platter, chicken fingers, spicy noodles (not very spicy, hut still amazing flavor) pork fried rice.
Everything was hot, fresh, crispy, crunchy, just so so good!
The was ok but we had to wait for our entree an extra 15 minutes. Nice staff but overall It was disappointing.
Ordered to go. Crab Rangoon’s very oily bled through the paper bag they were put in. Cracked them open and see just cream cheese. Pad Thai noodles were ok but no flavor profile. Golden bags were good but not great. Food with no love never reaches great heights!
Gave it a try,had the pad Thai noodle dish, not what I was hoping for,and way over priced for a container of sweetened rice noodle with 2 pieces of shrimp, not for me.
Got sick after eating here...no good.
Awesome as usual
Good food and prices must try the fried icecream.
Our absolute favorite place for Thai and we love the staff
I've never been here but the food is great.
Great food always consistent and fast service. I really enjoy the chicken satay. My wife loves the basil noodles and Siam fried rice.
I’ll be honest I’m not much of a Thai eater so I don’t have a lot of experience with this type of food. I can say my wife and I get take out here occasionally over the past 6 years or so. I usually stick with the same thing (Basil Chicken) but my wife has tried different things and we’ve always enjoyed our meals. The ingredients always seem fresh, the order is always correct and on time, and they are friendly. You can’t ask for much more!
I'm not very big on Thai food but what I ordered was delicious BKK steak with vegetables and beef fried rice spring rolls and crab Rangoon Rangoon could have been stuffed more though
I have been coming here for over two years, and in the past few months the food has become bland and the dishes are made differently than they were. They use less seasoning and cheaper veggies. Ordered mild spice - all too hot to eat…no rice with meal- have to order separately- was not told this but if we wanted to order 3 orders of white rice, after getting home, then go pick up we could get for $10… ridiculous- was being generous with one star…
Got take out hit the spot. Just not the quality I had hoped for or been used to.
My #1 go to place for Thai foods, super friendly staff.
Authentic & delicious. Would recommend!
Delicious food with great service!
Enjoyable experience
Okay so you charge $14 for a veggie curry, fine… but you don’t include any white rice?! Seriously?! That’s an extra $3.50?! So you are really charging $17.50 for a veggie curry, because literally every single other Thai place includes white rice with a curry, it’s absolutely the norm. Hope you enjoy that extra few bucks, because it’s the last you’ll be getting from me for this mediocre food!
Unexpectedly and disappointingly, we got charged for an extra cup of peanut salad dressing. The soup was a bit more salty than we expected.
Decent food. Caters more to take out than dine in.
The Pho is good and the veggie spring rolls are the best I've had in years
Absolute best food ever ! I drive 25 minutes every month just to sit and eat, the owner is so nice and all the workers are extremely nice ! I’m due for another visit so I’ll be in tomorrow !
Outstanding Thai cuisine. My wife and I love Thai food and try out restaurants whenever we go. Thai Place revivals restaurants we've been to in Thailand. Leave a big tip!
Good curries, Pad Thai, rice dishes and soups. Can be crowded on Tuesdays (15% off), and Friday and Saturday evenings.
Great authentic thai food. Little bit of a wait but maybe thats just because I visted on sunday. Ask for your food spicy, highly recommended.
Amazing food, and an equally great military discount
Overall the food itself was really good. Flavorful curry and yummy spring rolls. However, I knocked two stars off because when we got home with my husband’s veggie curry— we quickly realized he was given veggie massaman curry which has peanuts in it. Fortunately he doesn’t have a peanut allergy, but that’s a really bad mistake to be made. And IF the veggie curry always comes massaman style then Thai Place must put in the description that it has peanuts!! I mean really.
Also, the curries don’t come with rice, you have to order it as a side, which I’m fine with, but given that we’re from out of town, we didn’t know that. So we got back to our Airbnb and realized we had no rice. It would have been helpful if the person taking our order asked if we wanted any. They missed out on additional sales because of that.
Our orders are always done quickly, the food is great. Drunken noodles are my go-to.
Excellent
It closes at 9 I called at 8:38pm to place an order and they told me there kitchen closed. Then your hours online should specify that very upset. We eat here all the time but disapointed.
My wife and I decided to try the Thai place and wow !! Glad we did. Food and service was absolutely amazing. Thanks to the waitress Sunny for making us feel right at home. Too bad we live two hours away if not we’d be dining there regularly.
Highly recommended without a doubt.
Nikki/Will
The food is very good! Just be careful. A few of the items listed as vegetarian definitely contain fish sauce. Servers are always friendly!
I give Thai Place a PHO out of 5 stars. Good food, quiet place.
Hands down our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. We drive 40 minutes to get our favorites. I just wish you could order online
Nice little place, nice Thai food. Will return again as there are many items to choose from that sound good. If you like coconut soup try their's, it was great.
Great service, really good food. Always my go-to place.
Great food
I have never been disappointed with food or service. Definitely one of my favorites.
Worst customer service and good luck if you call to place an order!!
unprofessional
Pineapple fried rice ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Comforting and delicious. Can't wait until my daughter learns to like Thai food so we can order it more often. Yum.
I have been a customer of theirs for almost 10 years now. I have never had a single dish that has not been spot on. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! What a gem.
Great tasting food, small portions however. The owner and family are very nice.
Food was great can’t wait to go back, glad we found this little spot while traveling. We ate inside and it was super clean and service was prompt, food was served hot and fresh.
Food was yummy and the employees were polite and friendly.
Food cake out fast and was delicious service was great I would go back
I can't stress how surprisingly delicious this food was. The Sriracha fried rice was incredible and the main dish I ordered was "pork & pepper". The food was full of flavor and everything was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Bangkok ravioli as an appetizer which was also very good. Highly recommended and I'll be coming back here to try as much of the menu as i can
Great food
Good food got takeout!
Ordered all vegan take out Got egg and dead chicken in our food. Never again.
Pad thai is the best we've ever had
Good food
Got really bad food poisoning. Ate here on 2/4.
Fried rice was good
Yummy!!!
Service was good. My meal was yummy. Got the spicy veggies rice noodles tofu dish. My boyfriend ordered the streak fish and it looked nothing like the picture in the menu. It was thin and over cooked. But he still ate the whole thing and said it was still ok. The crab rangoon we're great!
Always friendly, food is delicious, and the prices are great.
They will make Pad Thai just exactly as I prefer it . . . with extra peanut sauce and extra ground peanuts.
Got a little less than expected. Food was marginal....
Good food. Quick service.
Good food would recommend trying it
The absolute best place for Thai food in town
My boss and I stopped in for lunch and I had the best wonton soup ever
Food is always delicious, and the fact that they honor veterans with a great discount is outstanding.
Great selection of beer, wine and whiskey. They had everything I was looking for.
Very Good Menu, Pricing & Quality. Nice Facilities.
Needs Noise Dampening on Wall/s and Ceiling/s
Food great service not to much
Excellent service and delicious food. The best Thai food around!
The food sucks. Over cooked dry rice chicken and pork. Yeck. 🐽🐖🐷
Good service, nice clean place, and the food was delicious. Will definitely recommend and return. Reasonably priced.
Another one of my favorite places to eat. Healthy eating at its best. Service staff a great young adults, respectful and pleasant. Thank you Thai Place for great food and great service.😃😃😃
Love the pho here
First time I've been here. I tried the Thai place platter and a side of sticky rice. It was awesome. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and staff is friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend
Best Thai food I've had, and it could be said that I eat Thai food for a living.
Awesome service and food fun place to eat.
