We had a long layover at Orlando, so we stopped by this place for dinner; it took us less than 10 minutes to reach here. It's a cozy place , smelled good. We took 3 flavors curry and fried rice. That curry was delicious and tasted unique. The fried rice was good too. They served quickly, and we took a to-go item for our next flight.

It took a long time to prepare our order. We place the order online and it says it will be ready in 20 minutes. When we got there 25 minutes later they hadn't even started to cook the food yet. They had a couple of tables come in, I think they were working on those dishes first.

That said, the boss lady was nice and apologetic. We ordered five different dishes . Penang curry, pad Thai, garlic fried rice , drunken noodles and special noodles. Tom yum soup was good too. The food over all was very good. I still give them five stars.

The restaurant is small but comfortable and informal. It’s really very clean, the bathrooms impeccable. Sometimes my final judgement of a restaurant is by the cleanliness of the baseboards and bathrooms.

The food, now for the food! It was so yummy. The shrimp panang curry was amazing, and so was the pad Thai! Spring rolls were crispy and perfect!
The table next to us had about five different dishes and they all looked amazing.

They also serve wine and beer which wasn’t clear on the website, so good to know in case you’d like a glass of wine or beer.

The food came out quickly and all the dishes came with fresh orchid garnishes and nice fresh greens.

Speaking of flowers, no fake plants here, they take good care of their plants and they are thriving beautifully! So many pretty plants!

If I lived here I’d be back once a week, but I don’t so the next time I travel to the Orlando airport I’ll be making a stop to Koon Thai for some yummy dishes.

I recently stumbled upon a quaint restaurant that turned out to be a delightful surprise. The food was nothing short of awesome,with portions that were both generous and satisfying, all at a reasonable price.The warm welcome I received, complete with smiling faces,made the experience even more pleasant. I'm definitely planning to return whenever I'm in the area. The overall experience was so positive that I strongly recommend this restaurant to others. It's a must-try spot that's sure to impress!

Wonderful experience, the restaurant is clean, cozy and welcoming. I had the Crispy Crab Rolls and 3 flavor Curry, absolutely delicious. Portions were generous and I even have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I will definitely be back!

If you enjoy authentic Thai food then you have to pay a visit to Koon Thai. Food was excellent and the decor is very pleasing. I ordered Thai pepper garlic w/shrimp and hubby had the spicy basil Thai fried rice. Also enjoyed the crispy spring rolls, karb rangoons and Thai iced tea. I will say all the flavors were fresh and hit all the right notes. We will definitely be back soon.

Oh and I Jane to mention I love the menu boards the display all the menu items. Genius!

Not a lot of complaints.
Ordered yellow curry, it was pretty good. Good spice for a medium.
Taste was good at first... but then when I went back to it about 20 minutes later there was an odd taste to it. Maybe something to do with the bell peppers? Or maybe the fish sauce.
I plan to go back later and see how their other dishes stand out.

The soup was amazing! We’ve tried so many other places, this by far was a 10/10z We ordered 3 different soups at Koon and all were delicious.
The decor is very stylish and fresh, not a thing extra- so very pleasant to dine here. The bathroom was very clean. And the menu was organized in a way to easily understand.

Great service and food! The owner is very nice and definitely knows how to cook Thai! Will definitely recommend and return.

Me and my mum went to this restaurant not expecting much, but our minds were blown. Seriously. So much that we had to return during our trip to Orlando. The food was fantastic - we both had stir fry. Generous portions and great flavor. All tasted incredibly fresh and home cooked. Atmosphere was great! Very cozy and clean with simple yet effective decoration. Service was friendly and quick. If you are thinking of giving this restaurant a miss - please don’t!

Very good Thai food! We came here before leaving Orlando and it was a great surprise! Really good taste and the restaurant is very close to the airport, very convenient! Boba tea is great as well! Really recommend to try it.

Outstanding !!! The curry puff appetizer was so amazing, and the Tom Kha soup was delicious.
The pineapple fried rice and pad see ew were some of the best we’ve had.
Service was so friendly and excellent.

Came into Orlando on a layover and found this cute place. Authentic flavors, cute decor, yummy drinks. There were 4 of us so we tried a bit of everything but the pad thai and Thai noodle soup stood out the most!

My goodness!! This is TRULY the best Thai food I’ve had in a very long time. So fresh and so well seasoned. I usually go to Mee Thai way in the Winter Park area, but they were closed for the holiday. I was Googling around trying to find the “Best chicken pad thai near me” and this place came up. Had never heard of it before but it was such a pleasant surprise. I ordered the chicken pad thai and tom kha soup and they were both fantastic! I’m hesitant to post a review for fear that too many people will find out about my new hidden secret 😉 But they’re definitely worth trying if you’re looking for great Thai food!

If i could leave no stars i would. I walked in with my child and girlfriend from the airport . We have luggage we’re hungry and tired . We walk in and instead of being greeted politely we were asked nasty if we’re gonna order . When people walk in you welcome them and ask if they need to be seated . He was DISGUSTING the guy working and he was the only Caucasian male working . Then we proceed to sit down and he YELLS across the floor that we couldn’t sit there . DISGUSTING AGAIN ! We immediately left . I have never been to a restaurant and treated like that EVER ! This place needs to work on their customer service because IT SUCKS!

We stopped here by chance and it is hands down the best Thai food we have ever had. You won’t regret eating at this family ran restaurant.

Coming from Seattle, where we have lotsThai restaurants, we were surprised to find this little Thai restaurant with such tasty Thai food. The presentation was very nice, and the price was very good. We had the pangnang curry, pineapple fried rice, and crab Rangoon. All were excellent.

Nothing fancy, a strip mall location, but the food was outstanding. We made it a point to eat there again after our cruise. They have a video menu board which helped in choosing items to try. Portions are generous and easily shared. Very gracious service even when we showed up just prior to closing. Give it a try, you'll be back too.

Hidden gem! Food was very good. Cucumber Salad was spot on. Portion size was not reduced like commonly seen lately. Prices were standard for these days. Mango sticky rice was full size serving. Ask for spices if you want a spicier dish. Will visit again.

Don't let the website fool you. It's good food! Tom Yum, Chicken Satay, and chicken dumplings were so yummy! The chicken dumplings were fried but so lightly that you couldn't taste the oil. Crispy and perfect, pleasantly surprised.

Was pleasantly surprised to find such a gem near the airport hotel area along other franchise restaurants that can't hold a candle to this place. The fried rice had fried garlic on top that gave it a nice little crunch. The pad thai was so good and such a great portion size. Koon Thai will for sure be our new go to Thai restaurant in orlando!

So I had a fave place in Kentucky (Thai smile) that had pad ke mow. Never was able to find anything like it until now!!! And holy cow: amazing! This place is AmaZing!!!!!!!!!! The drunken noodles (pad ke mow) wow!! Even my salad was so great! The crab Rangoon’s and pot stickers are fresh and you can tell homemade. Absolutely amazing! I will be back tomorrow.. and the day after.. and the day after!!!!

Ps their sign isn’t up yet so it has a previous restaurant name on the outside still!

Listen. You can get food from a chain restaurant any time any place. After being on the road for a month, I was thrilled to find this sweet Thai restaurant tucked in among the chains. I had the green curry with chicken and the mango with sticky rice for dessert. It was excellent! The vibe is clean and pleasing, and chef/owner is lovely, too. I wish I took the photo before digging into the rice - it came out in a heart shape with an orchid flower. Skip the chains and go here instead!

I think this is probably the only 1 star rating I’ve ever given out.
I’ve dined a few times here and the food is good. The first time we came it was just us and the service was great. The chef also came from the back and asked us how everything was. It seems like it is a husband and wife duo where she cooks and he’s the service person. That’s great.

Second time I went, the husband was a little rude, apps were a little overdone but we went with it.

Then today. Today lol…..
we went in there and it was packed, every table was full which is wonderful to see. And once again it’s the husband running the orders and being customer service. So we walk in and he’s like are you guys dine in we said no we want boba. He’s like okay I’ll get you later then seats the people going back and forth from the register to serving ppl. And so me and my husband wait and he comes back to the register and my husband (my bubbly social butterfly) was like hey there how are you, good to see you guys busy. He literally put his hand up to my husband and responds hold on I have to get this order in. So he typed away at the screen and we just standing there and he goes back to serve ppl food that came out. He’s obviously very flustered/overwhelmed/overstimulated. So he comes back to us and just stares at me I’m like oh are you ready?

They need to hire someone else who has more experience in the service industry. The downfall of this restaurant will come from the gentleman at the front. He doesn’t really smile or go the extra mile for customers. He’s just a body that does bare minimum to get by.

Food was so mid and overpriced..

We were craving Thai food and Koon did not disappoint! There is a good variety of dishes, for all preferences and spice tolerance. Portions are really well served and delicious.
We had some veggie dumplings, the pad cashew nut and the drunken noodles, all three were amazing! Next time we're in Orlando, we'll for sure stop by!

This place was awesome. Small. Looks like a Boba shop but offers a full menu. Delicious food! Amazing Thai tea with coconut milk. It's a big deal for me because my allergies kept me from having one for years.

Koon Thai is an absolute hidden gem! Nestled between a few major chain restaurants, it stands out in all the right ways. The food is simply perfect. I had the Pad Thai, and the flavors were spot on—generous portions and beautifully balanced. But the real star for me was the wings—hands down some of the best in Orlando. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is friendly. I’m so glad we found this place, and we’ll definitely be back!

I picked this place bc I was craving spice. I will admit it was the best Thai red curry I had. Combined with such friendly service I felt like I was dining at my sis in law place. If in Orlando do visit if you are in mood for a good spice taste. You should not be disappointed. For me this a a definite go to place for lunch or dinner.

I came from DC and looking for Thai restaurant. This restaurant have a good review and we went there. There not too much table and no waitress. The owner told us they just open 3 months ago and they are family business. About the food, I love it!! Im real Thai who love eating real Thai test!! This restaurant give me feel like im eating in Thailand street food! The food very very good. However because they no waiter, there take a bit time to taking care us. They forgot too bring us water. They no time to take us to table.

However I recommend!! If you want a good test of real Thai!! But please be patient to the worker. They do the best as they can!!

I’ve eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in the United States. This was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The curry sauces were spot on and super flavorful! If I lived in Florida I would be eating here often. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

After a long day of traveling from the West Coast, we stumbled upon a charming restaurant while craving some Thai food. We ordered a Thai Green Iced Tea, crispy spring rolls, and Pad Thai, which turned out to be some of the best we've ever had—especially since we're quite picky about Thai cuisine. The presentation of the food was excellent as well. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean, and we really enjoyed the overall vibe. The chef even stopped by our table to make sure we were happy with our meals.

I highly recommend the Tom Kha soup! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I encourage you to try this new locally-owned Thai restaurant! It sits amongst a bunch of chain restaurants and I assure the sweet family that runs it will appreciate your business much more.

We found this restaurant while searching for a Thai restaurant for date night. It had the highest rating by far of any other Thai restaurant within 20 miles from us.
We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and affordable. It was the best spicy Thai Basil Fried rice I had had in a long time, and my wife's garlic pepper stir fry was excellent as well.

The best Thai food I've ever eaten.

On Wednesday (09/11/24), I've made a call right after the restaurant open and there was a guy picking up and he was being extremely rude to me. However, I asked him nicely if there is a manager I could speak to but his response was worst!! He was yelling back "WHY??? FOR??" I was speechless for a sec and haven't get a chance to say anything yet because all in sudden this guy just hang up on me.

To whoever is in charge, this is the worst service i've ever experienced. You might wanna consider having this kind of person in your restaurant because to be honest, this is a very unacceptable behavior especially working in a service industry. Like who on earth yelling at customer when they ask to speak to a manager??

I hope somebody take serious action on this.

They ran out of Thai tea by the time I got there, so the server suggested the hibiscus tea - it was SO good. Highly recommend.

Best Thai Food in Orlando!! Had Thai fried rice, Masaman curry, Thai Ice tea and Thai Noodles in a span of a week. Great food, excellent service and amazing atmosphere!! Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a Thai restaurant in Orlando!!!

Nice portions and very authentic taste

1st time here. It's a small place but the dude taking orders was really chill and knowledgeable. The presentation was on point with appetizers and main dishes. The chef (maybe the owner?) came out and immediately ask how the food was. We were very impressed with the entire experience. Very clean restaurant to include the restrooms. Excellent food quality! I'd like to see a curry sampler. This place is totally recommended for dine-in or takeout.

First time coming here because they had one of my favorite Thai Dish (Kaw gra pow) with a fried egg and it was so worth it! I highly recommend this place as it is truly authentic. 🙌🏾 Aroi mak mak🔥

Loved this place! In Orlando for the day, and found this gem. Loved the decor, food presentation, service was good, and the food was amazing! Even as cold leftovers on the plane home later that night it was good.

This little cozy, modern, relaxing and clean gem is located next to some big chain restaurants. The service and kindness provided from the woman who handled my to go bag was unmatchable. The food was amazing. Super fresh taste and amazing flavors. I will certainly return. Prices are beyond reasonable.

I eat Thai food quite a bit and this is as good as I’ve had anywhere. Authentically decorated and very nice little inside area. Called in a take out order, was on time and the lady that checked me out was so friendly and wanted to know how I heard about them. There’s a reason their Google rating is so high…worth the hype.

Awesome authentic Thai very close to the airport. The service is fast and friendly and the food really excellent and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is modern with very comfortable, thoughtful touches that make it easy to relax and chat or eat and go. They are very accommodating to commuters. I'll certainly be making this place my go to lunch spot before the my brightline commute.

A friend of ours introduced us to Koon Thai and we had an amazing tasting dinner. We liked it so much we returned the next day. It is probably the best tasting Thai cuisine in South East Orlando. Give it a try, you will be hooked.

In town for a month for work and was looking for something non chain related to eat (hard to do in this area) and discovered this small family restaurant. They have great food and service. Red curry’s awesome! I’ve been back 4 times, tonight’s my last night in town and this had to be my last meal.
Give this place a try, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

I recently stumbled upon a quaint restaurant that turned out to be a delightful surprise. The food was nothing short of awesome,with portions that were both generous and satisfying, all at a reasonable price.The warm welcome I received, complete with smiling faces,made the experience even more pleasant. I'm definitely planning to return whenever I'm in the area. The overall experience was so positive that I strongly recommend this restaurant to others. It's a must-try spot that's sure to impress!

Unexpected tastes of Thai in Orlando. We really enjoyed the foods and services in our short stop around the Orlando airport.

I have eaten here twice and extremely happy both times. Foods are delicious with authentic flavor. Sizes are generous and quick turn around. I did not have to wait too long to eat. I will come back more often. Also, they do have large selections on the menu. Give it a try and I promise you won't be disappointed.

If you love Thai food this place is a must! The food was homemade, flavored to perfection! The next time I’m in Florida I will def be back! Do yourself a favor and don’t walk but run to try it!

Koon Thai is, in a single word: Exceptional.

Every dish we had was beautifully flavored, well portioned, neatly plated, and clearly freshly made.

Saw this restaurant on maps and wanted to give it a try. We were a little confused at first because the sign over the door were advertising the boba tea but the sign on the door was for the Thai restaurant. Once inside it was quaint and comfortable. The host greeted us warmly and we ordered 3 meals for the 4 of us to share. Three of us never at Thai food before so we were a little nervous but the hostess didn’t steer us wrong. Our food was cooked to order, came out hot and great and we ate everything. Generous portions and delicious. When we were leaving we talked to the cook and found out they have only been open for a month. What a shock. You would never know it. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out. No disappointments here.

We just had appetizers but man were they great! I can only imagine the entres. The curry puffs esperarte so soft warm and flavorful and the sauce it came with brought it all together. Definitely recommend

I went back there again for khao soy and Thai salad. Food was delicious like always. The drink was so refreshing. Service was excellent and friendly. Atmosphere nice and clean.

The dishes were delicious. We ordered 2 kinds of spicy salad (yums). One with seafood and Asian sausage. Another one with crispy catfish. We also order Khao Soy, which is egg noodle in curry. Another is Pad See Ew, stirred fried noodle with soy sauce. Not disappointed at all. Definitely will go back to try other dishes.

It's amazing real Thai Food !!

I have eaten here twice and got really sick. It’s not authentic Thai it’s more of them just using Thai seasoning and A LOT of oil so you can barely enjoy the individual ingredients that diversifies Thai food such as their vegetables and protein. Also the guy who’s usually the host and cashier is very unfriendly. Beautiful decor but I rather go to a mop and pop Thai shop then deal with fake or junk food Thai food and sub par service

I’m so lucky to found this place! I tried all Tom yam and Tom Kha! Papaya salad. OMG. That’s felt like my best times in Thailand 🇹🇭. I absolutely recommend this place. Prices quality and owners are amazing 😻

Came by for dinner today and I will say it is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but the positives end there. We had to wait over 30 minutes just to get our appetizers and most of them were overcooked and dark brown. We were given 2 extra that were cooked properly but that’s it… It took another almost 40 minutes to get our entrees and in the end there was no apology, no discount, nothing. And the server never mentioned his name or checked on our table even once after dropping the food and didn't give us more water. I could see other people frustrated by the long wait as well and felt bad and wanted to apologize myself. There was only one server and at the speed the food came out probably one chef. To all the restaurant owners out there stop cheaping out on labor.

Exceptional food! The lunch special was the perfect portion. My husband and I both ordered the pad see ew and it was incredible. The chef is so sweet and came to check on us while we ate. We are locals and will be sure to return!

Very lovely restaurant, it took us a bit of time to find it, but we loved the atmosphere, we could talk and it was well decorated. The food was great very tasty I would love to have options of egg noddles with more dishes as I don't like spicy but my husband enjoyed the currey noodles.

I found the place on Google maps and came here because of the 5 star reviews. They did not disappoint. I had chicken satay to start, then 3 flavor curry for dinner. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The spice level was just right and how I requested it. They've only been open a month. I will definitely be back when I'm in town. Come try them out!

So glad to find a new Thai restaurant just opened by the Orlando airport and about 15 mins from me . Nice ambience. I had the shrimp Pad Thai and it was delicious and authentic. Lady chef came out a couple of times to check on us . Ample parking space .

Food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the Panang Curry with chicken. Highly recommend and will be back when I am in the area again.

My visit Saturday, 8/17, was flawless, unexpected, and new. Me and my fiancée wanted to try a new place and stumbled upon this gem. We couldn’t even take a picture of our food because we had to try it first (it was delicious and look amazing). We were greeted by the chef and cared for by the host. The atmosphere was very chill and they have recently opened up this spot. Will come again. Please bring your friends!
