This place impressively lived up to its lofty Google ranking, an accomplishment that's notably challenging when expectations are so elevated. The bistro featured a warm, modern atmosphere complemented by friendly staff. The side wall is adorned with an array of creative specials that immediately captured our attention. The vegetarian Tofu steak emerged as a remarkable highlight. The tofu was cooked to perfection, but the real star was the ginger-pineapple sauce—a masterful blend of bright, tangy pineapple and the spicy warmth of ginger, creating a refreshing yet complex flavor profile that perfectly enhanced the dish. The accompanying vegetables were also cooked to provide a delightful crunch. The Beef Noodles delivered a satisfying richness, while the Sticky Rice Mango Dessert beautifully rounded out the meal, balancing sweet, sour, and rich coconut flavors with slightly al-dente black rice. Our experience at this bistro definitely deserves a five-star review, and we eagerly anticipate returning to explore more of their culinary delights.
If you’re craving a taste of Thailand, look no further than this hidden gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the enticing aroma of authentic Thai spices, transporting you to the bustling streets of Bangkok.
The menu boasts a tantalizing array of traditional dishes, each bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. Whether you’re a fan of fiery curries, fragrant stir-fries, or aromatic soups, there’s something to delight every palate.
I had the pleasure of trying several dishes during my visit, and each one was a culinary masterpiece. The Pad Thai was a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and savory, while the Green Curry had just the right amount of heat to leave a lingering warmth.
The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, with attentive staff who are eager to ensure a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail in both the presentation of the dishes and the decor truly sets this place apart.
Overall, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or simply looking to explore new flavors, this establishment is sure to impress. Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This restaurant was such a cozy little place. You could feel the time, love, and care they put into everything they do. The food was delicious. A cuisine that is so hard to come by. Our cocktails were on point. And the other amazing part was the service. These women were some of the nicest, most professional, and attentive individuals I have ever come across in the service industry by far. We will come back as much as we can. Loved every second of our experience.
Honestly, I’ve been to this restaurant several times and the food is always PHENOMENAL. The lemon grass dumplings are a MUST try. So so so so good! And their Thai Tea is perfect. Anything you order off of the menu will be tasty and I’m telling you, don’t walk, RUN to this place. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
While in New London, we stopped at Noodles and Rice Bistro, and I’m so glad that we did because it quickly entered the ranks of one of my favorite Thai restaurants I’ve visited in the state! It was clean and bright with friendly staff, and the food was phenomenal. I’m going to dream of their beef stew and shrimp in the pot dish!
Very welcoming, friendly, and efficient team. They took our reservation and had a table waiting for us since we had tickets to a show. We started with Chicken Curry Puffs, then Pineapple Fried Rice, Panang Curry with Chicken and Massaman Curry with Steak, as well as very nice Thai Iced Teas. My only criticism is that the Massaman Curry was very mild. I expected more kick ftom it. So specify your heat level, and you will love this gem.
Food was delicious and fresh! Service was quick and very attentive.
We eat here often. The food is always good and the staff are great. The Drunken Noodles are amazing!
I ordered the Braised Duck Soup and Wonton & Egg Noodle soup. The bill came to $47 and the portions were the same size as I would get at any fast food Chinese restaurant where it would be $9.85 for a better quality House Special Wonton soup. The duck soup had a boiled suck drumstick and thigh on the vine with the skin on it sticking out of the container. It was terrible to look at and the chef didn’t bother to remove the skin and meat from the bone. There was a bit of bok choy and rice noodles to mix into the broth but without the additional broccoli I added in; I would still have been hungry. The broth was also a strange taste with cinnamon or something odd in it.
The wonton soup was nothing than wontons and egg noodles with some bok choy. Not too bad but should have been $10 less. The restaurant seemed fine but the woman who checked me out was cold and awkward. I will not be going back to this restaurant again — and if you’re looking for better quality Asian food, for 1/2 the price, visit China Exoress.

Very cute restaurant. Good food and great service!
Not a good experience. Very small area without room between tables. Staff constantly interrupting. Did not return charge card after paying bill. Had to remind them to return card and they asked “You want it back” - what does that mean?! Did not feel safe in the environment.
Got the double braised duck with rice noodles, it was amazing! The customer service was incredible! It's a small shop, but so worth it!
Worst experience.
Shrimps were old and stinky..we told the waitress about them at the end of eating, she just said she will tell the cook.
Rolls were very good, crunchy and tasty.
Chicken was a little bit too dry but not that bad.
Salad was great. That sauce was so weird but tasted so good.
Id like to give 5 stars but having restaurant 50ft from ocean and have old shrimps...is a disgrace.
The food was Spicey but greasy.
I‘m never really moved enough by a restaurant to ever leave a review but good lord was the duck noodle soup amazing. Compliments to the chef because wow. I looked up to my friend with wide eyes and had her take a bite that’s how good it was. I’ll be coming back!

Food is fresh and so good! Best Tom Kha soup I have ever had! Staff is lovely and attentive.
Non avevo mai mangiato in un ristorante questo tipo di cibo. Ho preso i gamberi giganti ed erano squisiti come le verdure. Fatto tutto benissimo. Anche il riso
THIS IS THE BEST THAI FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I have lived in a variety of places and I always get a go-to thai spot. We drove 20 min to get dinner here. The quality of the food here is incredible and so fresh. We got the fresh spring rolls, shrimp pad thai, and chicken drunkin noodles - all were amazing. I also got the Figgy Pear Mule, which was also excellent. Let’s just say I wasn’t feeling any pain after that drink. This place is decorated very lovely. We will be coming back!
We stopped in for a late lunch once we arrived in town. They was very friends and the service was quick. The food was great. I highly recommend the fried rice and chicken pad thai. The salad was very fresh and larger than I expected.
As a seasoned food critic who has dined at Thai restaurants across many states in America, I can confidently say that this particular establishment serves the best Pad Thai I have ever tasted. The noodles are perfectly cooked, the balance of flavors is exquisite, and the portion size is generous. Beyond the Pad Thai, the menu offers a variety of other delicious dishes, each crafted with authentic Thai flavors and fresh ingredients. Every visit to this restaurant has been a delightful culinary experience, making it a standout among Thai dining options in the country.
Best pad thai I’ve ever had; great soup too!
Delicious food with the right amount of heat

We had a great meal in their lovely bistro decor with great service!
While vacationing in the area, we tried this place . Loved it so much we went back a second time!!
Great soup on a rainy day!

Great food and service. Duck pad Thai is amazing. Clean and fast too!
My go-to for asian cuisine.
Horrible service, I wish I could give them zero stars. I went there with my daughter, and nobody took our orders while we watched everyone that came after us get their orders taken. Keep in mind that we look different from the people that arrived after us. Discrimination? I’ll leave it to you to decide. We left without eating. This is so sad and disappointing. I don’t recommend this restaurant.
I’ve been going to this location since it opened. Overtime this location proves to be one of the best Thai restaurants based on its environment, and the staff itself. I now go to their sister location down the street for sushi and I am anything but disappointed. I love this restaurant and so does many of my friends
Oh Definitely go Freshest food best service
A gem. Places like this will bring people to New London. It’s unique from the others, and what stands out is the QUALITY of their food. The freshest vegetables, the best noodles, tender meat, it’s everything you want.
The best Thai food in NL. Very flavorful and absolutely delicious.
I just stopped in for a post workout meal and this hit the spot. Great tasting food and kitchen was smelling great. Small time noodle bar maybe seats about 20 max. But it’s perfect for what it is. Staff were very kind and helpful when ordering and throughout my meal. Small beer selection b it that’s fine because it’s a noodle bar
Great food and really nice service.
Excellent Thai food! Can't wait to come back.
Great place for kids. Brought my 2 year old and they had a kids cup for water and kids plate and fork. They also brought out an extra Lychee fruit to try and my son loved it!
Servers were very nice. We came back a second night while in town and service was just as good!
My favorite spot for Pad Thai. The curries are beautifully presented with very fresh ingredients.
What a gem. The location is convenient, the service is delightful and quick, and the food is consistently fantastic. Some of our favorites are the chicken thigh stew, the drunken noodle, and the mango sticky rice. Going to continue to return and make our way through the menu. Can't recommend this place enough!
We were a table of 9 and received our food hot. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was outstanding. Lots of choices on the menu! Highly recommend.
Delicious food and good service. If you like spicy do not trust the spicy images next to the dishes listed on the menu🌶️ Instead, specifically ask for the spice level you’d like. That was the advice of our server when I noted my red curry chicken dish was supposed to be spicy but had NONE at all. It was plated beautifully and had a bit of brussel sprout (1/2 of a brussel sprout, wish there was more of it!!!!!). There was one wedge of “pumpkin” which scared me- I thought it was octopus but it was not- thank goodness- I asked our server bc I’m not of fan of eating octopus. The spring rolls were full of lettuce mostly, super fresh, I’m used to them having more of a balance of ingredients. The potstickers were absolutely delicious. My friend loved her soup - it was sweet and sour and had lots of whole mushrooms.
So good!
Suki yaki soup came with nothing but two shrimps and two fish balls. Waitress was extremely rude when I asked for it spicy and messed up billing. When asking for corrected receipt, she said to ask for manager and seemed annoyed. Heavily overpriced, tastes horrible. They use a ton of MSG and fake flavoring as I felt unusually extremely drowsy after the meal and sick.
I used to always walk past this restaurant and it would be full inside and outside. One day I find them with many tables open so I sat down and ordered the Pad Thai and drunken noodle. I understood why they were always packed full with people. This was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Their cocktails were also so delicious and reasonably priced. The waitstaff was incredibly helpful and attentive.
Awesome food and excellent service. Make sure you check the specials on the wall when you walk in!!

Chicken Lemongrass Dumplings, thats all I have to say. The food is absolutely amazing, a little pricey for the amount you get but well worth it for the flavors. Small little, quaint spot on Bank St. Close to ferry, trains, and highway. We usually grab to go and head to the water but the interior is cute with room for maybe 30?
Très très bon je recommande sans hésitation !!!!
One if the best restaurants in the New London area.
Food is good but quantity is not enough.
DELICIOUS.
Very welcoming, friendly, and efficient team. They took our reservation and had a table waiting for us since we had tickets to a show. It turns out my favorite Thai restaurant is in New London. Tasty and clearly made with love.
Absolutely treat! Friendly, welcoming staff and phenomenal food. Duck Avacado Curry special was amazing. Chef's Noodles was delicious. Can't wait for another visit so we can try more dishes.
Drunken noodles with chicken had more carrots than chicken. Not even half a breast for the $17 dish that didn't even half fill the takeout box. Poor.
NEW FAVORITE.OMG this place was so good, it doesn't even make sense. It was jam packed when we went and if you have to wait, it is SO WORTH IT. The owner was peppy, energetic, and very attentive. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.
Everything was so incredibly tasty and well worth the price. Will definitely be back soon
Definitely check out the special board. Amazing food on the menu with great specials. Never had a bad dish here between rice, noodles, or apps.
This restaurant is fantastic. The food was very fresh tasting and great flavor. I had Buddha Delight and my husband had Pad See Ew w/duck. We both enjoyed every last bite! I am so happy to have found this restaurant.
I wish I could give this a 4.5 stars. Got the Thai tea and the pad see ew were really good. The portion was small but the waitress was very attentive.
Very good food and drinks well worth it for the quality and service we were visiting from New York me and my boyfriend and had the dumplings Tom kah pineapple fried rice with shrimp and steak salad really good flavor .The two women their were so nice and attentive even gave me chocolate at the end couldnt of asked for a better experience when stumbling across here tonight on accident :) will return again when we are visiting
The food absolutely delicious. Everything is a multi-layered combination of taste & texture. Service was attentive & personal. Very reasonably priced.
The food is great! I would recommend the braised duck in pineapple curry sauce
I can't begin to describe how wonderful this restaurant is.
The restaurant is clean, relaxing, and inviting. The owners and employees are so hospitable and friendly.
This is probably the sixth time I have dined here. Every time has been a 5 star experience. You can't beat consistency.
Every meal is fresh, seasoned perfectly, and beautifully presented.
Never going anywhere else for noodles and rice.
Super bad
What a great restaurant!! i recommend the chicken fried rice!!
We really like their drunken noodle and beef stew noodle soup! Recommend
Our favorite New London restaurant. Great staff.
Tasty. Good service.
Delicious! Curry puff appetizer is legit homemade and yummy. Well done!
Love this place! Not only is the service good, the food is amazing. Went for dinner and sat in their outdoor dining area. Great sangria. The fried edamame dumplings are different but so delicious! I forgot to take a photo of the main entree but we ordered the pad Thai with chicken, basil fried rice, and pineapple fried rice. The pineapple fried rice is amazing and definitely the favorite of the 3, though the other 2 were still great. Everything is flavorful and tastes fresh. A wonderful option for sure.
This was an amazing experience, food was as fresh as it come and the drinks were fantastic.
The best Thai restaurant I had in the past few years! The rice noodle soup and drunken noodles are excellent. The consistency is different from other restaurants. And the owner said the noodles are exactly what they use in Thailand. So glad I found this restaurant. Definitely will go back if around the town.
We had just drinks cause kitchen was closed, but I’d like to say that waitress was super nice and friendly
Clean friendly staff. Order was spring rolls for appetizers, fish bowl soup, duck soup and lemongrass chicken. Spring rolls were $ 6 for three miniature rolls that did not taste like it was made there. Fishbowl soup had two shrimps (not properly clean and dry), some unidentifiable fish chunks, shredded white fish of some sort that looked more like microplastic floating in a broth that tasted like it was made with powdered seasoning and very little noodles. Lemongrass chicken was very dry served on top of a spoon of white rice and a small salad. Salad was the only enjoyable part of this dish. Nephew liked the duck soup.
The fried rice was amazing, absolutely recommend
So good! Great specials on top of a stellar regular menu. Plus a tasty and fun drink menu.
Very good food, will be returning
Delicious dinner, incredibly quick and sweet service.
Amazing food with great service. Seating is available outside in the summer and takeout is excellent and reliable. My favorite dish is the Kra Prow Gai and a Lychee Martini.
The best fried rice I've ever had! Amazing food and customer service! Will be back here on my next visit to New London!
My train broke down at the pier down the street and i was stranded, so I decided to come to dinner here and the staff was so polite despite my coming less than an hour before closing. the food was amazing and the staff were so kind, if i ever find myself back in this area I will definitely come back.
Food was delicious and quick, and staff was very nice, on top of that things were very well priced. We will definitely be back!
We love this place! Prices & food are great!
I go here all the time because not only is it the best Thai food in CT, but the staff are super kind. 10/10 😊
Great food, nice setting, super front-of-house staff. Very helpful and accommodating.
A+
Bland flavoring and VERY small portions. Not worth the price.
Super nice people takeout was on point no doctoring or sauces needed delicious
The wonderful little quaint place to eat.I had the red snapper Very delicious.
Great food and super friendly staff!!
Decent little spot with tasty food and friendly service!
Excellent basil fried rice with duck
Delicious food on and off the menu. I had the wings then the kra prow beef while others had traditional Thai dishes. Even the Thai tea served in masonry jar was a nice surprise. Great service. Recommend highly.
What a great little place. Food was fantastic.
Fantastic food, cozy environment, as well as excellent service.
I completely underestimated this place first time out. Not my usual favorite. Let's just say I'm VERY HAPPY my wife forced me to go😁
One of the best Thai food in new London Town , 💯 recommend ! Try there TunaSalad amazing tasty, give try to Dock soup 🍲 and noddle ! One of the best stop by ! You would never live the place ! Stop by !
Excellent food and a very nice atmosphere
Just as good as the city and the kindest people around
Deeelish!!!! Outstanding and flavorful!! Small portions but tasty and fresh ingredients! Who wants a plateful of crappie ingredients!
Fresh food.
absolutely delicious. One of the best restaurants in New London
Their Tom Kha is my favourite 😍 delicious food and well priced, Try the drunken noodles!
Really tasty food- really small portions…
I'm not familiar with Thai food, but my party was interested and enjoyed our meals here. I enjoyed my beef soup and was more filling and larger portion than I expected.
Service was very good. Water glasses remained filled and staff checked on us. My party enjoyed their meals as well and enjoyed their boba drink.
Soooo good and the server was great I'll definitely be back again
Amazing food, quick service and would highly recommend. Food is relatively cheap but worth every dollar.
The food is so good 👍😋
The food here is fantastic in every way. The duck roti rolls were flavorful and perfectly prepared, and the chicken & lemongrass dumplings were delicious. Our entrees arrived quickly, tasted great (some of the best pad Thai we've ever had) and were perfectly portioned. The wait staff (and the owner) were all fun and attentive, and they (plus the warm, inviting decor) really made the atmosphere enjoyable. The lychee martinis were fruity and visually striking. Thanks to the perfect serving sizes, we managed to find room for a dessert that was better than I've had in a restaurant that didn't specialize in desserts - I feel like they could survive selling only dessert. We're going to make a point of visiting as often as possible.
Bank Streets popular Thai restaurant is a great place to dine if you're in the mood for Thai food. Indoors is cozy and nicely decorated; the outdoor dining area is safe and a bit noisier due to the train whistle, unmuffled motorcycle traffic and the general street thoroughfare atmosphere.
The Staff are exceedingly friendly and efficient. They seem genuinely interested in making their diner feel happy and at ease. And did I mention-
The food is great. Very much worth a visit if your in town!
the duck rolls ! exquisite !
Oh my word, this place is amazing.
My mom and I were looking for dinner to bring with us on the ferry. We had stopped at Muddy Waters (also delicious) the day before & the idea was to get it for the return trip but alas, they were closed. And I am so thankful they were!!
We happened upon Noodles and Rice, and decided immediately that it was the place for us. We ordered a salad, soup and spring rolls to go. Service was quick and so wonderfully pleasant. We didn’t eat our food until we were on the ferry, about 30/40 minutes after leaving the restaurant, and my goodness it was soooo delicious. Everything was fresh, tasted so bright, wonderful flavors. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I live on the south shore of Long Island and I am already planning a trip to New London JUST to come back to this place.
Food ok but service by manager/owner was horrific. She spent numerous trips to the elderly pair of couples seated next to my two grown children and I while completely ignoring us, even while my family had to wait especially long for our orders. A waitress tried to be helpful but manager/owner made it difficult by side tracking her. Other male waiter also seemed to be busy trying to help other customers, but had to try to keep up because of owner/manager single goal of showing this one table next to us such extra focused attention.
Let me tell you about this hidden gem. My family and I stopped quickly at this place and it was fantastic! Food was quick and the service was extremely accommodating. My mother in law was able to pick from some gluten free meals and I ordered ordered Suki Yaki Shrimp and Fish Noodle soup it was sooo good ! The soup was Moderately spicey, and completely delicious! I will be returning.
Authentic Thai drunken noodles, dumplings, curry puffs, pad thai and tofu steaks. So yummy! The staff makes you feel like family. You should not miss it.
Love this place and the food is excellent!!!!!
Delicious
The food is tasty and staff is very good. Will dine again.
Delicious food and great service! Our server was very helpful explaining the different curries and helped me pick the perfect one. Food was so good, came quickly and the restaurant was very clean.
You get fast service and they keep your drinks full and the best part the food was amazing! I recommend anything with duck it's juicy and tender. Dissert was also a super treat if you want to try something different this is the place for you!
Friendliest welcome and attentive service (especially for the toddler) would have alone earned them the 5 stars, but the food also lived up to its stellar reputation.
Amazing food and service!
Great portions, great service, and the food was delicious. Duck noodle soup was amazing!
I ordered our pad Thai. I ate way too fast, but I have 0 regrets. 10/10 would recommend.
