Cozy counter-serve operation preparing traditional Thai standards to eat in or take out.
Ordered 4 lunch specials.
All the rice dishes had clumpy lukewarm rice in them. The vegetables were soggy, limp, certainly not fresh. And all were devoid of flavor and very greasy.
Had a lomein dish, the noodles were hot. Again old soggy vegetables. Three dishes with chicken. Very dry, thus old..
One dish had shrimp which seemed to be hot and fresh.
Lastly, ordered crab ragoon appetizer, the outer layer was so chewy, it took awhile to chew to break it up to be able to swallow it.
Bottom line, after spending almost $50.00 for this food. NEVER AGAIN!!
Been eating Thai food for years. This experience was very disappointing.
Small restaurant with good food. Portions are good sized. The food is always delicious and fresh. Prices are reasonable. Been here many times for late night Thai and have never been disappointed. We usually get the pad Thai, drunken noodles, and pad see euh.
Stopped at tesla supercharger and had various lunch options. Thai Spice was great. I think they specialize in delivery since there are just a few tables but it was clean and the people were very friendly. I ordered a lunch special with green curry and side of dumplings. I also ordered a Tom Yum soup with shrimp. Everything was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place.
Very nice family restaurant! The food is so good! I love Shrimp Pad Thai and they make it perfectly! Staff is always very nice and respectful. I love it here!
They have good service. The food taste good. The downside is that I had food poisoning for two days straight. I started to feel sick shortly after eating the food.

The garlic salmon is good! They are friendly.

Never a disappointing meal from this spot, perfect Thai takeout in the area

Extremely dedicated father and son team (24 years of service!) prepare incredibly delicious dishes. Drunken noodles is my go- to. Appreciate their vegan options!
Ordered food 30 minutes before closing; they kept the kitchen open for us and still made freshly cooked food. NOT left overs. We were pleasantly surprised with drunken noodles and great taste. 5/5
110% go you will love it ! Take out only .
The most excellent lunch specials around, I cant get enough of the Hot Basil. I recommend this place if Thai is your thing. Dinner portions are also very good, Drunken Noodles is very good as well.
Small little place with delicious food. One of the best places to get Thai food in this area. Limited seating but food is great. Try the Basil Fried Rice.
2 Nights this week food is outstanding and fresh!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite to-go places in Connecticut. Authentic cuisine and delicious flavors.
Love it
Good food at a decent price, been going here last 20 years, very consistent quality.
I order vegetable Pad Thai and it was the best I had in a long time. Very tasty, plenty of vegetables. I will definitely order there again.
Loved food here
Food was great for lunch
Delicious! Super fast! Great service!
Very pleasant staff. Clean atmosphere. Yummy food.

Good from vietnam
Amazing flavored Thai food. Good size portions. Clean with friendly service. I will be back for sure. They even have a T.V. with sports on.
I've had takeout from Thai Spice twice. Both times, my meal was delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food that you get.
Great food. Amazing staff
CT food sucks
Average. The Drunken Noodles were tasty but it felt like everything was thrown together really quickly. The vegetables were fine but almost Raw and the appetizers were so so. I wanted to sit down to eat but you gave me take out right away and spoke very fast it seemed like he was in a hurry even though I was the only person there the entire time. If you need a quick bite to eat you could try here or try the Thai places a few blocks down the street
I was the only person in the building there was someone prepping and I could see him so I know he could see me so I sat and patiently waited for a good ten fifteen minutes and left to the other thai place up the street with a wait definitely 5 star.
First time to go there about 18 years ago, get food there from time to time. Great food! I'm glad they are still around.
Very friendly! Great food! I love this place and I will be back. However this is Not the destination for you if you’re looking for a nice sit down meal. Their dining area is small and not at all private.
Definitely a go to for Thai take out
Thai Spice has the best Drunken Noodles ever! I always get 2 orders 1 to eat in the parking lot & 1 for home😅
I've had other places & Thai Spice puts them to shame.
Good food and a clean restaurant.
Really good food and they are very friendly. Will definitely go there again.
Always tasty. We love the red and green curries (ordered hot), and our younger daughter (the less adventurous eater) likes the pad see ewe.
Consistently good.
Great flavors fast service nice people
Eat here all the time. Everthing is delicious
I love it here, great guys, very friendly and I love the drunken noodle and pineapple fried rice..
Always friendly and professional. Clean environment, pleasing atmosphere. Food is DELICIOUS!
Went to the bank
Great place for takeout! They are super friendly and always on time. Our go to place!
My absolute favorite is Five Kings. Always flavorful and cooked to perfection. Father and son owners always polite. Tried the crab ragoon for first time today and pleasantly surprised.
Love the drunken noodles give this place a try!
I reccomend Thai Smiles instead of this place the bag broke from the satay chicken that I ordered and fell all over the table cause I wasn't excepting the bag to be broken. This is basically just a piece of chicken on a stick with seasoning and is not authentic Thai food at all. Small portions and overpriced menu. I recommend Thai smiles in Hamden it is just a mile and a half away from this place.
Small space but food is authentic. For take out this would be best place. By look, it looks like small but food is amazing.
I reccomend the wild boar and yellow curry.
Had it once it was great
The father and son who own and operate this cozy establishment are so kind and work so hard. Our family usually orders the Tom Yum soup, Fresh Rolls, and several Drunken Noodles. The food is ready quickly and has never disappointed.
Quick service and clean kitchen. I loved the fried rice with chicken.
Quick service and nice test!
Sorry friendly service and excellent food at a reasonable price. I will definitely go there again!
I got the pineapple chicken rice. Literally, I kid you not, the best fried rice I have EVER had. Ever!!! Small shop, but they have outdone big Thai shops in my opinion.
Drunken noodles with chicken is my favorite. Staff is super hard working and friendly.
Love the people there, Father and Son
Great food.
ONE OF THE BEST THAI RESTURAUNTS I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!! DEFINETLY MY FAVORITE IN ALL OF THE GREATER NEW HAVEN AREA!!! DELICIOUS, FAIRLY PRICED, WITH QUALITY SERVICE AND KIND RESPECTFUL STAFF! Truly authentic original Thai recipes with some unique and creative twists! The Mango chicken fried rice is one of my many favourites here... (Ask for the extra hot homade spices and sauces on the side if your a heat and spice lover! He didn't even charge extra!)
Great food.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. They have great food, and they don't use MSG
Na
Great food!!!!
Good food, kinda pricey. Ok customer service.
Very good Thai food
Love this place. Always a go-to for Thai food. Favorite is the peanut curry chicken
Ok
Great food
Tried the “country style pad Thai”, fish sauce in the dish was overpowering to say the least, now making a grilled cheese for dinner. Was not spicy at all, just reminded me of a dirty fish tank, could not eat it.
Too small space, only for take out food. But clean and nice space. Too small space, guys!!
We ordered tom yum kung, chicken basil, pork salad, pad thai. Everything was perfect just like back in Thailand.
Soup was terrible. Food was good.
Food was great and just enough hot spice that I asked for
Pad Thai is excellent. However, Noodle Street Boston has a better menu.
They literally only half fill their to-go containers. When i went back to see if tgey accidentally gave me the lunch portion in the dinner box, I was told that is what one gets for the dinner price. So, in essence, you're paying double the price of anywhere else (many of whom are better, minutes away in New Haven, such as The Thai in Amity on Whalley Ave.).
Great Thai food, amazing service.
Great food, great prices, and nice staff. Hard to beat
I called for delivery and the man said he only delivers to hamden. I live in hamden so I placed my order. He called me back and said the driver didn't want to deliver to my house! What kind of unprofessional crap is that. I used to go in and eat all the time. They will never get my money again!
Great food but expect to pay an arm and a leg
Omg. I came back in the same week it was so good. Such nice people too. Very good authentic food.
Why even bother going somewhere else? To the previous reviewer: pad Thai is not an authentic dish. Get that somewhere else. These guys are so talented. So sweet. So humble. And so hard working. If you have not been, you are missing out!
Where do I even start? This is, without a doubt, the best, most honest restaurant in Hamden. They have our heart. It's a father and son team that cook up the most authentic and fantastic Thai food you will ever taste. There are not enough words in the English language to praise what is going on here. Go. Eat. You will be in heaven.
Food is incredible
Owners very nice and remembers my name after not seeing me for 3 to 6 months
I tried this place once about 9 years ago.It was my 2nd Thai experience (1st was in Montreal, which was too sweet to enjoy) and I recall it changed my opinion to how Thai could be really good. Have lots of Thai since but came back to Thai Spice over the weekend and it was not good but priced like the good stuff. FYI
The Pad Thai had an *off eggy* waft and taste about it. Another dish had no seasoning other than whatever was in the pan before it and the sprouts tasted unwashed; bleh.
Excellent food and excellent service! I eat here all the time.... I highly recommend take out... Very small place - they have 3 tables.
Love, love, love!!!!
Good take out and nice people. Only downfall is that directly next door is a nail salon. The fumes carry into the restaurant.
Decent takeout, very quick and cheap, but not very flavorful.
5 of us had dinner before a movie, food was authentice, and everyone enjoyed. Not a lot of ambiance, but the staff was very nice, and the bill was very resonable. If you want good Thai, without expense and fanfare, you will be happy.
