The food is always fresh and full of flavor — my family has had the Pad Thai, spare ribs, and several other dishes, and they’ve all been excellent. The service is just as good — friendly, attentive, and welcoming every time. Whether you’re dining in or getting takeout, you can always count on a great meal. Highly recommend!

I’ve had the pad Thai, drunken noodles, spring rolls, green curry, garlic fried rice, and Tom Kai Gai. My wife often gets the ginger brown sauce with rice, veg and chicken which she also loves. She has also eaten there and tried the chicken satay and curry puffs - both which she said were excellent. The inside is also nice enough to eat in with a small group. Everything is fresh and tasty AND consistent regardless of the day or time we order. My favorites are the drunken noodles and green curry because both are spicy (4/5 🌶️) and delicious. I also got the Tom Kai Gai coconut soup when I was sick a few weeks ago and the broth was life giving with a generous amount of chicken. It is a bit on the pricier side but portions are generous. My wife and I share the green curry or when we both get our own, we always have a generous portion of leftovers for the next day. Can’t recommend enough!

If you like bland food that doesn’t have much flavor or spice then this place is for you. Inauthentic too.

The ambience and service is very very good, but the food is so mediocre it’s sad. Small portions aside, I got Tom Khai Ga soup, papaya salad and drunken noodles. The soup was basically just coconut milk. The papaya salad for some reason had iceberg lettuce? And the noodles barely had flavor.

I was asked how it was and when I said the soup had too much coconut they said “this type of soup has lots of coconut milk”. I know but I’ve had it many times and have cooked it many times and it was not authentic.

My family and I just ate here for the first time and left in a state of bewildered frustration. How could a place so warm and cosey with such amazingly attentive wait staff serve food that so terrible? Mind you we eat Thai food as often as possible at as many places as possible and the food at Bangkok Boulevard was truly the worst we've ever had by far. My to kha gai soup tasted like a bowl of pure lime juice and was so sour I coukd not finish it. The spring rolls, while edible, were the kind and of the quality you'd expect from a cheap Chinese takeout joint. The entrees were as bad, if not worse, than the appetizers. The Hot Basil stir fry, while advertised as one of the spiciest dishes on the menu, tasted like it had no spice at all. In fact it tasted like had no seasoning at all except for a generous cup of oil which permeated the otherwise flavorless sauce. The vegetables underneath this awful sauce we're cooked well but unfortunately could not be enjoyed due to the dishes other defects. My wife's steamed tofu and vegetable dish prove that oil was indeed the main ingredient of each and every entree on this Restaurant's menu. Once again the the sauce for this dish was absolutely flavorless and left a Pasty residue in the mouth which not even several glasses of water could wash away. It is hard to imagine that the place I'm talking about also happens to have perhaps the kindest and most helpful wait staff I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Are every request and need was attended to immediately and with a kind smile. And what's more, the restaurant itself was one of the most Charming and delightful little places I've been to in a while: warm, cozy, wonderfully decorated, with comfortable chairs and roomy tables. Were it not for the wait staff and atmosphere in this place I would have given only one star.

Extremely pleased with food quality, presentation (see photo) and the many choices including vegan and gluten free. When I requested a substitution of brocolli instead of baby corn it was done. Prices were reasonable for the excellent food quality. Wait/ serving staff were courteous and warm. When they noticed us trying to take a photo of our large group, they offered to take one for us. It came out perfect and will be a great memory of the wonderful time we enjoyed there.

It's a Hamden go to for Thai food. Whether you are looking for a meal for take out on your busy days or evenings or a nice casual dinner with yourself, friends or families, Bangkok is a local gem that delivers to give diverse menu options and very friendly service from the staff.

Do not go at a busy time. Had 2 people working had to wait for everything. Stays came in cold sent back, came back a little warmer but 2 of the pieces were raw. Rest every other food was really good.

Stopped in for a mid afternoon snack and tea. Very nice restaurant with good food and attentive service. Kind of small and could clearly hear the conversation a couple tables away. Would go back again!

I DROVE 25 minutes to get drunken noodles and when I opened it was shocked! You can’t even tell it is supposed to be noodle and beef, everything was mushy and looked old. The only good thing about this restaurant was the service. A waste of money and time and now I have to make something to eat.

I couldn’t resist writing a review about this place. I have not been to a much friendlier and welcoming restaurant in ages as this one. The restaurant staff was so welcoming and friendly. Well decorated before Halloween made the place look festive.

They also let me bring my dog inside which was very nice of them and they are dog friendly ! Was a perfect visit and will absolutely be back soon :)

This is fantastic Thai restaurant. I love the Pho but have been with friends who have had duck and other main courses. All were good. Can get spicey hot or mild.

Delicious, flavorful food with lots of options on the menu. I ordered appetizers to try different dishes and was very pleased. I had a coconut chicken soup, summer rolls with peanut sauce, and vegetable curry puffs, and had leftovers to take home. One of my favorite Thai restaurants!

I've been here a few times. They're people who put care and effort into what they do. The food is always great and a good value. The service is great, even for delivery people.

My husband and I have gone for lunch and dinner. The ambiance is great. Service is a little slow. Food is very delicious. It does get extremely busy after 5:00pm and on numerous times, there was ONE server for the entire resturant on top of the telephone orders. Online orders pick up constantly.

Had food delivered. Chicken satay was under cooked and just tasted like boiled chicken!
Tiger tear beef was cold and tasteless!

The food was very tasty and affordable. The portions were big and we ended up taking a lot of food home with us. The staff was friendly and we were served pretty quickly from the time we ordered our food.

The food also wasn't too spicy. The menu has pepper symbols next to the items to indicate their spice. Dishes without spice had no pepper and the spiciest had 4 peppers. Someone at our table ordered a dish that was listed as 3 peppers. I tried it, and as someone who is not very good with spice I thought it was pretty good.

It was hard to choose an entree since everything on the menu looked appealing. I decided on pad thai with tofu. It was delicious and beautifully plated! (I attached a picture of it below. The flower is edible and tastes like cabbage.) I tried some of the other food that people at my table ordered and it was all very good. Everyonewwas impressed with their food and we all agreed that we want to eat there again in the future.

I tried Grilled Beef Pho from here but it was too much salty ,the little bit of noodles and a way too much soup in a container.

This place was extremely horrifying. Where should I even begin. My friend’s peanut allergy was completely disregarded and she was served some peanut sauce. This endangered her life, and they refused to change the dish telling her to not touch the sauce. Her peanut allergy is severe and she can die without proper care after eating/touching peanuts. Furthermore, a previous costumer had forgotten his computer which we saw the staff drop to the ground. The costumer was not told about the handling of their computer. In addition, the menu stated that an 18% gratuity was included for groups of six or more people, yet when we received the check it stated that the gratuity was 20%. Seeing as how the service was negligent of medical conditions, we wanted to pay less gratuity. We were told we had to pay 20%, however, after complaining the waitress told us she would talk with her “boss” to get the gratuity down to the menu-indicated 20%. The waitress returned with “changed” receipts that included the same price as the first receipts. Essentially we were scammed and our friend’s deadly allergy was ignored. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We found Bangkok Boulevard on Whitney Avenue in Hamden by accident.
It’s a smallish, unassuming place on the outside but nice inside.
We had chicken laab (salad) first and then red curry chicken and “Siam soft shell crab“. It had three crabs in the dish for $21.
The food was really good and a cut above the average Asian restaurant.
The service was very good! Very professional. Nice atmosphere with low key, unobtrusive music. Clean.
Everything was what you would like from a restaurant.
They are BYOB.
We highly recommend that you try it. We will be going back!

I had a tom yum noodle soup with just 1/4 of the usual spiciness (requested that specifically).
Shrimp was large and fresh - had a great crunch to it.
Ground chicken meatballs were the best I've had (and I usually hate ordering anything with chicken in it).
Noodle was al dente, just how I like it.

Had the yellow curry chicken it might as well I’ve been soup because it was so thin the most disgusting food. Huge chunks of potatoes large pieces of vegetables hard to eat. The curry Didn’t even taste like curry not even worth the time.Maybe 4 to 5 pieces Of over cook chicken

I expected great food, delivery guy left it at the wrong house and the people on the phone acted like it's our fault. I have eaten in several times and always love it. I will never eat there or order again.

Food is ok but super expensive for what you get. Owners very rude. Every Friday I used to order a big order around 70 dollars (we always got the same thing). Last time I asked for some soy sauce in the side and gave me an attitude!

Excellent Vegetarian Pad Thai

Soup excellent. Chicken was dry but sauce excellent and veggies superb. Asked server for recommendations had get to manager, still no real suggestions. Got a lunch special. It came with salad and egg roles. It was great. The salad dressing was perfect. Would go again.

Food here is great, with friendly wait staff and reasonable prices. No liquor license so BYOB if you want to have an adult beverage with your Thai specialty. It is small but cozy inside with booths and tables.

Ridiculously long wait

Excellent food. I am new to Thai food and really enjoyed the bento box lunch special. There are good choices for vegetarians and there are different levels of spice. Reasonably priced too.

Awesome! The food here is simply amazing! I would give it 5 stars except that they are severely understaffed. My wife and I felt bad for the waitress/hostess/cashier/take-out order lady. She was working her @$$ off! She was friendly and apologetic. I'm confident the service would have been better if she wasn't so friggin' busy.
Edit: Just subtracted a star. Came here when it was quiet. My wife and I were the first ones in the place. The service was STILL slow. Doing take-out only from now on.

Fairly good Thai food for Hamden. Probably the best in the area. I love Pad Thai and there's is pretty good. Not the best or the worst I've ever had. I go here once a month for carry out and I've never been disappointed. The crab rangoon is pretty good as well but again, not the best I've had.

Nice atmosphere, superb food. We ordered the green currey, drunken noodles, and the long island salmon. Seriously the best, most authentic thai .... better than you can get in New Haven! The waiter told us that the chef has just come from Thailand.
