One of the first original Thai food in Connecticut. We are in business over 35 years. A small cozy family own restaurant.
I ordered the fried wontons as my appetizer and chicken pad rama for my entrée. Both were amazing, especially the pad rama which was bursting with flavor and the right amount of heat. Based on the taste, I recommend this restaurant highly. So yummy. I'll be back. I'd give it 5 stars, but the restaurant itself lacks ambiance. If you are looking for a place to dress up for a date, this is not it.
Worst thai I’ve ever had!! Take the trip to Thai Spice over in Hamden, knocks this dogfood out of the water. Not to mention violently overpriced. $41 for two orders of chicken drunken noodles and two Thai iced teas?
The food is delicious! We had the roasted duck and the pad see ew. Amazing! Wish the music was a bit more energizing. At the time we were there, they were playing what sounded like classical/spa music.
Excellent Thai restaurant. My favorites are drunken noodle and prawn rolls.
Small but nice atmosphere. We've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed, apps or entrees. Someone complained about pricing but it hasn't changed much despite our current, record inflation.
Thon Bu Ree is amazing if you like sweet and spicy, pirate treasure is always wonderful, we love all the different curries.
The tom yum soup and the red curry were the best I've ever had. Great value for the lunch special. I haven't been here in a while and I forgot how good it is, will definitely be coming back more often.

Best massaman curry
Excellent Thai restaurant. My favorites are drunken noodle and prawn rolls.
👍🏽
Been going there for 15+ years. Family owned friendly people.
Can’t say enough!!!
The drunken noodles 🙏
I love this spot!
Intimate seating
Great customer service
Great food
Drunken noodles!!!!!!

Great restaurant. The owners Kamol and Maam are such kind sweet people. Food is excellent too. I usually go for the drunken noodles here.
Had The drunken noodles, and it was great. Wish they had drunken fried rice, but the noodles were great too
We are traveling with a pet and couldn't comment on atmosphere but the food was excellent!

Chicken drunken noodles were magical. Also enjoyed Thai iced coffee and slaw salad appetizer.
Delicious food, wonderful people.
How can you not love this place? The food is soooo good.
This was my first and last time here. The food was ok but the portions were a absolute joke for the money. There are so many more places that give you better value for your money. Really scratching my head on how this place is still in business.
My favorite Thai in Bridgeport
Pad Thai was not fresh
The tom yum soup and the red curry were the best I've ever had. Great value for the lunch special. I haven't been here in a while and I forgot how good it is, will definitely be coming back more often.
Love the food here.
Incredibly kind and cooperative and the food fire
Always get the drunken noodles, always excellent(a little pricey but worth it)…I think an older couple runs it…so be patient with them
I've eaten a few Thai restaurants and I must say.. unfortunately King & I did not rate as well. Pad Thai was not fresh at all. Noodles were not completely covered in Thai sauce. Maybe just not a good day!
Always good dinner
The best Thai Food I had in CT. Green curry shrimp and cashew chili chicken w/ pineapple are amazing. Worth driving from Danbury.
Very nice place.
Good tastings food.
Plenty of parking.
I compare most Thai to the food here!
Best Thai restaurant- takeout is fantastic too -
We've lived in Stratford for nine years and never knew this restaurant existed. It's terrific. Nice decor, lovely service, delicious meal. We went with friends who have lived here longer than we have, who are "regulars," something we will become. Excellent Thai food, many choices.
Worst thai food I ever tasted in my life !!!
No Mask!! During this covid-19, the people who give out the take out order in this restaurants don't seem too concerned- not wearing mask!
The food was unbelievable. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend King and I
The Chicken Rama here has become one of my favorite Thai dishes. Also quite enjoy the Beef Panama Curry from here. But srsly, that Chicken Rama is a winner!
Best Thai in all of fairfield county and the surrounding area. Everything and I mean everything is made fresh by the chef who is native to Thai Land. The wife is the chef and the husband runs the front of the house.
Dumplings, massaman curry with shrimp, drunken noodles, pad preow whan are just a few other the incredible options. This is a must try!!
Wonderful, fresh ingredients. Delicious food. Very good service.
Food was great! Could not stop eating it!
Food was delicious, portions may be in the small side. I had to order an extra meal to be satisfied.
Food is good! Some of the dishes are spicy, but good spicy.
Amazing! Have been going here for almost 20 years, feels like family when you walk in. The food is authentic and so yummy!!!
The best Thai food in CT!
Abosutely amazing food if you enjoy freshly made dishes an divine dessert I urge you to TRY #thaifoodrock #onlythebest
Great food
always good and closed on Monday's
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great place. My gf and i are vegan and they had options for us.

This place has always been a favorite of ours. Food is excellent and service is impeccable!!!
I’ve been coming here since the late 80s and 90s- It’s the best Thai food around, hands down. I wish they were closer to us now because I would go there multiple times a week! Love the owners and their Kai Mau muang, Fried wontons and extra peanut sauce! You have to go there!!!!
I've been to King and I many times before. The food is good the service is courteous.
Nice, quite atmosphere for date nite with spouse. Food & service excellent.
Owners are very pleasant & friendly. They have a long time loyal following.
Great food and great attention to our food allergies, including gluten, dairy, soy and egg.
Very good food and cozy setting.
Terrible food. Rude waitress
Always enjoy our visits here. Something new: Thai beer. We loved it.
Food is great; very tasty. Very good staff and atmosphere. I visit many Thai restaurants, and the portion size on this one is rather small even for a thin guy. Overall a great place to dine.
Excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere.
Food is great.
Amazing as always!!
The Thai food is so authentic and delicious-- their meals tastes just like the food I had when I went to Thailand!
Excellent authentic mmm mmm good
Favorite Thai restaurant. All dishes are made when you order. The quality has always been consistent for me. Defiantly out performs many other Thai restaurants nearby and in Fairfield. Great Pad Thai, spring rolls, as well as fantastic curries. Small staff but that only makes the place feel cozy.
Awesome Thai!
Great place to eat with the family or friends
Great food.
They always have deliciously fresh food thats consistently made!!! Love this place and most of the dishes they serve!
Lovely food
It has been a long time since i visited this place. I was glad to see that it kept it’s freshness and good flavor. It could use maybe bigger staff because it get filled quickly.
I consider myself a THAI food snob. Thai is my favorite food and these guys know how to make it and they make it well... APPETIZER....SATAY, LARB, NAM SOD. My favorite soup is TOM KHA KAI (Coconut chicken soup) they make it very, very well!!! As for dishes.. EVERYTHING IS GREAT! My favorite dishes are Pad Thai, Thon Bu Ree, Pong Pang, Duck with Basil Leaves, and Massaman Curry Chicken. Do not to try THAI TEA! It is a must have!!!! :)
Excellent
Loved the food! Everything was fresh and prepared as we waited. I highly recommend this lovely gem!
Positively phenomenal. It's a gem of a little thai restaurant that doesn't get nearly the credit it deserves. I hadn't been in in longer than it should have been, but took my girlfriend last night. I'd only taken her for thai once prior, take out from a random spot in New Haven -- and it was gross.
Fingers crossed, I had a hankering for thai and set off for old trusty. I remember it being small but very welcoming, and it was as I recalled, but the decor seems it's been updated. Everything was fresh and extremely clean, and smelled phenomenal.
I had the thai green curry (chicken), she had the pad se ew (beef), and both were absolutely delightful. One thing I did recall is that the portions were *not* gut busting, but just very reasonable. I don't find this to be a flaw. Plates shouldn't make you sick if you happen to finish them, and having left overs need not be the norm ... order an extra meal if you'd like more to go!
Anyway, I will be frequenting King and I -- It's back in my rotation. The food was on point, better so than (I remember) the Fairfield location's being (which I lived near a for a few years around 2009 [though this review is neither about nor to a knock on the Fairfield King & I]).
Anyway, don't hesitate to go. This isn't NYC, and we don't have the kind of variety here that they have (and I'm spoiled from working a few years in the city). But the food is as good as any I'd had in New York, and I cannot wait to go back. I'm still gloating thinking about last nights dinner!
Thank you very much to the kind gentleman who took care of us, as well! See you again soon.
I apologize in advance if I offend anyone, but this place is totally WACK! Can I have my $13 back? For a first timer at this place I was very disappointed. I asked if I can have noodles instead of rice and the gentleman looked me like I had 4 heads. I get it, this is not the local Chinese restaurant but come on at least the food portion should be more than a kids meal and the rubber chicken was a joke. I give it one star for the cashews that were sprinkled in the dish. I threw out my meal and went back out to Vazzy's.
We ordered a large order for lunch at work. One girl only had her credit card we asked over the phone to have her order separate. When I got there. The lady was frazeled. I guess the cooks or whomever didn't label the food so she had to repack it all and label it. She did not separate the one order from the rest so I had to pay for all of it on my card and later deposit everyone's cash and my coworker had to owe me. The food is ok the rice could be better. And it would be nice if it wasn't just one women running the tables and ordering.
Food no good the lady over there is very bad she doesn’t know how to take care of customers I suggest not to walk in ...
Delicious
Cozy warm delightful decor. Food was delicious!
"Not bad." Location is convenient, but there's better Thai around. Service is good.
Great service and food!
I have been fortunate to have visited Thailand, the food is as authentic as being in Thailand. The King and I tops my list.
Bangin Thai food, I order spicy for my girl and extra spicy for myself and they actually add the extra heat unlike some places that just b.s. ya. Sick spot, Pad Thai (of course), Pad Rama, and the Taro Root are always on point here. Tamarind sauce is out of this world.
Incredible Thai food and an awesome menu. The pad Thai is so wonderful and the Thai Iced Tea is just wow. Going to keep going back to try a bunch of different things!
Lunch specials were reasonably priced and the food was very good. Atmosphere was relaxed and the server was polite and quick with requests. I specially liked the interior design of the place. Very pretty! Would go again.
I can't even believe I gave this place one star first off the little waiter / owner was a prick treated me like I was begging for something when I was coming in to pick up my $30 order told me to hold on when I was asking him for something the service is not the only problem the food was disgusting and super tiny portions like the other reviews said wish I read them before I wasted my money avoid this place at all costs the pad thai cost 1350 it was in a small container it was only half way full unbelievable now you know why they put the staple on the bag so you don't look till you get home the food was atrocious the noodles were all dry like they were left out in the air it tasted old and microwaved if I ever see that little dude again so help me God and you know what there was only three tiny thin slice little pieces of chicken in the whole little dish I would recommend going home microwaving a ramen noodle removing the broth take one chicken nugget cut it into 3 take a cheap package of hot sauce dump it in that's what 1350 taste like at this dump soooooooo mad I have to go back out and get something to eat after that snack
Got takeout of pad Thai and an order of spring rolls. It cost almost $17 and was the smallest portion of Thai food I've ever gotten. We got 2 spring rolls in our order and half of a small container of pad thai. The flavor was okay but the noodles were undercooked. Not worth the $ at all.
I've been getting takeout from them for over 16 years and it's always been good.
Very nice
I will never go back, because of the horrible, horrible service and premade food. The waiter was very rude and argued with me when he messed up my order. He told me that I was wrong and that he was right and that he wasn't going to do anything to correct his mistake. Our waiter also told me that he can't put the sauce on the side, because ALL THE FOOD AT THE RESTAURANT IS PREMADE.
One of the best thai food restaurant on town!
Simply ridiculous parody of thai food: tasteless sugary blobs of food to appeal to mcdonalds crowd.
we had much better food in stratford than the new location in faifield.
BEST THAI IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY.
