We opened business for over 15 years.
Highly recommend this restaurant! My first time dining at Puukaow and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Paanang Curry and Pad Thai and both dishes were exceptional. Flavorful. When they ask you what spice level and you prefer ‘spicy’ stick with either a 3-4 spice level. Egg rolls are a must! One order comes with (4) pieces. Good food!
The place now has exceptional service. Combine that with food, it's a go-to place. You are always welcomed in. Service makes a great meal exceptional.
It's always a culinary journey eating here. Foods pretty authentic. The Thai spicy level always opens everything up if you like it very spicy hot. I always love a spicy that brings tears to your eyes.
Food was excellent! Fried calamari was great with the sauce, fried tofu was crispy on the outside without being hard, and the drunken noodles were delicious! I got them at a 4/5 heat, which is comparable to buldak hot ramen as far as temperature goes. Will definitely be going again!
I came to this cute little place alone to eat and was skeptical at first but The service was excellent and the food tastes very authentic! since I had never been there before my waiter practically ordered for me by asking a few questions on what I liked ! I got the sidewalk noodles heat #3 it was delicious! I will be going back ! I gave it a four star only cause the tables are very close together so you eat very close to others.
Quite little place with great food! Definitely try the Wanton soup appetizer it was sssoooo good. The husband had the lunch special, and it was so good I had the sidewalk noodles with beef spice level 2 it was fantastic! We can't wait to go back again and try more
Incredible fresh hot soup, perfectly flavored entrees!
The staff is friendly and quick. If you have questions, they have or will get you answers. The food is savory and filling. They have many options. It's a quiet little spot and is worth the experience.

The tom yum was to die for, coconut milk soup incredible, and very tasty pad thai! Wonderful service as well. 10/10 would recommend 😍
I asked for the extreme spiciness, and they delivered! My new favorite Thai place, and the service was top notch. 🤌
Love this place! My kids have celiac and I always feel safe coming here and there’s tons of gluten free options! All the food is delicious and customer service is great!
1st time there. Absolutely wonderful. The food was superb. Owners nephew was very helpful. Highly recommend
yellow curry goes crazy
Best Thai food place. Better than anything you'll find in Colorado Springs
Wow, the food and staff are outstanding. I have a new favorite local spot. I can see becoming a regular visitor.

The best thia food I have ever had. Soooo good!
The "greeter" guy at the entrance has worse customer service skills than a thrift store mannequin. And he is lousy at pretending not to see waiting customers Sorry. The food is great but bad customer service is a deal breaker.
Puukaow Thai is one of Pueblo's best kept secrets. Absolutely INCREDIBLE food with the ability to veganize just about everything and tailor the spice of each dish to anyone's liking.
Friendly service, we go almost weekly!
Absolutely the best Thai restaurant outside Thailand! Above and beyond delicious. And extremely vegan and GF friendly.
THE BEST THAI in Colorado!!
I have tried items across the menu and "specialty" board and literally everything is great. The staff remembers you on repeat visits, is bubly, and accommodating. Puukaow makes dining in PW a look-forward-to experience!
I’ve literally never left a review… like ever. But I felt the need to for this place. The food is sooo incredible fresh, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. I get the healthy fried rice usually but tried a few other options with my family like the pad Thai, spring rolls, some sort of spicy shrimp, and sticky rice for dessert. When I say every single item was delicious I am not kidding. Even my picky toddler loved the pad Thai. Can’t say enough good things. If you haven’t been here before it’s 100% a must!
THE WORST! We have been here before and the food was actually pretty decent but today we were the only ones in the establishment. My wife ordered the fried softshell crab which was cut into 4 pieces. My wife bit into it and it was frozen, gross juices pouring out. We stated what happened and the server stated he could reheat it but obviously my wife did not want it and we ordered something else. When it was time for the check the waiter stated he took a percentage off but he would have to charge us, even though the establishment messed up. This is not an establishment we will go back to! Make sure if you go, that you know what you are getting into! It’s not about the money it’s the way they treat their customers, we were treated like we did something wrong when this establishment obviously does not care about the food, how they serve it and how they treat people that come in to get something good to eat which this place does not have! DO NOT COME HERE unless you want some BS service/ Food. Spend your money elsewhere! # still hungry
I went at a little after 5pm. There were two other tables of guests at the time. I asked for some hot tea and the server told me they were out of tea pots.. ?? ummm Never heard that before. So after awhile my sister asks for another glass of wine and the server told her she needed the wine glass because they were short wine glasses. My sister still had some wine in her glass and the server just wanted to 'top it off'. There were literally 5 tables occupied and only one other person was drinking wine.. Just wierd. We will never go back.
The food is great, and the service is great. We like it Puukaow when we lived here 10-12 years ago, and they still rock! They are pricey, but food is great.
Their customer service is so good Patrick knows our order even when I forget. He reminds me how my husband usually likes his spice level etc. I’ve forgotten my debit card and they called me right away.
Amazing lunch. This is our second time eating here, super happy each time
The place now has exceptional service.
I eat lunch here quite often and Patrick is amazing. He looks like a heck of a worker and always remembers what I order. Thanks!
Great thai experience, fresh food and very pleasant staff. Easy 5 stars!
It's a great spot. They always remember our order and it's always great homemade food
One of my favorite places to eat in Pueblo. Great food, fair prices and Pat is the man! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Absolutely delicious! I would eat the leftovers out of their dumpster.
One nice server and good food! Treated horribly several times by three different servers but we go back for the food. Might just do pickup for now on. Too bad because we were telling all of our friends and family about this place.
Expensive, but worth it. Very tasty pad thai and curries. We usually order takeout, but have twice dined in and liked the atmosphere and friendliness of servers.
From living in Denver, I have tried many, many Thai restaurants. Puukaow Thai takes the #1 spot for me.
Amazing customer service and by far the most authentic. I highly recommend the Chicken Skewers, Pad Thai, Tom Kha, Panang Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice. Don’t forget about the Mango Sticky Rice with Ice Cream for dessert (: Remember… choose spice level at your own discretion lol
I drive an hour to dine in or take out. I bring a thermal bag to keep it fresh when taking home!
Quaint place. Great food and service.
Best Thai restaurant in the Pueblo area.
Friendly staff, lots to choose from on the menu, and everything was tasty! Would definitely come back again!
Best Thai around we love this place! The service is always as great as the food!
Such an amazing experience. So delicious and flavorful. Fair pricing. Everything was just so so good. Happy to have found this spot. We will definitely be returning again and sharing it with our friends. I ordered the ginger stir fry without spice (pregnant) and it was just perfect.
The BEST THAI FOOD EVER!!! I am never disappointed. The excellence is evident. A piece of joy and utter magnificence, enjoy!!! 🥰
Coconut shrimp is a must every time
Looking for a new Thai place since moving here and found this one. The reviews are spot-on. We enjoyed some Pad Thai with medium heat and it was delicious. Chicken with Cashews came with some mild heat and it was perfect. The chicken was nice quality and the veggies were fresh. Green Curry Chicken was heavy on the squash and I'm used to some eggplant, but still tasty. We had to try the Sticky Rice with Mango and it was good. As it was mentioned by other reviewers it is not the place to go if you're in a hurry. We waited an hour for our food, but it was worth the wait. They are short staffed so make sure you're out to enjoy the experience and not in a rush. Everyone seemed really pleased with their food and the server was pleasant considering she was the only one there. The prices are a little high but the food is high quality. We will be back.
Amazing Curry! They remove the shrimp tails, so you don’t have to deal with them and that’s nice!
Mussels in curry, way good
My Go-To for Thai. Love everything here. Have NEVER been disappointed. Great people, great food and always a smile.
I heard a lot of great things about this restaurant. It was good but to be honest didn't see the hype I heard from others. Good sauce. Shrimp extremely overcooked. The person I went with felt dish was bland. Service was very good.
Our first experience here was amazing! I get overwhelmed by big menus, and our waiter did an amazing job of asking us questions to help us pick a dish. We also had the sticky rice with green tea ice cream dessert, which was delicious. Great food and great service at an affordable price. We will be back!
Been going here for years because I’m never disappointed. I recommend the pad Thai, yellow curry and any of the soups! Great lunch special that comes with a small entree, spring roll and cup of soup. Friendly and fast service. The best restaurant in PW!
5/5 every time with everything!
Awesome place!!!
Poor service , never come back.
The food is delicious- my favorite dish is stir fry clear noodles. The service is amazing very attentive. Love this place!
The best curry around! Their yellow curry is amazing!
The food is amazing, so full of flavor and so filling.
Just simply amazing!!! The food, service, and atmosphere are simply phenomenal!!!
Excellent green curry and Pad Thai. More reasonable prices at lunch.
This restaurant was Absolutely Amazing! The staff was very Friendly and Helpful in ordering. The food was above and beyond Fantastic. My family and I will most definitely be back as regular customers. A++
This place is SPICY 🔥🔥🔥
I visited this restaurant for the first time about a month ago and I can’t stop going! The food and spice is amazing. The service is the best I’ve seen in a long time! I would highly recommend.
Awesome real Thai food! Take my words I should know I am married to a Thai and we are just visiting the States. Great staff clean place.
This is one Restaurant that we really enjoy. The food is always delicious, service is great and the staff is friendly and warm. We always love trying new dishes! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try something new!
The owners have updated the interior and now it is a nicer atmosphere!
The food is incredible!
This is by far my favorite restaraunt in Pueblo/PWest. The food is so authentic and is bursting with flavor and spices. I've never had a bad meal here, everything that I try is delicious. I suggest the sidewalk noodle bowl and of course the spring rolls but anything you get, you are sure to love. It's no wonder they have such positive reviews and high stars! If you enjoy rich flavor and delicious food, I highly suggest Puukaow!
This was my first time there. We went to have dinner for my son's birthday it was so awesome the food is so delicious I will go again I highly recommend this place
This place used to be a gem, but they changed their Massaman Curry recipe and now it's watered down and tastes like syrup. Would've been nice if they informed customers of this change. Disappointed and sad that I can't get my curry fix from this place anymore.
I love the red curry!!
Food was delicious and ready when they said it would be. The green curry could've used a little bit more chicken but other than that pretty solid.
Terrible service. Tried this place a year ago and never returned. Food was good but waiter was rude and passive aggressive.
Great food and service!
Very good food!
I get red curry 5star with combo meat and it's the best thing I've eaten in a while number 1 Pat.
Always good!
Food and service are amazing so good
Amazing food! The staff are very friendly.
I always get the same thing: Pad See Ewe with shrimp, medium heat and extra veggies. I'm from AZ where my favorite Thai place is and compare other restaurants to the one in Phoenix. So...for medium spice, it was too hot. Shrimp was overcooked. Veggies could have used 30 more seconds in the wok. Flavor was good and I ate it all. It just wasn't great.
Loooooooove! I go *everytime* I drive to peublo and get extras for the next day, too!
Excellent service!! Stopped in for dinner and was served quick. Food and portions were great
We were visiting family here in Pueblo West, and they brought a group of us to Puukaow for dinner. We had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, very flavorful, from the appetizers to dessert. Our waiter was phenomenal, very attentive, funny, and informative. We all appreciated the 5 star service, and my only regret is that I'll have to wait until my next trip to Colorado to eat here again!
This is a spot we are weekly frequent flyers to. The menu is delicious in every aspect. I keep my heat around 2.5 to a 3. We love the staff as well.
Hands down best service Best Thai food in town!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. By far the best place in Pueblo/Pueblo West for great food and atmosphere. The food and service is top notch. The owner is so friendly and remembers what you like and how you like it. This place really has a nice custom feel to it that makes you feel at home. I love coming here. The owner is the best. Always makes you feel comfortable and takes care of you. I love this place!
Thai fried rice was absolutely delicious, and the portion size for the cost was perfect. Staff was super nice and even offered my husband a free Thai tea to try while he waited.
Good food and not overpriced. Their spicy food is actually spicy
This is the first time my friend and I have been in here. The service was good and the food was delicious. I ordered the curry chicken with fried rice and spring rolls. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will be coming back.
Awesome vegetarian and Vegan options! Sooooo good! My favorite restaurant in Pueblo West. The staff is amazing, and remembered my preferences after the first visit. I was blown away with the service!
Super good food, healthy serving also, very tasty!
One of my absolute favorite places in town. The food is consistent, and amazing. Service is even better, Marisa and Patrick are the absolute best. If you’re hesitant about trying Thai food, go here. The spice level is customizable and there is something for every palate. They are vegetarian friendly as well, and the restaurant is very clean.
Excellent place food and service
My favorite place to go! Not only amazing Thai food but THE BEST service, hands down! If the gentleman helping you recommends something, believe him! I always get the pad thai, but my husband loves the fried rice, there is something for everyone! Love this place!!
Always great food. Always great service. Great atmosphere for a little strip mall restaurant. Haven't been going as much as usual since we live on the other side of town, but I don't think we've ever been disappointed. Love the spring rolls, Pad Thai and sticky rice with toasted coconut ice cream for dessert. Heartily recommend.
First time going here tonight. I never had this type of food before. the waiter was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful, especially picking out our foods! Will definitely be back!! It's like a small happy family there! I am very pleased and i am a very, very picky eatter when it comes to my food and even my 2 yr old and 12 yr old loved their dishes too! Thank you so much for a pleasant and yummy dinner! 😋
Best place for Thai.
Great restaurant but their prices have gone way too high
Healthy fried rice (heat-2) 5/5
Sidewalk noodles 4/5
I was very impressed. But be cautious they have a heat scale 2 is very warm 4 omg but if you like the heat 5 bring it on but be ready. No joke!
This was just wonderful! I can't wait to go back soon. The service was fast, and food was served very quickly as well. We were not rushed in any way, but it showed they cared about us being satisfied. Parking was plentiful and the restaurant was very clean. Another place I look forward to enjoying again very soon!
Nice to have great thai food close by.
This place is a hidden gem. I have had Thai in many states and this place is superior. I have never tried anything off of the menu that was not delicious. The food is always fresh and the people are warm. Definitely recommended this place for Thai.
Honestly not just the best thai food in Pueblo but possibly in all of Southern Colorado
I wish that I could give it a half star only Absolutely horrible take out service
Called and ordered by telephone and was told 30 minutes
Got to restaurant and was told they did not have a phone order.
No problem ordered at counter and waited 1 hour after paying. Was told they were busy and wait times were over an hour.
Such a shame this was a great takeout and dining room.
Excellent food, many gluten free options for my celiac husband
Disappointing lately. I understand things go up but so have the restaurant prices. I've been a loyal customer for 15 years. Now the sauses are watered down and I have always asked for no ice and today I got barely over half the cup full. Will not be returning any time soon.
Absolutely awesome food, no complaints, great staff too
Authentic Thai food. Don't let the outside appearance of the shopping mall fool you. This is a high class restaurant. For an experienced "Pepper Head" like me, the "Thai Hot" level of spice gave me the "chili burn" that I was looking for without taking away from the flavor of the entrée. Very friendly and helpful service. A pearl hidden inside Pueblo... EXCELLENT!
Delicious! So so flavorful! Spicy really means spicy. Friendly service and vegan friendly to boot!
We usually get takeout. Best thing food outside of Springs!
One of the best places in all of southern Colorado
ordered takeout pad see ew and pad thai. neither of the dishes had enough sauce and even though I ordered “mild” the spice level would have been a medium-hot at other restaurants. also had some tofu that tasted weird and the sticky rice pudding was weirdly textured — all of it was clumped together. this wasn’t worth nearly $50 for 2 ppl (+ a modest tip) and the drive from Pueblo.
It’s hard to find good Thai food, in my experience. Their yellow curry is so good. I get it with tofu. Best tofu I’ve had from a restaurant. My husband always gets something different and has liked everything he’s tried so far. Very friend staff. Fast service. Great prices. Good portion sizes.
Highly recommend.
We stopped by from a long trip drive. We ordered level 4 of Thai spicy, they delivered it. The food was sooooo delicious. One of the best Thai restaurent. Don't forget to try the dessert 'Ice cream with toasted coconut with sweet sticky rice'. Definitely check it out if you have a chance. You will not be disappointed.
I have been here countless times since they opened and order the chicken satay almost every time it need’s a little more flavor but it is juicy I also order the fired tofu which is always good
One of the best "Home Made" lemongrass soups/Tom Yum I've ever had. Everything else was great too lol! Recommend this to everyone, you can taste the difference!
Very good Thai food.
Like most places they were short staffed but were very helpful. The food was great and definitely worth the short wait.
Oh, try the cheese cake for dessert. You will not be sad.
first time going and was impressed with the food, customer service, and cleanliness!! Started with chicken skewers that were tasty and had a nice dipping sauce, also tried the papaya salad which was different in all aspects of a salad but still really tasty. others tried the popcorn shrimp and all liked it, as well as the shrimp spring rolls.. my Main entree was the garlic chicken with spice level 3 and it was soo good just wish it came with a bigger portion of jasmine white rice. The green curry was interesting might have to try it again with a different spice level. Both of the Thai beers, lucky buddha, and Singha were also really good both light lager type. The tai iced was amazing really good!! the staff was patient and helpful as it was our first time super nice and ontop of clearing plates and refills!!
Unmatched dinner dinning from appetizer to dessert, top quality Thai cuisine in a Thai themed atmosphere. Thank you Gaan!
This place is always clean. The staff is always very pleasant. The food is delicious and very consistent. Some of my favorite dishes are the yellow curry, the sweet and sour stir fry, sidewalk noodles and garlic shrimp. This place is a gem. There is nothing else like it in town, and I am so glad that they are here.
Awesome food!!
Yum!
The way a review of a restaurant ought to start right.
The food is awesome. Great choices in spicy... mild to very hot 🔥
I love this place.
Local and quality!
The staff is always friendly and attentive... and they serve up a great meal.
Highly recommend.
Support local!!!
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had! I would highly recommend this place!
Smallest & Worst fresh shrimp spring rolls on the planet..& the peanut sauce is just as bad..chunky & weird..I I spent $39.00 for a to go of 4 orders & left a 5.00 tip..They shoved them all in one container..when these were for 4 different people..The wrap was hard like rubber..just horrible..The place looked appealing inside..However I can not go back..I drove an hour each way just to get these. Just horrible..Also.they charged 4.00 for a super small ramekin of extra peanut sauce..which I would never had ordered in advance if I knew how bad this was going to be..
Panang currie lunch was wonderful
Very good restaurant! Pretty decor, clean tables, bright windows and such friendly staff! The soups are so good! I had Pad Thai dish with shrimp and chicken, and it was excellent. They will make it as spicy as you want. Or if you want more peanut sauce or something, that's fine too. Nice hot jasmine tea. Overall a very good meal. Great for Pueblo West!
Don't be fooled by the strip mall exterior appearance, this is easily one of the best restaurants in Pueblo. Everything is delicious, the interior atmosphere is very pleasant and calm, and the entire staff is great! If only I lived closer, I'd eat here at least once a week. At least.
A warning, though: as with most real Thai restaurants, don't overestimate your capacity for heat. I can't get enough spicy stuff, but 5 star is a little too hot even for me. If you're at all sensitive to spice, probably don't go above a 1. But still definitely go.
The Thai food is great!
Great food and a great staff. I really enjoy this establishment.
I had the Chicken Yellow Curry, a fried, chicken spring roll with a Cucumber Salad and it was $30. The amount of rice they give is half of what it should be... pretty insulting to pay $30 and get home with 3 or 4 bites of steamed rice. The Spring Roll was typical Thai fried roll.. I expected some chicken in there but is was laughable trying to find meat in there.. just some mushy silver noodles. Didn't finish those... just tossed them out. The chicken was the typical dry, pre-sliced frozen in a bag white meat chicken typical at most Thai and Chinese restaurants. Dry and tasteless (curry is best with slow cooked bone in chicken). The curry also lacked the creamy smooth texture you expect from coconut milk because it was watered down and they must have added a little sweetener to compensate for the lack of coconut milk.. it was too sweet. Cucumber Salad was boring.. not marinated long enough in the vinegar.. just tasted like plain cucumbers in sugar water... no onions like most other Thai restaurants. $5 for that? I don't think so. I won't be back.. I still felt a little hungry after eating as the portion was like a small lunch portion.
Very good food.
This place is a hidden gem, nestled in the corner of a strip mall in Pueblo West. The food is fantastic and the service extraordinary.
Everything is delicious every single time! Pick your spice level and it’s always on point. Don’t sleep on the Thai Tea, it’s delicious and an excellent pairing for any spice level.
Great drunken noodles!
Woooow! My goodness! Many American Thai restaurants fail to excite me…Puukaow doe—blew me away!
I actually took the gf here for V-day(the one Monday they are open!) and boy, what a treat!
Starting with the Calamari appetizer—wait—no—that’s not what it started with. It started with a fantastic waiter! He was charismatic, knowledgeable, and quick to provide tailored advice. The calamari hit the spot—as it was well-(but not over)battered and perfectly cooked. Just the right about of chewy and breading.
Next—after an earnest recommendation, I selected the green curry fried rice—and BAM! Perfect flavors and textures. Well balanced blend of sweet and spicy. Mm mmm mmm.
Lastly—the famed Mango Sticky Rice and coconut ice cream was FIRE!
Easily 5 stars.
I totally Love this restaurants. The food is amazing!!! No matter what you order it is so tasty!!!
The best coconut milk soup and fresh spring rolls in town just like in Thailand
Delicious food but pricey. The portion sizes are shrinking too. Fun to splurge once in awhile.
Fantastic service and great food.
Food was wonderful, staff very attentive and the restaurant was very clean.
I loved it here! My table enjoyed the bronco wraps (lettuce wraps), green curry, and sidewalk noodles. They were all delicious and had fresh, complex flavors. You could pick your spice level for most dishes! The Jasmine tea was loose leaf, delightful, and came in interesting tea pots. They were also very accommodating with my gluten-free and dairy-free needs. We had lovely interactions with the kind and helpful staff. This place is truly a little gem :)
Great service and delicious food!
Best Thai food we have found in the area and nice atmosphere
Delicious!! Have gone back often!
Delicious food. Highly recommended. Their curry dishes are some of the best I have ever eaten.
My husband and I had excellent lunch here on 7/31/21. We had ice tea, spring rolls, cucumber salad, drunken noodles, and yellow chicken curry. You can get brown rice for extra charge. Our waitress was nice and kept our ice tea full. This place was very clean too.
