We offer yummy Chinese, Thai & Pho options for our hungry customers. Our fan favorites are our hot and sour soup, red Thai curry, bulgogi, Mongolian beef, and General Tao's chicken. Everything is made fresh by the order, and we are confident in the quality of our food. Our staff is very nice and attentive, and we strive to give you the best dining experience possible.
Looked for an Oriental restaurant and found this gem!
Walked in and we were the only ones in the restaurant until another couple came.
Husband ordered shrimp and broccoli and I ordered the happy family dinner combos, which included soup, egg roll, a fried cheese wonton and choice of steam or fried rice.
The menu is extensive with everything one would ever want to eat.
The jasmine tea needed time to brew but was still good.
I should have never looked down because the restaurant needs a thorough cleaning!
If we were to be back, in the area, I would stop back .. maybe for take out.
Guys, You've got to do a better job with frying your chicken! The two dishes that I got for the kids to eat, the chicken was so poorly cooked we may as well have served them cardboard. Everything else was average but when I come home to feed 4 kids and then have to make frozen pizza because you failed at what should be super simple and delicious, then I'm not happy. I have it a four star because it was hot and ready when. I showed up and the girl was nice, but that doesn't fix the chicken.
Been going to Tao's for years now. It's my favorite family owned Asian food restaurant. Kind and generous staff serving yummy and very affordable food. The owners have come out and greeted me on several occasions and have been proud to sponsor the local wrestling team's dinners on multiple occasions. We hosted our wedding reception lunch and they were helpful all along the way. Along with being very affordable. They offer all ranges of food for everyone regardless of spice tolerance, enjoyment of Asian cuisine, etc. My grandmother who grew up on strictly American food enjoyed Taos and would order it for our family dinners on every occasion.
Come try out these HUGE portions!
Updated on the review, coming here for over a years now, the food still tastes sooo good, and they serve bubble tea now, I ordered the taro and my husband order the regular milk tea flavor, both are so great. (This were the last review:" Large portions, great customer, definitely will come back. Thank you 😊")
Ordered pickup/takeout. The food was just ok. Really had high hopes for trying a place we haven't tried before but my "spicy" dinner was bland, not spicy and not very flavorful. Also, forgot the fried rice on my order. The hot and sour soup was a weird consistency and very bland. The veggy egg roll and cheese wonton were pretty good. Picked up on a Friday night and there was only 1 table of in-dining customers but 3 people for pickups orders. Probably won't be coming back.
(Caveat: this was noon, mid-week visit). The place was empty, but for the proprietors, whose little boy wondered the floor - which was fine, he was cute, it made it folksy. The Kung Pao Chicken was a large portion but a bit sauce-heavy and a unique carrot/celery-forward recipe with no sight of the usual onions in the mix. Not bad, but a little too saucy for me. Service was fine, place was clean - though the space seemed awkwardly utilized.
food tastes different than before

Fried rice, general tso’s chicken and Mongolian beef. All three were delicious. Would return.

We always order takeout! The portion size is good and the ingredients always taste fresh. They have a variety of entrees to choose from. We are always satisfied ordering from here. The shrimp and vegetables is delicious!
Great service and yummy food
I catered a party from Tao's and was very pleased with the results. They let me create my own meal off of their full menu (you're not just limited to what it is listed in the catering section) and they even threw in some extras. Paying in cash, the price per head came out to be very reasonable, and all my guests enjoyed the food.
Growing up in Boston and having spent some time in NY and SF, I've had a hard time finding good Chinese food in Colorado, but Tao's hits the mark on most of their dishes.
Fast service and great food.

So disappointing. Was looking forward to some General Tso’s but the chicken was way overfried. There wasn’t any traditional pork for the noodles or rice; I was warned it was “BBQ pork” but I didn’t expect to see big sliced slabs of pork roast in the lo mein. The Kung Pao veggies were good but overall we didn’t save the leftovers, and there were a lot. Pains me to say it but Panda Express’ food is better.
They have great delivery and have always gone the extra mile to take care of me! The food is always great as well.
Speedy & friendly service w/ superior food quality!
Fantastic food. Very friendly and polite staff.
The food and staff is really top notch. Will certainly return as this was our first visit. Looking forward to trying other dishes.
Small, quiet and delicious.
Inquired about the vegetables in two pork dishes, was told that twice cooked pork had a lot of big cabbage pieces which was what I was most interested in...disappointed to see that there were only maybe 5 or 6 1" pieces. I overheard her ask someone else, "On a scale of 1-5, how hot do you want that?" Wish she would have asked me, because even though this dish should be spicy, it was not even a 1.
Whatever thickener they use for hot sour soup is very heavy. Leaves that feeling on your tongue. Not very hot either.
No brown rice available, yet it is on the menu. Fried rice was cold.
All in all, it's a real shame. I am visiting the area and staying across the street and could have easily made this a regular stop. But no.
Great menu choices. We enjoyed some traditional Chinese cuisine. It was pretty good. Much better than some, but not the best.
Portions were good.
Staff is very nice.
This is a small strip mall location so more practical than fancy. Most of their business seems to be carry out. We are looking forward to trying some of their other cuisines and will update the review when we do.
I always have great interactions with the employees, food is delicious!
I hadn't eaten in here in a while and I felt like the food was very tasty. I'm going to try to stop more often.
Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere and great service! Good prices too! The Thai tea and tofu pad Thai were amazing. 😁
I love their Green Curry (I get it spicy with tofu) and Thai Basil (medium spice with chicken), meat egg rolls, and fried wontons. Yummy. I worry about consistency because a few years back I did not always get good food. I'm guessing maybe different chefs on different days, so sometimes it was good and sometimes not. But recently they have been consistently good and the meals I get delivered are always hot so I know they haven't been sitting around waiting for the person who delivers to become available. I am so addicted to the Green Curry. I tell myself I should try other items, but when the time comes to order... I have to have that Green Curry. So good!
I order from Tao’s at least 1-3 times per month. I have always enjoyed the food quality and consistency of the food taste. I personally love the Hot and sour soup, and the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken fried rice as a main course is also amazing. It is my bad day comfort food… I really have not gotten a bad dish, plenty of options to choose from but it’s hard to try new things as I have my classics! They even included a little cake when I ordered on Mother’s day which was super cute and appreciated. I feel the food is made with care and likewise the presentation and delivery has always been very good.
I love the people and the food here. Their fried rice is the best around
I ordered the Mongolian Beef in lunch yesterday it’s delicious, and the egg drop soup tasted great👍My family both like their meal!I will bring my friends back, Thank you for your service 👍
Order from here once a week. Never have problems, best customer service.
This was pure garbage. The food tasted old, over cooked and lukewarm. Save your money and go elsewhere. I can't say anything good. The place was filthy dirty. And a lil kid running wild.
T
Nasty.. Small portions. Don't recommend.
My family eats here ever month or so for a long time. Thanks!
Very nice place. My father-in-law came once and wanted to take us all back. So, We went with our family and had great customer service and great food. Will be going back.
Our favorite monument and North Co Springs Chinese take out. Portions are good size and well made. Taste is excellent. Love the Singapore noodles. Tables are usually empty... so good to dine in. They make great takeout. Eating in could be nice and quiet (and a great pu pu platter).
SLOP! ABSOLUTE SLOP! Omg- the Chow Fun was dry, the cashew chicken was mostly celery with small little slivers of chicken, the vegetables were over cooked and limp, even the fried rice was tasteless. I spent $85 and was charged $89 because I used a credit card. I should have known the quality of food when I saw the owner’s toddler licking the windows when I walked in. Very dirty and I hope I don’t have food poisoning now. Don’t waste your time. Doesn’t even deserve one star.
My son and I have been here twice now and both times have been exceptional. Food was fresh, flavorful, delicious, and staff was friendly.
Nothing we ordered was good, nearly in-edible. Husband said he thought he saw our food reheated in the microwave, which likely explains the rubbery condition.
I’ve tried many dishes here, all good but once I tried the Green Curry Chicken 3X spicy(love the heat) I’ve become addicted to it , it’s the best in town by far, they serve a good size portion of this dish with white meat chicken and vegetables, quality, service is excellent.
In my opinion the food was cafeteria grade. It seemed like the food came from a steam table rather than being cooked fresh. The fried shrimp was dry as well as the chicken in the orange chicken. My wife rated the food 2 stars. I was disappointed that the ratings on google were 4.5 stars. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.
Tao's is my go-to Chinese restaurant whenever my wife and I visit her parents who live in the area. We love our favorites off of the menu (General Tso's chicken for me, sesame chicken for her) as well as trying new items! We recently had the Singapore chicken noodles and those were fantastic as well. The staff is incredibly friendly and we've never had to wait very long for our orders to come out. We highly recommend stopping by and grabbing some takeout or dining in!
OMG, I love their food. Perfect taste, the staff is super nice.
Delicious and well packaged food for take out, wonderful staff and employees. Love the Mongolian beef so much, really good flavoring. Definitely will come back.
My beef tasted like fish. I couldn't even eat it. Usually have good food here but today's meal was disgusting.
The owner was soooo nice, butt ultimately my friends and I were highly disappointed with the food. I cannot recommend this place at this time.
Such good customer service, ordered right before close and they were so courteous and friendly about it.
Very nice people and the best Chinese food. I go to everytime.
So yummy! Get the drunken noodles!
We have ordered 5 times since moving here 3 months ago. I have to wonder if the chef has something against flavor. The dishes are consistently bland, tasteless and unappetizing. The wonton soup broth tastes and looks like dish water. It difficult to call the hot and sour soup because there was nothing that made it hot and sour. The Pad Thai is watered down with no flavor at all. The only flavor on the Pad Thai was the peanuts - and they were burnt this time. The chicken in the sweet and sour chicken was practically nonexistent, but there was a ton of batter. The batter was burnt this time, as well. The Mongolian beef was equally flavorless, bland and disappointing. The sad part is that this is how the food has been every single time we have ordered. Even if one time had been good then we would think there was potential, but there is clearly not.
Large food portions, bland flavors in all three dishes, great customer service.
The worst Asian food I ever experienced. Bad taste, cold as if it was left over night. An absolute waste of $70 and I tipped for pick up.
very good food and value
I ordered the Mongolian beef which has been my favourite here. But this time it’s the best tasting Mongolian beef. Even their spring roll is better than before. Highly recommended!!!!
Nice people and good price
Great food at an even better price. Portions are extremely generous and the wings have the perfect crispiness and are a good size.
Great Chinese and Thai food. The best I’ve had in north Springs!
The new ownership is both attentive and personable. Food portions were large, even at lunch time. Excellent taste! The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. I will be letting my friends and family know about this hidden treasure.
Nice family place!
The food is delicious and the kitchen is very clean. I must mention they’re also very nice and generous employers. I delivered food for them a while back a d they were always supportive and fair to everyone in the staff.
I’ve tried their sesame tofu and it’s excellent, it’s like home cooked food I love it. My boyfriend loves their spicy beef dishes. Thai tea is on point! Customer service is great.
The best place in the Springs for Chinese food! The food is always served hot, flavorful, and fresh, and the service is excellent—all for a price you can’t beat. I’ve brought many friends to Tao’s and have heard nothing but good reviews. Will definitely continue to dine here!
Dlelicious
Delicious ! We Loved This Place ! Our First Time Here And We've Now Found Our Favorite Restaurant. Our Waitress Was So Friendly And The Cook Came Out To Make Sure We Were Happy With Our Meal (Such A Nice Gentleman). The Food Was Fresh, Flavorful And Delicious. And This Restaurant Is Very Clean.
The chinese restaurante is outstanding. The seasome chicken and Mooshu Beef is really good
Always hot, fresh and seriously tasty. You can sense that the folks at Tao's take serious pride in their product
Excellent food every time. Friendly staff.
It’s hard to find good Chinese food in the Springs and this is the only place that serves good authentic taste.
We also loved their Thai food, they actually taste better than an actual Thai restaurant which is very surprising to us.
So far, we recommend Mongolian beef, Thai red curry, thai basil stir fried dishes and the salt and pepper chicken wings.
My family and I placed a lunch order for delivery and quickly after it arrived we noticed it was the wrong meals, and not to mention very soggy. I called the restaurant to see if they had sent the wrong order as it seemed it had been sitting for awhile, and I was told no, that is what was ordered and regarding the sogginess, it was supposed to be like that. I simply asked if we could be refunded for the wrong meals and the owner offered a replacement but then backtracked and said the replacement nor the refund could be processed. The man I spoke with on the phone, the owner, was being very rude and practically yelling in response to me asking for him to make their mistake right. I ended the phone call and clearly decided I’d never be going back. A few minutes later the owners wife had called back, yelling, that we had no money and we’re lying about the food. Honestly we thought it was a joke at this point and all we could do was laugh as the order was payed for by credit card as soon as it was placed. My mom and brother went to the restaurant to show how improperly the food was prepared and the owners acted very out of line and unprofessional as they yelled and harassed them out of the restaurant about how she hopes my mom and her kids die. This was all on video and quite frankly won’t be taken lightly.
Sesame chicken was very soggy! I wanted hot and crispy chicken and they brought me Kung pao chicken with a ton of celery- vegetables barley any chicken what chicken that was in it was tiny hard pieces! Said it is just like hot and crispy chicken! The wife that answers the phone is very rude, screams at customers for her mistake! I would definitely eat elsewhere!
Not sure about the negative comments but this was some of the best oriental food I've had in a while. Full of flavor, Crisp veggies, crispy chicken, and great serving sizes. Did a takeout order and it was great. Would definitely order from here again.
I had been searching for the best Chinese food in town and finally found it! I have been coming to Tao’s for a long time and have always received the best customer service and delicious Chinese food.
I don’t understand the bad reviews of this restaurant because I have always had a positive experience here. The people who own this restaurant are so kind and always grateful for your business.
If you’re looking for quality Chinese food, great customer service, and a positive atmosphere, I’d definitely give this place a try!
Needs a little spice, but otherwise very good.
All the standard Chinese fare made with very good quality. They do take out but are also open for dining in. The somewhat out of the way location means it's usually not very busy but if you're in the area and desire Chinese food, you should definitely give it a try.
Nice atmosphere and attentive staff !! Must try
Food had no flavor. Ordered two entrees and both were bland. Egg rolls we’re good though.
Ordered takeout for our family of 4 and was ready in 15 minutes! Super great customer service while ordering over the phone and at pickup! Food was all hot and fresh. No complaints!
Food was very good but a a little pricey
Really yummy. Large portions
Great service and the food was really tasty. We loved the various types of food choices, like Singapore noodles, Mongolian beef, Thai basil with chicken. I asked the hostess and she recommended some options and we were pleased.
There food was delicious
Nice people, and got a lot of Kung pao veggies for my money
Great food and even better service! Waitress made our family feel very welcome and food tasted great.
This was my family’s favorite Chinese restaurant in the Springs. We were so excited to find it about a year ago and loved everything we had. Then a couple months back we ordered takeout and our food had no flavor. It’s was the most bland Chinese food I’ve ever had. I called and asked about them just remaking the sauce so we could add that to try to improve it. They agreed, I went in to pick it up and they had also remade my whole order. This effort is why they get 2 stars rather than 1. While there I was explaining the issue again and was told that it was probably because the new owners changed all of the recipes. So we haven’t been back.
PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD RECIPES!
This place was closed for a few months and is reopened under new ownership. The food was very good! The service was awesome and they gave us massive servings.
This used to be my go-to for oriental food for years, especially the Pad Thai. However, since the change in ownership, I'm less than impressed. The Pad Thai tasted bland with little to no peanut flavor. The appetizers are good, but the main dishes really lacked distinct flavor. I may give it one more chance, but I'm not holding my breath. :(
Outstsnding food fast service!
Good, affordable Chinese cuisine and friendly, polite, service. I would eat here again.
Veg eggrolls were good. Had the green curry, and as stated in other reviews here, was watery; I do not recommend it. My date said shrimp fried rice (looked oily) and egg drop soup was good.
Amazing menu selection that never disappoints!
Food was ready quick, everything was balanced flavor and tasted great :)
Clean restaurant, extremely friendly staff, definitely will visit again.
Totally disappointed with the food. Ordered kung pao and pad thai chicken for to go. As soon as I opened the box after reaching home, the food is smelling so bad as if it’s spoiled. All the food went to trash immediately. Not worth giving it a try another time.
Best orange chicken I’ve found so far in town. Everything is always warm and fresh. The people here are always so friendly and welcoming. Thanks for being awesome guys.
Some of the best Chinese and Thai food in Colorado Springs. Nice staff. Delivery.
The food arrived sooner than expected ....what a disappointment $87.00 for less than mediocre food plus $5.00 tip, not delivery guys fault. Food was mushy and reheated from yesterday or lunch ,pad tai and signapoor rice was off color, curry's were watered down. GEN Tao mushy, Broccoli Beef vegetables raw. Yuck yuck yuck
AWESOME for and service. We actually drive in from Peyton CO to enjoy the great taste from Tao's.
Very good food and nice service, I got it to go and it was brought out to me. Will definitely be going again hopefully to dine in
The food was amazing. Ordered different meals for the entire. Everyone enjoyed. The service was quick! Estimated my food would arrive in about an hour and to my surprise it was here in 30 minutes!!! Also a plus they deliver until they close. Highly recommend and I will be coming back.
We have ordered food from this restaurant the past few years and it has been excellent! The last two months the food has been mediocre. We ordered spicy and very spicy and the food had no taste. In fact, it tasted like it had been reheated more than once and the appetizer tasted like it had been fried yesterday and then again today. I understand that there is a pandemic, but haven’t experienced anything like this at any other restaurant. Truly disappointed.
After 2 hours and multiple phone calls, we finally got our food — with no rice. The food was mediocre. We will unfortunately not be ordering from here again.
Best Asian place in the neighborhood
GREAT FOO
Hands down the best in town
The chicken was the absolute worst chicken I have ever had. All gristle and the texture was as if it was microwaved. I was very dissatisfied. I had the red curry and the flavor was great but it could have used more vegetables. Won't be ordering from here again.
Very good experience with takeout today. The quality of ingredients was high and the meals were well done. Very nice staff. Highly recommend!
Great local place with super friendly staff who always seems to remember remember repeat customers :). Definitely goes out of the way to let you make your order just the way you like it (lots of different spice, protein and starch options)
We have been looking for Asian Cuisine that we can truly enjoy to have delivered and we have found it! Tao's was excellent and reasonable. No more searching!
Nice place, very comfortable
Food is great, online ordering is easy, and picking up is a breeze. They were open for xmas, which I really appreciated!
Always love a delicious quick lunch at Tao's. Highly recommended.
Nice staff, different food options, meals come with a choice of soup: hot&sour or wonton
I ordered the shrimp and fried rice and liked it. Not much waiting after we ordered as I needed back to work soon.
The price is very reasonable, two meals cost around $16
Great prices and they deliver. I enjoy the food especially the soup.
Changed from 3 to 5 stars as I work the menu. They just get better. It's in my hood so I've been eating there often. They deliver as well and it's always hot and soon.
Get the Happy Family lunch special. It’s amazing!!
Always great service and food.
Amazing
Excellent Chinese food, the portions are big enough for 2, so be careful how much you order 😆
Excellent food. Delivery was on time and as ordered. Online ordering process is smooth and easy.
Awesome food. Really friendly staff.
Food was okay
Our server was just precious and super attentive to keeping our drinks filled! Food was great!! Would definitely recommend!
Great pineapple chicken and service.
The food was so delicious.
it's so good man
One of the few open establishments in this declining Mall. Atmosphere not particularly inspiring but the service was excellent and we both enjoyed each of our Cuisine choices. Probably won't return since it's a long drive from downtown.
Quaint little lunch spot with good food and prices
We've lived in denver for 24 years and have eaten at most of the established asian restaurants. From the Empress and Star Market and Twin Dragons to P.F. Chang's, and many small local places. Because our son returned to the springs recently, we took him and his fiance to Tao's, after researching places on line.
We have never had a better meal than here. The walnut shrimp was great- far better than our old favorite P.F. Changs. The Thai dishes were superb. And we grew up eating asian food in new York City and lived in both SF and LA.
This is the first restaurant review I've ever written. And I'm 74.
My son said it was the best Hot and Sour soup that he's had and he liked the sesame chicken as well.
Got our food to go. It was still hot when we got home. The spicy soup was the best I’ve had. The rice was perfect and the dishes were absolutely delicious! Great price
I've lived here almost 2 years... it took me about a year to find this place at a neighbors recommendation cause we tried two other Chinese places and it was just not good. The food is so good and delivery service is great!
The food's really really nice. Shout out to Titus the bartender, really nice cocktails.
Fresh, crispy veggies. Omnomnomnom...
Ordered delivery for the first time. Some of the best tasting Chinese food I have ever had. I will definitely order from here again.
Amazing food
Good food
I actually love this place. Great soup nice and peaceful place with decent prices.
Just found this place. A little gem of a eatery I will definitely come here again
Best in the Springs.
Really good Chinese food served with a soup and egg roll. Lunch portion is huge so be prepared to take home another dinner. Service is good and the waitress checks all the table so there isn't a dry glass in the house. I had the cashew nuts chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Tao's is off the beaten path but we'll worth the journey. Enjoy the feast.
Fried rice and chow fun were great. Probably best for takeout
Great food
Small and cozy Asian dining establishment. All the classic ameri-chinese food you enjoy, and at very reasonable prices.
Update: After living away from Colorado Springs for a while, I've come to appreciate the consistently tasty dishes at Taos after tasting what passes for Chinese elsewhere. The price is right, especially for lunch, I seriously can't recommend them enough if you just need quality take out.
First time I’ve ordered from this Chinese restaurant and it took over an hour to get here. Which is fine, but once it arrive I was super dissapointed. The food was hot but absolutely disgusting! I’ve never had such terrible Chinese food in my life. The combination lo Mein was a super weird color and all the meat tasted funny. The Kung pao chicken tasted like no other Kung pao I’ve had, that was also terrible. And the sesame chicken was literally a big ball of mush. All the breading on the chicken was stuck and mooshed to each other, not even edible. THE RICE IS EVEN HARD! So I called and was very polite about the food. The manager talked to the owner and they said their food is fresh and that’s just how it is. So if you like your Chinese food like this I would order here! BLEHHHH!!! ZERO STARS!! Only put one star because I had to inorder to post this review!
Pretty good, kind of a long wait
Awesome food & reasonable prices. For carry out lunch, I have been receiving both an egg roll & a cheese wanton w/ a good portion of soup.
If I could do no stars I would. After ordering off their website it stated it would get there at 5:51 PM. After waiting after 6 PM to call. They stated they were short staffed and the driver left with my food and should be there shortly, 6:51 rolls around and still nothing.. I call them back expecting to receive a refund or even a discount for it not being there and they couldn't even find my order.... they then told me they would re make it and send it right over. I was at work at couldn't leave. Well 8:15 I call and they were waiting for their driver to come and pick food up and bring it to me. My work was closed and I told them I would just come get it. No apologies when i came and got it and waited over 2 hours to get food... very sad when I have ordered from this place numerous times...
