Craving authentic Thai flavors that will tantalize your taste buds? Look no further than Spicy 9 Thai! We offer a wide variety of traditional Thai dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and bursting with bold spices. ️
We ordered from them on Christmas Eve. When other restaurants were a total cluster with multi-hour waits, this place was efficient and helpful. We got the basil stir fry with shrimp which was awesome, the drunken noodles, and green carry. All of those were fantastic. Mixed reviews on the Pad Thai.
All items delicious! Thai ice tea refreshing well balanced, not too sweet. Green Tea salad robust exciting spices, great crunch of both dry spiced nuts and seeds and juicy veggies. Pra Ram chicken incredible sauce, perfect heat, spices and proportion of ingredients, veggies and protein. Friendly take out clerk. Absolutely returning!
The Pad Thai was delicious! we loved our whole order. the Panang Curry could have used some more chicken, but the taste was great. we will be ordering again.
OMG. A hidden gem. A two man operation with perfect food and spice!
The crab fried rice and pad Thai were excellent. Good Thai tea.
Honestly, I don't know why they don't have more people coming by! Food is amazing! they are pretty quick as well! Sweet people working there I don't really eat spicy but if you want something with a kick, they have it! My sister put me on this place and I don't have any complaints.
I brought my family here for an early dinner and wanted to find a gem in Denver’s not-very-diverse restaurant selection. Spicy 9 Thai is a quaint restaurant attached to an Asian grocer with limited indoor seating, clean restrooms, and fast service. Their menu has great variety and we ordered something different for everyone. The portion sizes were fine, just a bit larger than a one-person serving for the entrees. The curry was a lot more like soup than we are used to; their mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea were both excellent desserts though the Thai iced tea still had more ice than we’d like. Overall, flavors are there as the difference between authentic and spicy 9 Thai is limited to just a few dishes. Would dine here again.
To almost an HOUR to complete a take-out order I preordered. I watched multiple people come and go as well. I only ordered chicken pad Thai, whon tons, and fried rice. Ridiculous. I'm normally never one to complain. Will not be back and not worth the price.
I have never written a bad review until now. And I also never had the worst Thai food until now. The tom yum seafood soup was way too sour. It did not taste anything like tom yum and it was way too spicy for being medium. The Lao papaya salad was too bland. The papaya was bitter and had no flavor. The larb beef was way too sour and the yum woon had too much onion.
I’ve been here multiple times for take out and have been completely satisfied with my orders. I’ve had the BBQ pork with egg noodle and the khao mun kai crispy. Both dishes were served at the perfect spice level and were delicious. Take out timing estimates are spot on as well.
Have been coming here for years now & it’s always as satisfying as the first time!!

Ordered the Pad Thai and crab cheese wontons and I literally couldn't eat it.

This place is a hidden gem in a small strip center. Try the tom kha soup with chicken. It's delicious and filled with chicken. The pad see ew was also seasoned well and the noodles cooked perfectly. I will definitely return.
Food was absolutely inedible. It tasted like someone was smoking a cigarette over the dish while they were cooking. Will never eat here again

Authentic Thai food, would return.
This is the worst thai food I’ve ever had. I ordered Larv chicken and it was extremely salty and they gave me little pieces of shopped cabbage instead of lettuce. The cucumber salad was terrible. I asked for a Thai iced coffee with half of the sweetener and they gave me more sweetener than usual. I will never eat here again.
Muy rico la comida preparada al momento
Man helping us was very nice. Food came out fast and was very good. Very filling and get a lot for your money. Deserves more business, maybe I came at a slow time. I would eat here a lot if I lived here.
Wonderful people and great food!!
Locked the doors in the middle of They're ours. Enjoy your one star douche bags
Curry delicious and drunken noodles yummy
My heiferfriend requested some food to be vegan and, while there was fish sauce in her first dish, it was only because the person making the food didn't understand exactly what she was asking for. She called and swung by for another meal before running in to work and told me it was up to vegan code and I have a lot of respect for how the gentleman at spicy 9 thai handled it!
Not to mention the food is delicious as hell and the portions are too big for my four stomachs. You really get some bang for your buck here!
Took money never received food
Called to ask for their New Years Eve hours and the guy slammed the phone onto the cradle and hung up.
I am HIGHLY disappointed and I should have read the reviews 1st I but I was extremely hungry and I still am. I ordered Drunken Noodles. This is what I was delivered. This Flavorless Meal with Black Pepper on Top. I asked for Mild Double chicken and Absolutely Hated it. The sticky rice came from a rice cooker. And I won’t be doubling back. $22.34 down the Drain.
I ordered take out and the food was delicious! The staff was kind and friendly. Yummy, thank you! ขอบคุณ

Horrible place took forever for uber eats to come with no utensils at all food is cold at highly recommend going somewhere else dont bother
Delicious. Hidden gem
Not impressed. Food was average. Got the order wrong. Waiter didn’t want to be there or serve us. There were two tables to sit at inside. Not spicy at all and I got the hottest level.
I didn’t want to give any star. But had to so I can write my experience today. My ordered to go was awful! The foods were not how it should look it tasted! The papaya salad was made with can beans not fresh papaya and it looked like a bad pad thai not papaya salad. The sticky rice’s smells like it was cooked in burnt pot steamer. Was disappointed! The foods not good!
The worst Thai food I've ever eaten. Salty as heck, gloppy, little flavor. Expensive. Guy at the desk hated me, hated life, probably hated himself. Fully earned -- I'd have to be worse than drunk to eat this again.
I'm sure the restaurant is nice, never eaten there. I went to pick up an order with my fiance from this restraint and a man walked up to our car and threatened to kill us over doordashing. Please be safe.
Dine in or carry out- amazing local Thai food
Used to be much better, now it’s kinda mediocre. Also not the most authentic flavors. Last time I ordered here I got the satay chicken and they put some kind of teriyaki sauce it. Who puts teriyaki on satay?!
Fast, tasty food and friendly service!
When they tell you is spicy, you better believe it
a little too expensive i would say, compare to other places.
The phad thai was chewy in a bad way. There was a piece of plastic in my food. The waiter was kind and attentive.
Great food!
I love Thai food. Chicken Phad Thai to be specific. Decided to try somewhere new. I was definitely not impressed. The Chicken Phad Thai had a tomato based sauce. I've never had it that way and absolutely did not care for it. We also had crab wontons. Also not impressed. They were definitely not light and airy like others I have had. You could taste the crab though. It was a giid effort but we won't be back.
This place used to be my go to for thai, but has sadly went downhill. I always get the green curry and I got it a few days ago and it was disgusting- way hotter than usual for being mild, which I could deal with, but the flavor was sooo salty and just not what green curry should taste like...my roommate also got Thai hot pad Thai and it was not hot at all. Huge disappointment as it was a big order and all quite mediocre or bad. Won't be coming back.
Small family place. good food
We used to order from here semi-regularly and enjoyed the food. Something must have changed in the last few months (new cook?, new management) because the food is different.
Everything was extremely salty and the flavor was off, did not have the same seasonings as in the past. Food was hot and good-sized portions, but this place is sadly no longer as tasty as it used to be.
I ordered crab cheese wontons and chicken green curry last night at this restaurant. Not a bad little neighborhood eating place although parking was an issue. When I got home and filled a bowl with rice and curry, the smell almost made me vomit! Something in the curry was rotten! It was so nasty I didn’t eat a bite. I’ve never seen canned green beans in green curry before, either. I was so disappointed as I am a low-income senior who rarely has money to eat out but I got a gift card for Christmas and treated myself.
Our experience here wasn't good.
Noodles were really chewy and clumped together, mango sticky rice was almost flavorless and again, very bad texture.
We love supporting local small businesses, but I can't recommend this place.
2 stars because the spicy level is on point. Otherwise definitely 1 star food.
This is my first and will be my last time here. Very disappointing. If the rice is bad, you can guarantee the rest of the food is 👎. The sticky rice, chicken satay and sausage was old, dry and hard. The chicken larb which should be a salad was a soup instead. I ended up throwing it all away
Really good food - pad see ew was bomb! Great find while visiting for business. Near the VA and children's hospitals.
Live in Thailand for 3 years Chiang Mai , Phuket , patia , what they refer to as Thai food was disgusting.... I gave one star but that was too much 😵
This was great. Really good Thai food. My only complaint would be that maybe it's too Thai? I'm used to getting pad see lew from Asian places with beef and it not being spicy. They didn't have beef available, and chicken isn't quite the same, and getting it from a Thai specialty place meant getting medium spice was a completely different taste than I'm used to.
Yeah though, we'll order again.
Delicious Thai food. It’s close to my house and it’s a great walk-n-dine sometimes
Great little hole in the wall restaurant. We're not local to Aurora. The restaurant was clean, the people were super friendly. Even the cook spoke with us and made sure our food was good. It was delicious and very filling. My husband and I both had Pad Thai, he has hot with tofu and I had medium with chicken. We both enjoyed our meals very much.
Food hasn't tasted the same since they remodeled. Please change back to whatever you were doing before the remodel. You were my favorite.
The food was really good. I got drunken noodles, Thai hot... it wasn't as hot as I thought it would be, might ask for it extra thai hot next time; but it did make my nose start to run a little. The chicken in the noodles was a bit dry, maybe next time I'll splurge for the beef. The cheese wonton were also good. I got the banana appetizer too. Never had it anywhere else before so nothing to compare it to, but I didn't like that. Again... never had it so it was probably me but banana in an egg roll wrapper was not my thing. I saw fried banana and thought more like plantains. All together a decent meal. Place was clean. I ordered online and picked up... good timing and friendly service. I did have to wait a few minutes as my food was finished but they were in the back and must not of heard me come in... would recommend a door chime.
Experience and not so good.
This is the best Thai food that I've had since I lived in Thailand. Everything was delicious and authentic, and didn't sit heavy after like a lot of Thai places in the US. The desserts were amazing (coconut jelly and mango sticky rice).
Nice place good food
The food used to be really good. But now it’s very disappointing. Won’t come back again. The dishes are very salty. Pad Thai is red and sweet. The Salad is very small.
Reviews are MISSLEADING. NO SILVERWARE. CRAB WONTONS un-eatable. Pad Thai sad. Never again .
Great food. Would recommend and come back for sure. Pad see ewe was on point.
Very disappointed in our experience here. We regularly eat Thai food, and were excited to try this new place. We ordered the green curry as takeout, which smelled and tasted rotten. We also ordered two noodle dishes, the pad Thai which tasted like nothing but black pepper and fish sauce, and the drunken noodles had tofu that tasted like rotten soy sauce. It honestly made us nauseous. We felt really bad, but it wasn’t edible at all, so we ended up taking it back to the restaurant. When we got there, the hostess refused to admit anything was wrong with the food, and even had the chef try the food in front of us. He insisted the food tasted fine, even though we kept telling them that we were sorry, we just couldn’t eat it and would like a refund. The hostess became very defensive continually invalidated us, even asking if we had ever had Thai food and just didn’t know what it was supposed to taste like. After going back and forth for a while, she finally gave us only half a refund, even though we had only had a bite of each dish, and did not offer to remake the food. Essentially, they stole half of what we paid for the meal. Overall, don’t come here unless you want rotten food and bad customer service.
Update to my previous review:
“I’m so happy I finally found a restaurant that has phenomenal Pad Thai. 10/10 highly recommend.”
As of late the Pad Thais have been pretty terrible. Along with other menu items. No flavor and not as fresh as it used to be. Not sure what happened here recently. New cooks? New owners? I’m disappointed I lost my favorite Pad Thai joint.
friendly service and medium vegetable pad thai woon see was good
Todo es muy riko
Best Tom Yum I've ever had. (Thai hot)
NOT OPEN. Under construction. CHANGE YOUR GOOGLE STATUS.
Perhaps if they would answer their phone I would place an order. Sometimes there are questions about dishes upon ordering. Shameful, because I'm sure they're quite good. What's so hard about picking up the phone? You are a restaurant after all.
Super tasty pad se ew! And their cream cheese wontons are absolutely great. I'm happy to have found a place that offers both the cream cheese and the crab cream cheese. Definitely recommend them
What a great find. The most perfect Thai food in the area. Charming and wonderful wait staff. A must eat at place. Now that the secret's out I hope I can still get a table, LOL.
Was offered extra soapy wash for pan to prepare my "gluten free" curry, when I asked about prep practices for menu items marked Gluten Free. At least one menu item marked GF had "fried wonton strips" as topping.
Celiacs: order with caution, might want to ask for clean prep surfaces/pans.
As other reviews said - not much combined/layered flavor under the spice level.
OK SO THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Placed an order short notice and can say I will be back pad Thai was nice and spicy. THANK YOU
Amazing khao man gai
Update : either quality or ownership had changed. Pretty sure the people working aren't thai so it loses its authenticity automatically
Excellent food and nice staff. Excelente comida y nos trataron de maravilla. Buenos precios.
Didn't love the way the pad thai tasted nor the pad ginger chicken dish. All a bit yucky.
Really enjoyed our takeaway. RJ was lovely. The Thai basil chicken, the appetizer sausage and the tofu pad thai, were all yummy!
This place had some good flavors. I ordered the massaman Curry. It was flavorful, however the potatoes were not cooked all the way leaving some of them to be crunchy, not soft and cooked though. The drunken noodles were ok too but it doesnt have a fire flavor.. cooked from a wok, possibly only pan cooked. It's good but some things do need some work
Was excited to try this place on my dinner break seeing the reviews made me somewhat excited but was underwhelming overall. Had a medium chicken pad Thai and although it was plated nicely and had a nice spicy kick, the chicken and noodles were not seasoned and tasted very bland. Was a good portion size but I also didn't get any eating utensils or napkins. For around $14 I would expect more. I would look elsewhere for pad Thai.
Friendly staff, very courteous. However, the food wasn't very good. I had chicken Pad Thai and drunken noodle. The pad Thai was dry, the chicken was chewy and the dish didn't have much flavor. The combination drunken noodle was mostly beef which was very dry, chewy and grayish. I don't think I would order from here again.
Regular thai food, nothing to rave about. Maybe it is better than taking fast food.
Delicious and great service
I could give this place 10 stars... It's just amazing and super friendly, if you're on the way or coming from the airport this is the right place.
Great food , great service ,so delicious will be back again
Randomly found this restaurant and am glad I stopped by. The flavors taste authentic; if you order spicy, the food will be nice and spicy. The restaurant was clean with friendly service. I'll have to go back to try more items off the menu.
The Panang curry and Tom Yum are amazing! The staff's really friendly. Excellent service!
Excellent customer service plus delicious food. You cant go wrong 😋
Solid food choices. Everything I've tried has been so tasty. The salmon with red curry was amazing, crispy but moist at the same time. The tom yum soup choices are light, fresh and delicious. The pad see ew is not a typical dish that I've tried at other places (spicy 9 doesn't use dark soy sauce) but it was still so yummy.
The 1st and 2nd time I ordered here was amazing. The food was great. The 3rd time I don't know if it was the regular cooks day off or what but it was a totally different experience. The Pra Ram was just chicken and broccoli with peanut butter not sauce. There was no flavor aside from peanut butter. No depth. Ordered fried rice and got steamed rice with the other ingredients on the side. It was like the 1st time grandma cooked with love and experience and then someone who just grazed a recipe took over for her. Consistency please
Super friendly group of folks and the food is great. Their medium level spice is SPICY 🥵!
Great local place with great curry.
what a gem. a nice walk after transit 15 then 5 blocks on Nome and tucked to the right. excellent Thai cuisine and run well by the owners. Get your Groupon on with 30% off already great prices.
I order out here all the time. Good fried rice and pad thai. I highly recommend.
Ordered 9 Thai wings (6) only received 5. Ordered a Chicken Breast Dish and they tried to pass off a thigh (still had bone in it) as a breast. Heard them say prices have gone up but, please be honest on menu. Food was otherwise very tasty.
Best Thai restaurant in town . I'll be back .
Amazing food and very authentically Thai. I get Shrimp Pad Thai every time with Thai Tea and Mango Sticky Rice. Super good!!!
Highly recommend this restaurant!
Looking for some home made Thai meals? You’ll find in Spicy 9 Thai not only the flavor but the quality.
The food here is just amazing, simply delicious!
The food is incredible, I order a Papaya salad and a Pad See Ew and it was amazing. If you are in Aurora area you must go there if you want real Thai Food!
The papaya salad was so fresh and delish. I loved the ginger rice!
I went for lunch. They have a lot of good options for food, the price is ok. The soup although I asked for not so spicy was extremely spicy, I ate about 1/3 of it. The worst part was seeing a roach on the table while we were eating. The staff apologized, picked it up with their hand and tossed it outside. We were given free teas as an apology and although I appreciate it, I'm grossed out and don't plan to return. Also the tea was made with regular milk and didn't settle well.
Great food, but two roaches crawled across table and i feel that speaks on the cleanliness of the place. So Disgusted right now. Its sad because food is solid.
Friendly staff and delicious food. Also, they bring the heat.
Ordered four dishes, each were beautiful and delicious.
Tasty food but not totally traditional ingredients in some of them. Fast service.
They made us wait 1 hour for one pick up order that they said will take 20 minutes.
Always a great takeout experience
Food was outstanding. Very flavorful and tasty. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful as well. I might be spending all my money going to this place!
Food was delicious and different spice level options makes it customizable.
Is my first and is good
Been to a few Thai places around town. You know the kind, mostly made to a westerners palate with a massive price tag and small portions, its cool tho....Almost ended up going to the usual but YOLO'd this spot. Walk in to a few of the Thai locals chattin' up the staff, got a whiff of my trip to Thailand circa 2005 and I knew at that moment that I had stepped into a holy temple of flavor. I will no longer be triflin' with other spots. This has set the bar in my quest for delicious Thai as of now until another challenger reveals its self unto me.
Its pretty good. Not the best I have had in Denver metro but if you live close solid spot
I've had their chicken panag and it's amazing!
I got the medium spicy level. They definitely own up to their name! I'm getting mild next time! Lol xD
I would go back and try out their other dishes! :D
Rating: A
After traveling for quite some time around Thailand, I can be a little picky when it comes to Thai food here in the US. I can say that this food was amazing! Best Thai food that I have had in Denver! Would recommend to anyone and will absolutely be using Spicy 9 Thai as my go to spot in the future.
Very good food and Boba. Remodel looks great. Friendly staff. Highly recommend giving them a try.
Best Thai food in Denver! The crab fried rice and bbq pork with egg noodles are phenomenal! Service is amazing! Be sure to tip them good! 😋
Very good food and very very nice staff!
Chicken pad thai is some good good <3
I'm not sure what happened to this place. It used to be very good. I always order my food Thai hot, and today it was about as hot as the Pad Thai at Noodles and Co.
Good food and great service!! Will be stoping by to reload on the next adventure to Colorado 😀
very good that food
The food was excellent and so was the customer service. I will definitely go back again! Parking is minimal and the restaurant is easy to miss but once you find it and taste the food, you'll be glad you made the effort.
Bubble tea is insanely terrible 🤮
Quick lunch. No problem getting a seat. Ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) with pork. Five or so minutes later, dish was brought out. Good presentation and flavors. Generous portions too. Did order slightly less than Thai hot but dish was quite mild. Where's the heat? Friendly employees. Definitely worth a return trip.
Amazing spot!!
Best pad thai ever!!!! Glad I stopped here on the way
Good food but the portions are small. Lots of filler. And in takeout they always package the rice and meat together making the rice soggy and soaked by the time it gets home.
Best panang and drunken noodles we've ever had. We will definitely be back to try more dishes.
Very good food
Excellent thai food and quick service 👌🏼
Really lacking customer service, went in to have a bite but left extremely disappointed not with the food just with people working pretty much lost my appetite. We had three orders, one for me one for my friend and another for my brother at home. Made it clear to them three soups one seafood and two pork noodle soups one was take out for my brother. But maybe he got it mixed up but he brought all three soups to our table, when I said oh one was take out only two for here he kind of garaged and put the two down, both were pork didn’t get my seafood one. I asked why I didn’t get my seafood one because the one to go was pork too. They did fix that and put seafood in mine but when it was time to pay they gave me the two noodle soups but I only ordered 3 he said because there was a mistake he put both of them in the bag to go and changed me for 4 orders which there was but it was their fault. They couldn’t get the order right 3 times. I payed for it and left with the two pork noodle soup.
Definitely not sitting down and eating there anymore. (Changed to 3 star because the food was great, service needs help)
Panang Curry!🔥🔥🔥🧯
Easily the best Thai in the city. It’s like having your mom cook for you there and care about every bite that you take.
Cannot recommend enough! Everything is incredible. Clean restaurant, amazing service, and the food tastes like a home cooked meal. Perfectly spiced and nothing was overly sweet.
Good Customer service and the food was delicious!!!👍
Great little place with some amazing food. Judging from the outside I wasn't expecting much since there was some construction nearby that kinda threw the aura off. The food was top notch and nice and spicy. I got thai hot but I still think they tamed it down a little but the food was solid. Would go again.
I had a groupon and decided to try this.place out. It was delicious! Service is fantastic
The food was amazing!!! Great quality and amazing flavor!!! Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Colorado!
The best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been, the best staff and the service is above and beyond 🙏thank you so much being nice to customers and making life’s delicious 🤤
Delicious food and out standing service. We called on our way to the airport and the owner was so helpful and accommodating. Ordered their green curry, fried rice, drunken noodles and spring rolls and it was all delicious. Highly recommend!
Tasty quality food. Quantity is also good. To go Package was excellent. Love this Restaurant
This little place is one of my favorites!! Their food has always been very good and consistent, but they’ve really stepped it up recently in terms of portion size and presentation. You get a lot of food for a fair price. My favorite is their pad Thai, and they always deliver on the spiciness. Their Thai Hot level is A+ if you’re craving some heat. Keep it up guys!
