Family-run eatery preparing classic soups, curries & stir-fries in a chic space with booths & a bar.
Bua is beautiful inside and the staff is so friendly! What a nice dinner on a cold snowy Colorado night. The beef pad see ew is PERFECT, like truly fantastic, I just wish it came in a 9×13 tray so I could eat just this for a week straight lol. The chicken satay was nice too. Really warm and inviting space you should definitely come check out for local Thai food.
Had the panang curry, it was just ok, cant really recommend it. It was Super spicy even though only asked for mild 1-6 asked for a 2.
Ive have panang curry many times and spicy many times at other Thai restaurants. This one was not good. Had the combination (chicken, pork, beef, shrimp). They used mostly chicken and 2 shrimp, that is crazy. Paying $18.95 before taxes and only getting 2 shrimps.
Dinner portion was big, but not enough rice.
Cant really recommend this restaurant.
My partner and I shared a lovely meal here today. We had the Beef Pad Prik King, the Bangkok Duck, and some egg fried rice. The service was excellent. Our only complaint is that the beef was tough and over cooked as was the duck in places. We are looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes as the menu here is quite impressive with lots of options we haven't seen in other thai resteraunts. Thank you for the delicious meal!
Brought a friend here for dinner last week. Loved how spacious the restaurant is and the servers are friendly and attentive. They have an extensive menu with many delicious dishes. Love that they allow to control the level of spicy for most of their dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the Yum Woon Sen and the Drunken Noodles. Great food and service.
Visited with my wife for Valentine's Day and our anniversary. The food was great , with good portions and a pretty quiet atmosphere . Nice place for a date night, too . 1-6 spice scale is no joke , if you're not used to a lot of spice It may be good to start with a 2. Will be definitely visiting again.
Everything tasted great and they give you enough for two meals if not 3. Tom yum had some veggies I wasn't used to but the flavor was there. They were out of boba but the Thai tea was on point. They were accommodating for my picky eater even though my picky eater still didn't eat. We ordered the hot spice level but feel like we could go higher in heat level and still enjoy the food.
Me and my husband went for Dinner, food was good, but the service was terrible. Never come back .
Food was so good but service was so terrible.
We have been here several times, and loved it every time. Family atmosphere, bustling, but quiet enough to carry on conversation. The food is soooo good!!! Be careful to ask about spice levels. They are for real!!
My boyfriend & I came here last night cause a friend recommended this place was good. I ordered the Spicy Noodles with Duck. I received maybe half noodles & half vegetables. No duck. The photos show my plate with mainly just vegetables. Thick cut vegetables. My boyfriend ordered the PORK Pad Thai & they came out with CHICKEN Pad Thai. We asked our server the spicy levels & she said 3 starts the spicy. It was a 1 out of 6 option. I chose 3, my boyfriend chose 2. He only said 2 cause she said it was not spicy. He gets his meal & the spicy level is like 6. What makes matter worse they have this “restaurant policy” placed everywhere. Making sure that even if you don’t like the spicy level, they’ll do nothing about it. Even though WE ASKED the spicy levels… So not only is 2 so spicy, but I also had to pay for extra duck, which I did not receive. I wouldn’t come back. They do offer military discounts, but I just used the discount as a tip.
Best Pad Thai in town! I can only handle spicy level 3 but it's real good.

Hello, me and hubby went for lunch at Bua Thai. We ordered pineapple chicken fried rice. However, it was served without pineapple and cold. We have to ask server about it. She took back into kitchen and brought it back with pineapple, again cold. The bill was served with 18% gratuity already added in it. When asked about itt, she made a face and said “Indian people doesn’t give tip. So my manager asked to add it in a bill”. When asked for a manager, she said he is not in. What a RACIST comment. This is the last time we will be visiting Bua Thai.
Some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten and that is no exaggeration.
Great Thai food ! One of the best in Colorado! Highly recommend
The Pad Thai was unbelievably spicy. I asked for no spice and it was so spicy that even those in my family that are accustomed to spice could not handle it or eat it. When I asked for a refund, they required that I brought the food back to show them (I ordered to go). I assume this is so they know I didn’t eat it. Never in my life have I had a restaurant do this. I also found WOOD in my mango sticky rice. It was a piece of (I think) the mat that they roll/shape the rice on but it cut my mouth. The food flavor itself was subpar and not worth the price. Overall I am very disappointed with the experience I had here. Photo of the wood is attached with my finger for scale.
Food was so delicious but service was so terrible. I will never come back.
They expect to be tipped while on their phones and no service. Very rude service since the change in management/ownership. We went last night, servers didn’t come a single time to the table. We had to wave them down for to-go boxes. Both were just on their phones. Additionally, I input the wrong tip so she cancelled the transaction and asked how much I was trying to leave, I go off percentage so I said 13. But this time she did it for me and asked for my card. Miscommunication on my end however she put $13 for an order of $57 which is 22% tip. I noticed after we got home and called just now to have them correct it. She spoke over me nonstop and was so upset saying it wasn’t her fault. I personally wasn’t blaming anyone and just wanted it corrected because I’m not going to leave a 22% tip when they didn’t come once! Not even for water refills. She continued to speak over me, so I told her to just refund the tip. The NERVE of her to say “Maybe next time get it to go, it’s done.” She said some other snarky remark before I hung up. But wow, I was shocked.

Took my daughter for lunch service was so bad asked for a booth she got upset because she had to wipe it down to spite us she made us wait very unprofessional had such a poor attitude will never come back here again thanks but no thanks so many better spots.
Food took forever to come out. When it did it was not good.
Food was just okay and the service was pretty bad. Plus their Google page says they have alcohol and beer and they do not - they have nothing but soda, water, and Thai iced coffee. There are so many better places around.
Food was fresh and full of flavor and we got here in time for the lunch special as 11-3 can’t get a better deal for 12.50$ I had the beef drunken noodles it came with a soup as well I’ll be back soon
Food was good, however the service was terrible. The waitress was not patient at all, every question we had she answered with an annoyed look. We asked for a side of fried of rice and tried to confirm about 3 times that we just wanted a side, she kept saying, “yes a side of fried rice” and ended up bringing us a whole plate of fried rice. When the check came it didn’t show each plate individually just the over all price for everything I tried to ask for the receipt showing each plate and price and once again she just brought the check showing the overall price. She just made my family and I feel uncomfortable the throughout the whole process.
I deem myself a Thai Tea connoisseur and i have to say that this place has hands down the best Thai Tea I've ever had!!! Wish I could make it that good! Scrump.
Delicious food and great atmosphere!
Panang curry was just okay. They use low quality tofu, I paid extra for “extra veggies” and got barely 1/4 cup of veggies added. The take out containers must be the cheapest available, so flimsy almost spilled the curry all over myself. Seems like they are trying to squeeze every penny out of each detail, without adding any love
Had the panang curry, it was just ok, cant really recommend it. It was Super spicy even though only asked for mild 1-6 asked for a 2.

I really like the food and atmosphere but service was lacking
This place is hot and cold for me as far as food/service goes. Sometimes, I get someone who is nice as a server but usually, I get someone who is rude. The food is fairly inconsistent as well. I've been here more than a couple times and each time I leave, I understand why I don't come back here that often.
Messed up my entree order twice but other than that the flavors were still pretty good. The Pad Thai sauce on the woon sen was very nicely balanced and the overall pricing is great.
I love Bua Thai cause the food is good. It is very disappointing that whenever I order online, the spice level is consistently 1 when I ask for 5. It's annoying to recook the food with more spice everytime I order food. I wish there was more reliability for online and by phone orders.
Great food.. good service.
Stoped on our way out of Denver.
Delicious Thai food!
This was a favorite place for many years. I will not go again. There are way better thai options with better service. I drove across town to get it and was not called once and told they didn't have one of the items I ordered.
We've been eating here for a couple of years and have not had problems until recently. They were out of some entrees that we ordered, and instead of calling us (since we had ordered online), they just told us when we came to pick it up. In addition, the employees let us know all tips on credit cards go directly to the owner, which I'm pretty sure is illegal.
had it delivered and as always was delicious!
The service used to be really good but not sure what changed, the servers looked irritated,
The food however was good, except for the spring rolls which were frozen in the middle.
The best Thai food
Garlic lovers, get the garlic style. I have never had that much garlic on any dish at a restaurant. It was amazing. Very happy.
You won't find better! The food, the people, the service. 10/10. The owner's are the friendliest people that go above and beyond for everyone!
Everything I've tried here is yummy, lots of vegetarian options with mock meats.
Very attentive and service fast. Friendly atmosphere.
Nice atmosphere, large menu, reasonable prices. The curry was so drenched in spice that you couldn't taste anything... that was level two spicy. I've had a lot of Thai food, and i've never had coconut curry so tasteless and spicy at the same time.
We ordered spicy level three and its way too spicy. My partner and I always get spicy ramen, indian curry, and soondubu. This was disappointing. Its too spicy to even enjoy. Idk if this was some kind of sick joke but we couldnt finish our food.
Wow!!! I have been looking for good authentic Thai since moving here from Seattle and I finally found it! Sooooo delicious! The plum sauce is amazing as well as all the appetizers and noodles we ordered. Thank you! I’ll be back time and time again.
I ordered three to-go entrees, all of them with level 3 out of level 6 spiciness.
The drunken noodles came in an appetizer sized instead of an entree size container and SO spicy that it couldn’t be eaten.
There’s no way that it was half the level of the full amount. The other two entrees, both yellow curry, were the same, and the curry tasted like it came out of a can. No flavor profile at all. I also got extremely sick 90 min after eating the curry..
$50 for subpar, inedible entrees, with one being an appetizer size. We eat Thai very often and do no recommend eating here.
Food is pretty good. One of the best Thai iced tea.
Absolutely delicious. Our normal spot was closed so we adventured tonight to try this! ITS DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Easy ordering online that was simple and easy! Service when we got there was so friendly and kind! Atmosphere was so cute, a little fancy and definitely worth seeing in person! Our food was fast, SO AMAZING and so fresh! We loved everything we ordered! 10000/10 stars! Thank you for cooking dinner tonight we can’t wait to come back! Definitely worth checking out!
The food is undoubtedly the best thai food you can find and have never had a problem before.
Ordered a takeout on Saturday. The lady who answered the call was super rude. Then, when I went to pick up the food, the lady at the counter just laughed when I told her about it, only to come back home and see there was an item missing from the order.
Always delicious!
Delicious food. Good portions
Update:
Still...
The most authentic Thai spot in Denver. This place hits all the notes of flavor you're looking for in Thai cuisine.
Try the Moo Nom Tok, Pork Larb, Tom Yum Shrimp!
Wish they had a bar!
Fabulous! Great service, great food and portions, we will be back.
We had pad woon sen, yellow curry, and veggie rolls. Everything was flavorful and we had plenty. Service was quick and friendly.
Bua has a nice selection of Thai and Burmese food that is tasty and quickly prepared. The restaraunt isn’t the cleanest but most dishes ordered will do the trick including Tom Kha, Curry, fried rice, and Satay. Order the basics and you will be satisfied.
The chicken pad Thai was great! Can't wait to try more of the menu!
Great menu, great service, and beautiful presentation on the drunken noodles. We also ordered the Choo Chi Tiger Prawns, and I was impressed by the portion size and price. This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever eaten at. My parents were born in Bangkok, so we go out for Thai food whenever possible.
My mom was confused when she saw orange chicken and sesame chicken on the menu, thinking the owners weren't from Thailand. We were delighted when our server greeted us in Thai. She understood exactly how spicy we wanted our food.
The menu is massive and I am already planning ny next meal. I want to try the crispy papaya salad!
Crab cheese wantons- really good.
Wanton soup for $13?? Wanton completely over done and mush, not enough wantons, and they add chicken? Just give me more wantons! Broth was good, and actually bone broth.
Paid Thai I did with extra sauce- still bland- I added grilled onions and got every veggie in it. Not what the menu says.
Not sure I’d do again..
Wouldn't recommend at all. Gave me an attitude for a mistake they made regarding the quantity of an item and to top it off we asked if a certain food was free of specific ingredients my son was allergic to, in which they replied none of them was in the order... he broke out after eating it and had a reaction. I understand it's difficult with allergies and food but this was pure negligence.
A wonderful mix of Asain cusine.
Really excellent food! Great vegetarian options. They used fresh ingredients and it tasted completely homemade. I like the laid-back atmosphere, too! The portion sizes are big, so I recommend ordering a dish or two and eating it "family style".
Great food! My only feedback is that I ordered a very spicy dish, which they brought out on a piping hot skillet. It was delicious, but the fumes from the skillet had the whole restaurant coughing. I felt pretty embarrassed, and I'd recommend that the chefs keep spicy dishes in the back until they stop smoking so much.
The Thai tea, and the pineapple chicken panaang were awesome.
Lovely atmosphere. The food is pretty good. I had the chicken with basil rice. I'm glad I went for the level 1 spicy because my colleagues that like spicy chose level 2 and they thought it was a lot to handle. It was a big portion too. Also I don't know what the little soup was that they gave us, but it was really good. I could have eaten a large bowl of that as my primary choice instead!
Food was amazing and delicious service was excellent as well
I ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the Khao Soi. The calamari was absolutely delicious, super crispy and not overcooked.
My other dish however was not spectacular, the seasoning was really good and the noodles were great but the chicken was absolutly terrible, it tasted off and it was like a piece of jerky.
The waitress there did not treat my wife with respect when the waitress was wanting her to close the the blinds because the people next to us wanted any clothes because the sun was getting in their eyes my wife was so upset that she had to leave the restaurant i would not recommend this restaurant
One of those places u wanna show off to ur friends and family for the bragging rights. :) the food is so bomb! My favorite soup on the planet they make best, it's called tom kha soup .. mmmmm and Iv never been disappointed by anything on there menu, it's all fantastic. Best thai hands down in Colorado and maybe America 😊😋🤤💝💯🤟🧠👅👄🙋♀️🙋♂️🙆♀️🙆♂️
Overall the dishes and flavors were good. The menu has a lot of variety and options. Of the few items we ordered, Yum Woon Sen was our least favorite. The flavor of the salad was off a little bit in terms of a balance of sweet, salty, fishy, spicy, etc. Also it had big chunks of raw red onion, green onion, and herbs that wasn't very appealing and overtook the noodles. Crispy pork is always my go-to, since it's rare to find at other Thai restaurants. Unfortunately the service/wait staff was a little slow and inattentive
Authentic Thai restaurant. Great food and atmosphere.
Great food and service in a pretty and relaxed atmosphere.
The menu looks good, but the food was horrible. I ordered a vegetarian dish, and it tasted like steak from the previous meals on the grill. The place was dead, including to go orders. Everyone was sitting around doing nothing. You would think they would've at least cleaned a portion of the grill. Laziness tastes bad. When I'm mentioned something, nothing was done about it. Not a good look.
I love this place. I've gone many times now and each time is wonderful. It can be slow during busy hrs as there's only a couple workers. The crab cheese wonton are amazing and light. The chicken fried dumplings are delicious even my kids ate them all. I usually get the chicken Thai fried rice and it's sooo good. If you're not into super spicy don't go over a 2. Things get HOT. It's my favorite place to go!
Food was wonderful. Service was awful. Our waitress waited on everyone but us. We sat waiting forever, and she never once checked on us. Ended up getting cashed out by the lady bussing tables. Was not happy by how we treated, and I was disappointed my kind husband decided to tip her anyway. We will not be back.
Good food but really poor service. Dine in and pick up. Staff is extremely rude and dismissive on both occasions. Waited over 20 minutes for a pickup order (after arriving 30 minutes after it was placed) Poor staff itself ruins the experience even though the food is good unfortunately
Food and service is always good. I love their massaman curry and papaya salad. Never once had a bad experience and I’ve gone back over 10+ times.
Wonderful. Love this place.
Their curry is one of the best in town
The customer service was very rude. Doesn't follow instructions on online orders especially when ordered vegan food.
Possibly the best pad Thai I've ever had. I wish I could cook tofu like that!
This is my go to Thai place in Colorado. Their curries are amazing as well as their stir fry dishes. I highly recommend the mango and pumpkin curries which are yellow curries. The Thai boat noodles is also amazing!
This is the place you always want to come back to 😍 in my opinion this is the best Thai food y oh can find in Denver! I had fish, wontons and their cocktails and all of them were just delicious.
Thank you for such a good experience in your restaurant 💞
Great placeWe enjoyed the food even with out coupons
Food was delicious, service was great, and it was quick to get our order. Would definitely eat here again.
Overall mediocre experience.
Food was ok. Serving sizes were big. Kids loved the Pad See Yu. The Panang Curry chicken was tough. I ordered level 4 spice (1-6 scale they use) for my fried rice and she said "that is hot" and I confirmed that's what I wanted.... but they forgot any spice (it was a 0-1). Mango sticky rice was drowning in the coconut milk cream (too much for my liking but others may prefer that). Crab cheese wontons were a little too crispy (burnt tips).
Also be aware they do not seat after 825pm on weekdays.
We (2 parents and 3 kids) walked in at 828pm on a Tuesday (sign says they close at 9). The host said we could only order takeout. I confirmed they close at 9 and she said yes, they keep the dining area open until 930pm but stop seating at 8:25pm. Felt like a random time to me but it is of course their choice. So, since we really wanted Thai food, we said we would order take-out / to go.
She said ok and walked away. She didn't get us menus so we walked around and found our own. She then returned and hovered while we read the menu (felt awkward). Maybe it was a bad day/night or something (because other reviews are better), but in our brief experience the service was off putting and food was just ok.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and service. Will eat here again, for sure!
Great food! I come out to Aurora often and try to get here every time. I usually do take-out and they are so fast but still delicious. I always get the pad Thai and wontons and have never been disappointed.
Some of the best curry I have had in a while. Pad Thai was great as well, definitely in the top 5
I right now and the food I ordered(pad thai) is bitter. I noticed some spices are overcooked!
We will definitely return to this restaurant. The place is warm and clean with a wonderful and quick service.
I ordered the duck panang curry, my husband's massaman cury and fried rice for the kids. We all enjoyed our food. Extremely delicious. They also gave us extra rice. We left with full stomach.
The music was a little loud but we asked the kind waitress lady to lower it a bit which she did.
I recommend.
Thank you.
Food was great, good places to eat different Thai food. More authentic.
I really like a tom yum soup. The flavor kick out. But sadly we need asked a plates, spoons. No ready when guest sit. That's it, over all we will come back again
Their lunch menu is great, fast and friendly service. The chicken pad Thai and pad see ew are my 2 favorite dishes.
Our large group waited 30 minutes to order, restaurant was not busy...had to ask the waitress to take our order. She also took the order of a group that came in after us. Sadly, two in our party specifically said no spice and their order was really hot spice. We like their food but we're disappointed.
Bua Thai used to be our favorite spot, but the past few times we’ve dined in, it has been a sub-par experience — one waitress who has so much on her plate, especially with a packed restaurant, but we waited 30 minutes and even then I had to tell her we were ready to order, asking for very minimal/no spice and the food is super spicy (I get it’s Thai food… but if you ask about spice level preference, it should matter!), and a broken high chair for our son. Super disappointing experience.
Had pieces of metal in my panag curry. Brought it to the owners attention and didn't offer a discount or even a sorry and I turned them into food and health organization of aurora.
We were feeling nostalgic about our trip to Thailand 5 years ago, and this place delivered a wonderfully memorable meal to help with our reminiscing! Khao Soi was rich and deep in curry flavor. Pad See Ew was perfectly spicy-sweet.
I went with 3 of my friends for lunch. When they asked about our preferred spice level we all said mild, but we were surprised when the food came out with no spice at all! Usually with Thai mild, you can still taste a little spice but maybe they do things different. We ended up asking for some spice on the side which we got right away. Also if I recall correctly, one of my friends ordered a to-go dish but never got it. Service just felt slow overall. Hopefully that was just a one-off experience because I don’t remember it being like this in the past.
La comida es deliciosa pero no sé si cambiaron de cocinero estaba para mí con un poco más de sal
Combo Pad Thai had 2 shrimp, and was $5 more than others lmfao not better than most in the area but still less than average, mushy over cooked small portions for 20$ save your self the trouble and get a steak for $2 at Texas Roadhouse ...
Best Thai food in this part is Aurora. If you like spicy, this place is for you
Just wanting something different, we stopped in & were quite surprised. The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent! I was with a good friend who has traveled extensively & lived in Europe for a few years, and also traveled to Asia multiple times. He was impressed, and so was I. The menu provides extensive options. No alcohol served here, but not an issue for us. I forgot to take photos of our entrées, so we will go again & try different items.
Delicious food. A little pricey for what you get but the food tastes delicious. Very quick service.
Got the cashew chicken with a spice level of 4. It was delicious and very spicy which was great. Server was cool and made sure I know that they don’t play with spice. 4 was perfect
The services is amazing, they truly make you feel welcome and appreciated. The food is fresh and delicious, if you like spicy food they also offer different levels of heat(spicy).
pad woon sen is very good
Their red curry and panag curry is the best.
The food was super tasty. One of the best Thai restaurants in Colorado .
If the service was good it would have been a nice experience.
Great Thai restaurant in Aurora. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. My daughter and I enjoyed the experience.
Beautiful inside, the service was great! Prices are nice for the amount of food.
Late night and they had some delicious food, one of my new spots in that area.
They aren't lying when they call their restaurant traditional Thai cuisine and I've been to Thailand. Pad Thai and mango sticky rice was delicious! I love the selection of meat you can pick to add to your dish and the spice level.
The dining experience at Bua Thai fell short of expectations due to unsatisfactory food and abysmal customer service. Our appetizer took an unusually long time to arrive, and when we asked about the delay, it seemed as if our order had been forgotten. The food, when it finally came, was hastily served and disappointing in quality. My lard na dish and my boyfriend's Isaan soup emitted unpleasant odors, and the soup was missing the tendon that was promised in the menu description. The combination of subpar food and infuriating customer service has firmly deterred us from ever considering a return to Bua Thai.
Was awesome won't eat here again after them canceling my order twice on uber eats.
Phenomenal food with a capital Damn! The best pumpkin curry I’ve eaten. Excellent pineapple fried rice. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. 🤤
A Spicy Delight at Bua Traditional Thai Cuisine
Review: If you're a Thai food enthusiast, Bua Traditional Thai Cuisine is a must-visit! My wife savored the Pad Thai, which struck a delightful balance with its peanutty taste and just the right touch of spice. I, on the other hand, went for the curry beef with an extra kick, and it was a game-changer. Unlike other places where "spicy" barely registers, Bua’s dish brought the heat, making me break a sweat! Both the flavor and presentation were exceptional. The staff's friendliness added to the experience, making our meal all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend for an authentic and pleasantly fiery Thai experience!
We ordered lemongrass fish and crispy duck. Both were bad. The fish was super salty, and the duck had a strong blood smell.
Food was good. The Mango Curry is amazing. I want to get more food from here soon.
I have never enjoyed Thai food outside of Thailand until this place. Found it on a fluke and it is my favorite place in the denver area. Seriously cannot say enough good things.
What a great find! We ordered two servings of the panang (one chicken, one pork), crab wontons and the thai iced tea for take out. Everything was phenomenal and ready so fast! Will definitely be coming back soon!
First time to this restaurant. We were greeted with friendly smiles and quickly seated. We ordered the satay appitizer, pumpkin curry with tofu, and mango sticky rice with custard. Everything was very tasteful and beautifully presented. The staff was very attentive throughout our visit. We'll definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Food is amazing.
I had the pad thai, my wife the curry. We had the steamed and fried dumplings, Thai tea, and sweet rice and mango. It was all really good.
One of the best thai food in the country, so delicious 😋
Best thia place by far. I had the veg egg rolls. House salad and the tom soup! I will be back. The portions are huge.
Very delicious food, friendly staff, quick service and food was very fresh and tasty
