Casual, contemporary outlet serving Thai standards & some Chinese items like orange chicken.
Really great Thai food in the valley. I have eaten here several times and each experience was consistent and overall great. The curries are always well seasoned and the delicious appetizers never disappoint. Highly recommend for those in the mood for a great Thai dining experience.
Second visit update:
I ordered the hot basil with chicken again. It was still delicious but again it wasn't spicy regardless of my request for spicy. This time I managed to get the attention of the staff and they brought me a couple containers of Thai chili's and bam, amazing food. I would give the food this visit a solid 5 stars, but service was less attentive than it should be. 4 stars is a fair rating to average the 5 star food and 3 star service.
Original visit:
My basil chicken was beautiful, but it wasn't spicy. The whole point of Thai food is to be spicy. Wait staff never came back so while I had wanted to give then a chance to correct it, they never gave themselves a chance.
The food isn't fantastic, it doesn't have very much flavor at all, and they give you such small portions. I eat Thai Food all the time, everywhere I go, and this place is not good. We had the Pad See Ew and it was flavorless. We had the crab ragoons, and they didn't have very much flavor either, and the pastry they used was too thick and flavorless. The egg rolls were basically just cabbage, they were not good at all. We also had a side of peanut sauce that wasn't very good. We paid almost $40 for the food, and it was such a waste. There is an amazing thai food place right down Ventura, that is open until 2am, and it is so good, and has great prices, and large portions--go there instead. We will not be back to this place.

Every dish here is deloishous
Got the yellow curry and lemon chicken. Some of the best food I’ve ever had 🤤
Not bad, not great, just ok. The noodles were soggy.
This place is gonna end up on Kitchen Nightmares show. Nothing against the food or taste. 1 star is for the service. Keep reading to be shocked on what happened...
Came here twice with coworker/s and each time the wait for food was taking too long. About 20 minutes for chicken with rice and salad. My coworker was chased once in the parking lot by the employee about the tip. Second time my coworker was humiliated in front of other customers about tipping. We were about to leave the place and the server runs up to him and starts putting him down for not leaving a tip. I've never in my life seen anything like this.
To the owner either pay your waitress or go out of business. The food was great I went there multiple times with my coworkers group and with a few friends. However every time I go there with a small group the servers seem like they are begging for a tip after I paid.
There were 4 of us and we sat in a nice booth on the left side. We were approached quickly and asked if we wanted to place a drink order which we did. We ordered the Asst. Appetizer plate and said we would place our order a bit later. Appetizers were good but some choices only had 2 of that choice making it hard to share with 4 of us. Two of our dinner orders came first which were curry dishes, After 5-6 minutes they brought the shrimp dish but no dinner for #4 of our party. She had ordered Pad Thai.
A full 10 mins. after the 3rd dinner came was when she got her dinner. She wanted us to start eating when our food came rather than they get cold. If we had waited, it wouldn't have mattered that they be cold, we would have refused to eat since our friends dinner turns out (according to the waitress) to be made in a special section of their kitchen while the curries are made separately and the other main dinner in another section of the kitchen.
Now, wait a another minute!!! Knowing the curries are fast to spoon into a bowl, wouldn't you put those orders in a few minutes after putting in the order for the one item that takes the longest!
No apology until we asked what the issue was and why which turned out to be irrational.
I had actually seen another review that mentioned their food did not come out at the same time in a timely manner.
P.S. The food was good, but appetizer plate not shareable for 4
This might have been the best Thai food I’ve had in the U.S. the Tom Yun Gung was excellent. Drunken noodles was amazing. I’ll definitely come back anytime I’m in the area!
My son and I have been eating at this place for sometime last night. We ordered food to be picked up and we both got violently ill. I called the restaurant to tell them the situation and they did nothing to about it. They try to make excuses and said it was something we both ate before, never coming back to this restaurant again
The food was absolutely amazing! We loved the atmosphere, grateful how it fit my family of 9. Everything tasted fresh and the service was great! Only thing I can say negatively is that we did not get our food all at the same time. Other than that, very delicious!
Great Thai food
I've tried my share of Thai restaurants, but man this place was GREAT. I don't want to hype it up too much for others, but I found their prices very reasonable as well as their portion sizes. Their pad thai and crab fried rice were just what I wanted, but most of all, they really give their all for service!
Too many mix of vegetables on the Mongolian been. Misses the taste completely. Good portions. 👍
This is my favorite Thai place. I’ve been coming here for years, and they never disappoint. My favorite dishes are the roasted duck curry, the papaya salad, the pad see you and the tom yum soup. Ive tried many of their dishes but always come back to my favorites. The owners are very nice & polite. I’ve had great dine in experiences and also pick up/take out. Also LOVE their thai iced tea. If you’e in area I definitely recommend this place!
I just love this little Thai restaurant in my neighborhood. I order takeout, often, and have dined there, too, several times. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is fantastic! I highly recommend the Garden Wraps. I've taken them to parties and they've been a huge hit! Also, the red curry and Papaya salad. Not something I would normally have ordered, but it's so fresh and beautifully presented. When I was rehearsing for weeks for upcoming shows, I always brought food from Anantra to the rehearsals because it was such a big hit with the band!
Fantastic Thai restaurant. Every time we've taken others here to dinner they compliment the place and want to go back.
Love this place.. Curries are amazing!
Go to thai place.
Great food and wonderful service.
We recommend the ginger chicken and the Devil noodle dish. So goooooood
It's hidden in a shopping Plaza. Has great lunch specials and yummy dishes. Service is fast. I've never had a bad experience except last time I visited and the cashier asked if my friend wasn't tipping. Rude. Tipping is optional.
Now little place and great food every time…
The restaurant got nominated by the LA Times, and I agree that their food is really good. Congratulations!
However, they advertised an 8.88% discount on online orders, but unfortunately, it wasn't applied to my order. When I asked the staff, they couldn't explain why or fix it.
Very disappointing.
Always a great meal. Good portions and fair prices.
Food was good. The crab starter was soggy and I felt the difference in taste compared to the last time.
I was so surprised to learn that they consider a 3 year old an adult and counted her while presenting the bill.
They added 18% gratuity on our bill without even asking us while in the bill tip suggestions was displayed.
Upon asking they said it's the norm which we challenged and our friend asked for the rule book which they were not able to show us.We were 4 adults and a 3 year old. They kept on arguing that a 3 year old is counted as an adult and that's ridiculous.
We clearly stated that it's up to us how much we want to leave on the table. We actually wanted to leave a very good tip but this malpractice ruined our experience.
The atmosphere and dining options are decent. Food is good though appetizers came after the main course.
But there's a huge red flag on how they operate.
I was presented with the bill adding 18% gratuity decided by themselves. Upon questioning, they said for groups they add it and no one questions it. I asked them to show the rule which of course they didn't. I was planning to give decent tips anyways but had to call out this bad business practice. Beware of this.
Very nice local Thai restaurant with big patio. Food is very good and service as well.
Food is good but staff is unkind
Delicious. Excellent service.
Outstanding Thai option. Impressive menu, extremely fast and friendly service, fresh, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. You can’t go wrong with this place!
Charming local Thai in shopping center. Ample parking. Every seat in house full. Reservations best as the small inside area First time ever visited. Was recommended by extended family. They had never tried some of our favorite dishes and they loved them!
Perfectly balanced spices and seasoning, not too sweet or salty. The best Anger salad and eggplant basil. Excellent panang curry! Everything cooked perfectly.
Excellent as always!
I will start off with the pros even though I do not care for the price of the crab raccoon it was delicious.
Cons :
1.The price of the orange chicken should at least come with a side of rice or a vegetable.
2.The orange chicken was dry and needed more sauce
I will not be returning to this restaurant.
‘Thai style’ small portions, decent food, American prices $$, with authentically Thai/poor customer service. Web order was delivered incorrect 2 pad Thais and they refused to switch out 1 out for a different entree. Too many other Thai places nearby to deal with that type of disrespect for local customers. Guess they’re doing to well $$$$ to care….1 pad Thai order cost them a lifetime customer. That’s what you experience in Thailand not CAli.
Very friendly and very good food will come again
Amazing Thai food! Staff that helped me was extremely nice! You will not be disappointed.
Reasonably priced and good service with friendly Hostess and waitress. I only gave it four stars because I've only been there once as this was my first time for lunch. I had orange chicken which is not a traditional Thai Dish but I was happy to see it on the menu because I like it and it was delicious. The lunch specials come with salad and choice of white or brown rice I thought it was a good deal for $11.50 my two friends one had vegetarian Pad Thai and loved it and the other had chicken satay skewers. She said they were good and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the waitress. I will definitely be back.
Amazing food. A taste explosion. Cozy patio.
Had absolutely wonderful experience there, from speed of service to quality of the curry. One of the few places I've eaten curry where I enjoyed the complex flavors even more than what I make for myself! Masaman, swap with some salmon, all amazing as well as the Thai iced tea.
Food was good. Hot and veggies were fresh. Needed more ginger but that is just me. Large portion size at a good price. Got busy after we got there and service suffered a bit. Would go back.

Spaghetti noodles and chow mein terrible and sweet
Been to this restaurant 30 to 40 times the food has always been delicious, well prepared with no exceptions. Plan to return often.
I loved this place. I was working in Woodland for a couple of weeks and took my wife's advice to eat healthy while I was away. I looked for a Thai place and saw this one with good reviews and decided to give it a try, I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the Bangkok BBQ Pork it was grilled perfectly with a little bit of crispiness without being burnt. The subtle BBQ sauce was good also. Everything was fresh and the service was excellent. The homemade Ice Cream for desert topped the meal and I was a happy customer. I plan on returning before I return back to NorCal..
Great service and good food 👍.
Delicious and authentic Thai food! The portions are big and loaded with meat and veggies. Good prices and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Anantra is my favorite Thai restaurant in Woodland Hills now!
Consistently Great food and friendly and helpful service. We love the Papaya salad and crab steamed dumplings to start. The thai BBq chicken is moist and flavorful. The filet with stringbeans features very tender beef and great sauce. Also loved the crab fried rice and Pha Thai is always delicious. And they have a 10 dollar corkage charge if you prefer to bring your own wine.
Buena fusion comida Thai
Really Good Food ! I have never had a Tom yum extra spicy so good in my whole life !!!! Wow
One of the best Thai I have ever had here !
The owners would not allow my fiance and I to eat inside because I had my service dog with me. The employees were incredibly apologetic and tried to compromise with us by having us eat outside. It was very cold outside, and the last thing I want is for the employees to face the consequences of the owners ignorance and prejudice. I have filed a formal complaint with the ADA, and simply want to warn others with service dogs of the owner's lack of accommodation.
Normally I go to coco Thai but decided to try a new place. I went with good reviews when I chose Anantara on Ventura. Well it was a waste of money and time. First, I ordered on line for pick up (will never do it again) and had to provide my credit card. So I feel like they had me at already collected $100. When I went to pick up up the food. I was told “they are busy and it will take another 20 minutes”. I went to Trader Joe’s to pick up few things and returned 25 minutes later, only to find out I had to wait for another 20 because they were working on one more item. When I finally got the food, and put it on the plates, all the dishes were cold. My orange chicken was awful, cold, hard as a rock and heavily battered (I asked for lightly batter), other dishes had no flavor, no shrimp on pad Thai but shrimp on papaya salad (why writing notes and ordering protein when kitchen can’t read or follow direction), potstickers freezing, and other food was blend and cold. My family voted “awful disaster” so we are not going back. People seemed nice but they mismanaged our dinner and we are not going to make same mistake twice.
Great thai food. Very good service.
Poor food high prices Manger didn't seem to care or discount the unsatisfied customer. Never going. It's sad that they take your money and to bad if the food isn't for right.
Got a to go order on my way out of town. Decent prices huge servings good food (green curry was amazing) and speedy service will def be back next time im in socal.
I rarely give a negative review. Although this one takes the cake. 7pm on a Saturday night. Not a sole in the restaurant. Ordered pad see ew. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Looked around and no customers in sight. I counted 6 employees. After being told to sit at the entrance and waiting only 15 minutes. I drove2 minutes to my home. This was the worst food I have ever received from a restaurant. Horrible service. Horrible food. Live and learn. I will never return and will gladly tell friends what I think.
First time trying this place,.. Ordered beef Devil Noodles and asked them to make it spicy. Also ordered chicken Pad Thai.
I loooooved both dishes!
Very good taste for the food! Decent price but large portions!
Definitely will go back again and refer to others!
Duck noodle soup - 🍜- 😋- yummy! I'm so grateful for delicious Thai in the neighborhood. The food and service are fantastic.
Some of the best Thai I've been had! Will be back!
This place makes some really good Thai food. I ordered the 'crunchy veg rolls', 'eggplant lovers' , 'California vegan curry' and the 'vegetable fried rice'. The veg fried rice was very flavorful and aromatic. I could eat it all day.
The service is top notch as well. I definitely recommend this place for any Thai cuisine lovers
Wonderful Thai food. All the standards and some very interesting additions.
Ordered once and will never go back. To keep it short - they're overpriced, each item (soup, starter, fried rice and an entree) had too much salt. What was worst is I left them a terrible review on yelp and they wouldn't care to acknowledge let alone do anything about it. Its like customers who want to come back will come back, they don't care as if they have more business than they need.
Everything we ate had so much flavor, very delicious! Only downside is that portions are pretty small for the prices.
Best Thai food in Woodland Hills. Food portions are always good. Taste is great; however, if you eat spicy make sure to ask for extra spicy.
The food was honestly the best Thai I’ve had in the valley so far. On top of that, the atmosphere is really cool and the employees are beyond friendly!
Best thai next to the one in northridge, local and always good.
Always made fresh and tastes great 👍
We enjoy the fresh & tasty dishes. We have become regulars and enjoy the food and service. We truly are blessed to have such a great Thai restaurant near us. Go there and enjoy the food.
Aaron & Velvet
One of the best thai food joints around
This place is great! especially if anybody remembers 'Little Orchids' (another thai place that closed recently) you all must try it out!!! better than Thai Chaba by far!!!
I had an unbelievable experience here, Cat was one of the most helpful and friendly people I've ever interacted with in this area. She was extremely knowledgeable and informed about all the offerings and allowed me to take up all kinds of time while I was trying to make up my mind. She was totally professional and courteous the entire time and made my experience with this restaurant several times better. The service is always fast and friendly and the aroma/taste of the food is astounding. Both before and during COVID, the service was terrific and during the whole time, safety was carefully and rigorously followed to help keep everyone healthy. They have a very well put together online delivery service as well which helps streamline everything. I have never once been disappointed or dissatisfied with anything at this or their other locations. I am very happy to have them so closeby as well, right off Topanga & Ventura. They are located in a really convenient and comfortable section of this particular shopping area, their spot and the surroundings are vibrant and flourishing with all kinds of fun and cool things to experience. It is very easy to find, it has a beautiful front that can be seen next to the other well kept neighboring businesses. There is a large parking lot with many spots so parking shouldn't be a concern at all. There are so many options to choose from, a wide-ranging list of offerings. Every order I've had with them has been completely accurate and exact, getting all the details correct. Although I really enjoy and savor the Thai food from all the places I've been to, especially in The Valley, Anantra's is at the top of the list and everyone should try it at least once. The most recent item I ordered was their chicken salad and it was one of the best that I've had in a long time, it was perfectly prepared and seasoned. It was hot, fresh, and nothing was leaking or dripping which is a definite plus. I found their pricing to be very reasonable and sensible, you don't need to 'break the bank' when coming here. I really loved their ambiance and atmosphere, it had a great feel to it when you're there. The layout also works out really well, with the tables and seating arranged just right to allow comfortable seating for everyone inside. Everything is also extremely clean and spotless inside as well. If you're in the area during lunch, make sure to check out their lunch specials too, they're really good and you get a lot of value for your money. This is one of those places that you can dine in or take it out and still everything is on point. For those who are vegan, there are plenty of options here as well that would be feasible to order. Another thing I like is that the portions are very hearty and everything seems to still taste amazing if having them as leftovers later on. Another cool thing is that they have/had a dog-friendly patio, so you can bring them along for the experience. I can't think of anything to criticize about this restaurant or the service Cat provided, it was all such a good experience with such helpful people, am looking forward to visiting again and spreading the word to people I know.
My family and I have eaten here at least five times. Each time we have received high-quality delicious Thai cuisine.
Our favorites include the Sampler Appetizer, Pad Thai, Spicy Basil Beef, Fried Rice and of course their Orange Chicken!
I have eaten it all the Thai restaurants in Woodland Hills, West Hills, and Canoga Park and by far this is the best Thai food restaurant in the area.
Online ordering is easy. Delivery has always been on time.
For all these reasons I 100% recommend this restaurant!
Love the thai food here
Quick. Yummy.
This is the second time I have visited this restaurant, for take out this time only because I liked the food when I have dined in earlier. But I was very dissapointed with the food this time. We have ordered a couple of items. Only the spicy fried rice tasted good but Rest of the food was tasting very dull. Looks like for take out they don’t focus on the quality. I have eaten Thai food at lot many places including Thailand and I know what good thai food tastes like. Not coming back to this place in future.
Really good food
Great local Thai place. Had the red curry lunch special. Comes with a sslad and white or brown rice. Very good, not too spicy.
The food is excellent! The service has always been really good. The staff are extremely kind and accommodating. Great for ordering in as well. They deliver too!
Super yummy and conveniently located next to The Write Off Room, a performance space gem in the SFV. Delicious cuisine, artfully prepared, well-priced and a cozy vibe. And, easy parking in the lot. Lots to love here!
Green curry was super watery and not much flavor. I even asked her if it's watery, she said no. They charged $4 just for a side of rice noodles. Other places its either complimentary or $2. Didn't even warn about upcharge. $18 for lunch. Thx
Worst Thai food or any food ever. Food was so cold and not fresh at all. Artificial ingredients and processed food with expensive price charging Similar to fancy restaurants. Not sure when they cooked or bought it as ready to eat and frozen it .. Poor customer service. They made us to forget thai food. Would never go there even if they offer for free
Excellent food and service. Friendly and efficient.
Food is really consistently good.. service is on it. we enjoy a quivk meel there all the time
Found this gem. They're food is pretty good.
Definitely a local place me and my friends love going to. Amazing pad thai and fried rice, great appetizers and personally I love their sticky rice. All the staff are so friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner.
Also for anyone worried about vegetarian or vegan options, they are always willing to take out any animal products from their dishes. Will continue to visit this place in the future!
Pretty good Thai restaurant! Everything I've had here is really good. Spicy can get very spicy which is awesome. Like most places they have a lunch special, plus a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy the SoCal sunny days!
Try the crab wonton.. it's amazing!!
The won ton soup was delicious on this rainy evening
Good food despite some initial order confusion.
best yellow coconut curry ever. place is very clean and service is quick. the food is delicious. one of my favorite Thai food places in town
Living less than a mile from Anantra Thai, I am a frequent customer of theirs. The devil noodles and chicken gyoza were my first foray into their menu and I was immediately hooked!! The fried rice (spicy and otherwise) are delicious as well. Inside the restaurant, the space is very well utilized. Cozy but spacious. A delightful hidden gem
Food is delicious. Made with great quality and have great service.
Awesome
great food good service
Had good lunch. Lunch menu didn't seem to match restaurant name though. Otherwise... no complaints.
Good food. Good service. Nice ambiance. Reasonably priced. I recommend it.
I love this place. I had my doubts just from the location and size but it is hands down the best Thai place in the valley. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is outstanding. My biggest compliment would have to go to how fresh the food always is. A lot of times Thai restaurants seem to be re-heating or serving food they’ve previously cooked but here the food is always made fresh and hot!
Consistently good fresh healthy food. Savory taste and very well presented. One of my favorite spots right now
The food isn't fantastic, it doesn't have very much flavor at all, and they give you such small portions. I eat Thai Food all the time, everywhere I go, and this place is not good. the food is always hot and delicious and come superfast!
Fantastic and the service top Notch
Really good Thai food.
The service was the worst part of the night and the food couldn't make up for it. We were waiting a lot and then they just served us a dry chicken satay. The essential moisture of the meat was missing. The yellow curry was the star of the night. There were tiny plates, no spoons, and overall it was a very mediocre restaurant.
Excellent service.
Great food always
I love the Pad See You!!!
And
The Thai Dumplings
Staff and food are really great. I go often.
Great little lunch spot in the plaza where i work. Everyone is always so nice & the food is delicious
This is our go to Thai delivery place because the food is always hot and delicious and come superfast!
Food is always amazing and delivery is always quick. Everything I've tried from here so far has been delicious! Highly recommended!
Authentic thai food. Quick service and nice staff!
It's okay.
Food is fantastic. Service is perfectly attentive. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!
The best Thai food in the valley and the friendly staff are fantastic! Delivery is quick, hot and delicious.
