We came here for a birthday party on Saturday and had a great time. It was easy to make appointment on Google map, so definitely do that at least 1 week in advance if you have a large group. You can specify if you want indoor or outdoor seating when you make the reservation. I'd recommend the outdoor since it's in a beautifully decorated courtyard. Free parking is available in the parking lot next to the building. I'd recommend the Thai Khan-Tok Tray Table, you get all the signature dishes, a drink, dessert in a nicely presented tray.
Although the magic noodle and the multiple peaflower colored dishes could be gimmicky, but the flavor of the food backs up the Instagram friendly setup.
Came here for brunch and dishes range from quintessential Thai dishes to American brunch stables. I would recommend sticking with the Thai dishes as they are authentically cooked.
The curries and the shrimp stir fry as part of the main Tray are a standout.
They also serve cocktails and they are made with a pinch, and sure to get your weekend started. Passion fruit mojito was delicious.
Queen Violet is one restaurant that has been becoming popular in WeHo and you can see the beautiful decoration of the wall with vibrant colors on the wall. There’s no question that the ambience, the food, and the service are good. However, I cannot say the price.
I was disappointed with them because they overcharged me for tax sales, it was about 11.88%. I questioned them and they invented any excuse for overcharging the tax sales even though I had said the rate would be higher than usual. I could realize that other people were surprised by the bills. I have gone to different restaurants in WeHo, including Queen Violent.
All the other restaurants have never charged me more than 10% on sales tax. ‘Something is rotten in the state of Denmark’, for sure.😒
My advice is to be aware of how much they may charge you.
This place kinda sucked. Went here for Valentine’s Day. The service was the worst I’ve experienced in a long time. Took FOREVER. Terrible management. Little details have been overlooked, like the servers all wear their own outfits making it hard to know who works there. All the tables are different and have different chairs making it look sloppy and thrown together. The flowers on the walls are all plastic and cheap… little details like that make you realize the people who own this place have no idea what they are doing and really tank the vibes of a place. The $17 cocktails were TERRIBLE. Actually the worst shit I’ve ever had. The food was mediocre at best, but honestly just boring and not worth the $160. VERY overpriced. Bad bad place. Will never come back. It sucks.
I visited Queen Violet for the first time. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, but the highlight was the menu that featured many interesting dishes. Everything I tasted was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The team that works here pays great attention to detail, and it shows. I recommend sitting at the outdoor tables for dinner while enjoying this beautiful weather.
unfortunately, I can't say the same for the service, I was disappointed to ask for a spoon for my soup, and it came when my soup was cold. Overall, I had a great experience and may come back again to try other dishes. I do recommend!"
We visited this modern Thai & Chinese restaurant which is a true gem on New Year's Day brunch.
We were lucky to get street parking right in front of the restaurant on a busy day like January 1st, was amazing and would imagine everyone wil appreciate.
This place offers a vibrant and visually stunning menu that goes beyond the ordinary. The variety of dishes we ordered here is a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the palate. Check the pics. One of my favorites is the purple pancake – a beautiful and tasty creation that was a great start to our meal. The blue noodle dish was something different, changing colors as soon as the dressing was added. It was like a nice transformation on the plate!
We ordered a dessert that is a Germanized Banana with Marshmallow, It was a fantastic way to end our meal on a high note.
The owner/chef has nice history behind the name : queen violet, Imagining customers as "queen bees" returning to their hive adds a playful touch to the experience. "Violet" – a symbol of support for the LGBTQ community in Thailand. Going beyond the traditional rainbow.
I came to Queen Violet for a nice dinner with my partner and parents and was quite surprised to find such an amazing Thai place. The atmosphere was quite welcoming and nice on a summer day as the decorations has a “fairy-like” vibe to them with flowers and plants surrounding the place. The outside patio was perfect for a summer evening and the food was quite fantastic. I has the crab fried rice, which I highly recommend. The violet lemonade was really refreshing too and the appetizer of won tons were also great. Keep in mind the food isn’t “traditional” Thai but Thai with a unique twist on it. Seems like a great date spot or possible brunch spot. Will be back again soon!
Awful. We sat by dirty stairs and ate overpriced mediocre food.
The worst Valentine's dinner EVER! Ok food, run out of desert, premenu not good option,AWFUL service. OVERLY PRICE. I will never come back.

perfect breakfast. i still think about that thai iced coffee sometimes
This was the easiest 5 star review I’ve ever given. If you haven’t been here, go.
They left the door open and we were seated by the door and it was super cold. The food was good and the waiter was very kind, but we were very cold and uncomfortable during the meal.

The lemongrass ravioli was out of this world! And the restaurant is super cute.
The restaurant is delicious, beautiful and very unique with its dishes. The tuna tartare was wonderful! It was a huge portion and very acidic. The mushrooms ravioli was just a unique spin! Sour yet creamy a perfect balance. This place made me feel special for my birthday.

be prepared, they’re extremely short staffed
An amazing place.
Perfect spot for a Queens brunch.
What a waste of time to go and not be sat at 9:30pm because the kitchen closes at 9:30pm even though the hours of operations says they are open until 10pm.
Out of respect of your customers time change your hours of operations to 9:30pm so it’s not misleading.
I was pleasantly surprised with Queen Violet WeHo. Known for its aesthetic and Instagrammable decor, I came in with low expectations. However, Queen Violet WeHo was a hit for our group. Their Thai dishes exceeded our expectations.
We opted for family style on a Sunday and enjoyed most, if not all, of the dishes we ordered. The dishes had reasonable portions, struck a great balance of flavoring and seasoning, and were, as you can expect, well-plated. Additionally, the staff was friendly and patient. They didn't rush at all even when they had to take care of multiple tables. Nestled in an outdoor venue, it provided the perfect ambiance to catch up between friends. Think of a small outdoor wedding venue, but at a Thai restaurant!
My favorite dish was the Crab Fried Rice. This dish can be tricky to make, especially since the flavor of crab can be overpowering or is often made too salty. However, Queen Violet WeHo delivered an exceptionally well-balanced entree. The Five Spiced Chicken Wings and Garlic Green Beans were also table favorites.
Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely be back if we're in the neighborhood! Great work, Queen Violet WeHo!
Healthy and good food to a very reasonable price.
Great night out

Amazing food and service
Amazing food and ambience
The food was so good. We were a big group, so I will share everything I tried that was delicious. My favorite was Tune Tartar TOO GOOD👌🏼 we had both Drunken Noodles and Pad Se Ew, and they were both great! My 2nd favorite was the Lasaka Noodle Soup 🤤. The Octopus Salad was good. We had Mango Sticky Rice, and we loved it. The atmosphere was nice and the waiters provided outstanding service. Everything was perfect.
I’ve walked by 1 million times and could never really figure out what the restaurant was all about but the food was amazing and we will definitely be back. Great vegetarian and vegan options. The green bean appetizer was awesome and I had the coconut curry with tofu that was epic.
Little place in WeHo with great service, a welcoming atmosphere, beautiful decorations, and of course, amazing food. The magic noodles are a real treat, both for the eyes and the stomach, as are the Queen Violet pancakes. The thalli ice tea is soon creamy, and the mango and sticky rice are the perfect end to this feast.
It’s our 2nd time here! Food were amazing, service was excellent! Overall great experienced , parking was accessible.
Every dish and cocktail I’ve tried at Queen Violet is amazing! It’s the only restaurant where I want to try something new every time and am never disappointed. Such a relaxed vibe and oasis like atmosphere in the middle of WeHo too. 10/10 recommend
HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️CUSTOMER SERVICE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just called to cancel our party’s reservation since we got the stomach flu. Instead of cancelling the reservation for us, the lady at Queen violet told us we would be charged $80 because we called a day in advance. Does Queen Violet want us to show up and give the stomach flu to the rest of their customers? Because that’s what it sounds like. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on their crazy policy that goes against preserving the health and hygiene of their customers and employees. Such poor service that completely nickel and dimes the customer. Beware!
Known for their highly Instagrammable "Magic Noodles" that turn from blue to purple when you add their sauce. Fun and pretty decent meal with good sized prawns for protein. We also got their Drunken Noodles. A little smaller for the portion comparatively, but overall good flavor. They also have a brunch menu and Bottomless Mimosas for $25 wirh a 90 minute time limit! Pretty good deal and you can walk to the West Hollywood bars from here. Service was good and definitely kept our glasses filled! Ambiance is a little dated, but still cute.
Great brunch service!
Very creative menu, the owner is a lovely lady as well.
The patio is awesome in the spring or summer, they are very accommodating with the menu, pleasant staff.
You must try the shrimp toast !
Loved everything about this place. The food 🤤 was delicious, the atmosphere absolutely beautiful 😍. My friend n I stumbled upon this place while driving down Santa Monica Blvd. It's a little hidden but if you're looking youll see it. We noticed all the pretty flowers! We went during brunch time! I had the filete mignon & eggs 🔥👌Most definitely a place to stop n try!
Took my best friends while they were visiting. The Cinnamon Tequila and Queen Bee was delicious, and the presentation of the drinks was cool! The phonominal was aptly named as it tasted phenomenal. The kung pao chicken, the onion pancakes and lobster tomyum pasta were just as delicious. Definitely will be returning when I can.
The food is awesome but legal to noisy and the day reward very cold. They are keep leaving the door open.
Considtently Delicious!
And HAS an actual parking lot!! On Santa Monica Bl. in West Hollywood. Whaaat? YES! Lovely place, you must go. ✨️
The ambiance was great but there were dusty cobwebs hanging from the leg of our table. Our octopus salad was hard, rubbery, burnt, and fishy, it wasn't fresh. We came on a rainy/cloudy day and the service was slow. The Pho was on point.
Queen Violet WeHo is a stunning Asian fusion restaurant that offers a unique and flavorful dining experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with vibrant purple hues and a touch of Thai influence, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion or a trendy night out.
The menu features a variety of dishes from across Asia, including Thai curries, Chinese dumplings, and Vietnamese pho. I especially loved the magic noodles, which was bursting with flavor and looked gorgeous.
The staff at Queen Violet WeHo is friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to make recommendations. They also have a great selection of cocktails and mocktails, perfect for sipping on while you enjoy your meal.
I would definitely recommend Queen Violet WeHo to anyone looking for a delicious and stylish dining experience in West Hollywood.

amazing food and the staff was so friendly!
I was excited to try out this new restaurant but from the moment I walked in the vibes were off. Not as picture perfect as it appears online, definitely not insta worthy. Drunk girls at the next table kept screaming at each other and shouting racial slurs. I came for brunch, not a headache. Zero stars.
Food and drinks are great but expensive. Service is slow.
Upon arrival, you can see the arch of flowers at the entrance. Very nicely decorated flower themed cafe, but could some more purple since there is violet in the name. We got the magic noodles, sara's steak, and queen violet pancakes. The magic noodles came with a sauce that was sour and spicy. We poured all the sauce on it so that the noodles would change from blue to purple. This made the noodles very flavorful. The prawns were big and juicy, not overcooked. The steak was filet mignon medium rare. It came with avocado curry, some rice, grilled zucchini, and oven fried broccoli. The avocado curry was unique. Not spicy but somewhat sweet. The avocado made it very creamy. It paired well with the steak.
The food here was horrendous. I usually don’t write reviews, but my parents and I are still talking about how bad everything was here a day later.
The iced coffee I got was disgusting. It was like a milkshake. Extremely sweet. I had to return it. My mother’s pasta was like cafeteria food and her soup was, as she described, like “peppered water”.
We then got the fried rice, and I kid you not, it tasted like fish. We had a few bites and didn’t finish.
We are usually pretty lenient on our meals. We never write reviews, EVER.
But this food was just gross
Food was bad, especially for the price. Service was fine, ignored is for most of the night. Atmosphere was okay. It was a cold day, and it was freezing in there.
Shared my cousin’s 16th birthday at this quaint restaurant she wanted to go to while visiting California. The service was good, the food was great and the ambiance was amazing! Will definitely make Queen Violet one of my “go to” spots that I will visit again in the future.
The shrimp in my soap tasted bad…few hours later I started vomiting and had diarrhea too. Before this meal my last meal was 17 hours earlier so I know exactly when and when I got food poisoning.
Also, the serve just brought the credit card slip for my signature. I noticed the charge is high and asked for details, she had charged already $10 (20%) for service for two people without my permission. When she brought the credit card slip she didn’t say I already charged a tip…she was trying to pull one over me. I hate sneaky and chit people like her. Never going back. I like to deal with honest people.
Food and ambiance to top notch! The magic noodles are delicious and PRETTY. My only complaint is the outdoor furniture could be upgraded.
Beautiful restaurant, food is really good. Vegan options and they have pink pasta and purple lemonade
So aesthetically pleasing, great veggie options and amazing, friendly service. Would definitely go again!!
By far one of the best thai fusion spots here in hollywood!!! Beautiful atmosphere and incredible food! Fighly recommend the Thai wings and wok fried rice!!!
Good food
The food was very average and bland. I mean I asked for extra seasoning and even after that it was average. The hype for this place is not even worth it. The decor is good and very good photo op! That’s about it! They also add 20% tips on your bill automatically. My food had hair in it and I returned it. That was literally my experience here, do not recommend. Street parking available, not sure if they validate. They had a big selection of drinks but I just had a Thai beer.
What a fantastic Sunday Fun Day date day. Great food and outstanding staff. I can't wait to go back
Incredible birthday experience. Everything was excellent.
Very aesthetic decorations, friendly service
Sorry Tiktok, but I can’t say it was worth the price. The panckaes was abysmally bland (purple food coloring not ube or lavender etc), the violet lemonade too. ($42) There were large of groups of women getting day drunk on mimosas. They seemed to be having a great time. But between the endless wait times, and subpar food, it honestly wasn’t the best experience. The pictures weren’t even worth it. Also they apply automatic 20% then ask if you’d like to leave an additional tip. We hardly saw our server. 😭 if you were a 4 star restaurant I could understand, but this place tasted about as good as Denny’s. Do yourself a favor and skip it!
Celebrated my wife’s birthday for lunch, & the out door seating is inviting & absolutely gorgeous to enjoy with a few good drinks even if you’re not in the mood for food.
The drinks are fun & pretty if you’re into that.
The food is flavorful & also fun if you order the magic noodles! It’s definitely a little pricey, but it’s a fun experience & in our opinion worth it to eat art that just explodes with flavor in your mouth.
Staff was welcoming & kind.
We will return & continue to recommend for fun & delicious Thai food!!!
I enjoyed the lightness of the seasonings. Very lovely mixology going on here.
A beautiful place with very kind and attentive staff the food is delicious and the vibe of the place was amazing as well
Really great restaurant in WeHo. We went there for brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was almost full, very vibrant atmosphere and beautiful decoration. The service is very good. Very warm reception, not wait to get a table, and food came rather quickly. The food is a bit pricey but the dishes are delicious. We got pork belly guacamole as starter and chicken satay burger and pad tai as main. Everything delicious. Pork belly was my favorite. I love their sour source that comes with it. Drinks were violet lemonade and Thai iced tea. Both very good. The pad tai and Thai tea are a bit on the sweet side. Overall, a great experience!
Weird quirky place. Terrible appetizers but good main course. Drinks are college grade
Food was tasty and staff was kind. Service, though, was very slow. A 1hr dinner turned to 2hrs due to the pace of service.
The place was fun. The food was fun.
My favorite was the crispy pork and magic noodles with shrimps. The violet lemonade was delicious not too sweet. I was afraid it was going to be but it wasn't. The service was slow took a while to get something and other things were forgotten.
Fav food: magic noodles, crispy pork
So so: scallion pancakes, pho burrito, Violet pancakes and the chicken wings which were served cold because I think they forgot to bring them out.
Having said all that, I will try the restaurant again. To see if it was just an off day.
Such a lovely spot. The atmos is beautiful and enchanting. Dinner is great- Onion pancakes, kung Pao, and Thai ice tea are delicious.
Brunch was fine- food was good, service was fair a tad inattentive, the atmosphere was lovely
I went there for a birthday celebration dinner. The food was fantastic! The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had someone in our party who was cold on the patio and we were quickly moved inside. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food.
They did a good job of presenting themselves as a "nice" place, we showed up and were shocked at how bad it looks but food at the end of the day is what matters. Food was ok, pricey for the type of place it is. Would I come back, only if there were no other options
My daughter picked this place. Supporting the community we decided to give it a shot. Our waiter was very nice, engaging and had suttle recommendations which we liked. No hard liquor tho. Drinks were creative concoctions that were attractive to the females but we just wanted a stiff drink! Moving to the food... no complaints! All was tasty from the noodles to the Kung pao chicken. Need to have soy sauce available tho!
We went here for my birthday. The hostess and the servers are all extremely nice and the food is super delicious. The prices are also pretty good and reasonable. The place is gorgeous. Nice and cool scenery
I'm writing this review solely to warn you that they add a 20% surcharge to your bill which is NOT listed anywhere on their website or menu. Fortunately they took it off when I told the waiter that that was the money I had set aside for their tip. I wound up spending the same amount, but at least my 20% went to the waiter and not the restaurant.
food was average , the presentation seem rushed the staff aka waiter was why to distracted, didn’t get all of what i ordered
i just paid and left.
and yeah, I guess I’m bad grammar but whatever
the layout is great for commerical , tv scene.
Magic Noodles are the way to go!
Delish!
My initial reaction was “beautiful plate; instagram worthy” and was doubting the flavor.
Until I took the first bite!!!
Absolutely delicious!
The perfect balance of lime sour and garlic spice! (I ordered it spicy).
The giant shrimp and veggies all tasted fresh.
Beautiful patio, very nice people and good service. Free parking around the corner.
Just walking by and stopped in for a light dinner and boy am I glad we did. The octopus was outstanding- accompanied by a delicious corn salad and arugula with the best dressing I have ever experienced. Then lamb chops that was like eating grilled foie gras and literally melted in my mouth. Can’t wait to go back to experience their Sunday brunch.
Las bebidas están buenas y solamente 3 platillos estabas buenos lo demás aaa nada fuera de lo común! Pero como siempre digo visiten el lugar y califiquen ustedes mismos!
Yo solo doy mi opinión de lo que yo probé!
Service was a bit off, but we did have a big group and it was a busy Friday night.
Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. Magical!
Hier stimmt alles!
Magic noodles!!! Don’t skip em.
This place is amazing because we are a block away.
A chance dinner turned into something delightful. A great hostess! Slow service got better when more staff came on duty. All were still very sweet. Seems like a strategic decision to save costs when less busy. Drinks were very weak, small, and expensive. Loved the tower presentation of cocktails at other tables. Food was really terrific! Nice to explore new tastes.
Surprised by the standard 16% tip for parties of all sizes. It was not pointed out to us so I'm glad I read the bill. Still a nice treat on a Saturday evening.
Essen war leider nicht wie erwartet, Speisekarte nicht ausführlich genug 9gsnug, Service etwas schleppend, einzig das Ambiente außen war sehr schön. Kein sehr gutes Preis - /Leistungsverhältnis.
We came at a busy time. The staff was extremely friendly but forgot to bring us food we ordered and other things we asked for (sugar for coffee).
Some of the food was good (French toast), some of the food was just okay, but the pancake was an absolute disaster. The pancake was hard and dry, you could feel it dragging on your throat the entire way down. Looking around as we left, it was noted many pancakes we left barely touched on other guests plates. The coffee was not great, was not served with enough (or any) cream/sugar, and overpriced. Also to note, they had little bugs flying around even inside. Bugs may be inevitable to a degree but it was annoying.
All in all, overpriced for what we got.
Ambiance is great. Food is pretty good and reasonably priced. While I was not a fan of the fish, my wife's noodles with beef was amazing!!!
We were in Los Angeles for my father's funeral and made a same-day family dinner reservation for Queen Violet WeHo. When we called five hours before the reservation to cancel because a member of the party tested positive for COVID, they refused to refund the $100 reservation fee. The manager did not care about our family at all, and would not even speak to me about the situation. Never mind that the whole family is in mourning. This customer service is shockingly bad, and I do not recommend patronizing this business. Clearly they care more about profits than about their customers.
Delicious food & great ambience!
Esta bien el lugar para comer y pasar un día diferente
Purple is my fav color so we went here on my birthday. Food okay, staff very nice. Purple lemonade super sour, purple pancake dry.
Great secluded restaurant on Santa Monica Blvd.
I went at lunchtime, and it was easy to get a table
.however, I have also noticed the waiting lines to get in for dinner or brunch.
Portions are very generous, so be hungry or many.
The food, service, and ambience are top notch.
I feel like this is a fake restaurant, like a converted movie set. The front of house staff has no idea what's going on -- waiters are wandering around aimlessly and the hostess is spread way too thin. It took half an hour for a waiter to even take our drink orders. The cocktails are all obscenely sweet like you're on a tacky cruise ship, the noodles are mush and the meat dishes were all overcooked. The staff here is clearly not supported by their management, if this place even has managers.
But hey, it's got a pretty terrace. Pretty much the only thing this place has going for it.
The courtyard is pretty! That’s what attracted me to this restaurant. The people were friendly and the service was fast. The food wasn’t great and it was a little overpriced.
Super charming restaurant, great selection of food. I enjoyed my Orange Tofu and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. I was there for my sister's surprise birthday. My brother in law ordered some appetizers that were yummy as well: the guacamole, the Crispy Ravioli Wonton, Five Spice Fried Chicken Wings.
Cute spot, delicious food, 😋 good service.
Charming garden. Pad Thai was one of the best I've had in a long time (but not cheap, so that's probably why). I was not impressed with the noodles that change color. Fun, but skimpy portion and good but not great in taste.
The entrance is darling and pretty. The dishes I ordered was not very memorable. I wouldn't go back. The server was nice.
I was extremely disappointed by the quality of food at this place. The most bland and boring food I’ve ever had at a restaurant at these prices. We ordered the magic noodles which was entirely a gimmick (good fun to see the color change) but all you can taste was intense lime vinaigrette. Also it was measly amount of noodles, the bottom of the bowl was just a basic lettuce salad and only 4 prawns. We also ordered the hidden gem prawn curry which was the absolute pinnacle of disappointment. 6 prawns shoved into a coconut with watery scrambled eggs. I don’t know what kind of culinary school the chef attended, but scrambled eggs, prawns and coconut doesn’t work together in a curry! The taste was bizarre and bland at the same time. I can safely say I have made better asian food using store bought bottled sauces. Additionally, an automatic 16 to 20% service charge is added to your bill and it doesn’t even go entirely to the kitchen & wait staff. Worst $72 spent on 2 tiny main dishes. I don’t really care if it was all a overpriced gimmick 1 trick pony but at least try to make it taste decent. Just highly disappointed with the price to quality ratio.
Such a lovely concept. Delicious food. Great service. Just be sure to arrive early to grab a table inside, if it's a cold & rainy day. Drinks are on the lighter side, could be stronger; but, if you're going for brunch then perhaps that's their take on brunch beverages. Staff very accommodating, ensuring our warmth and comfortability with their outside space heater.
A place out of this world, cozy food is delicious served in a unique violet touch it taste absolutely amazing, team is super kind, managed by super nice ladies. Best of luck.
Absolutely horrible service. I went into Queen violets around 130. Kudos to the host who was very kind and sat us very quickly. Unfortunately, this doesn’t make up for the horrible service I received from the server. It took about 15 mins before we were greeted. By this point my partner and I were ready to order our drinks and entree. We ordered bottomless mimosas. It’s was past 2pm when our entrees came out. The issue with this is, we have yet to even receive our drinks. All the servers in the restaurant were hustling. Not Kathy, she was hanging out with the table beside us, ignoring my partner and I. She even sang them happy birthday before making sure we had our drinks. On top of that, we were sat outside between a wall and a pillar. Our server continued to push through the tiny space slamming into me and the table while bringing her other table food and drinks. Talk about throwing salt in the wound. I had asked the gentleman who brought out the entrees to cancel our mimosa order. When my partner and I were finished with our meals, that’s when our server came out with 1 mimosa and said “you only ordered 1 mimosa, right?” Not only was she oblivious but to bring what should have been our first round of cocktails at the end of our meal is pure disrespect. I asked for a manager and the manager ever came out. When I received my check I realized there was a 16% “service charge”. I’ve worked in the industry for years, I’ve never tipped less than 20% but to know now that I'm FORCED to tip this woman who did absolutely nothing is insane!
They blindside you with a service charge of 16%. Avoid this place. Food is meh. And service is very poor.
Amazing Place
It's a lovely restaurant with nice food (white neat chicken was bmvery moist) and great staff but the prices are really high and a simple dinner with one small soup, two entrees and one sake, tax and tip was about $80. I guess it's because it's in WeHo.
My parents went to this place and raved about how great the food was. I finally went with them today and was utterly disappointed. The leftover kung pao chicken and coconut chicken soup they brought home was great, but it seems the quality of the food tanked after they gained popularity. I tried some of my father's kung pao and was immediately hit with an uncanny, fishy taste. My flank steak with broccoli was a big letdown as well. The "broth" or soup it was served in kept everything piping hot while simultaneously being practically flavorless. My mother's chicken fried rice barely tasted like anything other than eggs. The "truffle" mushrooms just tasted like soggy mushrooms coated in a mediocre breading with a side of watered down sweet and sour sauce. The brussel sprouts seemed promising, but unfortunately (or rather, expectedly) they were just bitter with a odd hint of sweetness. The staff were an entirely different story altogether. I understand the stress behind being understaffed, but come on. We were seated and had to wait a good 15 minutes before being given our menus- pardon, I meant being given our one singular menu to share. After eating the disappointing food, we noticed all other patrons being given an appropriate amount of menus per guest. Every table was also getting glasses on water with lemon wedges lovingly placed in each one. Not sure what we did to be treated so differently, but whatever. The atmosphere isn't anything to write home about either, the tiny tables crammed into every available space eliminates any semblance of privacy and just feels crowded.
In short, you'd be better off going somewhere else. Hell, I heavily considered just going to the Shake Shack across the street.
The restaurant has a warm and intimate ambiance.
The food was very subpar for the price - Expected flavorful dishes but was met with bland, "just okay" fare. We've had better pineapple fried rice and pad thai delivered to our doorstep.
Service was disorganized and absolutely dreadful. Our waiter was rude off the bat - After taking our order, he seemingly vanished for the remainder of the evening.
All in all, it was nice to try but we won't be back.
Great food and service
I love it when the beautiful presentation of my food matches the delicious taste!
OMG. The food is delicious but my goodness how can you justify their policy on limited time to dine in if THE FOOD TAKES A VERY LONG TIME to be served. Case in point: We ordered 5 dishes on the menu plus 2 desserts and the average wait time for each dish IN-BETWEEN is 20 minutes. So how can you manage to eat comfortably? Also, prepare for an exorbitant service charge of 18% even if you dine in alone!
Locally-owned Thai restaurant with an interesting array of authentic Thai meal options. Flavorful food, prompt and friendly service, and reasonable prices. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building, as well as paid street parking on Santa Monica Blvd and free street parking on West Knoll Drive behind the building (until 7 PM).
We tried their popular items like the magic noodles, filet mignon ponzu, wok fried rice, hawaiian fried rice, cigar rolls were okay, tempura mushrooms, the wings, orange chicken, so bomb, and the beef rib pho. Honestly, the food is definitely about the hype, it was so good most dishes are shareable. The popular drinks were okay, sake bomb was better lol. Service was great very friendly and so worth trying out, I reccomend!
About 8 people went for a birthday dinner. Great food and cute decor! I love the garden feel. I had the Magic Noodles... Would definitely recommend. Tried my friend's Pad Thai and it was amazing!!! I'm for sure getting that next time I get around there! Everyone enjoyed their food. Drinks were cool. I had the thing with the popsicle in it. It was tasty; however, I prefer hard liquor, which they did not serve (sweet drinks make my stomach hurt). Overall a great experience and want to go back.
Very disappointed. 1 person sitting, taking orders and bringing food out. Took forever. Never checked on us. Had to find him to get check. When he brought the check he confirmed my cold, hard waffle was a pre-made waffle. The chicken and waffle plate is not freshly made. Outside sitting area is super cute.
beautiful restaurant, highly recommend the magic noodle! It's so delicious!
What we ordered:
Short rib tacos 4/10
Cheese wontons 1/10 seriously seem like they just warm them up from the freezer and they definitely were not what we were expecting which was our typical cream cheese wontons these were just looking like little pizza tots.
champagne with butterfly blue 5/10
Kung pao chicken. 7/10
Steak 8/10
Dessert- banana s’mores 9/10
I really felt like the entire place was incredibly over priced and I probably wouldn’t come back
Loved this place!! Food was great - we got the Mushroom tempura and Tuna tartare apps and found ourselves even more in love with them - especially the tempura - than we expected! Pad Thai was great, Kung Pao chicken slapped, and the service staff was friendly, helpful and sweet. Cute spot!
