“simplicity is the best”.
This unassuming spot might be the best-kept secret for Thai food.
The decor is minimalist to the extreme—practically nonexistent.
But forget the ambiance, the food is where the magic happens.
Each dish bursts with authentic, vibrant Thai flavors.
Seriously, the taste is worth overlooking the lack of decor.
Generous portions and reasonable prices make it a great value.
The only slight downside? A mandatory 10% minimum tip. While tipping is customary, making it mandatory felt a bit off, I prefer to decide the tip amount based on the service.
Still, the food is so good, I'd happily return.
Authentic Thai eats including fresh pad Thai that was cooked over a wok with delicious flavors! We loved the matcha latte and bear coffee latte! We also had the best mango sticky rice today at Otus! Customer service was beyond amazing and we appreciated the staff providing excellent recommendations for us.
Calming shop atmosphere in West Hollywood with a variety of of brunch options.
A friend of mine had been here a few times and always spoke about how delectable the meals were, so I had to try it for myself! This place makes for a very nice brunch spot with friends and with the quality service, you can really enjoy the atmosphere and music and vibe out! I began with the 'happy belly' their crispy prok belly with chili lime dipping sauce and let me tell you, that dish had the 'WOW' factor. The chili lime sauce was packed with flavor and the pork belly was crispy, yet so juicy; paired nicely with the sauce to make for an explosive experience! Additionally, I got the kai-kata which comes with coffee or orange juice, and similarly, it knocked my socks off. The bread was dense and soft, and the thai style egg really accompanied the dish and elevated all the flavors. The kai jiew bowl was the last item I got and it is a staple meal too have. It is perfectly cooked eggs over rice with a nice sauce on the side. The dish is simple yet great as it exists as a comfortable elevated meal.

Stooped by for dinner, tried the safe choice of basil chili chicken and Chinese broccoli with chicken. As typical with Thai restaurants, had to pay for the steamed rice separately as it is not included (at Chinese, Indian etc restaurants it’s always included).
The food was below average, even for the safe chili basil dish.
The Chinese broccoli dish was outrageous: they were feeding their customers with the stalks, barely any broccoli florets check out attached photos. Don’t they know the stalks go in the garbage?! Stalks are considered waste especially at a restaurant at $20 a dish.
Service was average borderline inattentive.
Decided to try something different for Sunday brunch and checked out Otus Thai based on pictures and other reviews. Wow, so glad we came here. The food quality and taste were amazing. I forgot to take pictures of the other items because I couldn’t help myself from just eating. I like to get pad thai at each Thai restaurant to do a comparison. I know each restaurant does it differently but Otus’s pad thai was one of the best I’ve had. Beyond the food, service was exceptional and very accommodating.
Really tasty Thai food. The happy pork (I think that's what it was called) appetizer was very good. Same for the crab Rangoons, so good. I enjoyed my beef fried rice with medium spice. Definitely recommend!

For the most part, overall the food was great and service the same but it's LOUD in there and the hollow ceiling makes for a very noisy place when you want to enjoy food and company.
Good Thai food but not exceptional either.

We’re obsessed. Cutest Thai place around and great service and food. Moo pung, Tom yhum, the herbal tea, the desserts, and the red curry are all great
One of the most customer focused restaurant i have been to. Genuine service. We had ordered garlic beans and we got garlic beans sprinkled with little anchovies. Once we clarified we wanted full vege option they immediately replaced that dish with full vege option with no extra charges. Highly recommend very genuine. Great ambience and great food.
Incredible. Best Thai I’ve had in months. The service is phenomenal- they are uncommonly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is outstanding and affordable for the area. I am vegetarian so I ordered the fried tofu and the pad thai with tofu- both were sooooo good. The drinks are top-notch, especially the matcha and Thai iced tea. I can’t wait to go back!
GF items clearly marked on menu. Good selection of curry, pad Thai and soups available GF. Spouse (no food sensitivities) had a couple a Singha beers and old fashioned fried rice, as well as the roti that was served with my meal. He said everything was delicious. I had green curry with a side of rice. It was wonderful- fresh, flavorful and very bright. Service was terrific. Small neighborhood ambience. In two weeks of traveling through CA, this is the best meal I’ve had, and at half the price or less of other restaurants we’ve visited. If we lived in LA we’d come here often. I cannot recommend Otis highly enough
Food here is overall very salty and the volume is too small. I’m a tiny person weighing less than 100lb and one meal or even two meals leave me still hungry. It’s half portion of other restaurants’ which means it’s very very expensive. Please consider increasing the portion. I’m writing this because if it’s less salty and with a little more volume I would come back/order more from this place. It’s not bad, but those two things make me turn to other restaurant.
Hard yes. Best pad thai and khao soi I've had in the US. Delicious. A lot of love in the food. Plus, with all the hipster things like skin contact wine and cold brew, it equals a no compromise experience.

I love it here! Great food, super clean spot, friendly staff! Feel happy and recharged everytime we come for food. Neighbourhood gem 💎

Best pad thai i ever had
Giving Thonglor vibes 🔥
Missing to be in Bangkok while eating here. ❤️
Food, Design & Service was 10/10
My friends always come here like every week. I was curious. So I have tried 7 different dishes and they were all delicious. Good wine collection, delicious mojito. They have open patio at the back. Next time I will bring my husband and our dogs too. I heard they have food for dogs too. Recommend!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff
Good vides, good food

Loved this place for brunch. Great rice porridge and the best sweet roti I have ever had.
I’m super bummed about this place because the service is great…If you like to get your food allergies ignored, this is the place for you. My partner got violently ill from the eggs we asked them to leave out in the pad thai…
Delishhhhh Thai food and natural wine! Lots of veg and pescatarian options. We found street parking out front on the weekend.
food was so horrible 😭 i ordered the pad kee mao and it had zero flavor. i sent it back and then i get the pad see ew. a bit more flavorful but it was BURNT😭 such a bad experience. the place is very aesthetic and cute but the food was just awful, idk if it was just a bad night but oh my god please go literally anywhere else this was the worst thai food experience i’ve ever had
Great for an upscale casual bite. The green curry was delicious and the papaya salad was soooooo goooood!!!
Have to be honest… one of the worst curries I have ever had. Fried rice also wasn’t good. Vibe was nice but food, unfortunately, was not good.
So good. Just so good.
Have to check that place ... do you have beer?
Very tasty food and cocktails. Staff was also friendly
This is not my first time here, and I’ve noticed this disrespectful behavior of the staff. But today they went completely out of line yelling at me something like “again no tip” like seriously. You sure you’ve found the right person to yell at? Good luck

Excellent selection of freshly coffee choices
The crab fried rice I ever
Great freshly made Thai food. Friendly service. Just perfect when you fed up of burgers, fries, pizza and Mexican food! Our kids loved it too.
The memory of this place lives rent free in my head.. I treasure the memory of a beautiful breakfast that hit the spot after a night out.. get the Happy Ribs!!
That’s the best Thai food in LA. I tried a lot, but here is the best pad tai and Tom yum you can ever find
Food was amazing, but service is so so, we paid in cash, server started to complaining about the tips and stated to show that we supposed to leave tips according to the percentage mentioned in the bill 20,22,25 %. He ruined the whole experience. It was our second time there in 10’days, and I don’t believe we will be there soon.
Take out was very tasty perfect savory garden flavors!
I had their ice cream for dessert and it was delicious!!
Wspaniała obsługa, przepyszne jedzenie z jasno oznaczonymi daniami bez glutenu. Polecam!
yesterday the bartender was rude to everyone and the service was of course at the lowest level, the food was served disgustingly
The restaurant located on La Brea Ave has a cozy atmosphere & has the best barbecue sticks called Mooping..
met up for dinner with a friend here on a friday night and got the tom yum soup with chicken and it was delightful! the flavors were really strong but balanced - the perfect ratio of sour and spicy. one of the best tom yum soups i’ve ever had in la! the inside of the restaurant is also super cute and ambient. the service was exceptional and the servers were so kind and checked in with us multiple times. would highly recommend this place!
my comfort food <3 i dream about the love triangles, it’s a joke, and thai fried rice.
If you are looking for great Thai Food Otus is the place. My Wife and I love their food. It is consistently good. I highly recommend Otus Thai Kitchen.
It's a pretty small place but the food and beverages are very good. I love their Thai teas and Vietnamese coffee.
My favorite dish here, so far, is the street noodle. My husband is vegan and also loves this spot.
Everything is delicious and has a good amount of spice.
Second time here. The food is delicious. However, the portions are very small for the price. Spicy Basil Chicken w/side of rice is $19, $24 w/ tax and tip, for a super small portion. I was able to finish the entire meal myself and still have room. This never happens at Thai restaurants for me. I’m usually contently full, leaving with an additional portion for later.
The atmosphere is nice, it’s a cute spot for a date. However, not sure it’s a staple that I’d order from when craving Thai again. It’s too expensive for the portion size.
My son and I had a very tasty lunch. We will visit again.

Old fashioned Fried Rice my new favourite dish <3 ❤️ loved every bite of it !!! The place is a Must!!
Otus is a wonderful local spot. The dining room is well arranged using white/neutral colors making the space feel open and clean.
The service is unpretentious, friendly, and fast.
Another notable plus to Otus is their thoughtful wine list filled with natural and organic wines.
The food has good flavor, mild and balanced spice/heat, and quite simply tasty. Their is only one reason why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. All the meats were tough. The happy ribs were bite size with plenty of surface area making each piece vulnerable to overcooking, leaving the soft center sparse. The chicken in the Tom Kha soup was all white meat, thinly sliced and to no fault of its own, over-boiled by the broth. Finally we had the pad thai with crispy pork belly; while this was the most tender and crispy, there were still parts that were too chewy to my liking.
As I deliver this review I recognize that it may be unfair as the meats were possibly prepared as they should be, and my preference is influenced by a culture that glorifies medium/rare meat.
This is absolutely one one my favorite places in my neighborhood. Started coming here after things started to re-open. From my first visit, the own was very welcoming and explained the menu to us. Also made suggestions. Every time I visit, I literally leave with a happy belly. Hehe. I try to change things up and I always leave satisfied. I love the vibe inside but also the back patio area. Staff is always so friendly and other customers always seem like they are having a great experience also. They also have adult beverages. Hehe. Please have a meal here. You will not regret it. -@angelepatino
My wife really love this!
Not sure why there are all these reviews raving about the food here. I ordered the Chinese Broccoli with Beef, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, and Pad Kee Mao with tofu. The broccoli and beef was dry over a HUGE bed of white rice with a limited amount of what the dish was actually supposed to consist of, and only had broccoli stems in it. The Spicy Basil Fried Rice tasted burnt. The Pad Kee Mao was bland and flavorless. Overall there was a serious lack of flavor in all three dishes other than the burnt taste of the fried rice and I’m super disappointed. Somebody else said it was like a flight meal and that was exactly my experience!
La comida está deliciosa por muy buen precio y la atención ni más que decir. Le agradecemos a Ned por estar pendiente de todo. Muy agradable el ambiente. Volveremos

This place is my go to when I feel like eating out. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is excellent. I especially like the Brioche French Toast if I’m dining in the morning, it is out of this world. Pair it with their gourmet
Coffee, it’s a great way to start the morning. As for as lunch and dinner I tend to lean toward the Kai-Kata, Khao Man Gai and or the Happy Ribs. Can’t get enough of this restaurant. 5 stars
Wonderful staff. And I’ll be thinking about that chicken rice bowl for WEEKS. Highly recommend.
Awesome place. Really enjoyed the food and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful.
The yellow curry is good. However, it's expensive for $18 without providing a free bowl of rice. ( Had to add $3 for it) 😞😞

Food is lovely! Breakfast all the time and open until 9PM. Delicious dishes. Happy Chicken is excellent and I really enjoyed Brioche French Toast. Coffee was good and strong.
I didn't get to try any dishes besides appetizers but the service was greight and there was just a little bit of parking on the other side of the building. I was not a fan of the calamari here, But I hope to visit again for a proper review.
Very cool place, I love having breakfast here❤
Our group was vegans and non-vegans and a dog: we liked every dish. Doggo loved the steamed chicken side which was a generous portion. Most of the menu items can be made vegan — just ask. I got the green curry and ate it ALL. Service was top notch. We sat in the back patio, which is on the smaller side: two picnic style tables that fit about 6 each and two couples’ tables. Overall not mind blowingly good but definitely good experience. Dishes were flavorful and filling.
Lovely service team
Modern Thai style breakfasts! Other tasties plus great Java!
I went here because of try guys and they went here to eat some food
I then went there and tried it out and it is as good as they say.
Service is great. Owner is welcoming. Good is DELICIOUS!
Wonderful! If I can I will give 10 from 5.
Our dishes were prepared pretty fast, so we didn’t wait a long. The portion is so big, but it was so delicious that I didn’t want to leave any leftovers at my dish.
Waiter is so welcoming and friendly 🥰 Feels that you came not as guest but as friend.
Thank you very much! See you next time ❤️
fried chicken is so good
Tried chicken shiitake bowl, pad Thai, and pork skewers. All good but not great. Don’t feel compelled to return.
They have a nice outdoor patio in the back.
They also only have two parking spots in the back of the restaurant.
So good—my favorite Thai restaurant in LA!!! And I have been to a LOT of them. It’s much more current and modern than most other Thai restaurants here, and more similar to younger restaurants in Thailand!
Delicious thai food with great, warm and attentive service. I had the khao soi with sliced chicken and loved it. Perfect flavour and great marinated chicken. Would definitely come back here. Also had a thai tea and enjoyed it. My friend got Tom Kha coconut soup and loved it.
Highly recommend the Green Curry fried rice. I love it with chicken but recently tried it with the crispy pork belly and WOW. inch thick crunch on the meat and they give you a great portion size :) enjoyed the thai tea also
Ok so this place is AMAZING. The best customer service and the food is to die for. We came at 8:20pm (they close at 9) and they were so welcoming. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee, crab pad Thai, pork pad Thai and garlic chicken street noodles and the mango sticky rice. All of the food was amazing but omg the mango sticky rice…. I’ll be dreaming about it for months until I come back 🥹🤍
Big time 5 stars. The food here is great, so good and some really cool dishes. The staff is great too
This place is one of the top restaurants in LA. A must. Food is incredible every single time! Has been outstanding for years. 10/10.
Some of the best thai food in Hollywood and really nice drinks. Breakfast menu is great, especially eggs and chicken bowl. Service is friendly and same folks have been working here for years so feels like a family business that they are taking good care of. I love the ambiance and meeting up with people here especially when we discussing Creative Society projects. It’s a lovely place, their french toast is probably the most famous thing on the menu and if you never tried it here, it’s worth it. Great place overall.
We had a lovely dinner after a long hike here! The food was lovely, The restaurant was a little loud but still nice. (Yet, I could barely hear the person across from me!)
Thai fried rice was AMAZING - although I had it without egg - I really recommend it!
Need a nice dinner and are close? Go for it!
Unfortunately we didn't stay for dessert and instead went to the Ralph's next door for it. We just didn't have time to wait!
The freshest Pad Thai. I adored the flavor of the dish, perfectly cooked noodles, and wonderful toppings. Friendliest waitstaff. Can’t wait to return when in West Hollywood. Had a Chai Latte post meal, was sweet and creamy.
Great location for a fantastic meal. Atmosphere is wonderful and I’d recommend the green curry!
Otus Thai kitchen rocks it!!
I stopped there on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch, starving, & had a great experience. Chinese short ribs w ribs and broth were tasty, and my Thai tea was the perfect pick me up. It's a warm, cozy lunch spot, perfect for hanging out w others or by oneself.
Best Crab Rangoon I’ve had in LA! Perfect light crispy and flavor balance - fire. My Pad See Eew was pretty cute to. My first order in Thai tasty experience - finally I have a go to.
Great place for Thai breakfast.
Fav: fried rice with housemade lemonade 😊
Price: reasonably priced by LA standards but a bit pricey relative to other Thai restaurants.
Food: delicious food that was adjusted according to our requests (vegan and soft tofu instead of fried tofu) flavor was great, I only wish the pad kee mao had been a bit spicier.
Service: attentive and fast service, really welcoming and friendly.
Vibes: quite different from the interiors of other Thai restaurants, it’s more on the minimalistic side, but still a warm atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend!
Great food grade service, just make sure you have $200 to pay for the bill cuz it's worth it and it's that damn good!..
FOOD
adapted style of thai food, which is not too spicy, salty, nor sour. good selection of interesting and delicious dishes on the menu. light and delicious. if you prefer your dishes more robust in flavor, ask them to make it spicier. “pet daai kap”

DON’T FORGET TO 👍
Ordered this at the restaurant. It was delicious and a large amount of chicken. Ordered it to go, and got a box of rice... with a smattering of chicken & mushroom. The dish is not even supposed to come with rice. $16 for this? Are you serious? 2 stars because it is still delicious..
Love this place ❤️
Great food. Atmosphere can be a bit loud.
Just like a hidden gem. We ordered Kai-Kata, Steamed Basil Mussels, happy belly and Crab Fried rice. I forgot to take a picture of the crab fried rice but it smells so good. Everything is yummy. Love their attention to detail on food plating. Will come back to try other items on their menu.
Came to Otus on a friend's recommendation and really enjoyed it! We had a huge party (11) and Otus was able to accommodate us without any issues though we may have been a little overwhelming to start the morning...
I began with a pink latte which is a latte made with Thai sala syrup. The flavor profile is similar to strawberry milk but a little more floral. A couple friends went with bottomless mimosas but remarked that it wasn't too special.
For appetizers we shared the roti and Ms Dang's crispy fried rice. Both were honestly delicious! The roti was prepared like a banana fosters french toast with roti substituting the toast. It was crispy, buttery, and similar to fried bananas! As for the crispy rice, it was done very well! I've had versions that were way too dry and crispy or too tangy from vinegar and fermented pork but this hit all the right notes and the crunchy bites from the leaves of romaine paired perfectly!
For my main, I went with the Moo Ping and OMG the pork skewers were TO DIE FOR! They were marinated and grilled to perfection! The accompanying vinegar dip was a little bit too acidic for me though. I really liked the accompaniments of papaya salad and sticky rice. Both paired perfectly with the super savory pork! I also liked using the remaining dressing off the papaya salad to dip and accompany the rice as it wasn't nearly as strong as the vinegar.
I tried bites from my friends' dishes and some really hit! The happy chicken was a must order but the happy ribs is a miss. The chicken was so crispy yet so juicy but the ribs were clearly over fried and so dry. The kai kata is unique! Getting a bite with the baguette, ground pork, Chinese sausage and creamy egg is really something to experience at least once!
Among the rest of my friends (aka the other side of the table), reviews were mixed. Both friends that ordered the shitake chicken rice bowl mentioned that it was a little bland but the one that ordered khao kai jiew gave it a thumbs up. There were also two thumbs up for the the "it's a joke" jook. By far the worst menu blunder though was the tofu street noodles. My friend said that there was zero flavor. He tried to fix it with a lot of sambal and then soy sauce but it wasn't until we ordered some peanut sauce ($3) that he finally enjoyed his meal.
Our entire meal with gratuity came to about $370. I'd say it's safe to plan that your meal will average about $25 with drinks.
Very rude I politely them to take drinks out bag so I can securely deliver the drinks because it will spill in the bag when I deliver in my motorcycle been doing for 2 years and I know what will happen and was very rude and refused to remove the drinks saying it won't spill then precedes to flip a drink in front of me and it started slipping
I went to aet ther today good food BUT. The went after me on the parking lot, demand more tips chased me like a criminal I said I don't have more cash with, me and they said if you don't tip don't come back here ,race profile
Visited twice in our 3 day trip. Delicious food, seating in clean and modern, friendly staff, love the drinks. I would love for fresh hot thai spices to be available instead of the packs of chili sauce.
Excellent food and good service!
The food was fantastic, the setting was ok but a little dark. I wish they had a dessert!
Nice
Good place for family and friends
Love the atmosphere
Love this place so much, seriously one of the best restaurants in LA.
Always great and always consistent
Our go to Thai spot. Everything I’ve had has been amazing. Love the crispy rice on fire. A must have if you like spice!
Great food here no matter what time of day. They've got all day breakfast and fantastic options including meat free ones. The omelette (khao kai jiew) is my new favorite way to enjoy an egg!
Authentic and delicious Thai food with attentive service and relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
This is our favorite Thai restaurant. My wife and I have taken everyone who has visited us, and they all ask to go back upon their next visit. Good service, tasty food, great prices, and we always leave full without huge American portions. Staples include curry, Thai fried rice, moo ga tiem pork, street noodles, pad Thai, and pad see ew (although the last one hasn't been as good the past few visits). They have a small part in the back if you'd like to eat in the fresh air but we always eat inside. The corkage fee is also reasonable.
Surprisingly disappointed! Super dry chicken. Last time eating here.
To die for... food is GREAT. Coffee and dessert priceless.
Always amazing food!! They have tons of options for the Gluten free and vegan folks out there and if you wonder if it can be either of those, just ask. The prices are slightly higher than other Thai places in the area, slightly smaller portions but always portions that are filling…plus the flavour of the food plus the freshness always makes up for it. Highly recommended!!
