"Chicken and Rice" is a popular street food in Thailand that many people would consider a "comfort food". Consisted of a seasoned rice topped with 3 types of chicken of your choice: poached, battered and deep fried, and grilled. Served along side a delicious soup to help clear your palette.
A wonderful hole-in-the-wall eatery. The service was great! The food was fantastic! I am truly glad I found this place. The whole Nut Tree Plaza is nice, especially this time of year. The Plaza is decorated with Christmas cheer. There is an active carousel, a lil' train that runs kids around and a play area. Not to mention all the businesses and the full variety food court.
I ordered the crispy rolls and drunken noodles with shrimp. I loved it all. The sweet chili sauce was perfect, especially to top the egg rolls. The noodles were SO flavorful, as well. There were four rolls served first, as appetizers. The plate of noodles, shrimp and veggies was so plentiful, I had enough leftover for another meal.
The chef is the waitress's brother. I love a family run business.
Overall it is a very nice restaurant, very chill and relaxing to dine in, as the place is quiet and not crowded.
The food is more like Thai style but has a modified taste to suit the environment, not bad. The food portions is big, basically you can eat 2 person for 1 plate dish.
No any recommendations as I only take one dish thos round.
I had their Original Chicken and it was one of the best Thai style chicken rice, I've had in the Bay Area. The meat was cooked just nice and the rice was fragrant.
However, I'm docking it down to 3 stars as they didn't boil the whole chicken, but instead cooked using pre-sliced breast meat. This is now how you make authentic chicken rice. Unfortunately, many Thai restaurants take this lazy way of cooking
I have gluten allergies and had the garlic mushroom chicken and sweet and sour chicken and in loooove!! I havent had since being diagnosed and very happy, i didnt get a reaction. Very happy they have decent gluten free options. The only thing i wish i asked was to put rice on the side as it was a lot of soup vs on same plate but not a deal breaker, food was delicious! Will be back when im in town.
Not much seating, but food was decent. Our server was very friendly and quick.
My friend got the Thai Iced tea and was very disappointed in how much ice there was vs how much tea. I had hot jasmin tea, and it was very good.
My Thai chicken salad was excellent. My friend said his Thai fried rice was good. He asked for hot, not Thai Hot, and he thought it was not hot enough. Oh well, we all have different tastes I guess.
All in all very good. I would return
Hainan Chicken is terrible, dry and thinly sliced white meat (5 thin slices); which is not at all how it's supposed to be cooked/served. The stir-fry flat noodle dish my teen had was of a tiny portion. Basically all of our orders are of a small portion, totally not worth the price. We wanted to give small businesses a chance, but will def not go back again. Do not recommend.

Our favorite Bay Area Thai spot!

Lim is the owner and she was the one who served us! She’s super nice! Food was delicious and provided us with excellent service! The place is in the middle of action there in Vacaville. Right next to ice cream, boba place etc. It’s a family owned business and we highly recommend it! RJ and Charinette:)
Yummy

Best fresh Thai food, small and friendly
It’s a small Thai restaurant with BIG restaurant price. But their food is just incredible. I recommend Thai tea, chicken rice and green curry
They make some really good eggplant dishes. The red curry is also very good.
It's so delicious and fresh, pretty clean place to go eat 😋
Great food and lots of it. Will come back. So good
We stopped here for a quick bite. Good food and service. We had the tofu pad thai and yellow chicken curry.

Ever since they opened, it became my family’s favorite place! The food is always good, and the customer service is amazing! 100% recommend
The yellow curry had no flavor. No color. Not even sure it qualifies as curry. Vegetables were hard as rocks. I love curry, I look forward to curry, & this curry made me very disappointed. I could cry.
PS. rice was terrible too.
PPS. I went to Canes instead and gave our curry dinner away to a homeless man.
The owner was wonderful. We have been looking for good Thai food and Lims hit the mark.
Excellent food. Don't let the small space fool you. Their service is excellent and very attentive to their customers. The female owner is very kind ✨️. Great dining experience

Great place for a quick bite. You can easily share one dish for two people. The place exceeded my expectations
You need to try this place! My husband and I love their food, service, and overall customer service. Order their shrimp pad Thai, garlic mushroom stir fry, green curry, fresh spring rolls, fried shrimp, chicken wings, Japanese curry, beef soup, hot teas, and/or Thai iced Tea. You will not be disappointed!
The food was excellent. Very fresh and there are different spice levels upon request. Surprisingly good. Just FYI medium is pretty spicy in my opinion.
The food was great! I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Saw a previous negative review about the woman going from the front to the back helping in the kitchen without gloves or washing her hands, so I was watching intently. The woman working in the front was absolutely doing this. I can't say I saw her touching anything with her bare hands, which is the only reason I didn't walk out, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did.
Me and my husband's food didn't come out at the same time, but when it did, it was piping hot. I got the yellow curry with shrimp, and my issue was that the tails were still on the shrimp, the shrimp weren't fully deveined, and I feel like there was too much coconut milk in the curry because it wasn't even really yellow. My husband enjoyed his food, but I didn't appreciate having to dig shrimp out curry to take the tails off, then having to cut off the part that wasn't deveined.
As far as the service, the lady didn't even ask if we wanted anything else when we finished out entree she just brought our check out and walked away, which I didn't appreciate. Overall, the experience was just ok for me, but my husband enjoyed his food.
Best thai resto I’ve tried in Vacaville so far! Big service, great service, kid friendly.
I found them accidentally when I was looking for somewhere to eat on the way from San Francisco to Rocklin, and from now on it is my place to go to when i return home. My family always makes me a list of what they want and they’re never dissapointed!
Tried this place for the first time the other night and it was AMAZING!! We had their fried rice and the pad see ew and they were absolutely delicious! So much flavor, and their portions are great we had plenty left over. The place has definitely got so so much better under the new ownership, the customer service was great too, very helpful staff. We will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone if you’re craving some really good thai food!
My son took me there for dinner. At first it started out nice. The food was good until I watched the server lady went back to the cook area and help out without washing her hands. Then she wipe her nose before grabbing bunch of noodles. No gloves on. I'll never eat there ever again.
The flavor was so good! I split an eggplant/tofu plate with my husband, and it was a great share size. Absolutely delicious!
Would super recommend!
Excellent service and great food all around. We will definitely be making Lim's a regular spot where we dine.
Under New ownership (previously Chicken Hawkers). Lim's Thai Cuisine at Nut Tree, Vacaville is amazing! Great Menu, so many options. Great taste, large portions. Wonderful owners. SoooooGood!!! Just around the corner from Fenton's Ice Cream and Jelly Belly.
