Intimate, upscale-casual restaurant serving familiar Thai fare such as curries & noodle dishes.
Our group of 6 arrived late dinner (around 7:30pm). They weren’t busy at that time, so we got seated right away.
The restaurant was decorated in cozy and warm lights with holidays decorations. The host was very welcome.
We ordered a few dishes and they were delicious and pretty authentic for Thai cuisine. Many people in our group loved the Pineapple Spareribs, but my personal favorites were the Papaya Salad and Pad See Yew.
Would love to visit again the next time we visit LA!
Me and my boyfriend went here on a Saturday evening and were very satisfied. The food is literally amazing! The place is really small but very nice and with a nice atmosphere. Even if we went around 7 we were very lucky and got seat immediately but the place was almost full. We didn’t wait too much for being served and the pananang shrimp curry was hot at the right level (I love hot!)
I would warmly recommend this place and would like to go back soon!
A Perfect Spot for Special Occasions!
My family and I love celebrating special occasions here! Although the prices are steep, the decadent and flavorful food makes it well worth the splurge! My family's go to dishe is the Tom Kha Soup to share and my sister's favorite dish is the Pad See Eew, which she can't stop raving about.
Standouts:
- Authentic spice levels
- Kind and welcoming staff
- Must-try dishes: Eggplant Curry and refreshing Basil Lemonade! As for dessert, the Thai Tea Layered Crepe Cake (so satisfying) and Mango Sticky Rice
Ideal for milestone events and celebrations :p
Best Thai in town hands down. Service is excellent and the food always comes out fresh and hot. Be warned, spicy is VERY spicy but that’s how it should be. My favorite dish anywhere is pad see ew and this is the top as nowhere else you’ll see the beans in the mix (they’re supposed to be there all the time but you rarely see them these days). Please don’t hesitate to come by.
We've been loyal patrons of this establishment and have always appreciated the quality of both the food and service. However, during our most recent visit, we experienced an unusually long wait for our meal, which ultimately arrived cold. When we requested that the server simply reheat our food, she returned with an incredibly rude attitude, insisting that the food was not cold and suggesting that if we were dissatisfied, we should just leave.
I was truly taken aback by her response and found myself in an argument with her, alongside my wife, all while trying to maintain a calm environment for our child. It's disheartening to see a place we once enjoyed lose sight of customer service. This experience has left us feeling very disappointed, and while it's unfortunate to write such a negative review, we feel it's important to share our experience so others are aware of the poor service and the subpar quality of the food we received this time.
Delicious Thai dishes for lunch. This restaurant was absolutely great. The prices were good with the amount they served. Quality was great too and looks so appetizing. Ordered Pad see ew, curry, and sticky rice. Great customer service and pleasant atmosphere.
We are a party of two that arrived at a very busy time on a Friday night. When we put our name down, there were three parties of two right before us and those were the only names on the list and those parties were seated right as we were having our name put down.then we sat and waited which we expected we’d have to do. While waiting We saw a party of 7 and a party of five have their name added to the list and they got seated pretty quickly. And we continued to sit there. When we asked about when we were going to be seated, we were told we would be seated at a table that was finishing up that was the same size as where the party of five was just seated. We left the restaurant after that as we were not going to continue to wait for a table to finish. We did get a call about 10 minutes after leaving the restaurant that our table was ready and when I explained that we had left, she tried to tell us that she was trying to get us the best seat possible and didn’t want us to sit in the corner where the party of 5 had been seated. Well, my mind I don’t think you put a party of five in a corner, and if that’s the truth she should have asked us if we’d like the table in the corner or wait for the better table. We were next on the list! I will say the food is excellent from previous visits but do not go as a party of two at a busy time because they will seat larger parties first. Or order take out.
I love this place! Such a cozy vibe and genuinely friendly service. The flavors are always so tasty, authentic and on point. The best Thai food around!
Food is good, but be ready to wait if you are picking up. Second time in a row that they have been 20+ minutes late with my order. And nothing offered while you wait. DO NOT ORDER online if you are not ready to wait!!

Lunch specials are a good value.
Staff is always friendly and attentive.

This place was amazing. I brought my Mommy. She fell in love. The food was delicious & the customer service was amazing. 🥰🥰🥰
Great atmosphere, good food. The service was a little slow for such a small place but they were all very nice. The food was good and hot, very fresh.
Quick service, waiters were very kind and helpful, food was just the right portion. Highly recommend!

We’ve been there many times and enjoy every dish we order! Their Sticky Rice with Coconut Ice Cream is definitely one of a kind!
Besides, services is great! Our attendant always makes sure we like our orders.
Will not wait too long to return!
Good lunch specials with lots of options.
Excellent service and excellent food!!!
Very tasty. I love Thai food, but this place goes an extra step or spice to make it memorable. Service was excellent. Try their leechy tea.
Good food, friendly service. Best coconut cake ever!!!
The best Thai food in Thousand Oaks. Authentic taste. Wide variety. Reasonable price.
Amazing food!
Best Thai in the Conejo! Food was hot, fresh and super tasty. Prices are better than most and worth every penny!
It was my first time there. I will recommend it and go back. Parking is a bit limited, but there may be available parking nearby.
Delicious
Delicious and they were very busy.
Owned and operated by wonderful family. The food is amazing! The service is on point. Repeat customer highly recommend going.
This is in a strip mall that only has curb cuts for wheelchair users (like me) at the far ends of the storefronts. Unfortunately, due to Bangkok’s exterior table placement, I couldn’t even access their front door without asking seated guests to literally move their table, which I obviously didn’t want to do. Very disappointing that I couldn’t even get inside when I was so excited to try this place. They could vastly improve their accessibility by adding a small one-step ramp out front (or by removing their two obtrusive outdoor tables).
Great food and service!
Best Thai food in the area. The curries are great but maybe skip the pad Thai because it’s pretty bland.
Great good and friendly service
Good
Love Bangkok Avenue. Their food is fabulous, the service is terrific, everyone is always so nice. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant, no music, which we prefer (most places have awful music playing or its too loud, or both). The bathroom is spotless and nicely done. Recommend the Panang Seafood, the curry is amazing, could have it just as a soup. We eat here regularly.
Very nice cafe with an upscale feel. The food is excellent. I loved the cucumber salad and the ribs were falling off the bones, just the way I like them.
Best Thai food since I moved to conejo valley.
Excellent Thai food. Delicioosa...good service.
Im a uber eats driver and deliver alot from this restaurant recently i got a free drink to try when i was delivering, was so grateful i didnt have a drink for myself in the car that day. The employee gave me a absolutely delicious drink, "Basil Lemonade" you will either loveeeeee it or dislike it. My family doesnt like it but its my new favorite drink. I went back recently to buy some!!! I got basil lemonade, cucumber salad. The cucumber salad is INCREDIBLE, i love the vinaigrette that implies that its light vinaigrette hehehe its not but im in love with this dish as well. Next ill be trying there thai garden salad that comes with a peanut sauce. I will be a returning customer weekly. There service is amazing and the energy from the employees are very kind. Im not done, i also got handed ANOTHER FREE DRINK, i got to try the thai tea which im drinking right now *you can save your drinks in your fridge for days, still yummy.* and OMG i love love love the thai tea and i had no idea but you can add boboa to your drink for $1. Just the best experience. Cant wait to try more of the menu. Thanks guys!!!!!
Love the food! It's always good/fresh and the staff is amazing.
The food was very good.
They told us it would be ready for pickup in 15 minutes or less, and then we got there 15 minutes later and had to wait 45 minutes for the food while they kept telling us how busy they were over and over.
Don't mind if it's going to take an hour but don't tell us the wrong thing just so we can sit there unhappily.
I was so happy to have recently found this place.
Unfortunately, I went in on Christmas Eve to pick up an order of wonton soup and the price had not only gone up $4, but the large order which usually contained 2 containers of soup only had 1.
While I do understand that prices need to go up, especially now. They shouldn’t have changed the quantity. $17 for soup for one, is too much.
Actually the best Thai I’ve had in a long time and I grew up in the LA area. Going to be back frequently it was fantastic
Tried drunken noodles with tofu, they were great. Right balance of spices. Highly recommend
Wow! Great food, great service! I started with the Thai garden salad, it was obviously house made peanut dressing and probably the best I've ever had. The Pad Thai was absolutely delicious! One warning, I asked for medium hot and it was more like 3/4 hot. I don't mind that, but you might, so be careful. I have a big appetite, but could not finish dinner... Lunch tomorrow! Five stars!
So good! Really high quality food and the staff is super nice.
Absolutely wonderful. The food was fantastic. Thank you.
Love this place. I've tried plenty dishes so far. Fan of the Red curry and the Tom yum. Tai tea is good here (don't forget to mention lite ice bcz sometimes ice is too much). Great service, can make adjustments to spice level you want. Very talented cook behind the doors for sure. Thank you for the food!
One of the best thai food I have ever eaten
Just a stone's throw away from my new workplace, so we decided to have lunch here. Food was good and in hefty serving sizes. Service was quick and our server was friendly. I was just on hungry to take photos! Will surely be back.
Overall Good and tasty food.
Try their PadThai and Basil Chicken
Delicious Thai food.
Reasonably quick service. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, but a LOT of take outs, which tells you the foods gonna be good. We tried the red curry, and garlic pepper chicken, both were really good. Our 6 yo loved the pad Thai! Highly recommend!
GREAT Thai food, will come again. My friends recommended the place and we got their pad Thai and drunken noodles. Really good, idk what authentic would taste like but I know it tasted really good. Good spicy too. Good prices, was about $10 a person which is pretty solid for a real dine in experience for broke high schoolers
Fantastic crew and food. I'm partial to their Pineapple Curry and iced Thai coffee. My friend loves the Spicy Basil Wok.
This place, is THE place!
Since opening day they’ve put out the best Thai food I’ve had anywhere! I love the passion and clean tastes and textures these people put into their food! I now live 10 minutes from Portland Oregon where good Thai food is abundant, BUT... Bangkok Avenue is still my favorite Thai restaurant. I look forward to a meal here whenever I come down to SoCal. Every dish I’ve had so far has been delicious, and I’ve had a good majority of the menu! Crab Cream Puffs and Fresh Rolls? I love em’! Tom Kha or Yum I get every time. Ginger Ginger and Veggie Delight ordered Spicy are also favorites. I’m currently craving the Seafood Panang.
I wish you the best of luck for many years to come Bangkok Avenue!
The Thai Tea was great! Not too sweet, which is just how I like it.
Pad see yew it's my favorite
Ordered yellow chicken curry and sweet sticky rice with coconut ice cream. Very good. Seriously..
Dr. Nguyen's office go to for authentic Thai food
Their food is okay, but not for the price that charge.
amazing and delicious thai cuisine! one of my favourites
Do not order takeout because it tastes like leftovers evidently they don't throw nothing away, they only soften it up with lots of oil not fresh even a little bit very trash gross
I Love Great Food !! I enjoy Restaurants like Spagos in LA and Crustacean in Beverly Hills and so on . You will not be disappointed with Bangkok Avenue absolutely the BEST THAI FOOD !!! I Love ❤️ you guys thank you very much for being so delicious 😋
Best Thai food I've found in Ventura County.
Lunch menu available. We like this Thai place best than all the others in TO. Parking can be difficult.
OMG! Wonderful little Thai restaurant. Wife and I loved it. Great service and great choices. The squid is cooked to perfection and the spice is spot on. Can not wait to go and try everything on the menu. Keep it up!
Okay food. Service needs to improve. It feels like you're the one accommodating the servers instead of vice versa.
Don’t Go! They let 10 People stand outside only to tell you there’s reservation so you can sit there for an hour. They don’t share with you the number of reservations ahead of you
Love the food here !!
Great food and service. Love this place.
Got take out so this might not apply if you dine in. The chicken basil had a ton of bamboo shoots and was missing something. The pad Thai had very old chicken but was decently tasteful. The green curry had those frozen peas and carrots...definitely not authentic thai. However the service was great and the food was well packaged. The taste is decent, my gripe is just about the authenticity of the dishes and they aren't authentic in my opinion.
However my brother and family went a while back ago and liked it a lot so either an off night or things have gone down hill...
Great food and excellent server.
Great food, friendly crew, authentic flavors. More 'family diner' than 'fancy dinner', and popular because of that. I will return!
Amazing place- yummy food and fast service!
Excelente menú, buena atención y precios cómodos
Good food
Excellent
Always solid place for good Thai
Delish! Very good Lunch options!!
Drunken Noodles was good, Coconut soup was over salted. Service friendly
Best Thai in Conejo and always excellent. Have gone for years and the family that owns it is wonderful in addition to making awesome food. Drunken Noodles (spicy) are my absolutely favorite. Definitely craveable.
Great food
Excellent!!
Great lunch special
The restaurant is clean, the food is outstanding and the service is great. I drive up the grade from Oxnard to Thousand Oaks to get my Thai food fix. Only downside of this gem is that it’s closed Sunday and Monday. Highly recommend this place.
Quick and attentive. Great food !
I was visiting for business and stopped in for lunch. The service was good and quick. I ordered the Crab fried rice. The fried rice actually contained a decent amount of crab which was a pleasant surprise. The portion was large (unfortunately I could not take with me as I had no way to safely store). I also tried the coconut ice cream and sticky rice. It was really good too. I was stuffed full and happy.
Always tasty. Great service.
Fantastic. Best Thai food evet.
1st time!! I ordered the yellow curry lunch special. It was 10.00 and came with a soup to start with . Soup was delicious. Then our plate was served, salad was nice and fresh the wonton was tasty! (Extra start for being vegetarian) great service.
We had to sit at the bar bcus the restaurant was packed. AND tables had been reserved so maybe call ahead :)
The food is consistently incredible. I have been back many times. The flavors are absolutely amazing. The owner is super nice and friendly and some how seems to remember everyone’s orders , even though she never writes anything down, and remembers it next time you come in. Great staff, great food, and very clean. The best Thai food around period.
Very good curry
The first thing we noticed when we walked in was a clean, well-updated restaurant...oh and the waitress's smiling face. We were very happy to know that they can make our favorite dishes vegan style and delicious. Peach, the waitress, is very knowledgeable when it comes to dietary specifications like "Vegan" and happily suggests modifications. My friend and I go here almost every week and after just a few visits Peach already knew our orders and modifications by heart. She is such a wonderful example of excellent customer service. On top of the fantastic service, the food is absolutely delicious. It's consistently amazing and the portions are enough to fill me up (although not enough for leftovers). We love this place!
They noodles were over cooked they had too much sugar. The soup was not good and the banana didn't taste good. Very sad. And over price on top of not being good.
You have to drive to LA for good Thai food. Jitlata on sunset. The Red Square on Hollywood or Palms...
This is a new restaurant that opened few weeks back. The food was one of the best. We ordered Thai Garden Salad with House Made Peanut Dressing, Green Curry with White Rice and Drunken Noodles. They are very knowledgeable about food preferences for vegetarians. As a vegetarian, they made sure that the dishes we ordered were without animal products such as oyster or fish sauce. The wait staff (Peach and her sister) are excellent and very welcoming of customers coming and trying there new restaurant. They gave us 15% discount on our bill and gave us two Thai Ice Tea for free. We would definitely be back at this restaurant soon.
I walked in 25 min before closing when the sign said open on a Saturday night. The workers there acted like they didn’t want to serve me. One of them go and ask the kitchen then approached me telling me I can’t dine in I only can take away. We I was leaving an older couple walks in and they seat them. They blow my kind away for the pick and chose service they have and then they ask me if I still want to eat. What a very bad representation for the restaurant. When you have such unwelcoming people who work there. The owner should pay attention to this behavior. Change your hours online and turn off you open sign if you don’t want to receive customers anymore. No stars indeed
Best thai food in Thousand Oaks, change my mind!!!
Execlente lugar limpió y comida sabrosa
This place is awesome. Food came out quickly, hot, and friggin delicious. The service was also super friendly and attentive with great personality. Definitely coming back and trying new stuff. We had pineapple ribs, yellow curry, garlic pepper broccoli, and pork dumplings and they were all fantastic. Great spot to share a bunch of dishes.
My one and only thai place is thousand oaks area. The food tastes amazing. especially pad-thai and red-curry :) Their lunch special keeps my taste buds and wallet happy. I am going back there today haha
All the classics are done well, but also the desserts. I cant believe we never tried them before but I'm glad we did finally. My goodness. Very creative.
Finest dining experience ever. Super delicious food. 5 star quality chef. Not joking. Best ingredients. Amazing presentation. Also, little known fact: They serve amazing desserts. Out of this world. All made from scratch and decadent tasting with out too much sweetness. Delicious.
Very pleasant experience. Polite staff and good food
Amazing !
Great food, great service. Best Thai in the area
Taste perfect delicious ! The best Thai Food in LA
honestly the best thai restaurant in Huntington Beach. I've JUST tried this for the first time. I was hesitant to try because I've been going to other Thai restaurants in HB for a few years as a regular, but I won't name any out of respect. Some of the Thai restaurants here in HB are incredible, but Bangkok Avenue has more of an edge.
I ordered the Short Rib Panang Curry, it was delicious. My husband and I both shared this, and we also shared the Crying Tiger. We both could not decide which one we wanted so we just shared! The Crying Tiger had tender steak with delicious sauces to dip in, I could not be any more happy with my order.
Solid Thai, but not special.
This small Thai restaurant has five star quality food. And a great wine list of hand selected wines that go very well with the food. Gotta try the scallops and eggplant. Everything we had there was amazing but that dish was magical.
I recommend this place food taste awesome
Delicious food..I was so hungry I forgot to snap a pic :)
Awesome Thai food in thousand oaks very cozy service was great and the food was delicious and full of flavor
