Was checking around for some Thai food and this one happened to catch my eye and it did not disappoint it’s a small business family running this restaurant the food here is 🔥 they have a good amount of lunch specials to choose from under $13 and other options to choose from. I happened to get the yellow curry with chicken and definitely given a 10/10 the texture and flavor was perfect it super delicious and freshly made comes with a side of white rice one cream cheese ragoon and side salad the portion size is just perfect honestly got me full throughout the day. Also there is street parking and parking in the back

Just tried Kaohorm Kitchen for the first time and it was fantastic. I was craving veggies and had a dish with pumpkin, tofu, and a ton of veggies. The sauce was so good -- the right balance of umami with a hint of sweetness. The server was super friendly and my food came out quickly. The dining room sits about 20. There was a steady stream of people picking up takeout as well. Highly recommend for yummy Thai.

Yellow Kerry and Shrimp Tempura Combo. Chief recommended dish. Love it. Not too much creamy and crispy shrimp till the last bite. Recommend!!!! Must try 😘

You can taste real orange in the orange chicken sauce and the chicken was so crispy! I like that you can add chicken, beef, etc. to the noodle menu. My chicken pad Thai was absolutely delicious and was a generous serving. In addition, the price was very affordable, the service was great, and the ambiance was chill and relaxing. I highly recommend this place.

What a gem of a spot! Just tried it last night for the first time. The seafood chicken soup was fantastic. The seafood Pad See Yew was very plentiful w seafood. Fantastic little spot.

Great little Thai place in the middle of big businesses. Got the Chicken Larb salad to go. Open until 10 pm on week nights. The Chicken Larb was delicious! Minced chicken with mint and with flavorful lime juice, onions and cilantro. Well portioned and priced too!

I love KAOHORM KITCHEN!! I hosted a birthday party for 14 people and I wanted to cater some delicious thai food for the event. I messaged Kaohorb kitchen to ask about catering options through google and they responded immediately! The guy who I was messaging with was super responsive and helpful. He even checked in after the event to make sure everything went well! The food was was also delicious! We had so many leftovers that everyone got to pack a meal home :) Definitely recommended this restaurant for future events!! I loved the food, the smooth ordering process, and the generosity of kaohorm kitchen!! thank you!

Hidden gem, my favorite Thai restaurant in the valley. My favorites include their pumpkin curry, pineapple fried rice, and pad see ew. Interior is clean and cozy too with great service.

I used to lived right across the street from this place back in 2017 and I still can’t get over how delicious their pumpkin curry was! If you’re in town, GO! The food is so flippin good.

My favorite Thai in the valley. A hidden gem. Yellow curry and pad see ew are delicious. The same (one) server is there whenever I go, and she is great. Feels like clean, home cooking. Warm, modern atmosphere.

I would recommend this place! I ordered the Pad Thai and by friend ordered the Pad See Ew both orders were very good! This place is friendly and very clean. I have also ordered the Chicken Satay!
The customer service is always fantastic and the employees are friendly and respectful. The food portions are great and priced good. I have ordered pickup before and the food is always ready for pickup. I gave this place 5 Stars because the food is always hot and fresh!!

Absolutely horrible experience ordering from this place. We waited over an hour and a half to get our delivery. Not only did they forget to place our order, we couldn't get in touch with them to check the status of it. Ended up having to drive there in person to cancel it and wasn't offered any type of compensation. Do NOT order from this place.

Superb food

Me and my friend both got food poisoning from eating here. Stay far away if you value your health. It put me out of commission for a couple of days. You guys should shut your doors. I read back and this isn't the first time that someone has gotten sick from eating here. 100% something that could have been prevented. I would walk in the back and slap the chef in the face if I was the owner.

I got sick from eating this plus the rice taste like onions but extremely like onions and the shrimp looked weird

This restaurant has some incredible Thai food at great prices. I usually go for their fried rice or basil stir fry, but anything else I've had is great. The staff is always very friendly and they serve quickly.

Homey, affordable, and yummy. Kao has the qualities you expect out of a neighborhood Thai place. Sometimes it's easy to take Thai food for granted given how common they are, but Kao's curry might actually get you to re-appreciate the complexity of an unidentifiable mixture of spices.

This place was good an year ago, I tried dinner recently the food was dry and over cooked and very greasy.

Wife and I always get takeout or delivery here. Good food, low prices, friendly staff.

We usually get pad Thai, Penang curry, and kao noodles!

This place has a not so great location but really good food at a low price. I come here with my coworkers all the time for lunch and you get a lot for just $8. It doesn't have the curb appeal but it's worth a try

We love it. We order spicey egg plant and yellow curry with chicken every other week.

Have eaten here several times in the past two years or so. Never had a complaint. Had takeout the other night however and was the WORST thai I have ever had. Had pad se ew and the noodles were not only overcooked but had a strange taste to them..almost like they had cooked something in the pan before them and the taste had remained-and it wasn't good. Perhaps a slight fish taste? There was also very little of the sauce that makes the dish so good (sweet soy or black bean depending on where you go) and the noodles were clumped together. The broccoli in the dish also had a strange perhaps powdered MSG ? flavor-didn't help the food. Sorry, it was just plain gross. Also had the crab and cheese wontons. The cream cheese inside the wontons was watery and had a congealed consistency. The entire meal was like eating something you really didn't like as a kid, just to get it down. $20 for one person. What a waste of money. Hope the restaurant sees this and improves their food.

We love Kao Cafe. We have mostly ordered for delivery and have eaten at their location a couple of times. They are always friendly and the food is some of the best comfort food in the neighborhood.

Food: This is the best thai place in Sherman Oaks we've found since moving here. Such great prices. I always get the Pad See Ew and Panang Curry (I basically gauge every thai places by these two dishes - Kao Cafe passes with flying colors. This is also where I discovered THAI ICED COFFEE! It's just as amazing as Thai Iced Tea, possibly even better! This is definitely my go to neighborhood thai restaurant.

Atmosphere: Semi-moody and relaxing. Great place to chill after a long day at work and chat with friends.

Service: Great.

Usually this place is great, but every once and a while it's really slow.

We found this place a few months ago and it's the best Thai food we've had in awhile. It takes a bit to get your food as the kitchen is small and they always have lots of take out orders. I highly recommend this place.
