I used to avoid Thai places because the dishes have never been to my tastes. However, after having the Mongolian beef and yellow curry at Thai Basil, I keep thinking about how I want to come back and try more items. Never thought I'd be looking forward to eating Thai food again, but hey, look at me! I am very satisfied by the food and service here, especially the prices. The Mongolian beef was enough for 3 servings (could've been 4 but I got a little gluttonous on the 3rd time) and the curry was big enough for 2, maybe 3 if you don't eat a lot. Try this place out if you want some yummy Thai food.
We had a party at home for which we wanted to cater Thai food and tried many local places in Santa Clarita before selecting Thai Basil.
Their food quality was wonderful and their portion sizes were very generous. The owner spend lot of time with us discussing the options. We selected Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rice, red curry and chicken cashew nuts as the menu, they added the spring rolls and steamed rice as complimentary.
We need to support our local business so they can flourish and we definitely recommend Thai Basil when you craving Thai food.
When this was Ingdoi Thai we never had a problem, everything was delicious. But once they changed names or new management it's not the same. Like for instance I got BBQ Steak Thai Style and the whole dish was terrible. The steak wasn't BBQed at all i had to brown it myself. Also it was all fat and barely any meat. I had to pick off so much fat it was insane! I don't know where you're getting ur meat from but this was inedible. And the larb isn't the same either, it's missing all its spices. I'm saddened by this because it was our favorite go to Thai restaurant but its too expensive for what it is now. Guess we gotta let this place go.
You must try the red curry of you like spice. This place has my all-time favorite Thai tea. I've tried all SCV Thai teas and this spot is ranked #1 hands down. Our other go to fish here is the pad see ew
This is a hidden gem. It's pretty hidden out in Santa Clarita on Bouquet Canyon and Canyon. Ing Doi in Thai means hill and this restaurant is definitely hidden in the hills of SCV. I always get their roasted duck curry. Of course duck is hard to find out here in Santa Clarita.
The pad Thai was tasty and contained the perfect Thai flavors mixed with sweetness, saltiness, and sourness from the lime and tamarind and of course the peanuts and bean sprouts made it crunchy.
Highly recommended Thai Food in SCV
This place is underrated, all items that we have had are delicious and they are pretty quick too. We usually get takeout and the order is always correct and done before I arrive, bravo!
I ordered a delivery of shrimp spicy fried rice and requested it to be extra spicy, but the dish was not spicy at all and was actually sweet. This also happened with another shrimp dinner special I ordered, which came with a sweet sauce despite my request for spiciness. Overall, the Thai food was very average. I won't be ordering from this place again.
Five stars to the absolutely delicious pad see ew ! They made it for me gluten-free! I ordered through Uber eats delivery, and I called ahead and asked them some questions. The woman answering the phone was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Thank you so much to the cooks and staff for giving me an opportunity to eat one of my favorite dishes, which I have not enjoyed for many years due to gluten allergies as well as allergies to onion and shellfish. They had no problems accepting my requests to use only gluten-free soy sauce when they stir fry up the pad see ew rice noodles.
She even explained that they accommodate gluten-free all the time with no issues in that they are very comfortable and familiar with the process. Assured me that they have specifically gluten-free soy sauce on hand. I had no symptoms or difficulty with the dishes that I ordered from them. And trust me, even a bit of gluten and my pain levels tell no lies.
I would only give maybe 3.5 stars for the fried rice that I requested be made with gluten-free soy sauce. They normally make it with onions so they must have had to make it special (thank you for that!). But it didn't have much flavor and I'm pretty sure they didn't use any soy sauce(added a tiny bit GF from home). I love the bite-size chunks of tomato throughout but I was sorely missing the mint (or usual basil) leaves which were not added.
Back to the amazing pad see ew, oh man the broccoli was just the perfect, freshest stuff, the perfect amount of it, and cooked only a bit, still nice and crunchy, how I like it. I love those cute little thin slices of carrots shaped in a sunstar pattern! And there was so much chicken! Next time I think I'll try the tofu.
🙏🏼🥰🙏🏼🥰🙏🏼🥰 Thank you so much again, my eyes literally watered while I was eating your pad see ew. Just delightful.
Food was delicious! Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are a must!
You must try the red curry of you like spice. This place has my all-time favorite Thai tea. I've tried all SCV Thai teas and this spot is ranked #1 hands down. Our other go to fish here is the pad see ew
Food is always good here.

Excellent food. Excellent service.
My wife and I tried Thai Basil 🌿 tonight finally. We live in the neighborhood. I am pleased to say it was amazing !! We got the vegetable fried rice - and Thai basil eggplant. It was very tasty ! Will come again for sure !

Service and good here is great. Never been to Thailand but I heard this place is authentic like back in the old country.

My husband and I are obsessed with Thai food, and this is the best place in Santa Clarita. The Tom Kah Kai (coconut curry soup) is delicious and unforgettable.
Bad food quality and even worse customer service
great happy hour prices on beer.
smelly.
sticky table.
dirty dishes.
putrid beef.
The worst thai food I've ever had. The flavors consisted of oil, more oil, and a dash of oil. I don't think they used any kind of sauce other then the mass amounts of oil in the drunken spicy noodles. FYI don't get the pad thai either, basically the same tasteless gloop with crushed peanuts on top.
Very disappointed food was terrible, no flavor, over cooked noodles. Even the wontons were not good like the wraps were old. I had done take out. I am not sure if there’s new owners, new cook or what, but not the same. I threw it all in the trash it was that bad.
Well, I usually love Thai food, and I would prefer to give a place a great review, if I can.
I can't.
The food was not good at all.
It wasn't prepared with care or kindness.
More like the opposite: Salty, greasy, and not very enjoyable.
If most Thai was like theirs, I would never eat Thai food.
Not authentic and not taste good. Soup watered down. Noodles had no taste. Called the restaurant and they won’t accept their food are not good. Not recommended. I won’t be going back. Go to other Thai restaurants, don’t waste your money here.
Bad food and horrible customer service. Food was tasteless and told us to not come back to the reateraunt.
For the last 2-3 times we had bad experience with the food. Today we ordered Red Curry with Chicken for pickup. My Grandson could not even eat one spoon. It was only water and no curry. It was flavor less. When we called the restaurant the lady on there other end was rude. And told my wife not to come back to restaurant. Though she refunded the money but she rude in person as well. I don't recommend this Restaurant at all.
I have been going to this place for over 8 years and always enjoyed their food until today. My take out order was simple - a rice and a curry dish. Both were so salty that they are inedible. The flavor also seemed very different than what I am used to. Not sure if the owner has changed. Regardless, I won't be coming back. Shame on the restaurant for serving food to customers that are full of salt and absolutely inedible.
Interesting Thai place with a fascinating menu. The food is very nice and feels very traditional and authentic. We have had some great food here especially during the Covid years.
Just moved to Plum Canyon neighborhood, so this is just down the street. Mt first attempt at Thai restaurants is always chicken Pad Thai, #3 spicy, because it is the safest item on the menu. Here's the result: Tasty, solid, 1,000+ calorie meal. Leaves a little red stain on chop sticks from oil, but is no where near being greasy. That is the sweet spot for pan fried noodles. The chicken was pounded thin and was very tender. spicy number 3 was like spicy #2 at most places, although they did give me an extra pack of Sambal Olek chili paste (ordered take-out). had the expected ingredients like bean sprouts, shredded carrot and chopped peanut, but no cilantro. I would have given them 5 stars if it the sauce tasted like fish sauce, tamarind and palm sugar, but it did not. The sauce tasted like tomato paste, corn syrup and soy sauce. Basically Americanized Thai food. Still good, but Americanized.
Dined here several times as well as ordered takeout. I've always eaten it at lunchtime. The place is small but comfortable and usually has tables available on weekday afternoons. Comprehensive menu with loads of traditional Thai dishes as well as popular favorites. There's also a lunch menu which is great if you're looking for a well rounded including soup or salad, an entree and a side. The quantity is decent for one person and for the price. A la carte is much more extensive and all the dishes are great. You really can't go wrong here but I highly recommend the fish dishes and spicy seafood ones. The Chef's Special are the best and I'm steadily working my way down the list. Service is great and very quick, prices are reasonable, quantities are just right for one person. Great place for quick Thai lunch. Takeout and delivery are good too.
The food is always delicious and made excellent. I would say the food is well worth the money you pay for it.
CRAB FRIED RICE!!!
Meet was so tuff you could not chew. The soup had zero meat even though I it should have come with chicken and shrimp. Would not order again.
Terrible customer service! We called to let them know an item was missing from our order and she yelled at us and hung up on us!!!
This is the best Thai food in the SCV! Great food and great service!
Good local Thai restaurant..usually never crowded which is a plus.
Really good
Hoping it's better next time, if there is a next time.
Customer service was lacking at this place.
Being a first time customer was hoping to walk into a friendly atmosphere.
To make a story short, was never said hello too or thank you. They just took my order, then my money and sent me on my way. Not a word in between. I get better customer service through a Mc Donald's drive through.
I could understand if they were busy, but they werent.
Based only on the Food 4 stars. Very delicious Wonton soup. However, the Service sucks, the woman at the counter is extremely rude, and non apologetic. Lacks customer service skills and is very dismissive.
It's the best Thai food in Santa Clarita. Pad Thai is outstanding.

Authentic thai food place
If I were you, I would avoid this place. I visited it for the first time and I’m not going back.
The lady at the register was more interested in YouTube than servicing customers. As I started asking questions about the menu, she opened YouTube, turned up the volume, and ignored me.
The store does not take credit card for amounts under $15. The lady told me she would not take my CC unless the order met their store minimum.
Finally, the defiant tone queued a need to find service elsewhere.
I checked the pizza place next door where service was awesome!
Good food but a little over priced
Pricing is different than what’s on the website. When asked nobody in the restaurant has any answer. Food is mediocre! Overpriced!
Great food and amazing service
My go-to Thai restaurant! The service is always great when you dine in and they're close enough to me to deliver if I just want to stay in!
I’m starting to believe people in Santa Clarita have never had real authentic Thai food. I’ve lived here two years and have tried almost every Thai restaurant in the valley and none of them are more than basic americanized thai, including this one. Try Wanya in Canyon Country. I tried it yesterday and am so happy I found real legit thai food!!!
Fantastic food, always fresh. Recommend stopping in when you can as everything tastes even better.
I did not care for the food but the service was good. I have not been back to give it another try.
The food is excellent and there were tables open on Saturday night.
Never been here
This is an average Thai restaurant with average food. I’m from Seattle and have had fantastic authentic Thai cuisine. If that’s what you’re looking for then going here will be disappointing for you.
Toooooo gooood
Met family and friends for dinner...
Solid Thai food. The pad prik King is very good. Green curry and Panang also delicious. I noticed a lot of people order Chinese food here. I wouldn't do that, ever at a Thai place. Stick with the classic Thai dishes. Soups are yummy, but I found the larb a bit too tangy. And if you want Chinese food go to a Chinese place. My 2 cents...
I will never come to this place again. The orange chicken was all batter. The beef salad had so much fat. It was gross. It doesn't even deserve one star.
Ordered a lunch special item that came with a side of broccoli asked server to exclude broccoli made sure she understood not to include broccoli, I was taking it to go, after driving home a 10min. Drive, I brought container inside and as soon as I lifted the lids container I could smell the broccoli, there was at least 4 trees of broccoli, that I quickly removed although meal had already been contaminated. If I hadn't just hated broccoli, someone would could and should be dead right now. food allergen's beware at this place.
While the food itself is standard, the customer experience was beyond atrocious. Despite living nearby, deliveries would often take over an hour to come and they even threatened to stop deliveries if we didn’t tip better!
The only reason I’m giving this restaurant two stars instead of a one is because of its okay dine-in experience.
I have been to many Thai restaurants and to be honest this is the BEST Thai food I have ever had since I was BORN!!!!! The salad was plenty, the sweet n sour chicken is fabulous. Fast service and excellent waitress. I will come back for the next 99 years again even though I live in the SFV. If I had a helicopter I would eat here every day for lunch and dinner.
Always get delivery and delivery service is very quick. Orders are always accurate. I stick with the basics but the pad thai is always above average. The food is prepared fast and prices are fair.
Always fresh, but overall the servings are a bit smaller than other local spots. I think u pay for the atmosphere more than anything
Been there three times and got different things. I kept thinking maybe it will be better... or at least good. It never was.
Good tasting food. Best if you like a little spice! in your food..
Ordered chow main and sweet and sour chicken, it is horrible!!!! Chicken is nonexistent so much dough, gross!
Never will eat there again!!!
Love this place!! I usually get the Yellow Curry with Chicken or Shrimp and it's absolutely delicious everytime! Along with a boba thai iced tea yummmmy
Great food and great service! Love the Pad Thai. They deliver too, which is nice.
They got both my orders terribly wrong thanks but no thanks food was 5/10
The staff is always helpful and the food is always on point. It's not life changing, but definitely worth a try.
I love this place!!! The staff is super friendly. Our food is always cooked the way we want it. I love their Pad Thai, Pork Jerkey, Garlic Pepper chicken, and their Thai Iced Tea. They even deliver!
I've been waiting an hour and a half for my food, after they said it would be less than an hour. Called ten minutes ago and they said it would be five to ten minutes. If you want their food just go to the restaurant because it wont arrive to your house. Still haven't eaten, if the food ever gets here it better be amazing.
Their pineapple fried rice I amazing. I took my wife and family here, and they've loved it ever since. Their wonton soup is so delicious too. I recommend those and also their orange chicken, and fried calamari. I definitely come here quite often.
Excellent Thai. We live near by and order takeout at least once a week and have been for years. Food is consistently good, decently quick delivery and food is always piping hot. Love it!
Yummy food!!! The spicy seafood platter amazing
