For the entrees, we ordered a side of sticky rice, pad Thai, and green curry. The pad Thai was tasty and there was a generous amount. There was a small amount of beef in the green curry but I did enjoy the sauce. There’s plenty of vegetarian options and they do have some vegan options as well. Overall a great casual neighborhood spot.

All were super fresh and flavorful. We will be coming back. Servers were super helpful, friendly and quick!!

We had dinner her a few days back and I can't believe I did not know this place. It is in Santa Monica and I love Thai food. This place is just great.

The place is beautiful and comfortable. Wherever you sit, you will be very comfortable. It is also so clean and I love their restrooms. It is really nice with a lovely entry and the decor is great.

The service here is so good. They come to you as soon as you are seated and are happy to help with the menu. The food is served hot and pretty fast. We were checked on a few times and that is important to me as I tend to add more food or drink.

All of their food is great. Their appetizers really stand out and I often order a bunch for the table and turn that into my dinner. That is what I did here. We loved the Bangkok Roll which is a vegetable roll with mixed greens, fresh basil leaves, cucumber, carrot, angel hair and tofu wrapped in a fine rice paper and served on a bed of homemade sweet & sour and mustard sauce. The Shrimp Roll is my favorite. It is just like the Bangkok roll except you have shrimp instead of tofu. YUM. The emperor duck rolls are a must try with rice paper wrap stuffed with mixed greens, basil leaves, cucumbers, angel hair and roasted duck meat. It is wonderful

If I could give a negative star, I would. We enjoyed our meal but when we got back to our hotel, we realized that our 15% tip was turned into a 25% tip from our credit card charge alert. I didn’t ask for the receipt but we remember what the total should have been. Now it would be our word against theirs. Please be aware!!!!!

I am so sad that the food was so bad the Pas Se-eau had no flavour and if that is not bad bad enough, the pineapple fried rice was even worse. I just think they don’t know what good Thai food is and don’t have enough sauce or seasoning on anything. Go find a better spot for authentic thai food because this place does not deliver based off their reviews.

We had the Pad Thai with Chicken & Shrimp, and the Panang Curry. Both were absolutely delicious! We also had the Lychee Iced Tea which is made in house and that, too, was absolutely delicious and refreshing.

Getting Pad Thai with tofu felt like a bit of a rip-off, given the price had chicken/shrimp built in. I wish they’d discount a bit for such an inexpensive protein. The portion itself was large.

After spending months in Bangkok it was so nice to stop by this place and chat about the city with the staff here. I definitely suggest stopping by if you get a chance, this place is so lovely. The food, the atmosphere, and of course the wonderful staff.

A place to ABSOLUTELY avoid.

I walked in with my partner, all the tables are empty (except one table with two customers).

The staff showed us two tables (for 2) that are on the corners of the restaurant. We kindly asked if we can be seated on a bigger table because we were planning to order a lot of food. The waiter told us that he can’t give us a bigger table because they are for bigger groups. We told him that entire restaurant is empty and it shouldn’t be a big deal. He gave us an attitude and told us that he can’t do that. So we left.
I would understand if the restaurant was busy or if there was a line.

Me and my friend were on a 6 day vacation in LA. On our 2nd day, we stumbled upon this restaurant. I am so glad that we found this place because it was amazing ! The food was great and the service amazing. So great, that during our 6 day stay we came back… 3 times ! A special thank you to our waitress Paulla that was super friendly and always greeted us with a big smile. Also a big thank you to her colleague that remembered us on our last night and helped me out with my phone charger.

Terrible service. Waited 15 minutes to be seated. One seated, no one came by or acknowledged us. After 25 minutes of being seated without anyone coming to greet us, we left. I would never waste my time and try coming back here.

Ate here three times already since i’ve been to LA! Recommend the Thai Milk Tea, Tom Kha soup, fried rice and Thai sticks.

One of the best Thai restaurants in town. I love Bangkok Rolls dish, 😋the best sauce I ever taste in my life, creamy and tasty; it's a perfect combination. Then it's Rote with a yellow curry dipping sauce with spicy and sweet coconut cream. I am already full after this appetizer. Now spaghetti khee maw (spicy), a smells of hot basil, chilies pepper, I can't stop eating after the first bite. They are so good. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Place seemed short staffed, it was very busy so service took a while but every staff member was nice. Food was mediocre at best. Asked for spiciest level for both my dishes but they were not spicy at all (I’m assuming it’s to cater to the majority of guests who can’t handle real spice!) the prices were also very high—much higher than normal for Thai dishes.

Stumbled upon this cute restaurant and grabbed dinner here. I found them to be one of the most vegetarian friendly restaurants I’ve ever seen in the US. They have indicated many of the meat dishes on their menu as “can be made vegetarian” which is very helpful. Our server recommended lychee iced tea and I’m so glad I ordered it. It was fantastic! We got Panang curry and Thai red curry with jasmine rice. Both were delicious. Curry portion size is extremely generous. Service was super quick, very friendly and overall we loved our visit here. Restroom is super clean as well.

Thai food traditional, Clean and nice 👌

Nice cozy comfortable place with great service and amazing food. The portions were good for one and the balance of flavors and hot spice was perfect. After a long while we were finally able to finish all that we ordered instead of doggie-bagging the leftovers. Staff was great and explained everything well.

I was there on vacation with the family and went to several pricey restaurants, but Bangkok West was the real surprise, for half the price of the other restaurants we got a meal that was twice better. Easily the best meal we had on that vacation, their fried rice is probably the best I've ever head -- and as New Yorker, I had many -- the restaurant is also very pleasant and the staff is beyond friendly, I also had a great soup, and a great yellow curry, as well as an amazing desert which is thai version of a crepe but that even being on a strict diet, I could not resist. Truly a great restaurant and I would go there again when I am back in LA.

Hate to give just 1 star - but there was nothing good about my experience. Food was bland, over cooked and soggy. I had the Ginger Soup....no taste of Ginger and the Jasmine rice was overcooked and mushy. Had Pad Se-eau as well - no flavor at all...no broccoli either. Also had the gyoza, again flavorless and soggy. I had to wait for at least an hour for my order, and expected it to be hot! Fresh and flavorful. It was none of those. I understand shot staff, but if this is how the food taste...then it gets the 1 star. :(

Visited Bangkok West Thai late at night just before closing (arrived at 8 PM when closing at was 9 PM), and selected the Pho Noodle under Famous World Soup category since that was what I was craving. I wasn't really too impressed because the flavors were a bit bland, but maybe that's on me for selecting a Pho dish at a Thai restaurant. There's a wide variety of items on their menu and I feel like there were probably other options I could've picked that would've landed better, since everything else around looked really good. Would definitely visit to try something else.

Saturday night was our first time here. I can't believe I lived in Santa Monica for so long and didn't know about it. That's what happens when you drive most of the time. We were walking by and on our way somewhere else for dinner when we stopped in. We love Thai food and the place was beautiful and inviting . We stayed for dinner and had Panang curry with pork and pad Thai and it was delicious!! Their hot sake is one of the best I've tasted (we just wish it was a larger size:)

I have a rather difficult order and they always accommodate my substitutions and are so nice about it. I genuinely appreciate this restaurant and staff.

Placed an order an hour before their closing time through Postmates, and after 53 minutes they cancelled our order. When I called to inquire, I was told that it was too close to closing time, they didn't get to our order, and that next time we should just call in the order. I do feel if they'd prefer customers not use Postmates then they should take themselves off Postmates. By the time they cancelled our order, we were not able to place orders most other places as it was five minutes until 9.

I am very fond of Thai food and spicy dishes but the dishes here were very salty and difficult to eat even when mixed with the plain rice and salads. The beef and the chicken dishes ordered were of poor quality.

Went to this place on a bit of a whim and holy cow it was well worth it!! The prices were pretty fair and the food was really flavorful and well balanced, the staff were very attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere of the dining room was very relaxed and softly lit. This place makes my favorite cashew nut chicken, so I don't even know what else is good here.

I swear I ordered Spicy Ramen with Beef. The waitress (Aoki) then asked how spicy and I told her medium. I get a Pad Ke-May Beef. Not sure what the hell this was. I looked at her confused and she just walked away. I was told by a different waitress that is what she had written down that I had ordered. If you want a surprise for lunch this is the place to go, but if you want what you ordered you should try somewhere where they listen to the customers.

Ordered takeout there on my visit to LA. Definitely top of the line Thai food but it is a bit expensive (I guess that’s normal for LA). The Tom Yum soup has real ginger in it which really hit the spot. I decided to be a bit basic and get the Chicken Pad Thai which was also really good. I was pleasantly surprised by all the food. I’ll definitely come back here if I’m in the area again.
