We went yesterday Sunday with my husband and daughter. It was our first time there. The food is very good and we were excited to return. The waitress, who was a somewhat passive aggressive lady, treated us very intensely and did not serve us a plate of ribs that we had never ordered. We had only asked her the price. Even so, we did not say anything and we received it and obviously we were going to pay for it. She brought our bill of $166.90 and demanded that we pay her the 20.00% tip, which was $33.38 or 18.00%$30.00 the bill says "gratuity suggestion" My husband did not give her exactly that amount and said, "Are you only going to give me this?" she got so angry that she started mistreating us, she treated us as badly as if we hadn't stolen the food she even reluctantly threw our takeout bags at us and started yelling, complaining to her other colleague, it was so humiliating and embarrassing after everything we spent at the restaurant, the food is very good but we concluded not to return never, the waitress's manner is very unethical, I don't know if she's the owner but the tip is not mandatory and it depends on the quality of the service, I was already asking myself why her "kindness" was so false, I had never felt so bad, I recommend the restaurant and the food is a total success, but I hope they don't have this lady so arrogant, I hope she's the only one like that, it's not the restaurant's policy and it's not a business that operates within a fine line of ethics and questionable parameters according to the California Revised Law SB-478 on automatic tipping for establishments. Trying to charge us predetermined tips, Employees should not demand tips from customers, they should not expect customers to top up their salary, much less with such a despotic and arrogant attitude. Tips are something that is voluntary and if the service is worthy of quality in terms of kindness, it should be something natural, not forced to the point of almost twisting the customer's arm to give them what they demand, whether they like it or not. It was unpleasant. What a shame we had found a good place.

It’s sad to say that the service isn’t what it once was, I came back as a returning customer and the service was horrible and that was that it was takeout. The waiter was Extremely unpleasant and rude. She also tried to forced me not give her a tip when obviously there was no service what so ever. She went as far as writing an amount her self so if I get charged any amount either than the listed on my receipt I will be contacting the proper authorities as this will be considered theft. A tip is your choice not a requirement. This bullshit has got to stop I get that it’s the way a waiter makes a living, but you gave me no service what so ever, if anything I would tip the cook, but after you treatment I won’t even be coming back

Went to Thai Dishes in Santa Clarita for the first time. Restaurant is set up very nicely. We ordered Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. Food tasted great. Service was quick and great. Paula was our server. She was incredibly friendly and came and checked up on us several times to make sure everything was to our liking. She even gave us free Thai iced tea since this was our first time at Thai Dishes. Definitely going there again and will be requesting Paula as our server!

I come here often. I have tried many of the dishes. Many of them taste good. Kai Koor Noodle & Kee Maw Noodle taste the same though, so don't get fooled by the different names. I receive friendly customer service by the older woman (I don't know her name). My favorite dish is spicy fried rice & chow mein.

Note: I went to other Thai restaurant in Los Angeles, but I paid more money. You can get cheaper price from Thai Dishes that offer the same quality

We are new to the community and we decided for the very first time to eat outside. Thai food is our favorite. So we were looking for something good to try. The lady of this restaurant sounded so sweet and welcoming when we first entered. She came took our order so we started very quick with something for the table because all our 3 kids were hungry and especially our 5 years old she woke up from nap and hungry so she was crying. We asked to get these couple things going. The server was sweet to our daughter, she gave her a little thing from the restaurant trick or treat bucket until the food came.
After the kids started eating we were quite my husband ordered his entree while they were taking the appetizers so they brought it to the table ( which they should have waited until everyone oreder their entree) but that is not a the problem. The kids were happy at this moment. We kept waiting for plates and serving spoons no one came by to check. My husband had to go to the front to ask and the lady apologized that she didn't bring them earlier. So she handed my husband the serving plates and spoons. We have already started with what we got and waited and waited she didn't even look at us or come by to check. My husband had to go back to the front to see if she could come by to take our order and she told him it is going to be a while until she can and she doesn't want him to wait in a very rude way ( she seemed bothered by our kids) so my husband let her know on the spot how rude she is and told her to check us out. It was $70 for steamed dumplings, spring rolls, and yellow curry and beer. Over all very loud lady who called ppl name too loud to hand then their online order. Very unprofessional. Not a kids friendly. We like to eat outside and enjoy the experience otherwise just get it delivered home. The environment is nice but the server is BAD and RUDE. The food hmmmm we don't know because really we didn't get to try it. We are not going there that for sure. I suggest you go somewhere else.

FYI she asked me why my daughter crying I said she hunger and she wants the phone. She said why don't you give her the phone LOL are you in your mind to even ask customer and parents why ?!!

Thai Dishes is my absolute safe haven. I get it about once a week (twice if I’m feeling real good) and get the Spicy Thai Basil Chicken<3. It’s my absolute favorite meal ever. Paula & staff are super sweet and fast and are guaranteed to treat you right! Do yourself a favor and take a visit to treat your tastebuds, you won’t regret it!

The food is always great as we regularly do take out from here, and they are always so nice by providing free thai tea with the purchases. This time we went in person and the food was consistently great but be wary as the portions for the drinks are quite large! So come with a big appetite and you will not be disappointed 👌🏽

I've been coming here for a long time, and I absolutely love it. Our server, Paula, was super gracious and really nice and she actually gave us some free stuff. I ordered mango sticky rice because I didn't know they didn't have it on the menu and they were nice enough to make it anyway. All the food is great and super fresh; I love the orange chicken especially but I don't think I've ever had a bad dish. I 100% recommend it.

Traveling through CA from AZ and found this nice place. The food was great, the place is cozy and very nicely decorated, but what really did it for me is the lady running the place. She was very nice and sweet. There are not many times where you experience that welcome sensation that I got in this place. We need more people like that in the world.

I don't live around here but when I'm out here for work I am coming back...

I ordered 3 fried rice and a chicken satay last night around 8:45 PM by phone and told them specifically i can pick up only after 25 mins. When i went to pick up the food, the cashier lady extremely arrogant, She insisted me to pay either 14% or 18% tip. I said i can pay 5$ tip for the pick up order and she was so RUDE and took the receipt so harsh. I took my friend suggesting him this place for the pick up order and he was so surprised why would some one demand tip for a togo order and so rude.

This will be my last order and i never want to go again. The food is good but the cashier needs to be replaced or learn manners. Tip on a pick up order should not be demanded, i don’t want to tip 18$ for my order of 80$ for a pick
up.

Whoever runs this place please coach your cashier to be kind and not to demand tips in an arrogant way. Extremely disappointed with her.

Ive literally never reviewed a place before but well yeah. I used to love this place, and have recommended it to a lot of people who liked it as well until recently. I hadn’t ordered in awhile but today my husband and I ordered takeout/delivery, and to my dismay I realized why so many of our friends have stopped ordering here. They have literally cut their portions in half, including not putting entire ingredients in their recipes that normally are there. I understand inflation, but for their already expensive prices when you receive less than half the portion that you are normally served but charged $20+ for that dish. Beyond ridiculous, and the flavor was all but missing. On top of all of this, 2/4 of the items we ordered were missing entirely. Extremely disappointed, the best thai place in scv is going down the drain. I was even thinking of ordering a different thai place but I literally said, this is thai valencia what could go wrong. Wish I wouldn’t have ordered here and wont be again. Sad sad sad, thank you for turning me into a Karen thai valencia.

My daughter and I had dinner here for the first time tonight and were so impressed with the ambiance, service, and the food was delicious. The wonton strips and potstickers were very good but my favorite dish was the pineapple fried rice and the Thai tea. Our server Paula was so sweet and attentive. We will definitely be coming back! My family and I ordered takeout from here tonight. I was told over the phone it would be ready in 45 minutes. I arrived 50 minutes later and was told they were working on it. I waited inside for another hour and a half. I asked to cancel my order and kept getting the run around. The lady at the register said it’s almost ready and then charged my card. It was another 40 mins after she charged my card. I asked to just have my card refunded and she said it’s almost ready. She was very frazzled and the rest of the staff as well. A bunch of us were waiting on our orders and we were told to go Iook in the kitchen at the line of ticket orders they had lined up. If I would have been told it was going to be this long I wouldn’t have placed the order to begin with but to be told 45 minutes and to then have to wait this long was outrageous. People inside the restaurant that were waiting to be served canceled their orders and walked out. I’ve never seen anything like this. Will never order from here again. The food was just ok not memorable at all.

The food is good, however tonight we ordered take out for the four of us and we were very disappointed in the portions for the price. My husband and I each ordered a curry dish with rice. The only difference is that i added broccoli to mine. These meals were $18.99 per dish, which we thought was pricy to begin with, but the amount of food we got was not worth this price. My husband received this tiny container and mine was double the size of his.. because i added broccoli i'm guessing? They also gave us 1 container of rice to share. To me this was obnoxious for how much they charge. Food is decent but I will not be back due to how overpriced it is.

Thai Dishes is a lovely restaurant. The food is so flavorful and the service is fantastic. I would highly recommend!

Green curry was delicious. The mild was perfect. Hola was a terrific hostess and took great care of us!!

Oh man… I just walked in to order Pad Thai, being that it is noon, I saw a lunch menu on the table and asked about if they do that on Saturday’s. No kidding… she YELLED at me and said ‘No! Lunch menu only Monday -Friday. When you want lunch menu you come back M-F”. I was so shocked, I just set the regular dinner menu down and walked out. That’s not just bad business, it’s bad manners! Never going to that place again.

The food is extremely well prepared by an experienced chef. I would definitely pay for the recipe if only such a recipe wasn't worth its weight in gold.

The food was really good and authentic, the place is really pretty and relaxing, really quiet to go have some peaceful time. It was also decorated very nicely and the workers were extremely kind and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely go back

Small little place, been to the mexican food place next door. Food was good with fair price. We shared the yellow curry and pad thai.Thai. it's not close to where I live, but if I'm in the area I'll try one of the other dishes they have.

Although we arrived late in the evening when I'm sure staff wanted to go home, the waitress was friendly and served our food promptly. Enjoyed the food and recommend eating there.

Amazing and Fast Service. Pineapple fried rice was delicious and had a nice presentation. My mom is a typically a picky eater but she loves this place and highly recommended it. I got the Seafood soup and it had a hefty amount of fish. In addition, the ambience is very cozy and well decorated. Definitely coming back!

paula is the owner and she and her staff are so kind and wonderful. the food is always so delicious and the portions are huge and prepared so quickly. the atmosphere is very warm and paula always make me feel like i'm family! definitely my favorite restaurant in the valley! and they have tons of vegan options!

I like the food there but the bill had no information of any of the food we ordered when asked they said the soup was $20

2/14/2023 update: this place has terrible service and today’s experience pushed me to update my former review which I left below this update. Yesterday I paid cash for my “takeout” order and was told by the woman working the restaurant that she didn’t have change to give me what I was owed, and said she was very busy. She told me to have a good day. If a business doesn’t have the required change owed, you shouldn’t make your customer take the burden, find change or round up! After many experiences of poor service and experience I will not be returning.

Great food, friendly service, and amazing lunch specials. We walked out after eating lunch there today wondering why we don’t visit more often. This is one the favorites here in Valencia for me. Been going here for as long as I can remember. Tip: try the rice, with ground chicken, and a fried egg on top. It’s not on the menu, but delicious- just wish I knew the name 🤔

Paula is a joy when she greets and serves us. Always with a smile and authentic Thai food to boot. You won't go wrong with this small and intimate setting.

Nooo to pushi they like to force you to buy there food

We usually go here just for lunch combinations. All of their dishes have been very good. Have not tried the pad thai. Egg rolls That come with lunch are typical Chinese type, Kind of mushy, so not a favorite of mine.

Our host was very friendly. She gave us free Thai ice teas. Under staffed though(lots of businesses are now as they don't want to or can't hire staff at the higher living wages) Food was yummy. Tom yum ka soup needed chili oil and the spoon was too big for the sterno pot making it difficult to serve🥣

We had lunch here last Sunday and was very pleased with the food. Service was top notch and the sticky rice with mango is a definite must have. A bit on the pricey side but the dishes were well worth it.

Atmosphere and service was nice. Food was average. I expect much more interesting flavors when I eat Thai. Even the "spicy" dishes were barely spicy.

The price is super high, portions of meal and desserts are getting smaller and their "free" Thai tea is watered down.

Long time I have not eaten here. God, they went really down! Some of the worst food I ever had. The "fried" rice was a watery paste that I refused to eat. The rest belongs to a Lovecraft novel. The prices were also very high for such low quality ($16 a dish!), three people ended up paying $97 with tip included. Avoid it like the delta variant!

Amazing food but they close at 9 so they kept rushing us to order but that's their job which we completely understand. I just felt they rushed us a little but the food was delicious. The service overall was great as well.

They’ve mixed up the orders and gave me the wrong one, and never apologized to me on the phone. I was a kind of regular but I’m not going to be there anymore.

I rarely give bad reviews but, I have not had a worse Pad See You anywhere else in the world. It tasted like greasy, slimy, soggy, soy sauce noodles. It's a bunch of salty slop.

Usually when I order Thai food, it is at least decent. I cannot say the same for this place; especially for the price.

What happened tonight? Usually very good when I've ordered on Uber eats, but tonight was bad food. I got the pad Thai which didn't taste fresh, it was very fishy even though I ordered it with no meat, only veggies. The mango sticky rice was not neatly placed like usual, very messy looking dish chunks of mango thrown in,n athey poured coconut milk on it which they don't normally do. I didn't like it.

First time here last time here ... the lady was very weird ... she helped everyone around us but us . When asked for a box to go she put her hands up at me and made me wait 20 mins for a box but handed me the check FYI I was the only African American in the restaurant smh 🤦🏾‍♀️
