Cozy restaurant serving traditional Thai fare in a casual setting with mural art & bamboo accents.

I went for the Chili Cha Cha Spicy Pan Fried Noodle. It's packed with egg noodles, duck, veggies, fresh chili, and basil. It's got a real kick to it!

This time, I tried the Chili Cha Cha Spicy Pan Fried Noodle, which consists of egg noodles stir-fried with duck, mixed vegetables, fresh chili, and basil leaves. It's quite spicy. Overall, it tastes good, but the strong flavor of white pepper tends to overshadow the other ingredients, which is a bit disappointing. We also ordered their mango sticky rice for dessert, and it was delicious! I would wholeheartedly recommend their Pad See-ew.

Returning for the second time to Chili Cha Cha 2, I was determined to take on their ultimate spice challenge: "very hot." Just like in my previous review, I was ready for an unforgettable experience.
Our choice for starters was the Dressed Prawn (6pcs) – fried marinated prawns enveloped in a delicate spring roll sheet, accompanied by a sensational Sriracha cream sauce. The cream sauce, in particular, was an absolute delight.
This time around, I ordered the Thai Spicy Pan Fried Noodle (PAD KEE MAO). This dish, a symphony of flat rice noodles stir-fried with an array of ingredients including mushrooms, bamboo shoots, broccoli, bell pepper, onion, and basil, was a spicy adventure I couldn't resist. I must admit, the spice level had my forehead breaking a light sweat, but oh, was it worth it! The dish was an explosion of deliciousness, with flavors that truly delighted my taste buds.
For the true spicy food enthusiasts, the "very hot" level is a must-try. It's a fiery punch that leaves a memorable impression. However, if you prefer occasional spice, I'd recommend the medium or hot level for a satisfying kick without setting your taste buds ablaze.

We had the Pad See-Ew at Chili Cha Cha 2, a dish that features pan-fried flat rice noodles with Chinese broccoli, egg, and chicken, all seasoned with black soy sauce. We opted for the "hot" level of spiciness, and it truly left a remarkable impression on us!
In terms of taste and flavor, this Pad See-Ew ranks among the top 3 I've ever had, even compared to the ones in Albany, CA, and New York. The seasoning was on point, perfectly balanced and satisfying. When the waitress brought the dish to our table, the sight of the hot steam escaping from it only added to our anticipation. (Please find the attached photo for reference!)
The dish was incredibly flavorful and delicious, with just the right amount of spiciness – a feature that I personally enjoyed the most. In fact, my partner found it so spicy that he was sweating throughout the entire meal! He even commented that it was spicier than the Pad See-Ew he had in Thailand – quite the compliment!
The attentive and accommodating service from our server was much appreciated. She consistently checked in with us, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable.
I'm already looking forward to our next visit, where we plan to try the next spicy level, "very hot"! Overall, our experience at Chili Cha Cha 2 was fantastic, and I can confidently recommend it to anyone craving some flavorful and spicy Pad See-Ew.
Excellent Thai restaurant. Three of us ordered the spicy pan-fried noodles w/duck, friend ordered the Thai eggplant and green beans in Thai spices, seafood saute in Thai sauce, Tom Kha soup, papaya salad with prawns and lastly fried bananas w/ice cream. Everything and I mean Everything is so yummy and delicious 😋
The food and service here are fantastic! The lunch menu is unbeatable when it comes to both price and flavor. If you're looking for your go-to spot for Thai food, this is it. Highly recommend!
My favorite Thai spot in SF! Everything I’ve tried has been excellent - I recommend the string bean chili stir fry, papaya salad, duck noodle soup, pad kee mao, chili cha cha spicy pan fried noodle, and the yellow curry. The staff is also very friendly and the prices are reasonable for SF.
My current favorite Thai spot in the city
I adore this restaurant, they’re so welcoming and sweet here. I love the environment and the Pad See Ew is moat definitely not an ew. It’s so incredible and delicious.
Spicy string bean is the bomb! Everything else is also amazing!
Best Thai restaurant in San Francisco!!
Delicious food for good price and great hospitality. So far pad thai is my favorite. Good place for lunch
and dinner.
Delicious and decent prices
This place is a favorite. Food mostly consistently good and A1 service especially from Pat!
Great place that I love to visit.
VERY good food, reasonably priced

Have been coming here for a while with my family. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly! I love their pumpkin curry and fried rice.
Love this place! My neighborhood go to… and I don’t even like Thai food!
Súper rico y porciones abundantes. Delicioso, felicidades al chef!!!!
Really good and clean Thai food
That tornado beef is of one of the best Thai dishes I’ve ever had. The beef is nice and juicy and the sauce is to die for . Simply amazing and a must try .
This is way overdue review, been eating at the restaurant for a long time. I love their vegan food, is flavorful & delicious, always fresh.
Pumpkin curry but all curries are very good, fresh spring rolls & pad see ew without egg are the bomb , my to go dishes.

Ordered the chili cha cha fried rice, and the pad thai. Very tasty, good portions. But the pad thai was way too sweet in my opinion. Also if you're opting for high spice on the fried rice, beware. It's actually super spicy.
Yum yum yum…. I had the duck curry and it was yummy to the tummy, lol! Great quality and coming back for more!!
One of my favorite Thai places in mission! It’s affordable, down to earth, and yummy food.
I love this place! I’ve been a few times now and it’s great every time. A warning that the spicy is very spicy, but delicious. My favourites are the papaya salad, Tom kha soup, green curry, and pad kee mao. Affordable and consistently tasty. Additionally, the staff is very kind!
Really, really good Thai food. The Panang Curry is is especially great, definitely recommend.
Definitely will go back again
Everything was perfect. Tasty food, good prices, nice service. Totally recommending.
T in TX
Best Thai I’ve had in SF. The service is very fast and friendly! Also, very reasonably priced lunch special gets you soup, side item, and main meal! I would highly recommend and would come back here more often if I lived in the area. I got the Green Curry with chicken, and ordered it extra spicy. The spicy levels were on point! Extra spicy actually means extra spicy, unlike other places that pay no mind to your specific heat level preferences.
Ordered delivery directly from their website and it was amazing. Food came fast and was still hot. Spicy eggplant, tofu pad Thai, and fisherman's madness were all incredible. We did a range of medium to hot and all had good spice AND good flavor, which is appreciated. We'll definitely check it out in person soon.
Food was better before. Pad Thai was very sweet. No limes, peanuts or chili. Won't go back any time soon. The spicy string beans with beef was good though.
Delicious food and wonderful staff.
This place is pretty CHILL-y! It makes me want to cha cha 💃
Pad see ew was so good, I ubereats twice after eating at the restaurant. Thai tea is delicious and the mango sticky rice is delicious.
I love this Thai restaurant. Their papaya salad, lemongrass beef and larb with sticky rice are amazing. They serve beer and wine. It's a bit pricey. Also, make sure you ask for mild. Their food tends to be too hot if you're not used to too spicy.
Their food was amazing! I crave Thai but don't often find a place with good taste and fresh ingredients. This place was just perfect and I'm coming back! Also, very good vegetarian options
Two words: friggin delicious.
Die Lunch Combo ist zwar günstig, aber die Portionen sind etwas klein. Reis und Nudeln waren ohne Soße und daher war das Essen trocken. Es hat ok geschmeckt, aber es war nichts besonderes.
My favorite Thai restaurant!!
The staff is always friendly and the food is absolutely fantastic. Major good vibes at this place. Good people and great food!!!
The food is always delicious, the orders are always accurate and prompt and not too expensive. What more could you want from a neighborhood Thai spot?
This place has a great specials. Great food, good service. The staff is really friendly. They have also indoor seating.
This is favorite Thai restaurant in the Mission and possibly SF. One of my favorite plates here are the green beans (your choice of protein with all the plate), and spicy basil! The curry all of them are delicious. I really like the lunch combo plate, its a good deal for $14.95You get a choice of entree, rice, i chose coconut, and choice of salad or soup. I got for the salad... always. Their dressing is sooo good. The lychee drink is tasty and very sweet. If you don't like sweet drinks don't get this or the thai iced tea.i myself love them
Didn't fully enjoy the coconut sweet milky soup. In addition you get a choice of appetizers either fried pot stickers (my choice), crispt tofu, or spring rolls. Lastly i cannot go without recommending that for dessert you go with the fried banana with a scoop of ice cream. Its to die for!!! Enjoy!!!!!
Seriously some of the best Thai food in SF, love their thom ka gai!
Very tasty food. You can spice it up or down to your liking which I appreciate because my boyfriend likes a different level of spice than I do. The lunch specials are especially good, prices are reasonable and the staff friendly. I do wish they would be a little more generous with the dipping sauces. I really love the tofu spring rolls but the sauce is maybe a tablespoon worth per order. I've ordered take out a few times and asked for extra sauce and offered to pay for it but all I get is another tablespoon worth. Same when dining in🤷♀️. In my opinion the Pad Thai here isn't great and neither is the fried rice but everything else we've had here is seriously yummy! MORE DIPPING SAUCE PLEASE!!
Always a good bet for Thai food in SF. Chili Cha Cha is one of my favorites.
Great place to eat. Fast service, and food comes out hot and tasty.
Favorite place to have vegetarian lunch. Great food and good price. Staff is very friendly.
All people are very friendly service is very good, Patt always with the smile 😃 and my salmon with avocado 🥑 😋 mmmmm! and my green te ice cream delicious 😋 wow 👏 👌
Food was good for the area. Portions were big. There could be a little more variety of vegetables in the dishes for flavor.
This is my default Thai takeout place in SF. Their curries, fried rice, and noodle dishes are all solid. I do strongly prefer the dine in experience to takeout there (it's quite cozy) but it has been very empty in the post-covid era when I've come in to pick up food.
It's amazing! food never disappoint me.
One of my favorite Thai places. Good flavor, good price, convenient located, fast and nice service.
All the food is great ! Really recommend the lunch special
Reasonable prices and quick takeout. Tornado beef was awesome! Can't wait for the next visit. :)
Great Thai food
It was CLOSED 👎
One of the best panang curry and Thai fried rice I’ve ever had in San Francisco. The portion size for the price is also incredible. this is definitely a hidden gem in highly recommend
Great food. Love the option of the plate or a la carte. Great value. Asked for extra hot and it was actually spicy, which is rare. Quick service as well. I highly recommend.
This place is so good and modestly priced for it's location in the city. I ordered bacon wrapped scallops and the beef tornado and it amounted to 30 bucks in all. The portions were perfect for me and the beef tornado was one of the best dishes I've had in years. I've only been away for 3 day's and I'm trying to find excuses to visit SF again to order more lol
Try the pumpkin chicken curry
This place is awesome. The staff was incredibly nice and the food was AMAZING!! I recommend the Pad Thai, Duck Curry, and the Spicy Pan Fried Noodles!! The food had amazing flavor! Sooooo much better than other Thai places in SF. Highly recommend!! :)
Love my tofu pad thai and spring rolls with peanut sauce. 🤗🥰
Great portions! Fast delivery! Tasty Food!
I've had my two favorite Thai places for years but think this is my new favorite. I got very fast delivery mid afternoon right before they closed and was very impressed by the portion size. My Tom yum tonight was great for my cold that I've had. I added a little water as the flavor is strong but that's a plus not a minus as more hot broth to make me better!
Nice job Chili Cha Cha! Green curry, Phase Thai and Pineapple Rice are all great!
Happy with my food every time I eat there and the workers are super sweet.
Great yellow curry. Great Packaging
Chili Cha Cha has been my lifeline for food during covid! Highly recommend the pad see ew, pumpkin city and green chili paste fried rice. Good serving sizes, great food, great prices, great service
We were pretty excited to try Chili Cha Cha 2 after seeing all of the good reviews, but we were underwhelmed with what we got. It was not bad, but definitely not impressive in terms of flavor.
Great authentic thai fusion food and friendly staff. Sadly the pandemic may make it permanently shutter. On 24th between south van ness and shotwell, you could pass it by if you didn't know where it was. The Thai iced tea and coffee are scrummy, possums. Hey, who let dame Edna in my public post?
Okay this place is bomb. Quick delivery, great staff. I got the coconut soup with seafood and they are not messing around. Huge calamari, prawns, mussels. It’s great.
One of my go-to places in the Mission. Good Thai food, generous portions, great value. (A total gem in SF.) What more could you ask for?! I like to get the pad see ew, any of the curries (green curry is great!) coconut rice and the papaya salad.
Simple thai at affordable prices that’s great for takeout.
Love their pumpkin curry and fried potstickers.
Very good food for the price you pay. You get a decent amount of food, and it is FILLED with flavor. I would recommend this to anyone who is in San Francisco. Quick service, amazing flavor, and GREAT prices!
My favorite Thai restaurant in the mission, love the green curry and the coconut soup
This is my favourite Thai place in San Francisco. Their red curry and spicy eggplant are incredible - I order these for take out at least once a week. Highly recommend trying those items ;)
Delicious food, big portions, friendly staff.
Excellent food at good prices and really friendly people!
The lunch special menu is great. In particular, the potstickers and the pad see ew are two standout dishes (panang curry is also great)
Great!!
One of my neighborhood favorites. Been here countless times and they're reliably good with just amazing prices for the city. If I lived any closer, I'd be fat as hell.
The best duck Curry ever
.uy Rica la sopa
Really fast and good food.
Your go to Thai food takeout restaurant. We got take out one chili (cha cha) evening in SF and it hit the spot. Get the panang curry - dank. Green beans - dank. Pad see ew? More like pad see yum. Kinda bland but still dank.
Great service and good food
Great ribs and sticky rice. Not so good side salad (iceberg - safer than romaine, I guess) it came with a dreadful yellowish dressing.
Great food
Great food and clientele.
The samosas and the tom kha soup were really good. They offer to make most of the items vegan friendly. I would definitely want this listing to show up when people search for vegan food.
Great coconut milk soup, even spicy if you ask for it, yet affordable
Oh yea. OH YEAH
Panang curry was delicious
Recommend the choo chee curry
Amazing duck noodle soup!! Oh my good, a must eat here!!
The place has a very nice ambience and the services was very quick!
Veganised options and lovely recipes!
Americanized Thai food.
Parang Avocado with salmon was to doe for! That and a Thai iced for under 20 bucks!
Went here for lunch and LOVED it. For $10 ish you get a soup, starter and a maincourse which were all fantastic. All of my orders were vegetarian items and had a good list of items to choose from even for the lunch menu. Will definitely go back during other times to try more food.
Nice staff, I really appreciate the lady telling me and showing me on receipt there was no tomatoes and mushrooms in my meal! One of the few places that sees each customer as an individual, and yummy food too! 😋
This is our go-to Thai restaurant. The pumpkin curry is the absolute best and when you ask for it to be spicy it really is spicy. You do have to order rice separately but it’s pretty cheap. The coconut rice is tasty on its own, but their food is so flavorful you can’t taste it much when combined with a main dish. Definitely heck this place out if you love Thai food.
This restaurant is very authentic and has some great food. The Tom Kha soup is amazing! The food is affordable, but the employees seemed very focused on their to go orders and nlt as much on my partner and I dining in the restaurant. I'd go back for the soup, but order it to go next time.
The food is amazing and the staff was so kind and accommodating to my loud large party.thank you chili!
really good food. good ambiance. reasonable price.
Good food and good service.
The food was fairly good except for the Pad Thai which was nothing like the original recipe and was burnt with smokey flavor. Unfortunately we won't be back because the service is terrible, the waitress is incredibly impatient and short tempered :-/
Very tasty panang curry. Thai ice tea was also very good.
Chili Cha Cha is a great option on those weeknights when you can't be bothered cooking. The staff are consistently lovely, the food is always on point (although sometimes the concept of spicy can vary based on who's in the kitchen), and the meals come out fresh and quickly.
Duck, duck, delicious duck!
Great small quiet place to go
This is a small hole in the wall restaurant. The lunch special is affordable for the price and it fills you right up. Try the crispy tofu, not many restaurants prepare it the way they do. The Thai tea was also great.
